When i try to put the vehicle in park the car is stuck in drive or reverse. If the car is in reverse or if the vehicle is in drive and you use the gear selector to put the vehicle in park or change and gear the vehicle does not change the gear. I bought this vehicle certified preowned from mercedes-benz dealership in july 2019 the vehicle has less than 4000 miles on it since i bought it certified and this issue has occurred. This is a safety issue which could have injury and or death. The mercedes-benz dealer is stating there was a fault code with the shifter attached to the steering wheel and need to replace the entire module due to an electrical fault. The dealership is refusing to honor disrepair under a safety maintenance from the manufacture. I have escalated this matter to mercedes-benz executive relations. This issue has been ongoing for the past several months since last year.

Car shown intermittent problem of not accelerating when gas pedal is pushed. It will give many jerky movements but then after few minutes driving like this it will normalize.i took it twice to dealer and they could not identify or replicate problems.then my wife taking kids to school has similar problem so i got scared for safety of kids and wrote to their head quarter. They told me to take the car back to dealer and leave it for 5-6 days so they can try to find the problem.after few days they gave me "great news" that they confirm the problem and identify the source it is"water in the gas"i was told that costco and smith sell cheaper gas but quality is notgood and told me to watch" channel 3"where there was a report in this regard.i told them that i don't buy thistheory as costco and smith are two big companies to allow this lacking and i see thousands of other motorists getting their tank filled there.they told me that mb will not guaranteeuntil gas has not changed and i agreed to change the gas and getlater fill up from "chevron".or the safety of my kids i still follow their recommendations and gas is only refilled from chevron but as i suspected this is not the problem as car continues to have similar problem and will not speed up by pushing accelerator intermittently .due to risk car is almost kept in garage and used only for intense need.
When accelerating from a stop, the 722.9 7g-tronic automatic transmission sometimes get stuck in 1st gear.the engine speed almost instantaneously exceeds 5000 rpm.the car must be immediately driven off the road, the engine turned off and then restarted.the transmission will then shift properly until the next time it fails which could be at almost any time.this is a very common complaint which mercedes benz has known about for years.only mercedes benz will repair the problem since they will not allow 3rd parties access to the repair parts.their cost to repair is in excess of $2000. There is a pending class action lawsuit against mercedes benz for this ongoing issue: case 2:16-cv-00727-dsf-e.charlie a. Jacquo-stevensonand corey r. Stevenson, onbehalf of themselves and all otherssimilarly situated,plaintiffs,vs.mercedes-benz usa, llc, ddefendant.

I have had 2 mb e-350 engine failures within 13 months.both were "camshaft sensor" issues.when i researched this issue i see that mb had a know defect in or about 2009 with these engines.i believe that it remains unresolved today.the chances of one person having 2 vehicles with the same defect causing approximately $9,000 each in losses is close to the chances of being attacked by a black bear and a polar bear in the same day.i think that there is a hidden defect that mb is not recognizing. It is costing consumers thousands of $$ in repairs due solely to this defect and should be a mb cost.

My 2016 mercedes e-350, which i bought 2 years ago as a cpo vehicle from a mercedes dealer has a problem with the e-parking brake system.i brought it to the dealer in march to have this repaired, and was told the entire parking brake cable and other parts needed replacement.i assumed this was a covered repair, especially with the extended warranty given on certified vehicles, and the fact the car is fairly new and has less than 50,000 miles.however the dealer said it is not covered by mercedes and would cost me over $2500 to repair.i contacted mercedes support directly, but they would not agree to cover this unusually and costly repair, as they claim (incorrectly) this is normal wear and tear, although i never had a parking brake system fail in the past on any vehicle.this raises a) serious safety issues as i can no longer use the parking brake, and b) mercedes should be obligated under their warranty program to cover this type of repair.looking online, i see others have had similar problems, so this is a known issue with this model and year of vehicle.please help me get mercedes to cover this safety needed repair at their cost, as they should be obligated.thank you, [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
The contact owns a 2016 mercedes-benz e350. While driving approximately 25 mph, the steering system suddenly malfunctioned and the steering wheel became very difficult to turn. The contact's vehicle crashed into a second vehicle. During the crash, the message "malfunction" displayed on the instrument panel. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact sustained lacerations to both hands during the crash, but medical attention was not required. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 2,000.
On highway i found steering wheel down is not working.

Started developing (april 2021) a rattle in car's roof along with occasional metal popping sound coming from rear of car.continued to get worse.then rattle stopped for a while and so did the metal popping sound. Now ( august, 2021)it sounds like there is a bolt loose in the sunroof area and the metal popping sound is really loud and i think coming from roof.most of the time when car body twist, like going up a slight incline at an angle when entering a parking lot this incredible loud popping sound resonates throughout the entire car body.played around on mercedes website and it appears that mercedes has problems with sunroof bolts coming loose.this is a safety defect -- if sunroof comes lose at 70 mph it is going to fly off and hurt or kill someone. Also strength of roof is compromised and if have accident where roof protection is needed it will probably fail.
Panoramic roof making noise. Upon dealer troubleshooting was informed panoramic roof weld or hardware is affected. Car only has 35000 miles and car was about week past the 5 year manufacture warranty. I was informed dealer would have to replace the panoramic sunroof and cost will be around $8500.00 issue is noticed when car is driven and noise gets louder and frequent with high temp outside.
My collision prevention made my 2016 mercedes benz e400 slam on the breaks with no cars around other then the car parked to the side of the road and the cars behind me.
The car unintentionally accelerates when starting from a stopped position. The engine revs up then the car lurches. This has happened several times when trying to proceed forward and backward. The car was brought in for service but no issues were found and the car returned as was.
The air from ac vents smells moldy and of mildewy odor.
Panoromic roof. Roof makes creaking noise when turning or driving on uneven or rough road. Noise seems to be coming from the reinforcement plate between panoromic roof joint. This is very noticiable, lubing the sunroof track or positon of sunroof(close or open) does not reduce noise or issue.
My wife was traveling at 65 miles per hour in the high occupancy vehicle lane of the long island expressway when the car suddenly decelerated and a warning light came on the dashboard. The vehicle would not allow her to accelerate any longer and she became disabled instantly causing an extremely dangerous situation for her. Obviously she had to attempt to get off the highway, or at least onto the shoulder. However she had to cross four lanes of traffic while going twenty miler per hour.

Windshield wiper does not work faster enough at high speed to allow auto to operate safely at moderate to high speeds in rainstorm
Vehicle is equipped with continental contiprocontacts 245/40r18 tires that creates a sidewall bubble/blisters. I replaced 2 front tires already with vehicle mileage less than 7,500 miles. Now both rear tires that have less than 11,000 have both established sidewall bubbles/blisters. All tires are currently continental tires.
Rear wheel cracked at the bead. Parallel to the axle. Right to left. This is a result of fatigue. After being in the automotive business the most of my life this is not abbuse.
