Takata recall: i was informed over a year ago of my vehicle being in this active recalland nothing has been done to date by the dealership or manufacture

While traveling on the interstate my ml 350 mercedes benz was struck by another vehicle. I was traveling the speed limit of 70 miles per hour when a car passing me lost control of his vehicle and struck me. The impact was on the drivers side of the car on the rear wheel. The impact pushed my suv to the right. Upon impact, the rear wheel on the passenger side broke, snapped in half and the flew away causing my ml350 to roll five or six times before coming to rest just inches from on coming traffic traveling east bound on the other side of the median. The officer investigating the accident said his major concern was that upon impact the rear wheel on the passenger side snapped causing the car to roll five or six times. I contacted mercedes benz and requested they investigate the crash. I sent information about the accident to mercedes to review in addition to the current location of the vehicle and several images of the ml350. I received a response by phone from mercedes benz in which the mercedes representativeagreed with the officer that the wheel breaking upon impact was the reason the vehicle rolled over. I requested the information in writing; however, i was informed that mercedes benz does not share findings from such investigations they consider to be internal information. The vehicle was totaled but the good news was that there was no loss of life.

Warning sign comes up : blind spot assist inoperative . When the warning sign comes up the right and left blind spots in the mirror remain light up and also i am not able to signal to change lines . These happened already 3 times over past 3 months and lasts for hours while on the highway. I try to stop at the side of the highway , turn the car off and on still won't work for some time . I have taken videos of these happening .

I keep experiencing the "pre-safe limited" warning. The car break starts fading, and the check engine light remained on the working conditions. This situation is so unsafe because the car becomes heavy and the steering turns hard to maneuver.

In may 2017, while driving, check engine light came on.acceleration was extremely reduced in a very dangerous way.took vehicle to dealer.dealer diagnosed problem as an oil leak that has been leaking on the wiring harness, which caused wiring/electrical system for entire vehicle to completely fail.estimated repair is $13,500.the vehicle has 34k miles, and the original factory warranty expired in late february 2017. Had routine oil change at dealer in february, no oil leak detected.dealer service tech was very familiar with this issue and has seen ten or so of them.unprotected wiring harness seems to be a manufacturing defect.several months prior to warranty expiration, reported small electrical problems to mb dealer, but dealer was unable to replicate/determine cause.all scheduled maintenance completed at mb dealer per mb schedule.contacted mbusa to request a goodwill repair credit given the nature of the repair, the history of the vehicle, history with mb, etc. And since this defect likely predated warranty expiration.mbusa customer care center was indifferent.parts alone are $8,000.mbusa offered to contribute only 10%.

Vehicle has 129,000 miles.when trying to acceleratefrom a stop, mostly noticeable whenfuel is lower in the tankand/or on an incline, rpm drops to zero, no amount of pressure on gas pedal does anything until the engine speed picks up, usually with a jerk forward.makes going onto a busy street very unsafe.have read it may be software related.

Going north on i-95 in mass at 65 mph in a driving rain the car suddenly lost ability to accelerate. The rpm and speedometer both went to 0, and the nothing happened when pressing the accelerator. All other systems (including brake, lights, radio, wipers, etc) appeared to work fine. Was able to get to shoulder, put car in park, and restart car. Everything was fine afterwards, but obviously a dangerous condition if it happens again. Will take to dealer for investigation.

Steering column module needs to be repaired. 400,000-500,000 recall already in uk, 2017 recalled-it affects 2013 models also just like the uk recall.car will not shift into park or reverse

While at highway speeds vehicle braked unexpectedly due to what seems to be a malfunction in the front collision warning radar. This resulted in a multiple near miss collisions coming from the rear, for many vehicles on i5 near woodburn or during high traffic times. The vehicle suddenly braked causing me to swerve off the road. Other vehicles includes two immediately following, there was a vehicle 6-8 car lengths ahead traveling at the same rate of speed with no braking, both sides were clear of traffic, no damage done seeking dealer assistance to decipher exact cause. Vehicle continues to have all safety features automatically turned off from computer. Vehicle was traveling straight with no braking needed nor wanted.

The contact owns a 2013 mercedes-benz ml350. While the vehicle was stationary and while driving various speeds, the oil cooler failed. The contact stated that a significant amount of oil leaked onto the engine during a routine oil change. Sullivan-parkhill imports (401 west marketview drive, champaign, illinois 61822, (217) 352-4161) diagnosed that the cooler gasket was faulty and needed to be replaced. In addition, the dealer stated that the engine needed be to cleaned due to significant amounts of oil leaking onto the motor of the diesel engine. The vehicle was taken to be repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000. Consumer oil seal leak -blows oil over all over engine.

I was driving on the highway at 70 mph, the check engine came on and about 5 seconds later, a loud noise came probably from the engine. The car then started jolting back and forth; i hit my head on the steering wheel twice and got almost knocked out. The engine stopped while i was still running at 70 mph. Most if not all the lights in my dashboard came on then i started slowing down. The seat belt never tightened on me as the car was jolting. I kept the car rolling and got out of a very dangerous situation. As the car came to a halt, a lot of engine oil leaked on the street, maybe about aquart. I took a picture as i just got out of the car. Also, as the towing took the car, the towing bed got over a quart of engine oil that leaked from my car.i towed the car to mercedez benz of novi but they refused to take it. They ordered me to towed it out and tow it back to them two weeks later. I towed it to mercedes benz of bloomfield on september 6. I notified mbusa of this incident on september 7 and provided them access to check the car but they showed no interest whatsoever in looking at the complaint as the vehicle has 92,273 miles and is out of warranty. They instead offered me a $2,000 discount on a purchase of another vehicle. Neither the dealership nor mbusa verified the car for safety related issues on the engine or seat belt though it was and still is parked at the mb dealership of bloomfield.i could have easily went unconscious from the jolting and hitting my head on the steering wheel. I think there is a major safety issue that requires at a minimum for the manufacturer to look at let alone issue a recall for safety reasons on the engine and the seat belt.

The left and right turn signal failed while driving on highway. It was a pre-owned car which i purchased from myrtle beach automotive on july 28, 2018. However, the left and right signal malfunction occurred next day july 29, 30, 31 and aug 1 when i was driving on highways. On aug 2, the car was inspected and software upgraded at the dealer and was driven home this same day. Aug 3, the carran well and the following two days it was parked in lot. Aug 6. The left and right signal malfunction appeared again. I am now contacting the dealer again for a solution. It is really a dangerous and disturbing safety issue.

Seat belt was locked in position (unable to extend) on a least six occasion in the past two years. The dealer was unable to duplicate the locked seat belt issue. They suggested, i drive directly to the dealership next time this occurs. Until now the issue has not occurred at a time the dealership was available.

I was driving my mercedes in atlanta, georgia and had only minutes gotten off of an extremely busy 400. Within a few minutes of exiting my power steering completely went out. I was 80 miles from homeand hada car full of young women. I shutter to think what could've happened barely 10 minutes sooner. The car was towed to rbm of atlanta where i was given an almost $6000 estimate. The car only had 27,000 miles on it. I bought it with approximately 18,000 miles on it . As i began researching and price shopping i was informed by several mechanics that this particular power steering equipment had been faulty for years. Unfortunately i didn't buy it as a precertified vehicle so there was no warranty. I was really astonished that a car with such low mileage would have such major problems. The part numbers have been changed several times and each mechanic expressed concern that there had not been a recall. Rbm and mercedes adjusted the price to get it to almost 4,000 which is still unacceptable for the consumer to pay when clearly the equipment was faulty. I also tried to address the fact of getting the same equipment put back in the car. I fear for my safety as well as other unknowing individuals. I hope a life doesn't have to be lost for mercedes to step up and take responsibility for an inferior part. Thanks for your time and consideration with this matter.

I brought my mercedes to an independant mercedes specialist for a lubrication service.they noticed a bolt broken from the steering gear. They gave me the informationcontained in mercedes campaign no. 2019080019 and told me i should contact my local mercedes new car dealer for warranty repairs.why isn"t this a recall?

Steering column module needs to be repaired. 400,000-500,000 recall already in uk, 2017 recalled-it affects 2013 models also just like the uk recall.car will not shift into park or reverse

Moldy smell in the car. I tried to talk to mercedes, and they say they would fix moldy smell on air conditioner for fee- it's 70000$ vehicle, i tried that already and smell came back. So there is something more then air conditioner. Please help!this is going on from 2014 while car was under warranty!

My car trabsfert converter is leaking. I have to fill it up periodically. The car stopped on hgw 9a after a continous noises underneath.the repair cost is estimated to $6000. I complain about this equipment since it is unsafe for the driver.

Driving on the highway 3o3 surprise az 85388time to 2:15 pm april 1, 2020the sunroofon my 2013 mercedes benz ml 350 sunroof blow up like somebody shot a gungood thing i had the lid closed and the glass didn't fell on my face otherwise it would've been a disaster

The car has a trasnfer converter box is deeply leaking. I have stop several times in manhattan street to cool down before moving. The car is not safe with this faulty equipemnt. The noise underneath is terrible and annoying.

After pulling out of my driveway and drive less than 1000 ft the car filled with smoke turned in flames and fire and then burnt to the ground.mbz did an inspection and informed me there was no fault with the vehicle.they refuted and denied everything i told them and stated they had no evidence of anything i described.they refused to tell me how the fire started.they would show me the report, the fuse boxes appeared to be melted yet they said they were intact and did not cause the fire. So it must have been and act of god?the would not pay any medical bills nor replace the vehicle.it was on a city street, fire and police came

2013 mercedes benz ml350: during the first occurrence, upon acceleration from a stop point, the vehicle hesitated lurching to then gain speed as intended by the driver. Second and third occurrences were identical and occurred while leaving the house with no traffic anywhere on sight. Vehicle was sent for repairs and dealership said a software update should have fixed the problem. On 10/15/13, while trying to reenter an expressway from the emergency lane, the car hesitated while trying to accelerate from an incoming vehicle. The vehicle lurched consecutive during three occasions in a matter of seconds then finally gained speed thus avoiding a collision. Should the incoming car have been driving just a bit faster, 4 passengers including a baby would have been rear ended by a vehicle traveling at expressway speeds.

The cruise control lever is located on the left hand side of the steering column, just below the lever for the turn signal mechanism.i accidentally pulled on the cruise lever instead of the turn signal causing the vehicle to unexpectedly speed up.this is such an obvious design flaw, it is only a matter of time until someone has an accident.

On 1/11/14 at approximately 5:45 p.m. Amidst a very heavy downpour with the wipers in use, i was traveling eastward on i-95 at about 60 mph approaching new haven, with my wife and son as passengers, when i heard a loud noise and immediately saw that my wipers had interlocked and stopped functioning, leaving me with almost no visibility. I slowed down, put on flashers, and was able safely to reach the next exit and come to a stop on a local street. The passenger side wiper mechanism had come apart. I disengaged the blade so that the driver side wiper was able to function. I took the car this morning (1/14) to the mercedes dealer in white plains, ny. The service rep upon seeing the disengaged arm said he's seen it happen before, and he immediately concluded that the "screws" had come loose due to use of the wipers during the recent severe cold weather/snow without scraping the windshield before use, and that the loosening of the screws was "better" than burning out a $700 wiper motor. I do not agree with that statement in light of the serious risk of an accident when suddenly and without any warning i had almost no visibility at night in a heavy downpour doing 60 mph on an interstate highway.

I was driving down the road in a heavy rainstorm and the passenger side main wiper arm detached from the mechanism and went under the driver side wiper. It is no longer controlled by the wiper motor.

I picked up the car that evening and the wipers are fully functioning again.

Two bent wheels on right side of vehicle. It is unknown when the damage may have occurred or if the wheels were in fact incorrect when installed on the vehicle during manufacture. Inspection by the mercedes-benz dealer on may 30 thought i hit a large pothole in road. I have no knowledge of hitting a pothole. I have driven over the normal less than perfect "rough " highway roads in the us only; no off-road. I believe the wheels are defective. Either poor metallurgical specifications by mercedes-benz, a substandard manufacture of the correct specifications or a fragile design and construction for normal road use. This vehicle is a suv which implies a more heavy-duty construction compared to a "car". Mercedes-benz company videos illustrate trailer-hauling and off-road usage.
