Takata recall i recieved the notification from takata airbag inflators at home. I called my dealer and they didn't agree that my car have a recall for airbags. I called the mercedes benz principal office and they also denied i have problmes with airbags. The website of airbagrecall.com showed active recalls wheni put my vin number it showed that i have the problem.oct 6 2017 recall number 17v627.manufactures recall number 2017100005. Vehicle has insufficient electrical grounding that can lead to an inadvertent deployment of the driver airbag.mercedes refuses to inform me of a date that the vehicle will be repaired.i was sent a letter from mercedes dated november 2017 and the dealers and the manufacture will not give me a date.i am unsure as i drive the auto that the airbag will deploy causing and accident and injury to myself.why can't the vehicle be repaired in a timely manner?i am now in the 5th month and wondering if i am driving a time bomb.

The contact owned a 2017 mercedes benz c43 amg. The contact stated that while driving at 63 mph in the rain, loss control of the vehicle as it sled to the left and crashed into the guard rail. The incident of march 12th did not feel like i had hydro-planned. The contact stated that several warning lights illuminated such as air bags failure, shock failure, suspension failure and track failure. There were no injuries and no police report was filed. The vehicle's driver's side was damaged under the front bumper and the frame was damaged beyond repair. The vehicle was towed to an auto body repair facility where the contact was informed that the steering was extensively damaged and a failure cause could not be determined. The contact researched the failure on-line and believes that the electric steering was defective and may be a cause of the failure. The contact mentioned that the vin was not included in a recall for electrical steering. During the inspection of the vehicle by penske auto collision center, the technician could not tell if the steering damage was sustained during the collision or as a result of a defect. They also found damage to the rear drive unit although, as very visible in the photos, the vehicle struck the barrier with the front left (driver's side) portion of the front bumper. The rear of the car never slammed into the barrier but did scrape along the driver's side momentarily but there was no impact. The collision center could not account for the damage to the rear drive unit. In research, i found a few mentions and complaints of the rear axle disengaging which could cause loss of control. The vehicle was totaled by the contact's insurance company. The dealer and manufacturer had been contacted. The failure mileage was 32,000. *dt

The car enters limp mode in the highway where it looses all the power and warning pops up as active brake assist is inoperative, traction control lights come on as well. If you manage to glide the car to a stop and restart the car, the car starts to back up as normal. Took the car for service several times, intake airflow sensor was replaced but the car still has the same issue. Upon searching online, this is a very well known issue with the newer mecedes cars where the car goes into a safety mode where the engine cuts all the power turning the situation into a even more dangerous scenario. As part of the safety mode, if the car looses all the power, then there is few things that can be done to come out of it. This is a major safety concern as repeated occurence of this problem has the ability to cause a severe accident.

At start-up, the parking brake light comes on and can't be turned off. This happened several times. The parking brake light comes on while drivingone day at start-up the brake would not release for 30 minutes while trying various methods recommended by mercedes benz support and the operators manual. The brake light has come on when it starts up and the parking brake could not be released preventing the car from moving. Also the warning light comes on when driving. I will upload a picture of this.

The parking brake won't release sometimes after doing everything that the manual and mercedes benz recommends. I've been stranded for over 30 minutes. I've pulled the brake release for over 10 seconds and put the car in gear and turned if off and on.twice the parking brake light has come on when driving.

In regard to continental tires.the wheels crack at the slightest resistance.the wheels constantly need air placed in them sometimes twice a week.in a year i have had to replace 12 tires due to cracking at the slightest impact.the wheels do not last 50 miles after being flat they are destroyed the minute they hit impact.these are dangerous tires for anyone and these need to be recalled.

Wheel lips on this vehicle deform with little provocation resulting in rapid air loss, loss of handling and in extreme cases a crash.the shape of these wheels deviates from other alloy wheels in a way that promotes this behavior.the curve of the rim barrel between the lips (also know as the bell) is much shallower than many other wheels.the result is that the angle at which the barrel meets the lips is closer to a right angle than common.the barrel meeting the lip at an angle closer to parallel with the pavement greatly increase the risk that sudden deflation could occur resulting in the aforementioned safety issues.

Tire failure while driving. Tread separated from sidewall. Maybe related to pirelli recall 16t018000. Tire manufactured 05-17 and dot ce x2 t120 and ece homologation symbol is e4 0271937.

The wheels on my tires will crack at the slightest stress from the road.it could be a bump, a tiny pot hole, even a stick, and these tires will become defective, either by cracking, becoming flat or the wheel becoming completely immoblized.i have been stranded on the road in the middle of the night for hours because of these defective tires.i've come into work un-showered with no sleep, because i was stranded for sometimes up to 12 hours before i would get help.its happened at least once a month for the past 4 years.there is no way these tires passed even basic inspection.they are danger to anyone using them.
