Takata recall. The contact owns a 2015 mercedes-benz sprinter. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 19v004000 (air bags). The contact stated that mercedes-benz of manchester (located at 875 gold st, manchester, nh 03103, (603) 669-6788) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The part was not available for the repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
On multiple occasions, abs/esp/asr warning lights came on and cruise control became inoperative.sometimes the faults were cleared by turning engine off and restarting.other times the wheel speed sensor was replaced.a total of 3 sensors were replaced over time. One time happened when braking, which resulted in extended stopping distance. Once the transmission was locked in the lowest gear and would not shift.the most recent time the engine stopped at 45 mph while on the road. This was resolved by replacement of the abs module. Although no damage or injuries were sustained, at least 3 failure resulted in unsafe conditions and could have resulted in damage/injuries had the traffic conditions been slightly different.these failures have occurred over a period of 2 years (2017- 2019).speeds were 25-65 mph

Abs safety for our 2015 mercedes sprinter.the right rear sensor is defective.we are concerned about our safety not having brakes that should work according to the manufacture. While driving on interstate east of louisville kentucky at 70mph on cruise control engine stopped and vehicle coasted to shoulderof road this occurred at 4:30am june 13 when engine stopped smoke and diesel smell was apparent before vehicle coasted off road after vehicle stopped i opened engine compartment and diesel was all over engine compartment as well as on ground under vehicle i had vehicle towedand repaired with diesel in area of engine and catholitic converteri was concerned if fir hazard. I attempted to discuss matter with mercedes customer service was promised a return call which had not occurred i believe this type of failure is a dangerous fire hazard
