I was provided a notice of an airbag recall over two years ago on a three year old vehicle. The dealers says they have been waiting for parts. I have called mercedes national and they said there is nothing i can do. It appears nothing is happening and no one has a solution yet i drive a vehicle everyday all day that could explode on me and send metal fragments into my face and neck. This is stressfull and i have send a letter to my family members to document this and sue all involved if i end up passing away over this while waiting in limbo. The press and government need to get involved as this is a national issue that is being ignored and many lives are at stake.

Vehicle was driven about 5 miles, parked and not running, about 2.5hrs later fire started on the left rear side / undercarriage.fuel tank caught fire.no prior running defects.starting point for the fire appears at or next to fuel tank on the left side with the first flames visible up the left rear wheel housing with the vehicle parked on a slight incline and this etched in an arc shape above the left rear wheel.inside vehicle no personal items or aftermarket modifications. Fire spotted approximately 3:15 - 3:17 eastern time, weather temps in mid 70s.this was a high top 12 passenger model 144" wheelbase with auxiliary air and heat options.no occupants and no injuries.

At night the headlight switch is not illuminated showing the position of the headlight switch. There is no way to see what is selected by the headlight switch except with a flashlight. The interior lights are not bright enough to illuminate the dash in the are of the headlight switch to know where it's set.this is strange because every other switch and indicator on the dash is back-illuminated except the headlight switch. The switch is a rotary switch with an outer ring that shows what is selected when the inner knob is at that position. The only part that is illuminated is the line on the inner knob. The selection points around the knob are not illuminated. Every other item on the dash is illuminated from behind except those around the outside of the headlight switch.this is a concern because at night you can't see what the headlight switch is set to and it takes your concentration off the road and driving as you try to figure out where your headlight switch is set.

This vehicle, plus numerous other mb models, are the subject of an emissions lawsuit. There is a remedy available to rectify the issue and to qualify the respective owners to some significant compensation. I discovered this by accident on-line. I have not been contacted by mb and there is no recall from nhtsa. My question is why isn't there a nhtsa recall? for more details, access the havens bergman website. They are the lead attorneys pursuing the case.regards,[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Car has been driving normally for several min at highway speeds. While stopped at stoplight or while driving slowly through a parking lot the vehicle will stall and shut off. The vehicle does restart when turned to off position and restarted. No check engine lights illuminate afterward and vehicle drives normally after restarting. Has occurred approx 10x over past few months. Concerning because now it is occurring while the vehicle is in motion and results in loss of power, power steering and its unsafe.car is new and still covered under warranty. No recalls listed for vehicle. This engine is new for this model year. No previous significant repairs or accidents.

The day i purchased the van while still at the dealer a warning chime came on and no one could figure out what is wrong then it finally went away by itself. That happened several times since i purchased it last august. I took it to two mercedes dealers but no use. I also experienced a drastic drop in fuel mileage it suddenly dropped from around 19 to 13.5 mpg at that time i noticed grinding noise all that was reported to the dealer. On 2/27/2015 at 2:15 am a loud knock on the door woke us up the person was an undercover police officer that happened to be driving by told us to get out of the house because the van in the driveway was on fire. By the time the fire trucks arrivedthe whole van had burned and the house also caught fire.

Cyberbahn note - vin and model don't turn up results; ask for additional information.the contact owns a 2014 mercedes-benz sprinter 2500. While driving at 40 mph in rainy weather, water leaked through the roof air vent into the rear of the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated prior to the failure. Event data recorder missing from sprinters. I was involved in a high speed crash. I won't go into details at this time pending the investigations. But i learned that there is no "edr" event data recorders on the sprinters. When i learned of these and what they do in the event of a crash i was disappointed that mercedes elected to not install one on these vehicles. For me personally it would have been valuable information to know what when on in the seconds prior to the crash. Not sure this will come to anything but i personally believe that all vehicles should have these items. They assist helping both the person involved in the crash by letting them know what if anything they did to avoid the crash as well as helping the police establish what happened in the crash.

Air condition on top the roof leak, every time is rain leaks on the passengers.
