I discovered from the nhtsa website that my vehicle has an open recall on the passenger-side frontal airbag.the remedy shown on the nhtsa website is for an authorized mercedes-benz dealer to replace the airbag.two m-b dealers have told me that the remedy is not yet available.i have owned this car for more than 5 years, and i suspect this defect has been known by mercedes-benz for most of this time.it is time for them to do something about it.i do not like for my wife to ride in the front passenger seat with air bag deployment threatening serious injury or death.
