Takata inflateshave not received recall notice for my vehicle which is included with this recall.

I just purchased a vehicle from a private party and we kept communicating for about 4-5 days. During that time the seller claimed he was the 2nd owner and that was great.then he posted pictures and videos of the car in a video and it looked in perfect condition. Then after driving 3 1/2 hours to meet the seller and he lied about the year of vehicle.the damages were far beyond shown on the video and pictures.then the major issue was that there was an warning light stating the driver srs needs to be serviced,i asked the seller mohummed. What this is and he said its the seat belt buckle and it something i can find in the trash can.also there was severe oxidation on the roof and he was not willing to change the price at all.then when i asked him how many owners had this vehicle and he says he's the second owner and i was very suspicious because this car will of had 7 owner after me,i did call him and he claimed he told me that the airbags don't work!!!i was very upset due to the fact we have a child and the care has 2 stage airbags and he didn't service anything himself everything else's was from the previous owners.he simply beat it up and then sold it.the biggest issues besides scratches and dents, it's clean in the interior however he didn't mention aairbag not working and i specifically asked him what going on with this airbag warning and he simply said it goes away and you don't have worry about it its nothing serious.... When i figured it all out and spoke via by phone 2 days after the purchase he didn't even have a contract or bill of sale. I want the airbage replaced or he can give me my money back and we can end it at that point.my phone: [xxx] seller:([xxx]) :[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The airbags on the right side of the car self exploded.

I was driving my mercedes e350 on i-95 north bound somewhere near philadelphia. My family including my wife and my two sons were also on the car. Somehow, all of sudden, the vehicle was not under control, which is, the vehicle quickly slowed down and despite the fact that i kept pressing the gas pedal, the vehicle did not move (i believe that the engine was shut down for some reason). I had to use hazard signals to warn the vehicles of the drivers behind me. Meanwhile, my son advised me to press the sos button of my vehicle. Fortunately some drivers noticed that my vehicle was not moving and some of them help me switch the transmission to neutral and helped push my vehicle to the road side. We also got help from police officers to escort my family members to the nearby train station and my vehicle was towed to the service department of ray catena, edison, nj, where i purchased the vehicle. The service adviser asked me to pay $135 for them to examine what was wrong with the vehicle.my concern is that mercedes e350 is supposed to be a car with good and safe quality, so why did it happen to my vehicle. I always have my car maintained by mercedes service department on a scheduled basis. I (and my family members)could have gotten killed that day. I also worry that after the vehicle is repaired, the same or similar situation could happen again.so please advise what i should do with this event.thank you.

Our 2009 mercedes e350 has only 39,574 miles on it.on october 26, 2016, the check engine light came on, the vehicle started shaking, and there was no power when accelerating.it was towed to the mercedes dealership in arcadia, ca.we were told by the dealership that the cam adjuster was defective and would need to be replaced at a cost of $2,671.because the car has been driven for less than 40,000 miles, we asked the dealership's service and parts director if mercedes would stand behind the quality of their products and help us with the safety issue.he told us to call the mercedes customer service at 800-222-0100.an "executive referral manager" named irene gave us a call and said that the offer from mercedes was a 15% discount.based on our previous experience, that is the standard discount mercedes gives for its service in cases which do not involve a defective part.irene told us there was no further discount being offered by mercedes.a search revealed a class action lawsuit filed against mercedes benz usa in the united states district court - northern district of california case no. 12-cv-05493 (teh) for persons who have purchased or leased mercedes-benz vehicles model years 2005-2007 equipped with m272 or m273 engines.the suit was settled by mercedes with the plaintiffs who alleged a defect in balance shaft sprockets in m272 (v-6) engines that cause the gears to wear prematurely.the plaintiffs contend that mercedes-benz usa, llc ("mbusa") had a duty to disclose this information to consumers at the time they purchased their vehicles.based on this conduct, plaintiffs allege claims for violations of the new jersey consumer fraud act, california's consumer legal remedies act and unfair competition law.we believe that this is a safety problem in some e350s which mbusa knows about and that they should repair it for public safety reasons.

I have noticed strong gasoline odors emanating from my car after refueling. I do not 'top off' when refueling. Researched issue online at benzworld.org and discovered that the gas odor issue i am experiencing may be related to a problem being seen in numerous mercedes benz e-model vehicles. This presents a very unsafe situation and i am no longer willing to park the vehicle in my garage due to the potential fire hazard. The pooling of raw gasoline also represents an environmental issue due to the evaporation and creation of toxic fumes. I understand that mercedes benz dealers are demanding $2,000. Or more to rectify the problem by removing and replacing the gas tanks in impacted vehicles. I feel that the manufacturer of this defective component should be held responsible to recall it and replace it. I understand that the nhtsa's current investigation action no. For this issue is pe 12001.

Strong odor of gas at rear and around car after filling up gas tank while in motion and when parked

Serious smell of gasoline during and after refuelling. Occurs while stationary.

Very strong odor of fuel while car is parked in garage. Dealer says recall does not cover my particular model.

I am having an issue with my e350 (09), every time i fill up my tank i can smell the gas. I don't smell it inside the car but outside the car and it is strong. It is really strong that you thought the gas spilled. Once the gas goes down to like 3/4 of a tank the odor will be gone. I tried tracing where the gas odor is coming from and i think it is under the fender on the rear driver side.

I contactedthe dealership regarding my fuel pump issue. The dealership informed me that it was not one of the covered vin's with the fuel pump issues. It has strong smell of gas when filling up and does not run smooth . It has not started once when turned on.i was informed by my mechanic of the warranty on the defective fuel pump/filter. Why wasn't my vin included in the extended warranty?were their changes made to the parts? how was my car excluded from the warranty process?

When i was filling up the fuel completely, i had a smell of fuel from the back when i parked the car, so i tracked the car and found the fuel drops coming down from the left side in the back, so i stopped the car and took it home and i checked the transmitter unit in the back seat as a mechanical engineer, and i found fuel leaking from the top of the transmitter unit, when i asked about this problem, i found that there is a 15-year guarantee on this subject and i added some evidence that supports the problem, including some customer complaints, and a response to them by the maintenance departmentim living in saudi arabia and for contact me +[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Vehicle has strong external gas oder emanating from the driver's rear passenger side and is more prevelant after fill up and parking it.it is a concern to my safety that gasoline may be leaking and a electrical spark or impact can result in a fire/explosion.

Strong odor of gasoline fumes from car, especially after refueling.fume smell goes away as tank level goes down.brought car tofletcher jones motor cars in newport beach, ca, and they reported a high gas tank fuel leak, with gasoline building up in body behind rear driver's seat.this happens to be where my 8-year old son sits in the car - on top of explosive gasoline.mercedes benz denies there is any problem with the e350 fuel tank, even though there are numerous reported problems.

Gasoline odor is noticed when fuel is added to the fuel tank. It is very noticeable when car is parked in the garage for over 5 minutes after a recent fuel fill. The odor is very strong and has caused household members to have headaches. I am forced to park the car outside due to this odor. I also noticed gasoline spilling on the floor near the fuel tank area.

Gas leaks from gas tank when i fill it up. I can only fill 2/3 of tank to avoid odor. I heard about extended warranty for this problem but benz dealer said my car is not covered because it is made of different material than one that is covered.

At approximately 11:50 a.m. On tuesday, february 11, 2020, i pulled out of our driveway onto spruce dr. Nw, going south and the car immediately started accelerating on its own, careening down spruce dr. Nw. I was desperately trying to miss parked cars on the street but my car was moving faster and faster, out of control through the intersection at the end of my block. Then my car was flying through the air, between 25-40 mph, slamming into a creek bank and ending on the driver side down a 30 foot ravine at the end of spruce drive nw. I was trapped inside the car with my seat belt on and according to the police report the side airbag had deployed. Thankfully, i did not hit any cars! it was truly a miracle that i was alive and that my neighbors heard and saw the crash. Within five minutes the metropolitan police department who were stationed at the mayor's house around the corner arrived and with my neighbors were able to pull me from the wreckage through the sunroof. Apparently the glass sunroof had popped open/off during the crash. The crash happened about 11:53 a.m. Shortly thereafter, i was taken by ambulance to a trauma center in a local hospital. Fortunately i only had minor bruises but the trauma center staff gave me a thorough check-up. And no one else was involved in the crash.

Driver heated seat burst into a fire with heat seat warmer on

On thursday afternoon, october 1 the driver's seat of my 2009 e350w mercedes benz burst into flames while i was driving.the heat and flames from the fire burned my shirt.my left side was also burned. Since i was traveling at 35 mph, i was able to pull over safely, leap from the car and put out the fire.it was only by god's grace that i avoided a serious accident with life threatening injuries and possibly fatalities.i immediately called the beverly hills mercedes benz service center to alert them of the problem. I had the car towed to the service center friday morning.a loaner car was not available so i rented a car from hertz. Today carlos muedano, service advisor, said i would be billed $1,500 for repairs. This car has 37,770 miles on the odometer, roughly 6,000 miles per year or 500 miles per month.it is basically a new car.in december 2014 beverly hills mercedes charged $1,000 for repairs to the trunk wiring system. Possibly these electrical system problems and repairs contributed to the electrical problem in the driver's seat heating unit which caused the fire?there have also been numerous complaints online about fires linked to the seat heating elements in mercedes benz cars.in fact there is currently a class action suit over this particular problem.i am terribly disappointed in mercedes benz. I purchased the mercedes benz product expecting highest quality and best customer service. You have failed on both counts.i have not received any notice from mercedes benz on a recall to check and repair defective seat heaters.

As driving noticed strong smell of smoke.then noticed smoke coming from left side drivers seat.as i pulled over hole burned in seat and sparks and flames poured out from burning hole in seat.

The contact owns a 2009 mercedes-benz e350 wagon. While the contact's spouse was driving approximately 35 mph, the driver's side heated seat caught fire. The vehicle was taken to mercedes-benz of alexandria (200 s pickett st, alexandria, va 22304, (703) 341-2100) where it was diagnosed that the wire to the seat warmer element fractured and caused an electrical short. The seat was not replaced. The contact stated that the dealer was awaiting a response as to whether or not the seat would be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,160.

I received safety recall # 2020040011.i made an appointment at beverly hills mercedes for 9/23/20 at 10:00am.(per letter sent to me by mercedez benz.(nhtsa recall #19v918).the service man (i believe his name was tamir)told me they had no loaner for me and that 95% of the time they will do nothing regarding their recalls.i was stunned at such unprofessional and unethical behavior from a mercedez dealer.i told him to give me my car back and why did they make my appointment if they are not going to honor the safety committments in good faith.

Due to leaking rear air suspension, rearof vehicle drops so that body of car restsd on rear tires. Vehicle in motion

My wife was driving at low speed on a smooth road when the driver's-side front spring broke with a loud bang and that corner of the vehicle collapsed, fully compressing the shock absorber. We were fortunate that the car was being driven slowly: the broken end could have cut the tire, blowing it out. At high speed, it could have been hard to control the car because of unequal camber. On a sharp turn, the fender lip would have dropped onto the tire, severely damaging the fender or blowing out the tire. Mercedes was previously required to recall the same model for rear air suspension failure because when the rear of the vehicle drops, nhtsa says, "...the driver may have reduced vehicle control, increasing risk of a crash." i say that front suspension failure is more dangerous. After towing to the mercedes dealer, the service advisor called the broken spring a "maintenance item." he claimed this failure at 92,000 miles in a 10-year-old car is not surprising. The full price to replace the spring and damaged shock absorber and align the car was $1,345 and the dealer deducted a $300 discount after i complained. This was a potentially catastrophic failure of a part that should last the life of the car. I read that this model is prone to this failure. I've driven 500,000 miles during the past 50 years, mostly in cars purchased used, with one reaching 250,000 miles, and i previously hadn't heard of broken coil springs. I stated that mercedes should take responsibility for a dangerous failure; that we purchased the car as a certified used car from a mercedes dealer when it was only four-years-old at 50,000 miles and it has been inspected and serviced per mercedes at mercedes dealers since purchase. I believe this car should have been recalled, prior to the failure, for a tendency of the front coil springs to break.

Called mercedes corporate re this problem and they deined there is a recal. Not truemercedes-benz usa is recalling 2007-2009 e350 4matic wagons warns the u.s. National highway traffic safety administration. About 3,600 of the e350 wagons have a load leveling rear suspension system that may fail, reducing a driver's control and increase the risk of a crash, says nhtsa.in august, the company is expected to begin notifying owners of 2007-2009 mercedes-benz e350 cars affected by this recall. Bought a cpo car from mb west chester, pa and immediately noticed front tire(s) making thud sound that is more noticeable at 25-30 mps; although at higher speeds the thud sound continues.dealer says tire treads are only worn 30%, but recommended new tires (which were supposed to be on the car!!).manufacturer says it sounds like a flat spot on the tire.i even paid for extra warranty and still dealer will not replace tire.very concerned for safety based on posts of blow-outs, etc.it's amazing that truck tires have been replaced for the same reasons, but not car tires.

We bought 2009 mb e-350 w/sport package which has amg wheels on it. Car has currently 3k miles on it. When my wife was driving, suddenly wheel material pop-out from the middle of the base (18" width) and cause sudden loss of air. Please note that there is no damage to tire (like hole, impact on the area where wheel damaged). We believe that wheel has material/design defect because wheel normally very solid hard to pop-out like this. Even dealer or no-one has seen this kind of incident. My wife is pregnant and she was driving this vehicle and now she is scared to drive this vehicle due to incident. We believe that due to safety of us and for others who are using mb w/amg wheels needs to be examine. If require, i can provide pictures of the wheel and tire.
