Nhtsa recall number "17v017" is still pending.i have called several times the dealership, and they don't have the parts.this request has been pending for more than 1 year.mercedes benz of greenwich address: 261 west putnam avenue, greenwich, ct 06830phone: (203) 295-3125

Upon starting the vehicle i receive airbag warnings. One for the driver side and another one for the passenger side. I can click on "ok" to clear them out but with the airbag recall and no resolution i am fearful of a malfunction. I had my car to the mercedes dealer two times and was told they would need to investigate it, at my expense, which could be anywhere between $500-$4500 depending on what they find. With a safety issue at risk i think the responsibility is on mercedes to investigate and correct this at no expense to me. I will have to sell the car and lose money over it. I keep waiting for the airbags in recall to come in and have been living with it like this for over a year but i am seeing no end in sight to the recall being resolved anytime soon.

Takata recall! this was recalled in january! now it is october and still no remedy! this is not acceptable!

Takata recall. I fear for the safety of myself and my passangers while i am driving my car on a daily basis. I have been contacting mercedes dealers in hopes that i can be helped and my car can have it's airbag replaced however to no avail. I would like to be provided with some options because an accident can happen at any time and i am fearful of the possibility of the airbag rupturing causing greater damage. I was also informed that the airbag could rupture in areas with high heat and that is very alarming considering summers in nyc get very hot and humid therefore increasing the chances of that rupture in an accident.

Takata recall - as of todays date, 11/17/2017, i have received no info from mbenz as to when this defective airbag issue will be corrected. Meanwhile, i am afraid to have anyone ride in the passenger seat because it is the side with the defective airbag. I am submitting a complaint because this problem was announced 1/10/2017 by mbenz and it is now 11/17/2017 and the issue has not been corrected yet. I have taken my car in for service annually at mbenz dealerships since i purchased the car in 2014 and it has been in twice so far this year for services and no repair to the airbag has been completed. I believe that this safety hazard should be completed in a timely manner, and it seems that i will have traded in my car before anyone gets around to fixing this. They have been unable to remedy this problem within a reasonable amount of time.

My most recent called was today, when i spoke to a service adviser named moe at mercedes benz of brooklyn.

Takata recallwe do not know if the bag will malfunction to the detriment of the passenger. For an average consumer, there is no way to test that. As a result, the car cannot be driven with a passenger seat occupied, and since this is a 4 door car, the intent is to have multiple passengers. The manufacturer just provided a recall notice (received by us mail 3/18/2017 after being notified by takata in january 2017. Mercedes should have had a solution ready (loaner vehicles of similar class) for the affected owners. It is not acceptable to be put at risk for the 3-4 years that they knew that the vehicle contained takata airbag, 3 months since formally notified by takata and then still not have a solution.

Steering wheel lock after vehicle is shut down. When you return to the vehicle insert the key the instrument cluster, speedo, steering wheel is unresponsive which will not allow you to turn the engine. This should be a recall it's a electronic steering lock that fails on several mercedes benz causing the owner to tow the vehicle to the dealership for a 2,000 dollar repair. It happens several times before it completely fails.

My vehicle was damaged by k and h auto. The electrical unit is malfunctioning, the light is broken on the right side, and the rotors and brakeshave been rusted, please have someone attend to this matter. Thanks, and have a very blessed day. Another company by the name of ans towing, towed my vehicle without care and i am now having acceleration issues with my vehicle. The vehicle was dragged through water on october 17-18, 2018.

My airbags go on and off on there own.my electrical system is always messed up.my lighting goes on and off, the electrical has caused the vehicle to sometimes jsut shut offcompleytely and not turen on for days.i have had times i had to get my vehicle towed.

2012 mercedes benz c300 - rear tail lighttail light failure, found burn marks in the vehicle bulb assembly (bulb panel) and burned wires it has a complete loss of tail light lamps function.

Outside temp 9 degrees car starts fine and i drive two miles to pick up a carry out order.after sitting 15 minutes in front of the restaurant car will not start, not even attempt to crank.lights come on and a message pops up stating "inoperative - check manual." i called mb assistance who determined it was the esp system that was inoperative and offered to have the vehicle towed to the nearest dealer.i tried to start one more time and this time the vehicle started right away.

Sensor for side view mirrors continue to malfunction providing inaccurate information and locking on (light) and not showing when needed

While my car was running in my driveway prior to driving, the engine caught fire, totaling the vehicle. There are no open recalls on this specific car, but was told by the fire investigator that it was either electrical or fuel pump related.

On a 4 lane boulevard close to home i pulled out to pass a slow car and noticed a car coming up from behind at a high rate. I pushed the accelerator to the floor, the car started accelerating then lost all power. The engine had cut off and all the dash lights were on. I rolled to a stop, as far off the road as i could. After a few seconds i restarted the car and drove home. Similar incidents can be found on you tube but not for a c300. The ones i found were for a c240 mercedes. They say the problem is due to the computer shutting down the engine because it can't properly balance the fuel to air ratios. This seems logical because i have never had to accelerate like this before.this could have been catastrophic if i would have been pulling out into fast traffic on a busy highway and the engine shuts down. Now i 'm afraid it will happen again. I just don't know when. All i can do is try not to press down on the accelerator too far. The dealer said nothing was in the car'scomputer memory so he couldn't do anything. I'm suspicious of that because if they admit there is a problem then they would be expected to fix it. I think they know there is a problem but don't know what to do about it.

My car caught on fire. I am not sure exactly what caused it or where it started, but there were flames coming out between the tire and the door frame. The car was on while i was parked in a driveway. I ran a report on my vehicle and the tensioner had been replaced before i purchased it and also after i purchased it. I believe it may have something to do with the v-belt tensioner as it was always making screeching sounds. I just want to know how to have my car investigated for the cause of the fire.

Gradually as the car is accelerating it makes a terrible grinding noise and shakes also jerks when changing gears, confirmed it is a failed transmission, the car has had all the appropriate maintenance just not at a mb dealer and there is a service bulletin on the transmission just not official recall and mercedes is claiming no responsibility as it was not serviced at mb dealer since 2014.clearly the service announcement is recognition of a problem

The rear subframe has corroded around the areas where the trailing arm and control arm meet the subframe on both sides of the vehicle, and has disintegrated around the drivers side rear trailing arm causing it to have detached, along with a piece of the subframe. The metal of the subframe is distorted around the area of the break. The detached trailing arm and piece of subframe are now making contact with the fuel tank as well. The fuel tank could have easily ruptured and ignited when this car was still in operation, as this car was driven for several days before the manufacturing defect was discovered.the failure happened when coming to a gentle stop from 20-30 miles per hour on a straight road. There was a loud snapping noise from the drivers side rear. This car had 92,000 miles at time of the structural failure and has been regularly serviced, exclusively at mercedes-benz. This exact issue has led to a recall of the same model in canada, and there are countless nhtsa reports describing similar structural failures. Feul tank leakwhen i put any amount of gas into car it is leaking out on to the ground while im driving and when im at a standstill. The smell is very strong and i see the trail in my rearview mirror. I read on the website that is one of the problems that this car is having it was reported march 2013 but when i call the dealership they are telling it is not a recall for this vehicle. I went to autozone to do a check and it told it was the feul capped which i switch and that was not the problem. Now i went to do my inspection and it failed due to this problem.

I made a sharp turn into a parking area then another sharp turn into the parking space and when i straighten the wheel out to complete parking an applied my foot on brake the pedal went to the floor and car would not stop the only thing that stopped me was the concrete curbing which i hit hard and damaged the under carriage of my car. The tires hitting the concrete is made forced car to stop. I contacted dealership to report the problem and see if they could tow vehicle and provide me with a car since i was stranded. They were closing and couldn't help me. Had the vehicle checked to see if a brake line had broke or if brake fluid level was ok, everything checked out ok drove car home very slow noticed car having a message on dash hold when i apply brakes and a message ( p shift in park) came on dash as i was driving. This had never happened before this incident occurred. Called dealer the following morning and had car towed to them. 5 days later they tell me that they cannot find anything wrong with my brakes and my car is safe. I am not driving the car i will be having it towed. There is something wrong with the brakes and i do not feel i should have to put myself or anyone else on the road at risk for losing there life. Just because they cant find anythingit doesn't mean there isn't anything wrong. I have researched on the internet about the car i own and i have seen many people with the same problem as mine. I have not had the car but for 2 months. This is a safety issues and it seems as the manufactures of the vehicles being made don't have to back there products unless someone is killed.

Takata recall was made on this car in january 2017 and no remedy has been released over two years later. Also, the paint on the whole car bubbled being a defect from mercedes.

Rear subframe (as recalled in previous years) was completed corroded - failed virginia inspection - in such poor shape that entire subframe had to be replaced - corrosion riddled the piece so that huge holes resulted in no possibility of welding to fix/supplement weakness - auto repair place had not seen such a weak frame in such a relatively new car. Luckily - no accident occured but could easily have occurred due to corrosion. No other part of vehicle was corroded - so part was manufactured incorrectly (no corrosion control?/shipment from germany issue?) - mercedes benz has recall for this part in previous model years - pictures of subframe available upon demand

Mercedes-benz usa customer service is unable to offer any assistance. This exact issue has led to a recall of the same model in canada, and there are countless nhtsa reports describing similar structural failures. Mercedes-benz usa is aware of this issue and is also aware that there is a recall in canada, but has made it clear that goodwill will not be extended.

Interior door latch spontaneously broke.i had driven my car to work that morning and gotten out of the car to go into my office building.there was no sign of any issue with the latch.later that afternoon, i left work and made a stop somewhere.when i went to get out of the care the latch just flopped. There was no spring action and i could not get out of the car until i rolled down the window and opened the door from the outside.according to forums on mbworld.com dating as far back as 2012, this is a common issue for c-class and other mb modelsthis could definitely be a safety issue in the event an accident or in another life threatening situation.according to the mercedes benz service advisor in my area, the cost to repair this issue is upwards of $1300 because they have to replace the entire door panel.if this is happening to so many of these vehicles through no fault of the owner, shouldn't there be a recall issued for this?why are they accepting parts that they know to be defective?
