Vehicle stalled and then was restarted; vehicle was taken to the repair shop where it ran for several minutes before it started to smoke heavily from the rear; what was found was a faulty fuel pump which melted the electrical components on the interior of the tank; the vehicles electrical system failed to operate properly, as the fuse remained intact.
While driving, front wheel hub engaged on its own, causing steering wheel to pull to side, replaced once, in to dealer 4 times/same problem.the problem was found to be an electrical circuit of 4wd, neede to be disconnected to recycle and then reconnected.

Air conditioner leaks and continuously needs to be recharged.
A/c condensor failure.
Short in connection at the fuel tank. Plastic is melted through, there appears to be scoring on the inside of the unit that would be indicative of spark and or high heat. Concern is that this could have caused a fire and or explosion. Especially if this had occoured during a time frame when warm temperatures would have made for high fuel vapor content (i.e. It occoured in the middle of summer as opposed to stranding me in the middle of a snow storm as it did)

A short occurred at the junction of the electrical connection to the fuel tank.the short melted the plastic connection and burned through the assembly to the inside of the gas tank.there was evidence of ignition inside the gas tank.this clearly could have lead to a fire or explosion of the gas tank.
Gasoline smell around fuel filler tube after vehicle parked for short period. *dsh
Speedometer worked intermittently in cold weather.

4 out of 5 gears broke off without any warning, causing transmission failure.
Front left/.right 4-wheel drive locking hubs failed as a result of being manufactured out of plastic material with excessive wear due to stress.

While driving at any rate of speed ,brakes will intermittently lock up, causing vehicle to jerk due to defectivevalve which dealer claims is an unusual part to fail.
The proportioning valve failed "closed" and did not allow for the brake fluid to go to the rear brakes, as a result the rear brakes failed resulting in the front tires locking up and skidded causing collision. *mjs
Right front rotor bolts came loose, causing damage to the rotor.

I haven't had any problems yet, but i want to know if i am putting my family in danger by having a tire that has been recalled.i only have one tire that fits this description.it is located on the rear passenger side.( dot number: vdhl1mo174 tire size: p235/75r15 )
The accident occurred while traveling northbound about 10 miles south of ocala, fl.i was driving along when the car started shaking violently and making loud thumping noises.i immediately pulled over and checked the tires.the tread had come off the driver's side rear tire.the tire was still infalted.i changed the tire and proceeded to my destination, tallahassee, fl.the next day, i purchased a new firestone tire but kept the blown tire.i showed it to another firestone retail center in orlando and the salesperson said it looked like a curing defect.we sued firestone and they settled for $1200.00.the car is my father's but i was driving it at the time of the accident.you can contact me at (850) 838-3508.ask for craig aubrey.we have since gotten rid of the tire but i can provide phote documentation.i can also provide paperwork from the lawsuit as well as notes i wrote following the accident.before we settled, firestone told my father that the tire was probably underinflated at the time of the accident.i checked the inflation of the tires prior to beginning the trip.they were inflated according to the pressure rated on the side of the tire.firestone wanted to tire to be sent to them but we would not fearing that the evidence might be lost(my father is an attorney).( dot number: tire size: p235/75r15 )

While driving 70mphright rear passenger firestone atx tire blew out, causing the vehicle to lose control, and go under a semi -trailer and roll over. Vehicle was a mazda navajo.dot # wihlat51561.
Firestone, wilderness at, p23 75r15, consumer has replaced all five tires. Tires tread separated fromrim.
Consumer had taken vehicle into shop for maintenance wheretechnician found out that front tires were showingtread separation. Dealer refused to replace tires.

Request information regarding sun roofs flying off of ford explorers, since the mazda navajo is made by ford.
While driving with cruise control activated, the system would not disengage, resulting in the rpm gauge racing up. Cause unknown.please give anyfurther details.

The gas pedal got stuck and while trying to put the car into neutral, the car went into reverse which caused the car to rollover.
Sun roof flew off while driving.
Consumer has been experiencing problems withsunroof.while driving sunroof glass flew off.the manufacturer has been contacted.is in accordance with recall number 97v235002.
While driving at 25 mph, the sunroof of the vehicle was blown off by the wind.the sunroof tilts up at the rear and the dealer can not explain how the roof could be lost.there is a recall for this part, but the consumer'svin is not included.*ph
