The contact owns a 2016 mercedes-benz metris. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the air bags warning light illuminated. The contact was concerned about the safety of driving the vehicle with inoperable air bags. The vehicle was taken to mercedes-benz of anaheim located at 5395 e la palma ave anaheim, ca 92807, however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,516.

Engine on and vehicle parked for 10 minutes with parking brake applied. Leaving from a parked position with engine running, parking brake released, i shifted from park into drive but the vehicle showed i was still in park. Could hear transmission shifting from p to d and to r but no information feedback. Eventually i found that i could engage in reverse, neutral, park, and drive but only park was showing on display. I tried restarting the van but it didn't change. Received errors for turning car off while in drive even though i was in park. I ended up driving with the car in "park" for about 100 miles to my destination. During the drive, there were lots of errors mainly the speedometer would not work ( had power but only said 0 mph). The tachometer remained at ~800rpm regardless of actual rpm. The gas gauge wouldn't work. Numerous errors occurred with the active braking system (alarm only). The srs defective indicator remained on the entire drive. When i reached my destination (gas station), shifted to park. I turned the car off again and completely disconnected everything electrical and let the van sit for ~5 minutes. The errors cleared when i restarted and the speedometer/tachometer/gas/srs all worked but i had a new check engine light activated. The only message was still related to srs but the cel stayed on even after acknowledging the service message. After about ~200 miles and 3-4 restarts the cel cleared and everything worked properly for the remainder of our trip (about 1000 miles round trip). Later, i was able to recreate a similar system malfunction when applying the parking brake. I've since been able to conjur random errors all related with safety systems and the park/drive/reverse scenario 50% of the time after applying and releasing the parking brake. The errors only happen after activation and release of the parking brake (so far to this day).

The rearview camera froze while i was backing up. By "froze" i meant the picture became static while the van was moving back. This is very dangerous because it will mislead the driver on what's or what's not on the path of moving direction. The issue persist when i moved the car back and forth. It went away after parking the van in garage for a few hours. I am very concerned that it may happen again and may cause serious accidence.

Battery caught fire and melted down. Vehicle was driven for about 2.5-3hrs on 12/26 and then parked for 2 hrs, when i went to start vehicle it was totally dead, all electronics black and car would not turn over, i then notices a small amount of smoke coming from passenger seat where battery is stored. I exited the vehicle thinking it was just a small short and would have it towed. I then noticed smoke billowing out of vehicle so called 911 and fire dept came out, battery was literally melting, the firemen were able to discconect battery and stop the meltdown preventing the car from going up in flames, i can only imagine what would have happened while driving.

I have a 2016 metris passenger van with 14000 miles that the mechanical/analog speedometer shows incorrect speed sometimes.it only happens after the van has been traveling with speeds over 60 mph +i notice the speedometer showing about a 20 mph slower speed, then over a few min. The speed slowly keeps dropping until 0 mph. The total time to 0 mph is about 15 min. After coming to a complete stop the speedometer functions properly. Only the mechanical speedometer is affected, the digital displays correct speed.this has happened 10 times that i know of.

Mercedes claimes that the metris is able to tow 5000lbs. We bought the vehicle new with the tow package factory installed. Mercedes never disclosed the fact that it's wiring harness included in the package does not operate electric trailer brakes and that no factory or third party option is available. We almost had an accident due to our inability to stop quickly enough. Thats how we found out that the factory installed trailer wiring harness does not operate electric brakes. Mercedes should have warned us about this issue. The factory trailer wiring harness includes a 7 wire connector, but is only wired for 6. It controls brake lights, turn signals, running lights but not electric brakes. I filed a complaint with mercedes corporate and stated how this is a safety issue. Customersmay wrongly assume that their electrictrailer brakes are being activated when applying the vehicles brakes. Without trailer brakes, most tow payloads are limited to 2500lbs. 5000lbs is way beyond the safe limit. Mercedes stated that there is no way for the metris to activate electric brakes. I believe that mercedes needs to warn customers of this specific design flaw. Most light duty trailers and campers in the usa use electric brakes.our almost accident happened on the i35 south of waco tx. We were at highway speed when the traffic came to a sudden stop. Luckily we had a large enough distance between us and the cars stopping ahead. We had a car at the last moment swerve into our lane and stop. Now we were trying to come to an emergency stop. We had to depart our laneto keep from rear ending the car. We later found out that our trailer brake we not being activated and that was the cause of our increased stopping distance.

Two failures of wheel speed sensors. Right front was first and just caused the computer to shut down anti lock breaking system. Most recent was left rear and caused transimission to go into ā€œlimpā€¯

Gasoline smell noticed in and around vehicle after 5 minutes while idling cold. After driving approximately 10 minutes gasoline smell increased inside vehicle to the extent that vehicle had to be stopped, windows rolled down and fumes dissipated. Repeated twice while returning to original start point. Noticed gasoline smell on several occasions prior but very faint. Seems to be cold temperature related. Day of severe incident was extreme cold. Issue is severe enough i'm apprehensive to drive the vehicle.

Car has repeatedly, but not always, had a strong fuel smell in cabin when starting with engine cold in sub 45f weather. Fuel smell is strong enough that windows need to be opened for smell to clear. Issue is not present when starting the vehicle warm or after vehicle warms up. Vehicle was repaired for same issue in may 2017 (invoice attached).

Van stalled while backing into street. Threw code p0627. Second time this has happened. First time did not include stalling and code cleared after a couple days. Reporting due to stalling while moving in road.

Fuel fumes inside cab when idling or very slow moving traffics

****note - need more information, contacted consumer 5/21/2018. ****has anyone had that gas smell from the metris front driver exterior?i've had it happen at least 1-2 times a month the last five months. Usually if it sits over night or it's been cold. I heard it was a rubber valve component on a fuel system. Called the dealer they said they can't do anything unless they actually observed it. Worries me though because it's a fire and health hazard when the metris sits in an enclosed space garage over night. The gas vapors are very dangerous for breathing and ignition.

Major fuel leak from fuel hose feeding the high pressure fuel pump. We had it towed to a mercedes dealership to have it repaired. They reported that the c-class model sedans are experiencing the same issue. The mb metris has a c-class engine and the same components.the dealership is just replacing the hose for the fix but really has no explanation of why it is happening. The part is on backorder from germany due to so many experiencing this issue. I now am finding out that this has been a known issue but is being kept quiet. I have also seen many complaints on the mb metris forums about the same fuel leak issue.we noticed the problem when we started our car to let it warm up in the morning. The vehicle was stationary and the transmission was in the parked position. I came back outside and noticed a strong fuel smell. I looked under the car and noticed the fuel leak. The outside temperature was 26 degrees f at the time.

Vehicle not running, sat outside overnight in my driveway, temperatures in the 30sf, strong smell ofgasoline around the vehiclehappened more than once.the date and mileage are approximations. I can't remember the precise dates. It was this past winter. It was only after reading of others with the same problem that i decided to file a report

Strong gas smell in the mornings after it sits overnight in my garage, especially on cold nights. It gets triggered when we open a door and the air starts circulating (before car is turned on). It started last winter and is happening still. I'm getting a little light-headed some mornings, especially when i can't open the windows (like when it's raining)

The vehicle has a strong smell of gas. I took it for a service at mercedes benz and they said there was fuel leaking. I still have no update on my vehicle after a week of leaving my car at their shop. No one has called me to follow up on my car.

I had the 2016 fuel line recall repaired in coconut fl by the mercedes dealer - however i can still smell gas fuel fumes when standing outside the stationary drivers door.it smells just like it did before the recall repair.please tell me what to do to remedy this important safety issue.this has continued for over a month following the recall repair.it is now june 2019it scares me to drive it.please call and tell me what to do.the car is currently located in greeenville, sc - my summer home and is closest to the dealer i purchased it from in charlotte nc. My phone is [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Mercedes metris van fuel smell while vehicle was at idle warming up for winter driving. Gas was seeping from "porous gas line" was what i was told from dealership and that this only happened to two other vehicles in america. Unfortunately, our company bought multiple vehicles and we have three with the exact same problem. Mercedes does not have parts readily available in the states and the fuel line has to be manufactured in germany. Plan on being without your vehicle for an extended period of time. There are multiple forums on the web illustrating this problem. If you smell gas outside your metris i suggest taking it in right away.

There is a mild to strong odor of raw gasoline when i start the car inthe morning. It seams stronger when the temperature is cold .i have done a cursory search and have found this complaint from other metris owners as well as other mb models

Strong gas smell inside vehicle and gas leaks out on ground. Risk of fireit seems to happen most when warming it up or after parking it.

Raw fuel smell, leaking

I can smell a strong odor of fuel almost every morning after being parked coming from the driver side hood region. More noticeable on cooler mornings. Very unpleasant to be working nearby while preparing for work. Smell is also noted in cabin prior to starting the engine.i have brought vehicle to the dealership about 5 times for this problem leaving it for a few days at time but they have not been able to detect or solve this constant and hazardous health and safety issue. I otherwise love the vehicle but this is something that should be identified and solved. This has been a problem for over 1 year .

I purchased this vehicle for my wife as we have five small children. A year after purchase, a strong and horrendous gas smell inside the cabin and outside the vehicle began each time upon start up in the cold weather. The gas smell/fumes last beyond 10 minutes inside making it unsafe to transport our minor children. Upon research, i have found multiple websites and forums discussing the frequency of this specific issue with themake, model and year our metris. I am extremelyconcerned about the safety of this vehicle.

Strong gas smell when driving and sitting still. This is a safety issue. The smell started when the weather change to 47-50 degrees. Its a constant strong gasoline smell.

Fuel smell around front engine and under vehicle when stopped after driving vehicle, especially in cool weather. Can persist for several hours after vehicle is stopped and turned off. Fire safety hazard.

The contact owns a 2016 mercedes-benz metris. The contact noticed a strong fuel odor inside and outside the vehicle during cooler weather. After the contact drove the vehicle for awhile, the odor went away. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 30,000.

There is a fuel leak in the engine compartment. Mercedes replaced the high pressure fuel pump under warranty, but it's leaking somewhere else and it's no longer under warranty. It's an emissions issue(raw fuel leak) and a fire hazard. Checking the internet it seems this is very common problem w/o a common cure.

Fuel smell from the engine area and near and around the driver's side, outside the vehicle, when the vehicle is stopped and turned off after driving in colder/cooler temperatures. The smell lingers after the engine is off.

Smell of gasoline leak several times now in the morning before starting up the vehicle after being parked overnight. Very concerned about a fire. No one seems to know what is going on because it does not happen all the time.

There is a strong gas smell inside and outside the van when first started in the mornings.the smell is to the point that you have to drive the first few miles with the windows down.i took the van to hendrick motors in charlotte, nc where it was purchased new to have it checked at 40,250 miles.they offered to fix the problem for $603 and i feel this is a design flaw that should be fixed at no charge.the estimate they gave me states, "replace long rubber fuel feed line and clamps to high pressure fuel pump (rubber fuel feed line to high pressure fuel pump porous causing concern)

Smell of gas on the interior of car.seems to happen when temperature is cold outside.it has happened more than once.

The vehicle has a strong smell of gas. I took it for the service at mercedes benz in oxnard and they said there was fuel leaking. I still have no update on my vehicle after a week of leaving my car at their shot. No one has called me to updated was goingon to my car. I need my car fix. Please help me.

There is a strong gasoline odor under hood after vehicle is operated in cold weather (under ~45f).i cannot reproduce the problem in my city due to weather being too warm.

Ruptured fuel line causing fuel smell in cabin. Smell was most apparent after vehicle had been sitting and at slow speeds.

Beeping belt sign on for passage side - when beeping, seat belt doesn't hold.(not catching beltjust slipping out)

Driver seatbelt fails to retract and passenger will not retract

On 9/13/18 while driving us95 in nevada , the power steering assist failed while crossing center line rumble strips to pass. There was a warning tone and an error message appeared on instrument cluster. There was no power assist. This was in the middle of the desert, so i continued driving. After stopping for a bathroom break, the steering worked again when i started the van. Minutes later, it failed again. I continued to a gas station. After restarting the van, the steering assist worked again until i got home. I took it to mercedes. The entire steering rack, electric motor, and control module were replaced.on 9/19/2019 on the same stretch of us95 in nevada, while crossing the center line rumble strips to pass, the power assist failed again. I pulled over, removed the key, closed the doors. 5 minutes later, i restarted and the steering was fine.on 8/9/2020 on i80 approx 30 miles west of salt lake city, in a construction zone, lanes were shifted to the left and then right. While moving left across uneven concrete, the power steering assist failed again (warning tone + error message). I pulled over at the next off ramp, turned off the van, removed the keys and waited 5 minutes. After restarting, the power steering assist worked again. I described my problem at https://www.metrisforum.com/threads/power-steering-malfunction-message.9827/ (i am user tree95). User exvanagon describes the same issue crossing an expansion joint. User [email protected] describes the same thing on rumble strips. User vanz created a new thread: https://www.metrisforum.com/threads/power-steering-malfunction.9538/ his occurred crossing a cattle grate. User doubledeuce has had the same failure.

Loss of power steering when driving over cattle grates on two separate occasions.first time loss of power steering at 55mph on a two lane highway and second time loss of power steering at 30mph when entering a freeway on-ramp.an error message displays on the screen 'power steering malfunction see owners manual'.on both occasions we pulled off to the side of the road and turned off the engine, removed the key from the ignition, and waited a couple of minutes.after waiting a couple minutes, we inserted the key and started the engine to find the power steering error message was gone and power steering was restored to a fully functional state.the first and second loss of power steering were separated by a few days and around 500 miles.

Mirrors are very narrow/poor, cant see in a cargo van, i almost killed someone or kill myself

The contact owns a 2016 mercedes-benz metris. Whether stationary or driving various speeds, the passenger side mirror was too wide and obstructed the contact's view of oncoming traffic. Mercedes-benz of fort myers in fort myers, florida referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue via a voicemail from the contact. The failure mileage was 30,000.

When i noticed my right rear tire was balled amount to the steal belts, i knew there was a problem. The car only had 20k on it. I went to put the spare on. When removing the tire, up on factory jack, and bolts removed. I noticed that as much as i jacked the car up the tire would not come all the way off the ground. When i finally got the tire free, the brake rotor shot down on the bottom of the rim, shot the car up in the air, and jack knocked over. It was like the spring came complete uncompressed and shot the car up. When it came down, my hand was wedge between the tire and car. I was able to get it out quickly, but i could not get the car jack up all the way to get the tire off. I have to get a road side service to come with a longer jack to put under the suspension, jack it up to compress the suspension. Then i got the tire off. This all happened in my garage with a level concrete floor. I read the manual several time to make sure i did the tire change correctly, and i did.the van only had 20k miles. I'm still confused how the tire end up like it did.i took it to my nearest mercedes dealership. They told me nothing was broken on the rear suspension. They couldn't explain the issue i had changing the tire, but they had seen the tire wear issue several times on these vans. They said the alignment was way out. I use this vehicle for my video production business. After this accident, i had the car weighted on a cat scale, loaded and unloaded. I haul around 1300 pounds of gear. Its rated for 1874 pound of cargo, and that with two rows of seats that weigh 150 pounds each that i have removed from the car.i put new tires on the car and had it aligned with all the weight i carry. It was fine for about a 1000 miles. I just don't feel safe. It feels like i've max the suspension out. I feel the suspension on this car it not right for the weight is says it can handle

Passenger mirror causes significant blind spot as it is not a convex mirror.this can lead to an accident due to not seeing a vehicle located on right side.

The side mirrors for the car are horrible. They have a horrible blind spot which i feel is really dangerous. When driving you barely have any visibility of vehicles on your side. Feels like its a set up for an accident to happen.

Side mirrors are too tall and too short! we almost got into accident for several times before but yesterday (7/17/17) was really close! i was changing to right lane when another car is so close i have to slam my brakes because my passenger mirror is so bad about visibility. Please help before we get hurt or worse. Thank you!

Engine temp drops 4 marks from regular operating temp. Come into town temp drops and heater blows cold air. Took to dealership they say everything is fine. It all checks out. Sent videos to them of what it is doing. Told to put a divider in but won't help if it cools drastically and blows cold air. Over a year this has been going on. Every time the weather turns cold. It's a safety hazard. A person could freeze to death. Vehicle in motion. City street.

If a vehicle is in the driver's blind spot, but the bsm system does not warn the driver, there would be an increased risk of a crash.

The cruise control lacks a separate on/off switch. When the cruise control stem is pull backward, the system is turned on/engaged, which is non standard for switches. When initially turned on, it activates at the speed of the vehicle. When the cruise control is turned off, then back on (without having turned off the engine) the vehicle will either accelerate or decelerate abruptly to the previously set speed.the cruise control stem is also located near the headlight dimmer switch on the left side of the steering column, which are both similar in size and feel. At night i exited an interstate highway in mt and had the cruise control set to 75 mph. I turned off/disengaged the cruise control as i exited the freeway. On a lighted street with a 30 mph speed limit, i realized my headlights were on bright so i used my left hand to dim the headlights, which dim by pulling the appropriate stem rearward. I mistakenly pulled the cruise control stem rearward, which immediately turn on/engaged to the cruise control and began to accelerate the van to 75 mph. I quickly turned the cruise control off, then dimmed the headlights. The incident was danger and distracting. Rapid deceleration occurs, with no brake lights, when the cruise control is set at 40 mph, turned off, then turned on/engaged at 70 mph.

Passenger side mirrors are flat (not convex) and leave a huge blind spot. Its a safety issue i triedto contact mercedes benz dealer to see if they got an replacement but had no luck.

Mirrors are very narrow/poor, cant see in a cargo van, i almost killed someone or kill myself

Both side view mirrors are flat, not curved or convex. Its a huge safety issue. Because of that, this car has huge dead zone next to the car. As i have a cargo van with no rear windows, no windows on the sides either its really super unsafe.

The side mirrors are not only very low and small but they are flat. This creates a huge blind spot particularly on the passenger side even with lane assist technology.i do not want to almost hit a car before being notified.i almost got into an accident on a highway with 4 kids in my care. This exact same van has been produced in europe with convex mirrors.in fact, mb is making these convex mirrors standard in the 2017 version, but seems to waiting until human casualty before recalling the 2016 mirrors for safe driving.

The side view mirrors are extremely small. They create a terrible blind spot which inhibits your ability to change lanes. In addition the mirrors appear to magnify objects which distorts your judgement of vehicle proximity. Both of these factors have caused near collisions multiple times! the mirrors only allow you to see a portion of the lane next to you. This is much worse when looking at the passenger side mirror compared to the drivers side. The website: metrisforum.comhas adequate commentary from other drivers experiencing the same problem.

The right side of the vehicle has a terrible blind spot.no matter how diligently you look in the passenger mirror and over your right shoulder there is an area that is blind to the driver. This is due to the passenger side mirror being too small and not convex. It is not written on the mirror " objects appear closer than they actually are".this is a serious design flaw, i am surprised that that this made it through all of the safety regulations. Luckily, i have not been an accident yet due to this problem. I have mounted additional blindspot mirrors to the existing mirrors but they are no substitute for a properly designed mirror. I purchased this car new from the dealership in august and have returned several times complaining about the mirror but to no avail. This is a serious safety issue especially at night because not only is it difficult to see in the mirror but the factory tinting on the windows is very dark and one must look carefully to see an oncoming car. In doing some online research i have found that i am not the only one. There are hundreds of entries on the metris forum site with new metric owners complaining about the side mirror visibility and looking for a solution. The fix is a simple one and i hope that mercedes will step up and actively take care of this issue.

The side mounted rear view mirrors are inadequate, leaving large blind spots. The passenger side mirror needs to be convex. My wife, who is used to driving a chevrolet van with a convex, passenger side, rear view mirror, almost hit a car that was unseen in the blind spot of the metris. She was driving on a multi lane road and was attempting to change lanes to the right when the near collision occurred.

The side mirrors on this vehicle are dangerous and two small, they almost got me into an accident while in motion on a city street with my wife and five (5) children.these side mirrors are non-convexed and offer little view of what's going on around the vehicle, leaving the driver to depend on the blind spot assist feature to change lanes or reverse for this critical visual information.

Takata recall very disappointed with vision from the exterior mirrors cant see anything out of them. I have the van a week nearly got in 5 accidents trying to get into my right lane i have never had this problem in any other car or van this problem needs fix before somebody get hurt and all my other vans were bigger then this van

First off, i have only had this car for approximately 1 week and spent considerable time driving in a large metropolitan area as well as on the interstate with the vehicle in this first week (1200 miles in total). I have adjusted the side mirrors as wide as they are capable of adjusting and still, an enormous blind spot remains for the driver that is both dangerous to myself and drivers around me. On two occasions this week, one (today) that was the worst yet, i was changing lanes and after checking the side mirrors and seeing absolutely nothing, i came extremely close to hitting a sedan that was driving in my blind spot. Fortunately, the other driver was paying attention and able to swerve away from my vehicle to avoid being hit. This particular vehicle is the cargo version with a bulkhead installed which renders the rearview mirror useless and no ability to look over your should out a rear window to check for vehicles. I have just ordered extra clip on mirrors from amazon to make the vehicle at least operational but in my opinion being forced to alter something such as side mirrors to make the vehicle reasonably safeto operate is unacceptable from any manufacturer, let alone mercedes-benz who claims such a high standard of safety on their vehicles. After doing a little more investigation, this is clearly a known issue experienced by a lot of people who operate this vehicle (i.e. Http://www.metrisforum.com/forum/385-appearance-body/1610-mirrors.html). Any quick internet search will reveal that this is a major concern and complaint of those who own the mercedes metris.

The passenger side mirror on this vehicle offers very little visibility and creates a huge blind spot. The mirror is flat offers a very narrow field of view. Because this is a cargo van with no window on the side door a convex mirror is necessary to offer a acceptable field of view for safe lane changing. I feel the lack of a convex mirror on the passenger side may lead to several side swipe accidents by owners of this vehicle. I have experienced several incidents of attempting to change lanesome to the right only to find that there is another vehicle in the massive blind spot. Upon researching the european version of this vehicle i discovered that they are equipped with a proper convex mirror. Failure to equip the american version of this vehicle with thesame mirror seams like a lack of regard for safety

I'm on my 3rd windshield in 3 years, never had this issue before and i've been driving for 35 years. Every windshield adds $1,000.00 to my yearly upkeep.

Side view mirror visibility is extremely poor creating enormous blind spots in a vehicle of this size and inherent limited visibility. Have had several close calls changing lanes due to inability to adequately see peripheral areas. Only a matter of time before these issues pile up, the vehicle should never have been delivered as is. The exact european counterpart is supplied with wide view mirrors but to save a few bucks the us version gets crippled visibility.

The passenger side mirror provides inadequate visibility to the side of the vehicle.the mirror does not appear to have any convex or image size altering properties to improve blind spot visibility as most vehicles do.

The side mirrors are flat instead of convex and this, combined with very high headrests, gives one extremely poor rear vision. I can not recall driving any vehicle made after the 1970's that has flat mirrors like this. Changing lanes, even with blind spot warning, is just guesswork and very dangerous. I have not felt so uncomfortable and unsure of what is next to me since i drove cars without any right side mirrors years and years ago. The same van in europe does have convex mirrors that are so much better than those used in us. Contacting manufacturer regarding this has proven useless. This is an issue in all situations but worse in urban driving or heavy traffic where knowing what is around one's vehicle is critically important. This is a terrible and dangerous oversight.

Side view mirrors are extremely hard to see other cars from.they are extremely dangerous and create massive blind spots.the 2017 mirrors were changed to minimize this problem, but the dealers will not recall 2016 mirrors.

The field of view in the side mirrors, especially the passenger side, is inadequate and dangerous. The mirrors need to be larger with a wider angle of view. There is a huge blind spot on the passenger side of the metris. I've read about owners sourcing wider angle convex mirrors from european versions of the metris and replacing the mirrors on 2016 metris vans.

The passenger side mirror is flat only giving a 5.6deg viewing angle.it is imposable to see.only had the vehicle for three week, have almost caused serval isuessmb not willing to help.

Side mirrors are too tall and too short! we almost got into accident for several times before but yesterday (7/17/17) was really close! i was changing to right lane when another car is so close i have to slam my brakes because my passenger mirror is so bad about visibility. Please help before we get hurt or worse. Thank you!

Ever since we got this vehicle we complained that the mirror is too small, which makes it extremely hard to make turns. I tried to search online, and right away found a metris forum with many many posts about this same issue. The posters were writing about contacting mercedes, and the dealers didnt even know about it, or the ones who did said that the 2017 models were indeed improved. I am now trying to get a replacement for my van, and the dealers are not helpful at all
