I have received notice for 2years about this bag recall, but every time i speak to someone at mercedes benz south they tell me ' the part not in yet, they will call me when it comes in.' i am documenting every conversation that i have with mercedes-benz because if something happened to me while driving that car they will be responsible.

Takata recall.i have been complaining to my local mecedes benz dealer that my srs light is now on.i feel this is putting me in a dangerous situation because there is a recall to fix the airbag.i feel my car should be a priority as one of the first to get fixed since the warning is there now.i feel my life and those of my loved ones are unnecessarily being put in harms way when they can fix this issue immediately. I want takata to issue me a voucher for my mercedes to be checked immediately. I know other cars need to be changed but theirs is not displaying a "warning" that something is wrong right now.please help.

I have been waiting for replacement sence 5/1/16 what is going onit now 1/28/18 almost 2 years with out replacement.please let me no when i can get this replaceed.thank you

"takata recall" - 2 airbags recalls for front driver and passenger airbags. Been waiting for 2 years and still showing remedy bot available. Thanks

Takata recall, seven years, no remedy, no timeline or estimate for remedy.

Takata recall:i was notified in january 2016 that my takata airbag could cause serious injury and as of today, august 4,2016 there is no remedy.the mercedes dealer tells me i should be ok to drive my car but i feel if there is a safety issue that's important enough to recall they should be replacing my vehicle with a model that doesn't have a safety recall or fixing the issue.i have had no injuries or accidents in my vehicle.this is a complaint about the delay in fixing a known safety issue.

Takata recall. Called dealer year ago feb 2016 and was told they would be in touch to schedule repair.called today to follow up 10/27/2017 , dealer reps redirect my call to the il dept of insurance.when i call the dealer back.1. Dealer is not responsible, call mercedes.2. Called mercedes, read faqs3. Read faqs called dealer.4. We don't have parts.5. We don't know anything about parts.6. We will call you just as soon as we have the parts but we don't know anything about the parts.7. Call takata. Called takata. Nada.8 called dealer, don't call us, we will call you. When? we have no idea. There is a bankruptcy. But the notice says there is no connection. Call mercedes.nothing is being done, although the noticefrom takata, specifically states that inspite of the restructuring the dealer is responsible to schedule repairs.meanwhile the dealer has turned into a bankruptcy specialist and is hiding behind and deliberately propagating misconceptions that since this restructuring is happening they have no further obligation. I.e. We don't know, we can't schedule, it will probably be alright, call a 800 number someplace else. Here is an 800 number 800 222 0100 at mercedes and when you call that number it is the same story. The problem is systemic, corporate, deliberate, collusive and done with the intent to avoid addressing the problem.

Takata recallnhtsa recall number 16v081 was issued on february 11, 2017. Nearly two years later, no remediation is yet available.i am the current owner and a resident of marietta, georgia. This vehicle was originally sold and registered in florida meaning that this vehicle has spent the vast majority of it's life in a high humidity environment.with takata recently declaring bankruptcy, what is being done about the potentially hazardous airbags in my vehicle? mercedes-benz is able to tell me nothing.i find this situation to be unacceptable.

Takata recall. The dealership said there is no remedy to fix it.

"takata recall" mercedes-benz has consistently been pushing back the repair date for my vehicle. The initial repair date was august 2018, which then a letter received noting it would be remedied in december. When december arrived, my local dealer noted that my vin shows that there is no longer an expected repair date. I contacted mercedes-benz directly and they just noted that there is no remedy expected anytime soon. The company has also refused to provide a vehicle in the meantime while a remedy is being found. Personally, the takata airbag issue is worrisome to myself and my family and the fact that mercedes-benz does not feel any sympathy and will not provide another vehicle due to the major safety concerns is simply unprofessional. Many other automakers is providing vehicles to their clients, and mercedes-benz should be doing the same. They must realize they people do travel to areas they do experience high corrosion rates and therefore, they are more likely to be affected than the average vehicle. Mercedes-benz should really rethink their stance on these recalls for their clients.

I received two recall notices and contacted the nearest dealer for replaring the airbags. I have been told that the parts had not been arrived. They are still not being repaired/replaced.

The front passenger side airbag was defective and needed to be replaced. This is a manufacturer's issue and the cost of replacement should be paid by the manufacturer. The vehicle is a 2011 with 42,000 miles and never been in an accident.## vin passed ## mercedes benz e 350 cabriolet ##

Takata recall - it's been over a year since the recall and dealer still says there are no replacement parts

I was driving home from work at approximately 1:30 pm on a clear, sunny day, about a minute away from my home. The road conditions were good, and there was no traffic. I stopped at the corner to make a left turn. As i proceeded to turn, the car suddenly accelerated. I immediately applied the brakes, but they did not engage. I had no control of the car. It jumped the curb ( caught on property owner's camera, going air born) , as i continued to brake as hard as i could with the car increasingly accelerating.i crashed through a fence and hit a pole which stopped the car deploying both driver side airbags. There was severe damage to the front right side of the car, and it was totaled. I was taken to the hospital via ambulance.my injury was diagnosed as acute l1 compression fracture along the superior endplate with mild anterior wedging. I was referred to an orthopedic specialist and have not returned to work due to pain and elevated blood pressure. To make matters worse, two days later i was issued a warning for failure to control speed!@&!

Takata recall

Takata recall... I am getting the run around on my airbags. My airbag recall has been pending for years... This is a 2011 car, should not still be pending.

My vehicles airbags still have not been resolved. I received a letter regarding recall but no more information has been received.

On 3-22-2021, my car was rear ended. The car that that rear ended my car was going at a high speed: the neck rests opened due to the accident. The air bags did not open. I noticed that there was a recall on airbags for 2011 mercedes but no recall for my vin. How can i know that my air bags function?

Takata recall. Mercedes benz (mbz) sent letter dated april 2016 notifying me of driver's side airbag inflator recall and another letter dated august 2016 notifying me of front passenger side airbag inflator recall. As yet i have received no information from mbz as to when a replacement part will even become available, let alone ready for installation. Neither of the subject airbags has deployed, but i am concerned that this problem is not being addressed in a timely matter. In the meantime, this vehicle has a potentially very dangerous problem.

Takata recall .mercedes has sent 2 letters indicating death may occur from defective airbags.defect is even more serious for us because we are on a blood thinner and bleeding caused by defect could not be stopped. Dealer indicates that car may not be sold or driven.mercedes should either correct defect or provide a replacement car until defect is corrected.the nyt article yesterday indicates that most other car companies, including bmw, do provide replacement cars.mercedes' stonewalling is outrageous particularly in light of thier decision to save a few bucks and put the purchasers at risk.mercedes chose to be a cheapskate and should now suffer the consequences, not us innocent purchasers. The mercedes telephone hotline is inoperative...they claim to be busy and never answer.the recording also, contrary to the letters, claims that there is no danger?which is correct? - the letters or the recording?if it is the letters, then the recording would seem to be a lie and mercedes should be punished for that.the nhsta should be fining mercedes for their stonewalling and demand that they fix the defect or provide a replacement.

I have received a letter from mercedes benz usa, dated december 2017, informing me (again) that the driver's side airbag is on recall, but that no part is yet available for replacement.i am to be notified when part becomes available.the problem is that i live on kaua'i and the nearest authorized mercedes dealer is mercedes benz of honolulu.it would cost me several hundred dollars to have the car barged to and from honolulu and would be a great inconvenience as both i and my spouse are disabled.i would request that i (and other mb owners on the island) receive the part when it becomes available and take it to the on-island garage that handles repairs of mercedes and other such vehicles, as there is no local dealer.

Takata recallthis mercedes recall was initiated in june 2016 and priority was given to older cars in warmer climates. We live in florida and we have a 2011 e350 convertible. Todays date is aug 4th 2018 over two years later, several missed deadlines have come and gone with vague excuses about airbag availability.when is the nhtsa going to intervene?i just called my local orange park mb dealership and was told maybe by december the airbags will arrive. Sorry, i just do not believe them based on their track record. What if the air bag goes off and my wife and 11yr old son are killed?this is a life threatening issue, basically the cars could kill the drivers.surely this is what nhtsa is setup for?does this agency have any powers to act and protect consumers?please do something before more people die.[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Takata recall nothing has happened yet?the problem is ido not want to wait for evidence of serious injury to myself or my passengers. Why are they not required to replace your vehicle knowing your driving a defective car?

As of mid december 2017, the mercedes benz of white plains cailms the air bag issue is not resolved yet. Waiting on recall for a very long time so that airbags can be corrected

Takata recall. I keep getting notices to call my dealer for a free replacement.it has been several years and the one and only dealer on this island has not received any replacement airbags to date. I want a replacement

Takata airbag recall

Takata recall, it has been an extremely long time to get my airbag replaced and i am afraid of driving my car because of the possibility of having the airbag inflate and have metal fragments deployed at my (driver) or my passengers faces.

Takata airbag recalli received the first letter in the mail on may, 2016 explaining to me that all mercedes-bens 2005 ' 2014 where part of the takata airbag recall and mercedes would be working with the nhtsa to remedy the problem. Also, they told me another letter would arrive notifying me i could bring my vehicle to my local dealership. A few month later l received a postcard telling me to go on the internet to update my information. Then a year and a half later on december, 2017 i received the second letter telling me my vehicle is part of priority group 4 and replacement parts won't be available until march 31, 2018. On january, 2018 i receive the third letter telling me my vehicle is now being moved to priority group 6 and replacement parts won't be available until september 30, 2018. On january, 2019 a year since i received the last letter i went on to https://www.mbusa.com/recall and i put in my information and the website told me the part availability is expected for july, 2019. I feel mercedes doesn't want to actually fix the problem since they still have to pay their employees time and labor for a job that is free. In addition, i'm afraid to let anyone else drive my vehicle since i feel unsafe driving the vehicle myself. Also, my grandson had this same problem with his toyota rav-4 2004 he got the letter in the mail called a local dealership; they immediately set him up with an appointment because the lady on the phone said it had to be done asap. That weekend my grandson brought his vehicle in and they fixed it within a couple of hours. Almost three years later february 9, 2016 ' january 15, 2019 mercedes still hasn't fixed my airbag and i feel they are treating my situation as no big deal. Lastly, if mercedes never fixes the airbag i might not be able to ever sell my vehicle when the time comes since i still have the faulty takata airbag installed.

Still no parts available; it's been years. Takata even sent a notice they were filing bankruptcy and in the same postcard said you can get your airbag replaced but that is not true. Per mercedes, parts not yet available, even in the high-risk (high humidity) areas like where i am. Unreal!

Takata recalli contacted mercedes benz of naples (florida) (239) 227-2622, after receiving a "legal notice for owners of vehicles with takata airbag inflators" and they said "there is nothing we can do" because they do not have the parts. How do i get the parts replaced in a timely manor?

Takata recall. My complaint is almost 3 years open recall and they cant just replace the air bag module.

Takata recall, i have a 2011 mb that i have received a recall on for replacement.this was received in february 2019, and here it is sept 19 and nothing has been done.i depend on this car daily for business and driving usage, but recently read where a person was hurt from this issue.i have clients, family, and friends who ride in this vehicle.i have no replacement nor time frame of repair.my complaint is that my vehicle has been sidelined for repair and it should be replaced by mb or takata.i am screwed and no one cares!i have recall paperwork from mb.the car is unsellable, untradeable and undriveable due to safety.what am i supposed to do?this is unconscionable and mb should replace my vehicle at sticker price!

I was coming out of the parking garage.i proceeded to the entrance to garage.the street was narrow for two cars to pass by.i made aright turn from the garage exit to the narrow street with 5 mph speed. There were two cars about 25 feet away already on that street. Those two cars were waiting to make a left or right turn on main street at the t junction. Suddenly my car accelerated to 45 mph approximately.i applied the brake but the brake did not even slow down the car. With the brake not working and the car accelerating very fast, the car became out of control.i was approaching the cars in front of me.in order to avoid hitting the cars in front of me, i steered my car to the left of these two cars.i went fast beyond these two cars and came on the main road. I noticed a car was coming close from theright side which would have hit my car.at the same time, i noticed that on the lane on left side there was no car in close vicinity. To protect other cars hitting my car, i steered my car to the left lane and drove my car over the curb. The car went over the curb and hit a street electric pole.the curb and the pole stopped the car. The middle section of the front of my car hit the pole.the impact of sudden stop destroyed the front middle part of the car and also shattered the glass windshield.the air bag did not deploy. Upon my insisting, mercedes benz checked the car for sudden acceleration and brake failure. They told us that nothing was malfunctioning in my car. I do not trust them: so i seek your help in this investigation for sudden acceleration and brake failure as they did not find the cause of car malfunctioning.i was taken to emergency for treatment in an ambulance.i missed several days from office. I am still physically hurting on neck/shoulders and continue to take prescription pain killers; but lucky to be living.

Takata recall:the front driver's airbag in my car is under recall from a notice i received from mercedes-benz on 2/11/2016.i have still not received a fix from mb on my airbag as of 10/27/2017.i am concerned i could be hurt or killed if my airbag goes off.

Gas odor from left rear wheel,

Car wouldn't start. Light came on when i attempted to start the car but it wouldn't come on. Diagnosis found that it's due to a very common problem with mercedes benz e class cars-a failed electronic ignition switch (eis). Ignition switch and key must be replaced. I was told that the cost will be $2,103 and it will take up to 10 days to repair (car was towed 3 days ago). This cost does not include costs for a rental car.

On two occasions (once from a stop and once while moving at 30 mph) i have pressed the gas pedal to the floor to accelerate quickly and the car has malfunctioned.both times the electronic stability control immediately becamedisabled, the esc warning indicator lights came on, and the engine stopped responding to my pressing the gas pedal.i was able to maintain forward movement but i could not accelerate.i could press the pedal to the floor without the rpm gauge needle moving. There was a real danger of being hit from behind when this happened because i was slowing down unexpectedly.i pulled to the side of the road, turned off the car, and restarted if after about 6 seconds.once i restarted everything returned to normal.i have never had a car in which i lose the ability to control speed by pressing the gas too hard.i am told it is some type of "safety" feature to protect the transmission ("limp home mode") but i find it to be very dangerous.i would rather destroy a transmission and have the car respond to my commands then have a computer decide to turn off the accelerator while i am driving and risk a rear end collision.i see some similar comments about this on the intranet for mercedes.

The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 49,000.

1. Oil leak from the oil cooler assembly in the diesel engine. Obviously, a cheap gasket was used to seal it! mb, with diesel experience of over 80 yrs, should know by now what material they use in their diesel engine. This defect will develop in every car they made in the same way and they should recall the cars and correct the issue2. The driver seat is torn along the tuft in the seat.this is happening across the board ion all mb cars using the same materials. Again, it is a material issue and should be corrected. Old mb seats lasted for decades!

Rear main engine oil seal on the mercedes-benz e350 bluetec fail after 90,000 miles, the problem is that the engine has not been broken in yet and it's leaking from the rear main engine oil seal. This is a $1300.00 plus fix and i should not be experiencing on $50,000.00 automobile with less that 200,000 miles on it. Mercedes-benz should be fixing this problem at their expense not mine.

Adblue heater/senor for the emission control on the 2011 mercedes-benz e350 bluetec fail after 80,000 miles the problem with the system is that it starts a count down which is displayed on the dash to how many starts are left before the car completely shuts down and will not start because of a heater/senor. So here i am held captive by the number of starts i have left to get the car to a dealership to correct the problem. My problem with this is a $50,000.00 plus car shouldn't be shutting down for a emission control system.

After filling my car with gasoline, i noticed a strong swell of gasoline in my garage when i parked my car. I had never experienced the smell of gasoline in my garage after filling up my gas tank in the past.i left the car in the garage for awhile, but returned to a stronger smell of gasoline. I took the car to mercedes-benz of beverly hills in california for inspection and diagnosis. The service advisor informed me that the fuel filter sensor was bad, and it may be covered under the manufacture's free recall due to a faulty fuel filter sensor. The service advisor informed me that he had numerous customers with cars needing repair recently for fuel leak related malfunctions. He also stated that he had a car with a similar problem as mine being worked on the same day i brought my car in for service. The service advisor later called me and stated that my car was not covered under the free recall for the fuel filter sensor, and that it would cost me $1,100.00 to repair the car. The service advisor also stated that my car was not covered under the free recall because it has a medal gas tank instead of a plastic gas tank. What difference does it make whether the gas tank is medal or plastic if the part is defective? i checked out this website and found that several complaints have been filed for the same malfunction with the fuel filter sensor causing gas to leak. I have been a loyal customer of mercedes-benz for the past 12 years (i've owned two mercedes-benz thus far). I will think twice about purchasing another mercedes-benz in the future if they do not honor the free recall for my car for this defective part.

Purchased a 2011 mercedes e350 in 2019, in march 2020 i found out the fuel filter flange is cracked. Furthermore, leaking fuel slowly causing me to be afraid to drive my car because it can catch on fire. Therefore, a recall was issued for this problem in 2012, but now no mercedes dealership is honoring this situation in my area.

Fuel tank was filled until automatic nozzle shut off was activated. Vehicle was driven home approx 3.5 miles and parked in the street. Next day there was a puddle of fuel approx 2 ft x 2 ft on the pavement and under the car, just forward of the right rear tire. I watched for several minutes, and noticed it was still leaking at the rate of one drop approx every 2 mins. Thinking that perhaps a hose between the fill port and fuel tank was leaking, i drove it for approx 15 mins, hoping to utilize enough fuel to lower the level of fuel in the tank and/or hose. I returned home and parked the car again. The car was still dripping fuel at the same rate. I moved the vehicle into my driveway to try to ascertain the source of the leak. I jacked it up, removed the right rear wheel, but still couldn't see the fuel tank clearly. So i also removed the plastic windage panel, which covers the undercarriage of the body from front to rear wheel. It was completely fuel soaked at the rear. I also noticed that the exhaust pipe, a possible source of ignition, is routed directly in back of the fuel tank. I researched this problem on the mercedes forum website, and discovered that a defective fuel filter flange, which eventually cracks and allows fuel to leak and puddle on top of the tank, is a common problem. However, it appears that the "build date" of my particular car (08/10) is not covered by mb campaign 2013020002. Yet, the problem is identical to the vehicles which are covered, and received an extended warranty.

All of a sudden, one day after filling my tank, there's now an overwhelming gas smell present both ~20 feet away from vehicle, and inside the car. It is so bad, i have to leave windows down for 20-30 minutes while driving before the environment becomes tolerable with the windows up. I have read that other similar e350 models have this problem, but my newer (2011) year model doesn't appear to be on the extended warranty repair list. I believe i have exactly the same issue others have described because the smell of gas is very strong after a top-off, and gets gradually better, becoming much less noticeable as fuel tank level approaches 1/2 tank and below.

Strong smell of gasoline noticeable in the interior and around the exterior of the vehicle when parked after a recent refueling.there was not a gasoline spill when refueling, nor is there any evidence of a fuel spill in the driveway

The stated vehicle developed strong gas fume smell after fill-ups a few months back at around 36000 miles. Unfortunately we left on vacation and later to our second home and missed getting to the dealer before our 7 years extended warranty was over in nov. 2017. We returned home for the holidays and everytime we fill the tank the same odor reappears making it nauseating in our garage not to mention probably dangerous. I called mbusa and was told it isn't under warranty (funny mine just expired) and to take it to the dealer for an estimate. This is a vehicle that after its 3rd year has hardly been used driving less than 7000 miles in the last 4 years, and that has always been gargae kept. My search in the web has shown a lot of similar issues with mercedes benz vehicles, however mbusa told me not mine. This is a serious and dangerous issue that i'm affraid could cause serious damage or bodily injury including death should a spark happen in my garage. Again from my search it appears mercedes benz has had similar issues and perhaps hasn't found a complete solution.

After filling up the gas tank, there was a strong fuel odor in and around the vehicle.the dealership diagnosed the problem as a defective fuel sending unit/pump top cover.

The contact owns a 2011 mercedes-benz e350c. The contact believed fuel was leaking from the fuel tank. He stated that he could smell a fuel odor both outside and inside the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact drove to mercedes-benz of marin (540 francisco blvd w, san rafael, ca 94901, 415-233-6509) to be diagnosed, but no defects were found. The fuel odor continued after the inspection. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 61,000.

Strong smell of fuel after refueling the vehicle, inside and outside the vehicle.appears to be similar to issues related to the 2003-2009 model years previously investigated by nhtsa and closed in december 2014.

When filling up the gas tank, there is a strong gasoline smell inside and outside the car. Mercedes has extended the warranty on previous years and other models but has not extended the warranty to 15 years for this defect to the 2011 e350.

Strong smell of gasoline detected.repair technician identified a fuel tank leak and stated other mercedes effected by the issue.i call mbusa who said they have no recalls or warranty extensions on this make, model and year.

Gas odor from left rear wheel,

My mercedes benz 2011 e350 smelled like raw gas inside the drivers compartment apparently it was a leak from the top of the gas tank, my daughters 2010 c300 also justwent in for the same problem leaking from the gas tank and even soaked the rear seat cushion, even though they repaired it i am worried that it could happen again especially if the parts replaced were not updated, it smelled up my garage and i fear if it leaks again it could start a fire in my garage, please advise. It appears it happens especially when you fill up the gas tank

The contact owns a 2011 mercedes-benz e350. After fueling the vehicle, the contact noticed a very strong fuel odor. The vehicle was taken to an authorized independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was a leak in the fuel tank. The vehicle was not repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that they could not assist because the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 12v557000 (fuel system, gasoline). We recently filled the gas tank with fuel and noticed a strong fuel odor as if someone spilled gas on the floor in the garage. I proceeded to investigate where the smell was coming from around the car and noticed that it was strongest on the passenger rear of the vehicle. I checked on line and noticed similar issues with the fuel tank on other mercedes models. I proceeded to remove the rear seat and access cover to the fuel tank "sending unit or fuel pump" i'm not sure of the correct terminology, and sure enough there was a puddle of gas on top of the fuel tank apparatus. I proceeded to carefully soak up the gas with a rag and when i did i could see gas slowly seeping out of the cracks on the unit. I will be taking the vehicle to the mercedes dealer tomorrow.i noticed the recall did not cover my vehicle as it was built in july of 2010 which is a few months before the 2011 e -class extended recall. I hope the dealer will work with me as i consider this a serious issue that should be resolved professionally and promptly.

Strong gas odor after filling and for few days took it for repair find the sending unit cover leaking it had filled the cover and part of the tank.the odor was on and of about six months ago but only it was getting worse lately and needed repair. I think mercedes company should take this safety issue seriously before major ....

The vehicle intermittently shifts itself from drive to park while moving forward while decelerating at slow speeds (approximately under 5 mph.) there is a sudden jerk, and everyone / everything in the car is thrown forward as the vehicle jumps to a dead stop. This is quite dangerous and further, can probably cause rapid deterioration of the vehicle.the issue was first presented in january 2017 to the mercedes dealership in reno, nv who could not duplicate the problem, but charged ~$140 for the analysis.they stated that there was no record with mb of such an issue. They also stated that if the issue was later found and repaired, the dealership would credit the evaluation costs.during a trip to salt lake city this week the problem reoccurred several times and i scheduled an appointment at the slc mercedes dealership(ken garff). At today's appointment (3/29/17), the assistant service manager told me that they couldn't duplicate the problem.however, they found a description of this exact issue in the mb database and have a recommended fix.unfortunately, that fix is over $800 and mercedes will not take and financial responsibility for repairing this, as it is not a "recall."this is most upsetting, as i view the sudden stopping and transmission change while moving as a safety and a longevity issue for the vehicle.i am planning on taking the vehicle in this week to mb slc and having the prescribed repairs completed. Further, i believe that mercedes-benz should be responsible both ethically and financially for resolving this engineering defect.

Electronic transmission : oct. 29, 2015. My car was parked in the garage. I opened the tailgate, put something into the trunk, pushed the electric button and the tailgate closed. I got into the car, started the engine, and the tailgate popped open. I backed up to clear the garage, stopped the car on my flat driveway, and put the transmission in park. I opened the door, walked around to the back of the vehicle, pushed the button again, and stood there watching the tailgate close, for good measure.when it locked, the car popped out of park into reverse (not neutral); drove into me and pinned me against the building fracturing my left leg, until neighbors heard me screaming, ran out, got into the car, and drove it off me. As i startedup last weeki am receiving a pre-safe srs inoperative message - i called the dealer and i feel with this being a safety feature i should not have be charged for the diagnostic, but i did on june 19.turns out its the seat belt mechanism that needs to be replaced andits going cost me close to 500. If i don't get the work done in 30 days, my 190.00 goes to waste- years ago, in my acura my seat belt broke, it was replaced at no charge due to it being safety equipment- i don't want to pay until it is confirmed it should be no charge.

Whywas i charged 190.00 to diagnose a safety feature, then in order to not lose my money, i had it replaced because the message was driving me crazy. For 302.61i notified your team and i have no heard anything from anyone. I have also been in contact with mb usa...for all i know, the sensor may have been reset. They are no help either...i wasn't looking for a recall or a campaign. My acura seat belt wouldn't retractwas replaced for free some time a go. And there was no recall

Passenger seat harness went out. No power to seat will not move safety concern for crash

The airbag in the headrest, just notice it was lose, no accident or anything took car to dealer the car is under factor warranty and was told i had to pay for it. Also there was water coming inside of my car, took it to the dealer. They said the sun roof was clogged again my car is under factory warranty, they stated it is possibly a recall, the part was 32.00 and the labor was 458.00. I park in a garage, car only have 57,000 miles and i have to pay for it.

I was driving down the road on layton ave and 43rd street, and out of nowhere the headrests of the vehicle exploded, pushing my neck forward.granted i went over a hole not that big, but the explosion was so drastic that it pushed my seat forward and my neck is now sore and tender from the impact.i am really scare now that this can happen anywhere. I called mercedes benz dealership and they said that they want me to bring the car so the can reset the system.i don't like that idea, because i got this car brand new and now the value really change.i don't feel safe in it anymore.i don't think mercedes is willing to take the car back either.should i follow a lawsuit?i have 5 months left on this lease but anything can happen with this car now since already showed some malfunction.headrests are supposed to popped out only if you are rear ended.

Excessive steering wheel vibration when braking from 50-40mph. Told by a dealer that all brake rotors rusted and will have to be replaced at my expense (estimated $1200). Creates unsafe driving environment, known problem on 2010-2012 e350/e550, yet mb refuses to acknowledge the problem.

The steering wheel locks up while driving so that you can't turn the wheel.the column says it is in neutral but you still can't turn the wheel.you have to turn off the car and restart it to be able to turn the wheel.it randomly occurs without warning. It occurs on city streets and on the highway.it has occurred while driving straight. Various speeds. Took it to the mercedes dealer on february 27, 2019 and they could not identify the problem. It has occurred approximately 5 times in the past 2 months.

My vehicle is a 2011 e350 mercedes all a & b service from the same dealership parkplace mercedes. We are currently in a pandemic so i start my vehicle and drive it around once or twice a week. I stays in a sheltered parking garage area and last week i started my car drove up to my building ran in to get some gloves because i was going to store and when i returned to my vehicle it would not start.parkplace mercedes service called back and stated they had to order the part and it would be here in 1-2 days and cost would be $1691 for new esl part & labor. I asked the service asst manager how much was the part and he told me $447. I called the parts department to see how much the part was and i was told $544 and only mercedes could do the job and parts are in stock. A bit confused i called and spoke with the parkplace manager off lemmon ave in dallas and i was told he was unsure if program key could be actioned by a after market dealer but would check and let me know. The asst manager called back and i advised of my confusion and he advised he would seek answers and call me back. I received a call back from the asst manager and was advised the 2 that was in stock was for 2 other vehicles that was having the same issue. My question is how is it legal for mercedes to advise they can only do the work on a vehicle i own? and addition if i were to get an after market shop to do the work and they have the equipment to reprogram the key, why can i not go to another shop? is this information available in the manual in mercedes service books? this should be a easy recall because the technicians are not troubleshooting to see if the motor that is inside the esl can be replaced. I know it's a pandemic and revenue is at an all time low but lying to customers is not the correct approach. I sent an email and requestedtroubleshooting of esl of my vehicle. It could be a quick fix.

Gas odor from left rear wheel,

Panoramic roof area is constantly popping loudly during driving across unlevel and uneven surfaces.the sound is very loud and startling causing me to abruptly swerve or break.the repair shop is able to reproduce the noise and stated:"origin of noise 42180-42185, noise from center panoramic roof; cross support mounting bar bolts loose, headliner needs to be dropped and bolts tightened).i was also warned the sunroof could loosen to the point that the glass could fall out causing a dangerous road hazard!

While entering onto the southern state parkway in long island n.y., going about 45 mph, for reasons not known my sunroof completely shattered. My sunroof was completely closed at the time.

My 2011 e350 soft convertible top is leaking hydraulic fluid from the pistons and the flexible tubing running through the soft top roof (drivers side) to the locking mechanism which secures it to the windshield is developing a serious kink that will likely fail soon and leak fluid into the interior of the vehicle. Definitely a poor design as the lines do not have a flex joint at the hinge point to allow for repeated bending during operation of the top. I believe it to be a bad design / premature failure and should be a recall item paid for my mercedes benz.

While driving my 2011 mercedes benz e coupe on october 23, 2017 on the highway, the panorama roof exploded and shattered with nothing hitting the roof glass. It was a terrifying experience and almost lost control of the vehicle. Luckily i nor my passenger were hurt. I have been reading online that such incidents are happening quite often.what is being done by the dealerships? they are telling me that repairs are not covered. I only have 31,000 miles on the vehicle and this should not be happening on any car, especially on a $62,000 dollar car.

The contact owns a 2011 mercedes benz e350. The contact stated that the vehicle would accelerate independently when at a stop sign. The brake pedal was depressed in order to stop the vehicle. The failure recurred several occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 38,000.

Submission from constituent re acceleration issue with 2011 e350 blue tech mercedes benz.the consumer stated the vehicle did not respond to accelerator input.the problem was intermittent.

The contact owns a 2011 mercedes benz e350a. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 mph, the contact crashed into a deer and the air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. I own the car for about three years. So far i had to replace 7 tires, mercedes is saying that the problem are the roads in michigan. These tires are low profile tires, i do not fill safe to drive the car. My understanding is that many owners have the same problem. I guess i was lucky to buy tire and wheee insurance. I am 66 years old and had many cars but i have not have these kinde of tire problems.

This vehicle from mercedes-benz, in particular 2011 e350 4matic with 18in wheels does not meet certain standards of quality and durability and poses a serious safety concern.my vehicle has all 4 wheels dented and cracked from roads with normal to minor road surface abnormalities.the wheels on this car is not safe and does not meet the quality standards expected, they cannot support the weight of the car under normal driving conditions.these wheels easily dent and crack and can lead to a driver losing control of there vehicle.i have so far experienced 3 flats over the course of 1.5 years that could have resulted in an accident.the dealer repaired dented wheels and soon after, the wheels were damaged again.the steering continues to vibrate at highway speeds and pulls slightly to one side because of the severity of the damaged wheels.there are many others customer with this vehicle that have similar complaints about the wheel quality and even the dealer is aware that this is an issue but states its a manufacturer defect and nothing they can do.as of now i have been to the dealer 3 times to inspect the wheels and repair the damages which they are not covering.i drive another vehicle, 2011 infiniti m, which has larger 20in wheels and it's been driven through the same roads with not one issue at all with the wheels.after driven the car for about 2 years, the infiniti still drives with no vibrations and wheels that are in excellent condition. If the wheels from mercedes-benz cannot handle the weight and oem tire that comes from the factory, then there is a problem with the quality and reliability of the vehicle.
