That recall goes back to 01/1990! how is it possible that the vin # search stated this vehicle had no recalls when i purchased it, that information should have been transparent and disclosed. This should be a violation of my right, especially since i specified that i did not want a vehicle with an airbag recall. Now i am in debt for a vehicle that has a serious recall with no resolution. Again fearful and stressed because it was a gift for my daughter. This needs to stop. Huge corporations preferring to settle individual serious accidents or casualties instead of fixing the issue because it is not cost effective. I was lied to intentionally to ensure a sale of their vehicle without disclosing full information.

While driving on 95 highway taking an exit ( making a right turn roundabout) the steering wheel locked on me preventing me from continuing in the direction of the exit causing me to almost crash into the metal railings; because my wheels now where locked in a position that would force me to crash into the railings had i not stopped. I stopped and turn the car off and restart for the steering wheel and system to reset and unlock. This incident occurred around 2018 or 2019. I notified mercedes of what happened and i received notification of a recall on the steering. I had the recall checked on my vehicle and thought it was fixed. However, twice in november 2020 my car was stationary when trying to start the car, the steering was locked and the ignition would not start. Then after making several attempts car eventuallystarted. I called mercedes and i was told over the phone by mercedes it could be my key faub. However, this happened a 4th time on dec 24, 2020, numerous attempts to start car and car would not start, steering was locked. Car had to be towed to dealership. Was told by mercedes theres a fault in the steering lock modular. The electrical wiring is faulty and the entire steering modular has to be replaced. This is a major safety issue, and can cause accidents when it malfunctions while driving. I asked about the recall that was on the steering and was told the recall addressed a different issue with the steering.

While driving on 95 highway taking an exit ( making a right turn roundabout) the steering wheel locked on me preventing me from continuing in the direction of the exit causing me to almost crash into the metal railings; because my wheels now where locked in a position that would force me to crash into the railings had i not stopped. I stopped and turn the car off and restart for the steering wheel and system to reset and unlock. This incident occurred around 2018 or 2019. I notified mercedes of what happened and i received notification of a recall on the steering. I had the recall checked on my vehicle and thought it was fixed. However, twice in november 2020 my car was stationary when trying to start the car, the steering was locked and the ignition would not start. Then after making several attempts car eventuallystarted. I called mercedes and i was told over the phone by mercedes it could be my key faub. However, this happened a 4th time on dec 24, 2020, numerous attempts to start car and car would not start, steering was locked. Car had to be towed to dealership. Was told by mercedes theres a fault in the steering lock modular. The electrical wiring is faulty and the entire steering modular has to be replaced. This is a major safety issue, and can cause accidents when it malfunctions while driving. I asked about the recall that was on the steering and was told the recall addressed a different issue with the steering.

I was stopped in front of my garage (waiting for the door to go up).when i lightly pressed on the gas pedal to pull in, the engine roared and the car suddenly leaped forward at a very high rate of speed, going thru my detached garage wall.the accelerator pedal stuck and i could not get the car to stop.i have pulled into this garage thousands of times and knew this was the car.slamming on the brakes could not stop the car because it was accelerating too quickly.hitting the brick facade of the condominium, beyond the detached garage was the only thing that stopped the car.no airbags deployed, which i thought they should have because of the impact.even though i only traveled approximately 30 feet, the car accelerated so quickly, it totaled the car.the car is currently under recall as of november 2017, for a steering column issue, which includes improperly grounded components and the steering column clock spring being broken issue related to the airbags deploying while driving the car.i have tired several times to have the car repaired and have been told the mercedes dealership still does not have the part.per the dealership and mercedes, i was adviced i would receive a letter when it was available.i purchased the car used and have since found out since this is the third recall on this vehicle.i believe it had to be something with either the accelerator automatically engaging.it was almost like the cruise control quicked in.since it is under recall for the steering wheel related issue, i don't know if it affected the cruise control and caused this to happen.

R/f tire bubble in sidewall.at 1959 milesa bubble appeared in the r/f tire. I discovered the bubble while washing the car . This appeared about two month after purchase. August 1920014the dealer relunctantly replace the tire. I have not seen any bubbles since that date. I am not satisfied with the continental tires.

Re: continental procontact (front) 225 45 r17 and(rear)245 40 17- on september 11, 2014 at 306 miles tire displayed bulge next to "c" of continental of front passenger side tire.the car was sitting for a week not being driven when the bulge appeared.i was not going to drive on a major highway and chance a blow out accident.car was towed to mb freehold where they told me i went over a pothole. I didn't believe that to be the case but i was at there mercy. Tire was replaced at my expense and i was able to drive home; november8,2014 the new replaced tire of the september 11, 2014 event( front passenger side tire) had a blow outwhile driving 25 miles an hour.the car was garaged for approx 2 weeks and not driven, then for 2 days driven locally to do errands, then driven on highway an hour to my destination and an hour backwhen in my neighborhood at 25 miles per hour the car was out of control and the replaced tire blew.the malfunction light went on- it was darkand i had no choice then to drive my house....the wheel which wasn't scraped before is now scraped... Car doesn't accelerate but jerks and jolts when trying to pass or change lanes/dangerous on highways.

At first the car would have a light ticking or knocking noise after a 15-20 minute run on the highway at 70 mph.last week, friday evening,i started smelling smoke something like plastic, enough to make you search for the source.it seem as thought the smokey smell is coming from the inside but after opening the driverside door the burning smell is coming from under the car.on yesterday, monday, four days since i first smell of smoke,which is consistent now and looked at by a mechanic who said running over a plastic bag is the possible problem. The vehicle was parked in a driveway and the trunk was opened when the rear window shattered for no apparent reason. The window was not struck. This occurred after a 200 mile highway trip with no issues. Obviously, if this had happened on the highway it could have been a difficult situation.

The inner driver door handle mechanism failed leaving me trapped in the vehicle.this is very unsafe.the car has 61k miles.this is a design flaw issue, not wear and tear.

When the outside air intake is covered with snow or ice it will not allow outside air into the hvac system.this causes the front window defroster to not be able to blow air on the windshield to clear the windshield.this is a very dangerous design flaw on behalf of mercedes benz.if hot water is poured over the outside air intake screen the blower will operate properly, blowing hot air to defrost the front windshield.only happens if the car is outside with snow or ice buildup to block airflow into the hvac system.defroster will work properly if no snow or ice is covering the area.
