We were notified of this recall 3 years ago and we still have not been able to get the recall repairs made.we are on the waiting list with our dealership. We are now being told no remedy is available so we must continue to drive with this dangerous condition.

The manufacturer was not notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available/parts distribution disconnect.
Takata recall - i have 2 takata recalls (driver and passenger) on myehicle and i have received no updates in over 2 years about the status of when they will be available to replace. Every time i ask mercedes dealership about when the takata air bags will be available, they have given me no information. The dealership (both the mercedes at tysons corner va and bethesda md euro motors) only tell me that someone from takata will notify me whenthey are available.

Takata recall: i received a notice of recall # 16v-08, stating that a defective driver's side airbag could rupture and cause serious injury or death in my 2009 mercedes-benz c350. After contacting the manufacturer, i was told that the replacement parts are unavailable and that the wait for recall repairs will be considerable. Meanwhile i'm left driving a car that can seriously injure or kill me in the event of an airbag deployment. I told the manufacturer's representative that this is unacceptable and asked repeatedly for either a loaner car while waiting for parts, or for mercedes to buy back my car. In no uncertain terms i was told that no such action is possible. Why should i put my life in danger for an unspecified length of time for a defect that mercedes is responsible? all affected owners should be offered no-charge loaners, reimbursement for rental cars or a buy-back of their vehicles.
Takata recall - my complaint is to report the lack of timeliness of repair for 2 manufacturer recalls:#2016020003 and #2016070003.i have contacted the dealers several times and the parts for repair are not available from the manufacturer.i am concerned about the car's safety and lack of information available on when the parts will be available.

Takata recalls, the vehicle steering lock module gave out and the dealership has stop selling the parts for this due to this current unresolved recall having customer go to the dealership for service which is unfair due to extra cost so my vehicle is unable to be driven at all.
Takata recall - we have called alex rodriguez mercedes over 5 times and have taken this vehicle to their service department numerous time. Have asked each time about the recall and replacement of the takata airbags. We get the same answer every time-' as soon as we get the replacement we will call you in to replace. We don't have the supplies right now. ' very frustrating!!
Takata recall - it was reported on february 11, 2016.today is november 7, 2017 and they don't have the replacement parts for my mercedes.almost 2 years.nothing happened yet, but it's somewhat scary knowing that it is dangerous for me to drive with bad airbag.
Takata recall - no remedy in a timely manner. I have a long commute and every day i am in fear for my life, my appearance, and my eyes and other senses being damaged by flying shrapnel. I am an emotional wreck and want this remedied as soon as possible, particularly with how dangerous the roads and drivers are on my commute. Please fix as soon as possible. I'd rather have no airbag than this "time bomb of shrapnel" waiting to go off! how come other car companies are replacing the airbags, but not mercedes?

"takata recall" there are two recalls on the front airbags one issues in february 11, 2016 and the other may 25, 2016.i've taken my car in several times for service and inquired about the recall.as of today the remedy is not available.there is a fault switch with the headlights in off position the left right turn signal flash when the keys are not in the vehicle.it drains the battery which have replaced twice.we determined that if we keep the light switch in automatic position it does not happen.
Takata recallairbag still not replaced
I have been receiving recall letters from mercedes-benz since may 2016 for the driver-side takata air bag and in august 2016 for the passenger takata air bag as well as mail from tk holdings inc, but have not been able to get my air bags replaced. I was told i was in a latter phase and would hear something by march 2018, but have heard nothing.this is very frustrating. I have less than 45,000 miles on my car, meaning lots of life left in the vehicle, but can't drive the car due to the risk of harm and fatality. I do not want to sell my vehicle. I just want to get my air bags replaced, please!

Received the letter of recall #15v711 in december 2015, according to which srs control unit shall be replaced by authorized mb dealer or mbusa within 60 days free of charge, it's march 10th 2016 now, nothing happened, mb didn't make the repair or even contact me.
Cars srs light went on in red on dash after gasing and washing vehicle. Took to nervedes dealer and told srs unit malfunctioning $800 attached diagnoses paid for fix and now there is recall. Will i be reimbursed for this same issue
"takata recall" what purpose does this recall serve if the manufacturer still does not have a "remedy" available? i have 3 benz's, all affected by this recall and for over 1 year the dealer cannot repair due to "no remedy yet avail". So in the meantime, we should drive and pray that something tragic does not occur?
2009 mercedes benz c350 - steering wheel lock / $1400to repair and replace the module. Common issue with the c-class.
Second warning regarding the electrical wiring regarding the front head lamps. The wiring is burning upand it will cause a fire with deadly consequences. This car has had a recall before regarding the wiring of the back stop lights, if nothing is done there will be a fire. The seat (front) covering is peeling off, co. Says its normal. This is my 2nd report and the smoke is getting heavier all the time and it is affecting the computer of the car function. The vehicle is always picking up children with my wife. Very difficult to get photo, but is visible on both sides of the front head lights. There has been no fire yet but there is smoke.
2 years ago manager told me the wiring of the head lamps was melting but he can only replace the whole unit( both). I told him that a car with 30000 mils this should not be happening. Nothing he can do. The car has started to burn on the inside , smoke comes out of the engine. Car transports children. To and from school. Eery other onth lamps burn out, happening since the car was new. Finally went to shop again today and they put it on paper. Wire coating falling apart, causes burn out of lamps. This is ahuge danger and should be recalled not paid by user. Have sent 2 other complaints to nhtsa with no resolution. Why?????additionally car has had tail lamp problems since the beginning with one recall. Additionally the seat cover of the driver side is coming apart in pieces since year 2. How is it possible no action has been taken?
The wiring to the head lambs (both) are burning up, causing a burnt smell in the car, company says to buy new head lamps. The electric wire system in the car has been a problem since the beginning. Evidently the heatin the motor area is to much for the quality of the wiring covers and they cause lamp burn out,and burn the plastic wire covering. Car is used for pleasurehas very few miles.very hard to take a picture , tech had a hard time getting to it.
Rear passenger side tail lights no longer functional.started getting a constant display message to check rear break, fog, and turn signal.first checked for bad fuse.finally went to check the bulb housing and noticed that one of the wires was frayed. The wire was exposed and the wire harness seem to be damaged as well from the heat.the wires are bad and will need to be replaced.
I had to replace the steering lock module which cost nearly $1200. The car has approximately 110,000 km. The car started fine in the morning and was parked for about 20 minutes in the grocery store parking lot. When i returned to the car and tried to start it, it would not crank. The alarm turned off fine, radio and lights worked, instrument cluster read the key and good me to remove it before exiting the vehicle. The transmission and steering wheel were locked in park. The car had to be towed to a dealership where they diagnosed and replaced the steering lock module. I read online and found numerous complaints about the same issues.
A dashboard warning indicator came on, indicating my right rear tail light was not functioning.i opened up the trunk, and located the harness that holds the rear tail lightbulbs.there was a burn mark in the harness that holds the light bulbs.i took the car to my dealership, and they told me the wiring shorted out, and it needs replaced.i have the pdf file that the dealer sent me indicating this is what happened....there is an outstanding nhtsb complaint filed already...http://blogs.automotive.com/nhtsa-probing-mercedes-benz-c-class-for-tail-light-failures-144659.html.
I am attempting to leave office depot parking lot and my car will not start (no problem prior to going into the store!) i put the key in the ignition the lights, radio, dashboard all come on and i hear a clicking sound. However, the power windows don't work, nor the sunroof. After researching most of the night (couldn't rest) and most of the day, it appears to be the electronic ignition switch (eis) which is very costly! and there are tens of thousands of complaints over the span of years!!! the nightmare stories (i had deja vu...exactly the same issue!) defiantly enough complaints about this issue that your organization should open an investigation. A demand for a recall is needed asap!!! price of replacement/repair could be from $1,100 to $2,200....ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The contact owns a 2009 mercedes benz c350. The contact stated that the key failed to start the vehicle after numerous attempts and the steering column did not lock. In addition, certain electrical components, such as the radio, door locks, interior lights, and exterior lights did not function. The take key out of the ignition indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was towed to the dealerwhere it was diagnosed that electronic steering control module malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 113,000.updated 04/07/16*lj
Got home from work parked my car, i would say maybe about 3 hrs later i get on my car to go pick up my son and i wasn't able to turn my car on. My keyfob worked fine when i unlocked and locked the vehicle but when i would insert the keyfob in the ignition i was able to turn the key all the way to the on position. All though it turned in the ignition it wouldn't give the car a crank or any power at all, the radio, windows dashboard, headlights, nothing worked at all, it wouldn't even unlcock my steering coloumn either. Which made it even a bigger hastle to tow the car without being able to turn the steering wheel luckily ii left the wheels straight when i parked my vehicle. I've seen that this issue is common on this mercedes model. If its a common problem mercedes should be able to recall this ignition fault. Theres plenty of reasons why it can be a stressing situation if it happens to anybody, especially not being able to unlock thje steering column. There can be plenty of what if's (what if, u had ur wheels turned, what if your far from home, ur parked in a tight space how are you going to get the car towed, you have an emergency and your car suddenly wont start, at a gas station pumping gas and your car wont start, even after just having dinner at a restaurant) imagine having an issue like this and you are with ypur family its very stressful or everybody. I'm sure its happened to a lot of people but they dont file a complaint or maybe they dont know they can file one. I just hope mercedes can really do something about this issue since is very common on this model 2009 mercedes c350.
Car was parked in a parking lot. I was 120 miles from home when the engine would not start -- even though the battery, lights, stereo, gauges, etc.all worked fine. Still, the engine wouldn't even crank, had car towed to an independent mercedes repair facility (it was a sunday and the local mercedes service department was not open). The electronic ignition switch (eis) and other parts needed to be replaced at a cost of $1526.94. Months later i visited the nhtsa website and learned that this is a common problem with this model of mercedes and that the manufacturer is refusing to pay for the repair. With a problem this widespread -- which can occur multiple times during the life of the car -- mercedes should foot the bill. I would have complained earlier but only now learned that many other owners are experiencing the same defect. My car had only 37,110 milesat the time. I should be reimbursed my mercedes.
Rear light assembly failure due to a melted electrical connector.
Car had ignition switch failure. Steering wheel locked transmission locked in park. Dash lights and door locks operate.car had to be towed to dealer.this has been a large problem with these vehicles for years.there should be a manufactuer recall not a consumer expense.thank you, please help
The contact owns a 2009 mercedes benz c350. While parked, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed to a dealer who diagnosed that the electronic steering box and the electronic ignition switch (eis) needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,000.
Complaint: c-class rear light melting issue. Rear bulb light fail error.reporting a burning smell of melting plastic and failure of rear turn signals and brake lights. I went out on the internet and saw i wasn't the only one this happened to and that the u.s. Safety regulators have opened a probe of an estimated 218,000 mercedes c-class sedans have been reported. I called the mercedes-benz of seattle and everyone that i tried to talk to about this problem didn't acknowledge it at all. Of course i had the it repaired and it cost $541.41 again trying to talk to them about this problem and what i had seen on the internet no one was saying anything which showed me they have been told not to talk about it. I called mercedes corporate office to see if they could to a good will gesture but i was told "no". Add me to the list of complaints. I would like to be reimbursed for this amount so i hope i see a recall come through.
The contact owns a 2009 mercedes benz c350. The contact stated that the vehicle's headlights remained illuminated causing the battery to fail. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that there was a loose wire that needed to be adjusted. The vehicle was repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 30,700.

When i put the key in the ignition it will not turn over no lights display on thedashboard. The radiocuts on and the only thing that displays on the dashboard is the mileage no other lights. When the key is turned to first or second position.the day before when my car would not start i was able to take the key out of the ignition and replace it in the car started right up this time it does nothing. I'm being told it's an esl steering wheel lock issue that is common to this car model.
When to get my car waxed for the weekend. Got home parked the car and when my wife and i were ready to go out the car wouldn't start. Dash lights, radio, ect were working but the ignition wouldn't start. I can hear clicks from the engine n the steering was locked. Bag ignition steering lock. $1,900 to fix haven't been able to move the car until i come up with the money to fix it! common issue from all 2008 & 2009 mercedes w204 c class! & no recall.

The contact owns a 2009 mercedes-benz c350. While driving various speeds, the driver side tail light failed to work and various indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was previously serviced under nhtsa campaign number: 14v177000 (exterior lighting) in 2013, but the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The contact stated that the driver side tail light failed after the vehicle had been repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000.

My tail lights started to going in and out. When i went to check the bulbs all bulbs are good and there is burn marks on the casing hold in the bulb and wiring for the passenger side tail lights. There is a short in the tail light wiring.

I have continued to have lighting issues with front, rear, and signal lighting.i am constantly having to pay to replace these lights every year.now my power steering malfunction ebs light has come on.this is just too much.i just paid $1300 for service b and some other things that needed to be replaced.i am tired of always having to pay to replace lights.
Passenger side rear brake light, directional signal, side marker, and rear light not operational. It started with the directional signal working on and off, it would work for a week or two and then once in a while it would malfunction. Now none of the lights are operational. Upon inspecting the inside of the socket assembly one of the wires looked completely corroded and upon touching it was very hot when the lights were on.

I've noticed a severe gasoline smell (inside and outside) and vehicle will stall at times when starting the car, so we took it a dealer for diagnostic and get it fixed. They found left fuel sending unit was leaking from a plastic weld. It seems little odd to have this types of issues at a such young age of the car.
First day when receiving my keys for a brand new mercedes c350 2009 at the dealership...engine light turns on. Later finding out it was the fuel system needed to be replaced. A month later of getting a brand new car corrosion was found in the taillights. Then finding out corrosion on the brake pads.months after this the power train was slipping up... The rpms of the car would surge up high and remain stuck at high rpms. If i accelerated the gas it would shoot up higher to higher rpms and the car would make the noise but it wouldn't move. I thought if i let go of the gas thinking the rpms would return back down... But it wouldn't...huge safety issue when your in the middle of the freeway and have no control to drive your car. I would have to pull over some how and turn off the car for the rpms to come back down so i can drive it again. I brought the car back several times to the dealership but they could never duplicate the issue. Therefore, nothing got fixed or replaced just constant software updates were stated were done. Soon after taking my car over 5+ times for this same issue, my srs steering malfunctioned. I got that replaced and paid for it a year ago. Now back today exactly 12 months later repairing it again - srs malfunction...again stranded in the middle of no where waiting for a tow truck all alone. I have been to the dealership repairing my car for so many different things, getting stranded, towing my car, paying for all repairs and giving up weekends and work time to go to the dealership. I hate this car! that i'm absolutely have no peace of mind, i don't feel safe, car is not reliable, has extremely poor quality. Not worth it at all!
The car has a strong gas smell inside the cabin and outside the rear of the driver passenger tire well area and its a strong smell.

I was leaving work, car was parked in the lot, key would turn, lightsand dash came on, could not get the care out of park, only clicking sounds from the engine. Had car towed to dealer, they just called and said the steering lock was bad, repair bill is $1100. This is the second time this has happened.
After parking car at work when i went to star vehicle it will nit start or turn over.the car is under 80k miles this is unacceptably disturbing for thisnproblem to occur when i only drive to work and home dmh there should be a discount for thus issue.
The contact owns a 2009 mercedes-benz c350. The contact stated that the steering wheel locked without warning while the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the steering wheel mechanism locked and needed to be replaced. The failure was not remedied. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 68,000.
Car had ignition switch failure. Steering wheel locked transmission locked in park. Dash lights and door locks operate.car had to be towed to dealer.this has been a large problem with these vehicles for years.there should be a manufactuer recall not a consumer expense.thank you, please help
Power steering leaks at 60,000 miles. Dealer says they have to replace the power steering pinion. It will cost $2,500 to repair.
Parked my vehicle in my garage for week 80,000 miles on vehicle. Tried to start car only remove keys light on dash and all electronics work. Mercedes tow says not battery but steering or ignition component are out! this is looking like a common problem please help because the dealers are wanting thousand or more to replace.
2009 mercedes benz c350 - steering wheel lock / $1400to repair and replace the module. Common issue with the c-class.
Car steering lock is broken: parked on a hill facing uphill and when i got back in my car i couldn't start my engine. Lights, radio, display all work fine, but the engine doesn't turn on. Windows, horn, blinkers are all locked. Had to get it towed, diagnosed with steering lock failure. Apparently is a common problem with mercedes of my make and model.
Vehicle would not start. Key turns in ingnition but display indicates to remove key. Windows/sunroof did not work. Called aaa to check battery. Battery fully charged. Towed to mb authorized repair shop steering lock mechanism $980.00 to replace
My car is a 2009 with 33,200 miles on it and the eis/esl (steering lock) failed.i had to pay $1800 for the dealer to fix it.how does a car with so little mileage has a major problem like this?there should be a recall.all the complaints on the same issue should warrant an investigation
Hi, on my commute home from work, i was getting ready to exit the highway by decelerating. My car swerved and almost lost control when i began to press the brakes. There were no cars at 7am on the weekend, so i was able to coast to the light at the end of the 1/4 mile exit ramp. I continue home, but feel the car kicking out the rear end when i brake. At significantly lower speeds i look in the mirror as i brake and notice my rear right wheel turning inwards. I get home and when i wake up i lifted the car and checked to see what it was. The safety issue is that the rear bracket welded to the cross member that holds the rear tie rod craked.
Rear subframe rusted through on both sides and broke while driving about a year ago.nearly lost control of the car.there was 55,000 miles on the car at the time.also, i have another vehicle same w204 car series 120,000 miles on this car.vin [xxx].last week the rear subframe broke on that car while driving.came very close to having serious wreck on i77.mercedes replaced and paid for the first vehicles subframe.i paid for the labor.they are giving me 30% off the repair of the one now in the dealers shop.i have been told by a mercedes service manager that this is a prevalent problem around the country and that mercedes knows they have a problem with the subframe on this model.i have researched this on the web and found many others with the same problem.this is a very serious safety issue.i would not be surprised if someone has died from this part failure.please investigate this for a recall.it will save some lives.redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *cc

Driver window will not closed all the way.
