Takata recall
Bought the car two days ago the the air ride start leaking
"takata recall" i received a recall letter from mercedes dated may, 2016 regarding recall # 20160220003 fdrive-side air bag module. Nhtsa recall #16-v-081. It has been a year and i contacted them regarding this issue and they still have no fix and no eta for a fix. They told me to contact takata. They admit in their letter that is a serious and potentially life threatening problem and will make it their "highest priority". Apparently, that means they need someone to die first. Maybe someone has...i don't know but will surely look into it. They clearly have no sense of urgency regarding this issue or for the safety of their customers.
Takata recallreceived recall notice quite awhile ago and it is still pending

I received notification from mercedes last yearthat i have a defective airbag, but they have not yet received the replacement part. I called about ten months later they said they did not have the part and my car is not really affected, it was a courtesy notification. I now have a notification that tk holdings inc is flinging for bankruptcy and i still do not have a replacement.
Takata recall. First stated the driver side was only affected, now it's passenger bag as well. Two letters advising of same, however, no plan in place to correct. Recall clearly states this is a "life threatening" situation, yet no plan in sight to keep myself and my family safe. Unsettling is an understatement.
Takata recall i was notified there is a recall on the airbags but that "parts are not available" that has been mailed to me at least on 2 mailings. Not action has been taken by the dealer or takata. Why have they not fixed this know problem and dangerous situation? do i have to wait until i'm injured or dead before action is taken? fix my car!!
The vehicle slams itself into park when moving under 5mph.this mostly occurs when temperatures are above about 75-80 degrees fahrenheit.
While driving around a slight curve, (below posted safe speed limit), the front brakes applied jerking the car first one direction and then the other.the dash traction control lite came on momentarily as the event took place.this event has occurred numerous times in both directions resulting in excessive wear and chaffing on the outer tread of each front tire.mercedes technicians ruled the car was reacting according to design and the causewas worn tires (even though the tires still had 5/32 inch of tread left.the tires are the original continental 245/40 r 18 tires that came on the car and still have 3/32 inch of tread above the wear indicators.a professional tire dealer informed me that the tires were in deed worn but not enough to fail state inspections.mercedes allowed me to leave on this un-safe condition and closed work order complaint!
The airmatic suspension has malfunctioned!the air springs started deflating over night sometimes just on other nights all them and then other nights not at all now they will not inflate at all and is undrivable. Also the cooling fan runs constantly if the car is running!
The contact owns a 2010 mercedes benz e550. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the steering wheel seized. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 29,000.
At 80mph, the front driveshaft u-joint failed, which caused a loss of power and a loud clunking sound. Vehicle would not move on its own power. Teardown showed a completely destroyed front driveshaft u-joint, damage to heat shielding, damage to oxygen sensors, damage to the catalytic converter, along with superficial damage to the bellhousing and missing brackets.failure is suspected to the geometry of the front driveshaft, which connects at an angle from the transfer case to the front differential on 4matic-equipped vehicles. This introduces additional stress to the u-joint, making it prone to failure.
2010 mercedes benz 350 e4matic rolled away after parked on hill , parking brake set, and engine off. The vehicle shift selector will not move to park unless key is out of ignition or shift lever is placed in park.
I procured the vehicles 32,000 miles as a cpo. It had new brake rotors on it. Over the next 75,000 miles the brake rotors had to be replaced 7 times for warping and dangerously increasing stopping distances. This apparently not unusual for this vehicle.
My car was only 7 years old and needed the airbags replace i can be driving my car in my air bags to give out that is very dangerous i was at least going 75 miles per hour scared the hell out of me. And there's a recall for the steering wheel of this vehicle

In june 2011, i was driving at about 55 mph when the windshield cracked and broke on the passenger side, in the corner, about midway between the top and the bottom. At time of the break, there was an impact sound, as if a pebble had hit the windshield, but i didn't see any object. The windshield was replaced about two weeks later.in october 2011, the windshield broke again in just about the same spot on the windshield, under the same driving conditions, this time in a different state. It just seem like an unlikely coincident. Could there be a defect in the glass?
When vehicle is parked overnight the front suspension frequently drops low to the ground with error message "vehicle too low". Vehicle loses air suspension ability to drive in lowered position.
Tapping in the front shock airl r
Rear suspension drops overnight when temperature drops 45f. Multiple times during winter. Not seen during summer.
The airmatic suspension has malfunctioned!the air springs started deflating over night sometimes just on other nights all them and then other nights not at all now they will not inflate at all and is undrivable. Also the cooling fan runs constantly if the car is running!
Previously my rear struts were replaced and now my front right is defective and needs replacing.
Rear and front suspensions not working very hard ride
Faulty front air suspension leaks air
Car was bought in 2017 with 100,000 miles, everything looks good, no special activity with the car , no long rides, just inside the city when it reached $120,000 miles the two rear air suspension just broke down for no reason, they have been replaced, now a year after the 2 front one just went down for no reason, very bad surprises while in the highway from airport home the car fell down the redlight to pull over came up and it was hard to stop at the side of the way, since the tires and wheels couldn't turn no where since the whole front of the car just fell down so bad, very dangerous situation
Air suspension is leaking air over a couple of days.
W212 2010 e550 (40k miles). As many of you know they're a fantastic car, however with a lousy air suspension! the car would drop overnight making it look like a low rider.
Air suspension leaking and vehicle lowers in the front after being parked more than 2 days.
Front air struts suspension failed when car isn't in use. The car was parked in the garage and got down.part # 212-320-31-38part # 212-320-32-38there are a lot of incidents or concern reported with this specific mercedes benz air suspension system.mercedes benz not cover this issue by manufacture defective or by warranty.each air strut list price cost is $3,598.41 for a total quantity for the set $7,196.82 + tax + installation cost.incredible and ridiculous highly cost for an air struts set replacement. Please investigate it. I consider that this type of suspension is with a kind of fabric defect not recognize yet by mercedes benz.
This my second vehicle from mb and again one with air suspension. This time this car is only 5 years old with less than 50k miles and the air suspension is going out, even though the front suspension had already been replaced, left and right, at only 43k miles. This air suspension is a lemon product and i demand all w212 air suspension owners e550, e63amg to report this issue to get resolved.
The rear suspension air bags, solenoid distribution valve and airmatic compressor require replacement according to the mercedes dealership service department. Rear suspension drops nearly to the ground while vehicle is stationary and vehicle is unsafe to operate.
The contact owns a 2010 mercedes benz e550. While driving approximately 55 mph, the warning suspension danger indicator illuminated. The contact maneuver to the side of the road to a complete stop. The vehicle was repaired by an independent mechanic.. The details of the repairs were unknown. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.
My rear suspension has been dropping overnight for the last 2 years
Car suspension won't ride up and days car is too low pull over ' malfunction' appears after car tries riding and fails seems to only happen when it's very cold
The cars air suspension has gone out while driving its sagging to fenders.it's very dangerous.
In many mercedes benz vehicles with air ride suspension the "air struts" fail. This happened to mine. It can happen while sitting still or while driving at any speed on the roads. The dashboard goes red and tells you to stop driving as the suspension has gone too low. My suspension went all the way down and the front end was only a couple of inches off the ground. Very dangerous, at speeds of 70 mph on the interstate this could cause catastrophic issues. Mercedes benz has know about these problems for over a decade and still use these parts. Why has nothing been done about this? this is a very dangerous safety issue, that could cause death or serious injury to the driver, occupant, or others on the road.
Airbag system is malfunctioning causing car to drop to unsafe driving levels. Red light stays on on my dash saying car to low pull over.. Why mercedes, why?
Airmatic suspension failure. Car has excessive lowering after overnight period of sitting and uneven ride.
My car drops over night. Some days my front would drop to the floor. Some days my rear and some days the whole car will be on the floor.
Air suspension system is defective

The air suspension intermittently drops the car, resulting in a warning light that says car too low, pull over.you have to stop the car wherever it happens immediately as the car is so low it rubs the wheels on the wheel wells.i've had to stop on the side of two different freeways and up in the mountains when it was 10 degrees outside.it will usually raise back up if you turn the car off and on several times, but sometimes it may take much longer for it to raise back up.sometimes when i come out in the morning the car has lowered as well.
