Priror to recall notification vehicle battery failed.however, dealer will not perform recall repairs because battery was replaced at an unauthorized dealer.

Consumer stated the vehicle has stalled on several occasions, the first time it happened the dealer found a fuel porblem and replaced the fuel system, the problem was corrected about 80 percent, however the stalling is still occuring and the dealer is unable to duplicate the problem.
Very hard to see at night when these headlights of xenon are coming toward you, they are very bright and distract for the vision.
New head lamp design, "xenon high intensity" is too bright, makes it very difficult to see at night when someone with this type of light is driving behind you.

Saw the plastic hood of a smart car fly off over its roof and nearly crash into the car behind him.found the reason why on the smart car of america forum from a dealer guy.service flap (hood) latch locking mechanismthe "l" locks thathold the "hood" closed.very common issue is that a carwash blower will blow these off the rotating pins and the hood will fly off. Mercedes glc 300.consumer writes in regards to accelerator pedal and brake pedal malfunction causes vehicle accident.the consumer stated she was in heavy traffic, going less than 5 mph and she fell a little behind when the accelerator pedal on her new vehicle automatically shifted gears. The brake did not engage(perhaps not enough time) and she crashed into the vehicle in front of her and caused a chain reaction. The consumer would like to know, if there is a history of gear change without pressing the accelerator pedal.

The consumer can't install a child car seat in the back seat of the car. Through a manufacturing defect, the consumer cannot attach an anchor tether to the car. The dealer told consumer that they have a clip but when the clip was ordered it could not be installed. The dealer said that the entire rear deck including welding had to be removed from the existing car parts. Consumer has filed a complaint stating that dealer couldn't repair the problem.
The contact owns a 2000 mercedes-benz ml-270 cdi (na). While driving approximately 30 mph, the front passenger side wheel seized and caused the vehicle to veer to the right. The vehicle was towed to prestige auto (logwood rd & peach tree st, freeport, bahamas) where it was diagnosed that the front brakes needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that nhtsa had no jurisdiction in the bahamas. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000. The vin was invalid.

The right rear continental tire on the vehicle experienced an unexpected blow out with the total mileage on the vehicle less than 2200 miles, the consumer lost control over the vehicle intermittently. *mjs
Consumer states that the da'lan hitch started to tear the body work from the vehicle only after 3-4 thousand miles of use, the trailer that is towed weighs 1600 pounds with a hitch weight of about 70 pounds, consumer has since had the hitch modified and has had no further problems.

Letter from senator mcconnell on behalf of constituent re application- import motor vehicle for show/ display (attn: matthew brotzge).the consumer wanted to import a special vehicle under the show and display rule that allowed us citizens to import unique vehicles into the united states. The vehicle was being built as a concept/show vehicle for the dubai international motor show in november. The vehicle is currently in production and has not been assigned a vin yet.
