Considering the amount of time that has passed, i believe the manufacturer has failed to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner.

Takata recallmercedes benz has not contact us with a solution/date

I bought a care from mercedes benz in 2015 in pompano beach, florida. On may 2016, i had received a letter from mercedes benz stating that there is a defect that has been detected with driver-side seat airbags. In august 2016, i had received another letter stating that the passenger 'side airbag inflator housing in my vehicle may rupture due to excessive internal pressure. Since i have received those letters, i have been really terrified to the idea that i and my kids are at risk if i have an accident. I had been involved in a deadly accident in 2012; i am alive today because the air bag was working properly. Since i have received that notice, i have to limit my driving. I have got to the point now that i am so scared that i am afraid of driving on any highways and expressways with the car. I have a tremendous level of anxiety and i am terrified by the idea that i am driving a car with an air bag defect. I called mercedes twice to seek for options that would if not resolve the issue but at the minimum alleviate my hardship, but they are not willing to do anything for me. They said that they are working on resolving the issue; i just have to continue to drive the car. I have offered them to;1-give me a loaner while they are working on solving the issue, and i will continue to make my regular monthly payments.2-give me a reasonable discount amount on another vehicle, so i can trade my vehicle for another one without that safety issue.they have refused to help me in any shape of forms. I am defenseless and hopeless. I know how powerful companies like mercedes benz are, that the reason i am turning to you in order to come to my rescue. I have to drive to work and take my kids to school every day. I can continue to drive a vehicle that is putting my like and two precious kids at risk. Please help me out.

"takata recall". Reference # 11140309. Current info on report incorrect. Please update with below. Recall number 16v363 and 16v081.i purchased my pre-owned glk350 on dec 24 2016. The dealer alm of duluth did not inform me of an open recall. I received a recall notification from mb dec 2017 stating parts would be available march 30, 2018. On march 2018, another notice stated it's delayed until june 30, 2018.as of today, still no notifications as to when the airbags will be replaced. This vehicle is a daily driver. Oct 2018, i went to mb of athens and asked about the takata recall. The service mgr said they were replacing airbags on 2009 c-class. Mb headquarters said this is incorrect and that mb vehicles do not require the replacement because no mb vehicles have been involved in a takata related incident. A wsbtv investigation reported from takata that high humidity increases the likelihood of premature ruptures. This glk350 was originally purchased in miami and resold in atlanta. My glk is a daily driver and this is unacceptable from mb!! mb is playing russian roulette with our lives.the only notice i want from nhtsa is a date when my airbags (driver & passenger) will be replaced.if nhtsa cannot 'fine' mb for their direct denial, then i'm filing a class action lawsuit !

Takata recalli called mercedes dealership near me. Baker motor company states they have no remedy and in the meanwhile i have an airbag light on my dash and driving around unsafe!!

Takata recallmercedes benz notified me of the recall for my airbags in may of 2016.since then i have received two more notifications postponing the replacement.on february 2, 2017, i spoke with teresa at mercedes (1-800-367-6372 ext. 4601) and was told that my vehicle was in phase 1 of the recall.the december 2017 letter stated that my vehicle was in priority group 4.a letter in january 2018 stated the my vehicle was in group 5.i believe that the recall of the takata airbags inmy vehicle is not being handled properly and that my vehicle has not been categorized properly.i feel that my safety has been placed at risk far too long.why has the priority group changed and the replacement of my bags delayed? is the problem with mercedesbenz corporation or with the nhtsa?

Takata recall.i have yet to receive information telling me how to resolve this issue.as it stands today, the previous search indicates that the problem remains unsolved.one of the most important safety features of my car isn't working and the company that is responsible for correcting this issue seems to be unmotivated.someone needs to motivate them before more people are injured or die due to their negligence.

"takata recall" mbusa says that they are waiting for nhtsa to tell them when the new airbags will be available in my area (california).they blame the nhtsa for the delay---read the faq on their website.i am complaining that why the nhtsa is not taking this matter serious enough and why they do not tell mbusa to change my airbags.why telling us this safety matter whennhtsa is not fast enough to fix the problem.i am literally driving a time bomb not knowing when it will explode.mbusa is not willing to provide me with a loaner while you are making a decision.this is the most ridicules thing i have ever heard of, that a safety recall is been called but nhtsa is not taking it serious enough. As a tax payer i demand an answer and a replacement very soon.

"takata recall"recall letter says not necessary to do anything until receiving second letter.two days after receiving letter-airbag warning lights came on.have not received second letter.spoke with dealership, they say that they can't guarantee that bags wont go off by themselves and that they cant do anything until they receive parts.i am now hearing that bags can explode unexpectedly throwing metal fragments into your face and head and cause death.mercedes needs to do something about this asap, this is a family vehicle.

Takata recalli received a notice of "a safety recall that requires your immediate attention" notice in feb, 2016.i have been to all the websites, had my car into mercedes service for other items several times, and called all the mercedes 'recall info' phone numbers, and have asked for my replacement through all these channels.i still do not have the replacement, or even a date of when this 'safety recall' situation will be remedied.i am blessed that we have had no specific incident with the inflator malfunctioning and hurting anyone in my family.however, i am not happy that something could potentially happen, per mercedes and nhtsa notifications, but i am powerless to do anything about it short of parking the car.i can't afford to do that.

Takatarecall_ i initially received the recallin may, 2016 for the driver side air bag problem, then again, in august, 2016 adding a problem with the passenger side airbag. It has been over a year and plenty of time to repair the problems. As of today, 7.12.2017, no resolution has been made. Thisis a very dangerous problem and should have been fixed by now. I contacted mercedes on6.19.17, they stated that the problem is being worked on and that "no mercedes has had this problem occur", that is all well and good but i do not want to be the first. Once again, since thisis a deadly problem it should have been resolved.thanks[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Takata recall has still not came up with a solution to fix the airbags which i feel is a hazard while driving. This is my only means of transportato and i don't feel my family and i are safe in this vehicle. After traveling to a doctors appointment, when put the key in the posution to crank vehicle the steering wheel would no longer let fown. Steering wheel is now stuck in the up position. Can't lower the steering column. Which makes it now difficult the stir. Electric control lever will not work. Brake lights, signal lights lamps continually burns out bulbs while in motion , stationary actually at anyime.

Takata recall.why is it taking so long to fix this recall?i am very concerned about my family's safety.

Takata recall:nhtsa recall # 16v-081 the manufacturer, mercedes-benz, is unable to remedy the safety recall for my car. It has been over a year since i received the first recall notice for the driver-side airbags and nothing has been done. I contacted mercedes-benz several times. They do not have the parts to repair the air bags yet they have the time, resources and technologies to develop and produce new cars. Knowing that i am driving a car with defective air bags that could injure or kill is causing me a lot of stress and anxiety. I bought this car several year ago with the idea that my son would drive it. This car is unsafe and deadly. The deployment of the airbag can result in metal fragments striking the driver or passengers. It is unacceptable that, almost 2 years after the takata recall, nothing has been done by mercedes-benz and that i am left with a car that is hazardous.

Takata recalli've had this recall on the car ever since i've purchased it and i don't have a piece of mind driving or having my passenger ride in my car with me. There seems to not be a solution to get this fixed at the dealership. This is a very dangerous recall and i need to know what i can do to expedite the process.

Takata recallboth front airbags in this car have been recalled and it appears to me that mercedes-benz is not seriously interested in fixing the problem. I have heard nothing from them about the driver airbag recall in 18 months even though they promise to fix it by september 2018.i often drive to florida staying there for a week or so. I am concerned about the safety of the vehicle because of the humid environment there. Takata recall. I received the recall letter and about the chapter 11 bankruptcy filed for takata. I called 2 mercedes dealerships and they have no idea when the parts will be available to fix the takata airbags that have been recalled. They have no estimated timeline for when they expect the parts to be available. Are we supposed to drive the car indefinitely until the parts become available to fix the airbags?

Takata recallit has now been almost 3 years with no solution and this car is in hawaii ,which is supposed to be zone 1 priority

Dealership advised, at this time there is no parts available or information from mercedes to fix this. I have tried for months to call to set up getting this resolved, and no one has a time or date of when this can be fixed. This has become a safety issue, and i need a resolution quick. Not the dealerships fault, as they are just following the information they have available to them

I have not gotten the free replacement airbags from any of the dealerships nearme. So far nothing has happened to the airbags as of now.i use my car very often and i do not want to become part of the statistics.i just want the airbags replaced.

According to the nhtsa and mbusa this car has two recalls on it due to airbags potentially killing ocupants in the vehicle. I knew about the first recall but not about the second recall on the vehicle until i got a letter from mbusa two weeks ago addressing the issue. When i look on nhtsa the recall dates back to may of 2016 but mbusa has notified me two weeks ago. Reading on the nhtsa website the manufacture has 60 days to produce a solution on a recall but it has been well past the 6 months for one recall, well past one year for the recall. Please help me in getting a solution from mbusa to resolve the issue, my life could be taken away at any minute.

My car shut down, without any warning, in the middle of the road on april 19th, 2013. At the time of shutdown, all the lights on the dashboard lit up (including the brake light). I took the car in to the dealer on the following monday having been told by an advisor that they could not work on a major issue as such on the weekend. Since they claimed that they could not duplicate or replicate the incident, they did not know why it happened; therefore, they could not fix anything. They also strongly believed that the car is in perfect condition, and it is safe to drive. Inaddition, they highly recommend me to take the car in when i run into a similar situation in the future. I was urged to bring my loaner back. Or, they would "start to charge" me. I was in contact with the mb headquarters in nj. The gentleman who was the case manager told me the same. The april 19 incident is not an isolated occurrence . The same incident happened to me on 2/28/12 when i was attempting to pull into a parking space. The car at the time was less than 6 months old, with about 3000 miles. Working on the advice of a service advisor from the dealer ("it was a fluke; it should never happen again), i did not take the car in. I wondered if any driver of the same model encountered any similar situations as i did.

The vehicle was not repaired. The contact continued to experience the failure and saw fuel leaking inside of the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 56,000.this issue seem to be wider than the initial recall sample.this is very dangerous.

Smells like gas, seems to be a small fuel leak

When i fill up my 2011 glk 350 with gas i have a very strong raw gas smell from the vehicle. It is so bad that i am afraid it will cause a fire inside my garage. It goes away as the fuel is run out of the vehicle. I check with mercedes and with my vin # it was not on a recall list however many other glk 350 were on a recall list for the same problem. It is recall 12v557000. I feel mercedes should cover all 2011 glk 350 for this issue as it is a definite safety issue with raw gas leaking. It was also in a bulletin sent to dealers about this issue. Nhtsa id 10059568. It is a leaking fuel filter flange. It is also a very dangerous problem!! the fix for it is replace the fuel filter flange and plastic pump also normally at a cost of $1200.00 at the dealer. Mercedes needs to recall all 2011-2012 glk 350 for this issue in my opinion.

Gasoline smell when fuel tank is full.i removed my rear seats and removed access panels to fuel filter/pumps...and discovered the passenger side access panel had gasoline on the unit and surrounding area.somehow, there is a gasoline leak coming from that passenger side unit.i did not take any photos since i did not want any active electronics near the gasoline and gasoline fumes.

I have two recalls for my vehicle and mercedes has made no effort to contact me regarding repairs since 2011.i have take my vehicle in for service mutliple times and the recalls has not been repaired.

Transmission jerking problemi've had my 2011 glk350 and just noticedthat the car jerks noticeably roughly and made a loudsy noise when in drive mode. It happens both at low and high rpms.

The contact owns a 2011 mercedes benz glk350. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, the brakes erroneously activated causing the vehicle speed to slow down. After stopping to inspect the vehicle smoke was present coming from both the driver and passenger side rear wheels. The vehicle was driven to the local dealer mercedes benz of sarasota located at 4754 clark rd, sarasota, fl 34233 who diagnosed that the abs module was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 148,603.

Parked on a 45 degree slope.placed the vehicle in neutral with the right foot on the brake pedal.set the emergency brake down as far as the pedal would travel.released the brake pedal with the emergency brake fully engaged.the vehicle started to roll down the incline.local mechanic confirmed the brake system to appear fine as far as the brake pads and rotor (pads at 40%).taking this to the local mb dealer to review.i have video if needed.

We have a mercedes benz glk350 2011. While neither of its brake warning (which includes warning for low brake fluid level)and "check brake pad wear" display messages is on, and there is no abnormal noise from the brakes, its brakes can still fail for a short time, while work most of the time. In two cases, while i was waiting at a red light, the brake failed and the car moved forward, then stopped before it hit the car in front of it. At first i thought maybe i didn't pressure the brake pedal hard enough. After an accident happened, i am sure it was the brake's problem.in one case, while i was backing the car down the not-too-deep driveway in my home in a sunny, dry day, the car kept moving even when i pressed the brake pedal. I was pretty sure i pressed the brake pedal because i was able to move the transmission from "r" to "p" position. Even when the transmission was in the "p" position and i pressed the brake pedal hard, the car still moved down the driveway just as if there were no brakes. I should emphasized i drove over one hundred of times on the same driveway, and when the brake worked,i could always stop the car on the driveway!to summarize, my mercedes benz glk350 2011's brakes can fail to work even when there is no warning message and no warning noise.

I was driving on the interstate, and i heard a very loud boom from my vehicle, followed by crackling sound. My sunroof shattered as well as the fixed piece between my windshield and moving pane of sunroof. The following day, i drove the vehicle to a local dealership and was told an object struck the vehicle and caused the damage to the vehicle. The first pane of glass had a 1 in diameter hole with a starburst pattern and the second pane had very little visible damage to it other than the hundreds of cracks in it. I am concerned about why the first pane of glass that is angled outward to the road is not made of safety glass or metal and was constructed of tempered glass. I was lucky that i had my blind closed and that the glass did not separate from the vehicle and strike any of the vehicles behind me. As i told the gentlemen at the dealership, if road debris hits my vehicle i should not have to replace a third of my roof. Rocks have hit my windshield and chipped it, but for a rock to hit my vehicle and cause such extensive damage is poor design or quality of manufacturing.

Last january my passenger side rear coil spring broke in half while parked in my garage. On tuesday february 28, 2017 the driver side rear coil spring broke in half while parked in my garage. In january 2016 i contacted the mercedes dealer where i purchased the car and asked if there was a problem or a recall. They stated no recall or problem with the coil springs has been reported. Having lost both rear coil springs on the same car i believe there is a problem with mercedes parts. The spring tore off the shock when it broke and the fluid leaked out, the car dropped to the ground. This could have been catastrophic if i had been driving. Twice.
