Zt motors, ft. Walton beach, fl, will not order the parts necessary to comply with this recall.they will not accept this vehicle on a trade for a new vehicle without the recall repair.so i am stuck with a vehicle that needs a recall repair unless i pay for the repair.this is a totally unacceptable situation.

Takata recall - received owner notification letter from mbzusa dated june 2016 r.e. Defective driver's side airbag being recalled (see "mbz letter"); letter stated that no "suitable replacement part is tested or available" but when it was, owners would be sent "2nd letter notifying you to bring your vehicle in" for repair - "bring" not "drive" - nowhere in the letter was there a word about the vehicle being safe to drive, nor was the word "drive" even mentioned. So officially i now have a car with a defect known to have caused at least 10 us deaths, but no remedy. Most concerning are the documents posted on nhtsa website for mercedes-benz, which show mbz notified nhtsa of vehicles w/ safety defect (i.e. Exploding takata airbags), including my vehicle, on 8 feb 2016 (see feb16 defect). Nhtsa acknowledged defect notice on 12 feb 2016 (see feb16 nhtsa ackn), & stated "it is required that owners be notified of a safety defect in their vehicles within 60 days of a manufacturer's notification to nhtsa of a safety defect in those vehicles." why wasn't i notified w/in 60 days? on mbzusa website/recall faqs, they state "any customers potentially affected will be mailed...in april" (see mbz2 apr vs jun). Cya, break the rules & no remedy in sight. Corporate vultures. Nhtsa needs to hammer them please. Also concerned about recent death of actor killed by jeep in a different safety recall without remedy. What is nhtsa doing about this??? owners are stuck w/ unsafe cars that can't be repaired! how is this possible?

Received recall letter for srs control unit. Made appointment on april 19 to remedy recall. Took vehicle in to mercedes dealer in bloomfield hills, mi, got ride back to work. Benz dealer called me and told me they didn't have the part to remedy recall and they didn't know which part they needed until after they began working on my vehicle. So, i had to get a ride back to the dealer and got my car back. They said they would call me in 5 weeks when the part came in. They never called me. On june 21 i called the dealer and they told me the part wasn't in and they were going to put the order in again. They said mercedes isn't making the parts fast enough. They refused to tell me which part number they needed (they said they had one of the parts but not both the parts needed for the remedy). I received the letter march 2016, made the appointment in april and now it's june and they are still telling me they don't have the part available.what is a consumer to do?

Takayuki recall. I have been notified by mercedes benz (mb) of this recall but it has not been fixed. Mb has sent me multiple dates for the recall fix but have always extended those dates. The last fix date was sept 2018 but their recall web site now states the fix date is sept 2019. This is 3 years past notification and i am unable to trade or sell this car due to it being under this recall. Other car manufacturers have corrected this problem and advised their customers not to drive their cars until they were fixed. I continue to have to rely on my car as i am now retired and have no other option. 3 years of driving a car that the sales manager for mercedes benz called a "death trap" is 3 years too long. Why have other car manufacturers completed their recall and not mb? do i have to die before i get this recall fixes? what is this agency going to do about this rediculous amount of time?

The contact owns a 2010 mercedes benz glk350. Upon shifting the vehicle into drive it lunged forward. He applied pressure to the brake pedal but the brakes did not function. I received notifications of the takata recall for the passenger side airbag over a year ago. It has been over a year now and still no word on repairs needed. I have been in constant contact with the local dealership who don't have a repair status for me. Just recently received a letter from tk holdings inc. To file a complaint. This is my only vehicle and i drive in constant fear that someone may hit my car for these airbags not to perform like they are supposed.

Takata recall - i have been waiting since early 2016 to get the takata airbags replace in my vehicle. A call today to mercedes benz customer service revealed that the nhtsa directed that other models be repaired first and they have no idea when i will get replacement airbags. I also received a notice today of the takata company filing for bankruptcy. I am concerned that i may never get these airbags replaced and do not understand why my life is not as important as someone with a more expensive automobile.

Takata recall.this recall is far too slow.it is a dangerous safety item, and it is more than a year that this problem has been well know.nhtsa must compel takata and the car manufacturers to increase production or outsourcing of the defective parts.this is shameful on the part of nhtsa, takata and the automobile manufacturers.all air bag inflators should go to the recall, and none to new vehicles until the recall has been completed..

Takata recallafter approximately 2 years after notification, the identified problems have still not been resolved.headlights - normal headlight operation does not provide sufficient illumination of the road.

"takata recall"still have no repair/replacement for my car.dealer says they don't have the replacement parts.data shows the age of the car makes it more prone to a problem.i'm in zone 1 which was suppose to have priority for replacement.no incidents to report yet.

Takata recall i own a 2010 mercedes glk 350 and was first notified by mercedes back in may of 2016 with an anticipated repair date of september 2017. That was then changed to march 2018 and then september 2018. The latest information now states september 2019 and i have no faith that it will be completed by then.i find this deplorable and can't believe that the department of transportation accepts this continuous pushback of repairs

Takata recall. I called the dealers but they are unable to do the job. I am afraid to suffer a future accident.

I received a notice from mbusa regarding the takata airbags in my vehicle. The very weekend i went to open road mercedes in bridgewater, nj. The service team said there is no eta for replacement and could be up to 2 years. I immediately went to check out pre- owned vehicles and reached a deal the following weekend with the sales team with a trade in value and provided down payment.. The manager of the dealership told me his sales was worn in their estimate and he needs to reduce the trade in value by 3700 $ due to the airbags. They sold the vehicle at full price, cannot fix it for 2 years but want to reduce the price for trade in. Mbusa needs to either fix it timely or give fair trade in value for a fault that was due to mbusa. The dealers are bleeding the owners of defective vehicles and taking advantage.

It was towed to mercedes service department in hoover and supposedly fix.however, the transfer case is still leaking.

Have not heard anything back about the recall replacement.

Takata recall. Both driver and passenger airbags are under recall. Repeatedly receive notice that parts are not available. Each time we are told a later date. Still no idea if we can ever get this repaired.

We were told that we would be contacted by the manufacturer to replace the defective air bags. To date we have not heard anything about remedying this problem. It's disheartening to know that others have also not been contacted to solve a life threatening problem for the consumer base of these vehicles.

Takata recall no fix in 9 years?

Takata recall.i have been waiting over 3 years for the defective airbags in my vehicle to be replaced. This is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for the repair of such a dangerous safety problem. Though takata made the defective airbag, mercedes benz sold the vehicle and should be accountable for repairing the defect in a reasonable amount of time. That time has already passed.in a recent letter mercedes indicated that "[my] safety is of utmost concern to mercedes benz".mb should not be allowed to sell another new vehicle in the united states until they have relied the potential dangerous of all defective airbags installed in their vehicles.

"tamara recall" i have not had an incident happen yet, but was just in an accident and lucky the airbags didn't go off. I'm extremely nervous driving my car now, and mercedes is claiming they are not a part of this recall since they haven't had any incidents reported. I am just looking to get a rental car, until this is fixed and can't seem to get answers from mercedes; besides denying that my car has a recall when it clearly does. They may not have any incidents yet, but i do not want to be the first.

Takata recall.having received notice of takata filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy, i contacted my local mercedes dealership asking if they were doing repairs for the two takata airbag inflator recalls mercedes issued in 2016. They said they will not address the issue until takata provides a remedy. It seems highly unlikely this will happen so we are left driving a vehicle with a defect known to result in injury or death.

Steering column module electrical causing the car inoperative. I turned the ignition and no sound. The dashboard did not light up. I could not get the car towed because the wheel locked. I had to request a tow that handles this type of issue.

"takata recall" the first recall for this vehicle #16v081 was dated 02/11/2016. I received recall notices in2016/2017 which i have since destroyed that said parts were expected in 2017. I received a 3rd notice in dec 2017 stating i was priority group 4 with parts expected in mar 2108. That was followed by one in jan 2108 changing me to priority group 6 with expected parts in sept 2018. Today i received another notice, feb 2019, changing it from a nhtsa recall to a mbusa recall # 2019010001 - phase 4, with no expected parts date, but their website says sep 2019. This recall was almost 3 years ago and mercedes benz seems to be dragging their feet. What does the government consider a "reasonable amount of time"? mercedes benz is making and selling cars everyday with ok airbags. Whyis the government allowing me to drive everyday with a defective airbag that may cause a death and allow mercedes benz to put this off?.

Takata recall with airbag inflators

"takata recall' is the current top concern to date with my car. I was sold a used lemon & would never purchase another mercedes based on my experience . I bought the car in october 2015~ it has been back to the dealership approximately 10 times. Some visits the car was there for 2 plus weeks. Mercedes put the wrong tires on the car causing alignment problems , tires wore down after 3000 miles, there is an unresolved condensation leak, unresolved oil leak, & currently have a srs diagnosis code which has been left undiagnosed.

Takata recall. This has been going on for years now and i fear risks to vehicle occupants might be increasing. Either tk holdings should provide the repair part or mercedes should as they have an obligation to do what they can to ensure the safety of their customers.i therefore want a resolution very soon, there has been too much delay.

Takata recall: good car into south bay mercedes for srs replacement as instructed on recall letter. Service advisor initially told me to pay for diagnostic prior to moving forward, but after i insisted that the issue was related to a recall notice, i was told the replacement of the srs module would be free of charge. After completed, advisor showed me that the warning was no longer active as the problem was fixed; as soon as i left the lot, the srs warning reappeared so i returned. Service advisor instructed me to then pay for a diagnostic as previously suggested because it was unrelated to the recall. Service advisor, roger, would not inspect vehicle any further without collecting payment. On the drive home, car was smoking; discovered oil all over the engine once i arrived at my destination (oil change performed as well). No recourse after contacting south bay mercedes-benz.; manager not available. I need immediate assistance as this is a safety issue that is not being addressed by mb usa.

Takata recall - mercedes just stonewalls. One of the two recalls ( both driver and passenger are recalled) is going on two years yet i have received no additional info. All i am told when i call is that they are waiting on parts and will get to it "as soon a possible". I live in dallas, tx. High temperatures and high humidity. My research shows that mercedes has only replaced less than 2% of the recalled airbags: the lowest % of any manufacturer.

Takata recall:years ago i was contacted by mail to notify my dealership to replace my air bags as soon as possible.when i called they said your parts have been ordered we will call you when they arrive.no call.a year later same thing. Call the dealership immediately to replace your air bags it is very dangerous to not have them replaced.called only to be told.... The part has not arrived yet.now it has beenover 3 years and they say..... The part is on back order!!!mercedes of orlando (maitland)spoke with lynn. I received a notice from an attorney stating there is a law suit starting up regarding this situation.i will personally be contacting him.also if i or my family is seriously injured i am holding mercedes of orlando responsible.

Takata recall - the recall has been ongoing for over two years and still no replacement parts available. Now there is a second recall for the passenger side airbag and parts are not available for it either. If this is not an emergency then why the recall. If it is an emergency then why is it taking so long to fix.

Two recalls regarding driver and passenger side airbags.dealer does not have parts to replace.

Takata recall - for over 2 years, i have attempted to have mercedes benz-honolulu replace the takata airbags as per the recall notices i receive approximately every 6 months from mercedes-benz usa.each time, i am told that they do not have the parts.recently, the service department attempted to take the recall notice from me and tell me the recall was expired.upon further insistence, i was again told that the part is not in and the notices are being sent by mercedes usa as required by federal law but there are no parts.therefore, they are unable to provide me with an eta because newer vehicles are the priority and at this time they do not know when they will receive the parts to replace the takata airbags.

On 4/24/16, a toyota rear ended me and pushed me into the vehicle in front of me.the damage would have been repairable until my car caught on fire.it looked like it started in the inside above the gas tank area, but the man working at the impound lot the next day said it looked electrical.either way, the impact should not cause a mercedes to catch on fire.i was on a city street stopped at a stoplight.

After only 7 years of owning the 2010 mb glk 350, both the engine mounts and transmission mounts needed to be replaced at an estimated cost of $3000.00 at the dealership.the car has less than 50,000 miles on it, mostly city driving.this can present a safety hazard if you are driving your vehicle in high speeds; the engine may shift and bounce about so violently that various parts will fly off.condition mostly seen in high mileage cars.

The contact owns a 2010 mercedes glk350. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, all of the lights on the instrument panel illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The dealer was notified. Several days later the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnose that the starter and fuel pump needed to be replaced. Also, the electrical system was upgraded. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who decided to dispatch an engineer to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 18,000.

That saturday i had my 30,000 mile service at estate motors in goldens bridge, ny. Thedealer also did an "open recall". They deducted $20 from my bill to get a car wash. I drove directly to a car wash on route 202 in new milford, ct. About 3:00 pm, i was third in line and as the two cars ahead edged forward, turning left to go in, i nudged my gas pedal and the vehicletook off like a rocket, glanced off the car bumper ahead, ran over electric equipment and a 3 foot tall tree, went halfway over a 3 foot high wall and was stopped by smashing into a tree. Nobody was hurt. I had kept my seat belt on and was only slightly bruised. At first i thought i must have done something wrong, as i told the police, but realized later thatwas impossible. I am a good and careful driver as all records will attest. I could not have jammed my foot down on the gas pedal. I later found that the "open recall" had to do with a cam solenoid, which is involved with the flow of gasoline into the motor. I also found on google three almost identical incidents reported on this particular model and year. Take a look. I find it very hard to believe this is just a coincidence.s mercedes benz has been uncooperative and states their inspection showed nothing wrong with the relevant parts of my suv. After the amount of damage and repair, i think one can be skeptical about their opinion. How could they know what the car was like before this? mercedes denies any responsibility. As i am deeply upset by the cost to my insurance company for something i do not believe is my fault, the future increases in insurance rates that will follow, the $560 lost in the 30,000 mile check-up and my $1000 deductible, the loss of value of my car, and by the insensitivity and rudeness of mercedes benz, whose staff fails to return phone calls and is generally uncooperative.

Intermittent warning "check right tail and brake light" i check and light not functioning; message disappears, lights work and then repeats with light not functioning. Additionally car fails to start on several occasions. Has been in shop 3 days. Not sure if it is wiring harness faulty, circuit board, perhaps harness or sockets burnt, melted. Note that this problem is rampant in online reporting. Mercedes reports no recalls.

My transmission began leaking fluid with 22,000 miles on it and now the transfer case needs to be replaced because it is leaking transmission fluid. I was driving up a hill and my suv felt like it was skipping gears. The next day i noticed red liquid on the garage floor. It was towed to mercedes service department in hoover and supposedly fix.however, the transfer case is still leaking.

Fuel/gas tank leaking after filling up the tank. Car smell of gas and pool of gas observed on the floor of the garage. I have to backed up the car on the street to avoid possible fire on my property. This is the second incidence...the first incident was a week ago, the car smells of gas and i brought the car to my mechanic and he can't find any leak in the fuel system nor on the fuel tank, the gas tank was half empty at that time. After filling up the tank on 4/10/13, that is when i've noticed that the gas is leaking (pool of gas on the floor) from the fuel tank after parking in car at home.

Fuel leaking near the rear passenger side coming from top of gas tank near fuel sender.smell of fuel in vehicle cabin when filling the gas tank to full. Noticed a steady leak of gasoline with 30 drops a minute (when full) and puddle of gasoline on garage floor.the smell of gasoline subsides once the tank is below half full. Fuel leak only when gas tank is full.

The contact owns a 2010 mercedes-benz glk350. While the vehicle was stationary, fuel spilled from the fuel pump into the cabin of the vehicle under the front driver and passenger seats. Mercedes-benz of fort washington (404 pennsylvania ave, fort washington, pa 19034) was made aware of the failure and stated that the fuel pump and relays needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

Plastic seal on gaskets for gas tank failed on both sides of car. Causes leaking of fuel and odor into passenger area of vehicle and danger of explosion due to leaking fuel. It occurs when gas tank is more than 3/4 full to full of fuel.

This last two weeks, we noticed that there's a strong smell of gas.there's no leak that we could see but the odor is strong that gives us headaches.we are doing a research on why this is happening but the only thing we see about it online is about the link between gas tanks and gas filter.please help.

The contact owns a 2010 mercedes-benz glk350. The contact stated that there was an abnormal fuel odor inside and outside the vehicle. The contact stated that the odor was more prevalent after refueling the vehicle. The contact removed the rear seat of the vehicle and noticed a fuel leak around the fuel tank and both fuel pumps. There was also evidence of a fuel leak underneath the vehicle after refueling. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.

Our car has developed a serious fuel leak on the drivers side rear.when the tank is filled to capacity, or near capacity, a serious gasoline odor develops.the other night when we discovered this problem, our entire home became engulfed in these fumes and we had to remove the car from the garage and put it out on the street.also, when we moved the car out of the garage, we noticed gasoline was dripping from under the car and formed trail of gas all the way out into the street.the leak is caused by a faulty fuel filter/filter housing.this particular part is what was recalled and replaced by mercedes benz in the 20011 and 2012 model years.our car is a model year 2010, but it has the same fuel filter (part #2214700390 from autohaus az)) and if you shop for a new one, you can see it is the same for the years 2010 thru 2012.the fuel filter is at the top of the tank and can easily be replaced by removing the right rear passenger seat.however, the odor and fumes at times will enter the cabin of the vehicle, and if the car is parked on an incline, leaning from right to left, i am sure gas can travel across the undercarriage and over the hot exhaust.

Lately, everytime i filled up the gas tank, i can smell gas from the rear left area.after some time when the tank is maybe a little over half the smell is gone.i assume there is a leak somewhere from the fill pipe to the tank. Maybe a bad rubber connector, gasket/seal failure?the vehicle has never been involved in any crash.normal usage.low mileage. Should this be covered by mb warranty at no cost to the owner?thank you.

I pulled into my garage and noticed a strong smell of gas as soon as i got out of the car. After being in the house approximately 2 hours, the smell of gas filled the house. I pulled the vehicle out of the garage and it created a trail of gas inside the garage. Mbusa refused to cover the repair and also refused to disclose information related to this issue when i requested more information from the customer referral representative. I'm pretty sure it's not safe to just have fuel being trailed up and down highways and everyone is unaware. Hopefully they can be fined for endangering people.

The contact owns a 2010 mercedes-benz glk350. While filling up the fuel tank, fuel leaked out. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that either the fuel pump or the tank was cracked. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 91,574.

The contact owns a 2010 mercedes-benz glk350. While driving 60 mph, fuel leaked from the vehicle. In addition, the vehicle leaked fuel onto the ground when parked. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 85,000.

After filling up the tank the car smells and leaks gas. However, the leaks stops after few hours. I took it to an independent mercedes repair shop, they told me they need to change a unit and this is a common issue for mercedes. After spending $450, the problem came back a month later. Now, they are saying, i need to change another fuel unit which will cost me an addition $650!

String gas smell from under the car, found the fuel pump cover cracked and seal faulty

The vehicle leaks fuel at a steady rate.

Excessive fuel smell, turns out it's the fuel tank, was informed plastic fuel tank seam is splitting and is now a fire/safety issue.informed that mercedes is aware of the problem and replaced many during warranty period, but now since my warranty is over this safety repair will cost me in excess of 3,000.00.this is a fire hazard and big time safety issue that the nhtsa needs to look into.

Plastic seal on gaskets for gas tank failed on both sides of car. Causes leaking of fuel and odor into passenger area of vehicle and danger of explosion due to leaking fuel. It occurs when gas tank is more than 3/4 full to full of fuel.

On a hot humid day on july 21, 2019 after driving for70 minutes of mostly highway mileage, there was a strong gas smell as i exited the driver's side door. My daughter exiting the rear passenger side door also noticed the intense smell of gasoline. The next day, i drove a short distance of 7 minutes and again i notice strong nauseating gas smell as i exited the car. Called the dealership and told to bring car in as soon as possible. I was informed that the fuel filter cracked. I researched the internet and noted that the 2011 and 2012 glk350 models were on recall list; however the 2010 model was not! i was given an estimate of $1250 (labor and parts included) for the replacement of new fuel filter. I will upload receipts as soon as the job is completed (i am waiting for the work to be completed as i type this report).

Every time i fill up my mercedes glk 350 with fuel there is a very strong odor of fuel in my garage after i park the car.there is no visible leak of fuel on the garage floor or notification of any issue on the dashboard.the strong fuel order goes away after driving the car and burning off a gallon or so.this is a serious safety and health issue that started few weeks ago and is of a big concern to me and to my family.

Extremely strong smell of gasoline when tank is filled, mercedes benz recalled 2011 and 2012 model year glk350 vehicles for a fuel leak but did not recall model year 2010 glk350 vehicles. The same recall is necessary for model year 2010 glk 350 vehicles.

Very strong smelling fuel odor after everytime i fill it up with fuel. Yesterday 06/20/16 it starting leaking fuel. This has been going on since i bought it in november 2015.car could be stationary or in motion and the smell of fuel is always there. Smells the worst when i fill it up. The actual leak prompted me to file this complaint.

There is a very strong fuel odor coming from rear left passenger tire area when tank gets completely with gas. I noticed the smell after leaving the gas station and bringing the car home to park it in my garage.the gas smell is so strong, it leaks into the house (via attached garage).initially i assumed that i must have just spilled a little gas while pumping it. However, the second time i went to fill the car up the same exact thing happened. To date we have no remedy for this problem. Again, this has happened twice so far.

Fuel leaking/dripping after filling up with gas.the smell of gas prompted me to look under the vehicle and it was then that i saw a small pool of gas on the driveway.the leaking stopped when the tank was less thanfull and recurred when filling the gas tank.no damage yet, going to the dealer for their assesment.

"gas leak and strong odor"have a gas leak with strong gas smell and mercedes states my vin not part of their recall.this is absurb and such a slap in the face to all mercedes owners!we spend more than the average thinking we are getting quality, safety and reliability, but instead just the opposite.i am soooo disappointed is the way this is being handled and mercedes seems to think it's nothing.our lives are at risk not to mention to health issues.i had to go to the er for an inhalation injury from this and all they can say is my vin is not part of the recall...wow..unbelievable.

The rear passenger door behind the driver does not unlock.this condition is random at best, it may stay locked for a week and then unlock normally for a few days and then return to the locked state.

Vehicle developed transmission whine. Transmission will be replaced.

This is a 5 year old vehicle with 57000 miles and the transmission needs replaced.i have researched online and have found numerous people reporting same problem with same vehicle at around same mileage.makes me think there is some fundamental problem with the vehicle that mb has failed to acknowledge and fix.the repair will cost over $6000 which is around the same cost others have reported online.it just seems too coincidental to me that so many people have had same problem with this vehicle with the symptoms being the same at around the same mileage.might be something to look into and hold mb accountable for.isn't this the kind of thing that drives recalls?

We have had continuing problems with the control buttons on the windows, temp controls, lights, etc.losing their painted covering/delaminating. Mercedes has said that this is an environmental problem due to hand lotion and/or air fresheners and not a defect.we've have many cars over many years and we've never had this problem occur before. Apparently mercedes has recognized the problem and sent a service advisory to their repair entities but they are refusing to acknowledge this as a defect.this is a safety problem as the letters and words on the buttons become illegible forcing the driver to take their attention from road to try and obtain the required action. Consumer stated that transmission failed at 85,847 miles. Consumer heard a fan-like noise coming from the transmission. There was metal in the transfer case. The transmission was replaced and the cooler and torque converter were flushed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but did not offer assistance. *dl

The vehicle is a mercedes benz dealership in raleigh, nc on capital blvd because it will not start. There's a steering lock problem and i was told that only certain vin numbers is covered for this year, make and model. My vehicle has approximately 80,000 miles. I don't understand why this vehicle is not covered under the same recall (started jan 25, 2019) being it's having the same issue at the same time as the other vehicles. The vehicle was at capital chevrolet dealership and they had it towed to mercedes benz dealership and i was told it wouldn't start.capital chevrolet said that the mercedes dealership said it could happen at anytime and anywhere.i was told the cost is on me. After some research i found out theres a recall on my year, make and model but not my vehicle which is currently at the dealership with the same issue. Can someone explain why this very low mileage vehicle is having the same problem and myself and my grandchildren could lose our lives if it happened with us while occupying the vehicle, who would be responsible for the recall and our lives?

Steering column module electrical causing the car inoperative. I turned the ignition and no sound. The dashboard did not light up. I could not get the car towed because the wheel locked. I had to request a tow that handles this type of issue.

Steering lock seized after car was parked. Unable to shift gears, turn ignition or start car. Cost $2000 to fix! the worst car ever!!

Igntion issues

I was driving my glk 350 on a road at 35 mph and suddenly my steering wheel got stuck and it wasn't moving i hit the brakes in the middle of road. I couldn't move my steering wheel and i turned off my car and tried to restart it and it didn't started. I checked my battery it was good. I looked online what was the problem and a lot of people had same problem with their glk 350 and only mercedes can fix it so i have to toe it to the dealership and it costed me $1850 it's just a way for them to make money but it could have got me into a serious accident that day

Sudden unintended acceleration probably due to accidentally hitting cruise control handle, which is right above turn signal (defective design issue in many mercedes models), when attempting to park in disabled parking area.

2010 mercedes benkglk350. On saturday, october 16, i was attempting to reverse out a parking space in the westfield shopping center, wheaton, md. I put the car in reverse and reversed slowly. I then put the car in drive and moved forward to do a 3 point turn.. Placed the car in reverse and it stalled for a few seconds then lurched backward, hitting another car.this is not the first time i have noticed this behavior but it is the first time it lurched so hard that it literally jumped one full car length and hit the car.i went online and noticed a few reports detailing the same behavior. Is this a common glk problem and if yes, what are you doing about it.

To whom it may concern:i recently took my 2010 mercedes glk to my longtime mechanic, kevin brady of brady's automotive repair in laguna niguel for service and a smell of gas vapor in the passenger cabin.upon further inspection he found a fractured plastic cover plate as part of the fuel filter system under the rear passenger seat.i have included a picture where you can clearly see fuel having soaked the exterior of the cover plate.kevin replaced the defective part with with oem parts at a cost of $282.60.upon further review i found a similar component for which the cover plate belongs to as subject to recall 12v557000.the recall is for the same make and model of vehicle with the same part recall called for causing the same issue as the 2011 model recall .my model is just one year prior to the referenced recall.it appears mercedes's defective part is a bigger issue than the previous recall let on.fuel and vapor should never be allowed to enter the passenger cabin.i retained the defective part for further examination.i contacted mercedes benz about the issue.i offered to allow them to examine the part and asked for a reimbursement of my $282.60(i did not condition the examination on the reimbursement).they refused and gave me a corporate legalese response.so i turn to you for help.thanks in advance.

The problem is a faulty ball bearing in the gear box behind the transmission, and i was quoted a price of 6,000.00. I feel as if this is a recurring problem with this particular vehicle, and no customer should beheld financially liable for the cost of fixing or having the problem resolved.

Circumstances leading up to an accident on my mercedes benz e350 2010 which started rolling on a hill while the car was in park.on monday august 30, 2010 i drove my vehicle to the intersection of delavall and tillotson ave. In the bronx. I parked my care on delavall ave. And put the car in park with the engine running. My salesman remained in the care to make telephone calls in the comfort of the cars air-conditioning. I checked twice to make sure the car was in park and then i left my salesman in the car.i went into my customers building and was in there for more than fifteen minutes when i came back to the car and asked my salesman to accompany me back into the building. I instructed my salesman to turn off the car. When he who is in the passenger seat reached over to remove the key from the ignition the car started to roll. I screamed for him to stop the car but he could not climb over the console and apply the brake neither could he move the shift selector. The car rolled downhill for some 30 ft. And crashed into the rear of a parked vehicle.fortunately my salesman was not injured and the car that was hit was an abandoned vehicle with no plates. The damage to my vehicle was to my passenger side front bumper.i have been driving for almost 60 years and have never had an experience like this with any previous vehicles.once again the car was parked on a slight grade in park for more than 15 minutes when the key was removed the vehicle began to roll down the street. Fortunately no one was killed or injured and there were no severe damages to either vehicles or any buildings. However the outcome could have been tragic.
