We've had this car in three time's they have changed air bag control module. Found resistance at connector high 25.4 ohms cleaned and reset. And the third time witch was same day after they return car a few miles down the road air bag light was back on. They failed to right it up they took it back into garage and sent us home in a loaner car. As of 7/14/14 the air bag system turn it self off again. I do not know if i am in a accident if the air bag system will deploy or not. The cars computer keeps turning the air bag system off. This system has shut the air bags off when starting the car and now the third time while on the highway at 55 mph.

Why is the remedy taking so long?

This takataairbag recall is taking to long. There is no remedy....not acceptable at all. And the fact i can't have a passenger in my front seat puts a burden on me. If i owed mazda corp. Money for my car....it would be repossessed real quick...why can't a remedy for the airbags be as quick.how many more deaths have to happen?!?

There was a recall on the air bags of my car and i was not informed of the recall that was for april 2019. How can this be fixed?

Takata recallwe live in simpsonville sc which has very high humidity and high temperatures. We have already received two recall notices from mazda concerning the airbag recall. We believe that getting the replacement parts is taking too long and that we should have already had the parts replaced. Mazda is continuing to build new vehicles using parts that are not faulty while we continue to drive a vehicle that could cause death if we are involved in an accident and the airbags would deploy. We would like nhtsa to require mazda to divert a larger portion of the new airbag parts from new vehicle production to the replacement of inflators for existing customers.

Takata recall - the airbag inflator in my vehicle was recalled on 1/9/17. Over 6 months later, the part is still not available for my vehicle. My family cannot utilize our family vehicle as designed due to the lack of timely availability of the part by takata or a solution by mazda.

Takata recall. I live in a high humidity state, florida, which is a high priority recall. First notice of airbag recall was may, 2017. Still waiting for replacement airbag. I'm afraid to drive car for fear of airbag deployment with shrapnel as stated in recall notice.

Takata recall i have been getting letters for months that my vehicle is not safe but that they still do not have the parts to repair. I contacted the dealer directly twice the first time they stated not to have anyone in the passenger seat and the second time a month ago which they stated they would check on the parts and contact me back and never did.

Takata recallwhy does mazda send takata airbag recall/warning letters and then not make greater efforts to obtain and ship parts?!?!?!?!in response to a mazda airbag recall notice, on 4/25/17 i made an appt. W/ mazda in santa barbara, ca. With my vin he ordered the parts and scheduled a 5/15/17 appt. Never heard back if parts arrived. Early aug. 2017 called nhtsa to report problem. In mid aug. 2017, i got an unsolicited email of a service appt. At my local (seaside, ca) dealer for 8/28/17. Assuming this was in response to the nhtsa report, i contacted the local dealer.they didn't know how the appt. Was made, but in any event they said that there are no open recalls for my vin (then why did i get the letter from mazda????), that mine was only a "preliminary recall notice (???), that i'll get another letter from mazda, and until i do, they cannot order the parts!how and when will my airbag recall issue be resolved?this seems to be a common problem, according to this nhtsa website!

Vehicle randomly shuts off on the highway with no known cause or warning light. Mazda service department could not fix. This has happened 3 times now. Vehicle was driving in summer weather, no rain, no unusual conditions.

I own a 2012 mazda 6 which now has approx. 72,000 miles. The front low beam headlights went out while i was driving in a rainstorm at night. Luckily my high beams stayed functional. After pulling over to check out the issue i hit the driver side headlight assy (out of frustration) and the low beam light came on. I did the same to the other side and that light came on too. As soon as i started looking on the internet about this. I see that there are many people having the same issue with mazda headlights. This presents a extremely dangerous situation while driving at night time and a less experienced driver may have panicked when the lights went out. I'm extremely concerned about this because my wife and daughter also drives this car but i don't feel safe with them driving at night now. Not to mention, this car is due for it's yearly inspection and it won't pass because the low beams are out. I doubt the mechanic will let me hit the lights to make them come on for the inspection. Especially to have them go out again as soon as i hit a bump or turn the lights off. As of 10-26-15, both of my low beams are out and now only the driver side will come on with a bump to the light. With this many people having the same safety issue, can you please explain to me why this is not a recall??? i hope nobody gets hurt in an accident while they're driving at night and then the lights suddenly go out. I live in an area where most roads do not have street lights, and there are a lot of deer and other animals crossing the road at night. Please help us in getting this issue resolved with mazda before someone's child gets hurt or killed in an accident because of this issue!!! thank you very much for investigating this issue promptly. In addition to this being a safety concern, i'm now being forced to drive an un inspected vehicle because it won't pass the state inspection without lowbeams.

At around 50,000 miles, i had a headlight (low beam) go out on me. I had it replaced on the driver side. A few weeks later, the passenger side headlight went out and had to get that replaced. These are hard to get to if you do not have the right tools so each time i had to take it in for service. At 65,000 miles, i had my engine and battery light come on. I turned the car off and then back on and they went away. I then tried locking the car, and my car will not lock from the inside or with my remote. The car will unlock, but will not lock no matter what i do. Tested battery and all fuses and everything is good there.

Both headlights on vehicle is not working

Headlights went out for no reason. Had to pull over and bump the headlights to make them work. Checked the fuse and all electrical components at autoshop. They found nothing, but said that they have seen this in mazda 6cars before and there is a fault in the design nor is there any solution to the issue. Issue can be seen in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqqperresa8

The contact owns a 2012 mazda 6. While driving approximately 45 mph, the door open icon illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road to check the doors; however, all the doors were closed. The vehicle was taken to hennessy mazda (7261 jonesboro rd, morrow, ga 30260) to be diagnosed, but they were not able to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 96,000.

Low beams failed on both headlights with in first year, attempted to replace bulb several times, finally replaced entire head lamp assemblies, with in first 2 months low beams have failed again. Attempts to replace bulb are still not effective.

I own a 2012 mazda 6, vin#[xxx], that i bought in 2012. For the past couple of years i've been dealing with electrical issues with this car. For a few years i was just dealing with the headlights continuously going out every 3 or 4 months. At first i was thinking the light was defective, but after some research i learned that this is a more than a common occurrence with these cars. This is the main complaint. It has been linked to the electrical system that your service department said was the issue. It also mentioned the electrical issue causing the car to suddenly shut down which is the problem i am currently having now. My car has shutdown a total of 4 times, the last time being on the interstate. This is ridiculous! this is a known problem by mazda that has not been addressed. Are you waiting for someone to die in an accident? this needs to be fixed immediately. My daughter drives this car!information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Driving on the highway as normal tail lights and dash lights cutout and off out of nowhere melting wires causing light outage.

While vehicle is in motion the gear indicator on the dash i will flash in and out. When the light goes out the vehicle will stall and when it comes back on the vehicle will rev up causing an unsafe speed. The ecm was replaced and two months later the problem still persists. The dealer cannot find anything wrong

The contact also stated that the check engine light illuminated and the vehicle had difficulty starting. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was not available.

The contact owns a 2012 mazda 6. While driving approximately 55 mph, an abnormal sound emitted from the engine compartment. The failure recurred multiple times. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 42,000.

Driving on the highway as normal tail lights and dash lights cutout and off out of nowhere melting wires causing light outage.

When driving on the highway my driver side low beam headlight randomly went out. I tried changing bulb, wiggling cables to see if there was a lose connect and headlight would not turn back on. Went to the dealership and they said no know issues and i would have to make an appointment to look into the wiring but would not be able to make an appointment until monday. I then started searching the internet and found a video of a 2009 mazda 6 with the same issue i was having only on passenger side. The guy in the video lightly hit the headlight assembly on the top and the light just came on. I went to my car and did the same thing since so many others that saw video posted this worked for their mazda 6 cars ranging from years 2009-2012 and when i lightly hit the headlight assembly the light came on. Please look into this headlight assembly issue and for references here is the website for the video. Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqqperresa8.

Front passenger headlamp intermittently goes out.

My low headlight beams continue to burn out, especially the driver side.they were last replaced less than 2 weeks ago and the driver side is out again.i did a google search and there were multiple complaints of this happening to other people.what's worse is that for the low beams it has to be taken to a mazda dealership to be replaced.it's a safety hazard and expensive!

My low beam headlights keep burning out. I have lost count of how many times i have changed one out. Not only is this dangerous, it can get expensive. Then two weeks ago, a rear brake light blew. This is insane. I have complained to the dealership, but to no avail.

Seems to have happened overnight. Noticed just last night that neither of my low beams will turn on. Thought it was a weird coincidence that normally you notice when one light burns out but both? i have read online that this is an ongoing issue with a lot of mazda makes and models and the fix is neither cheap nor time friendly. I will call a mazda dealer tomorrow to find out their recommendation but i am sure its going to cost me a few hundred dollars to fix or even look at. Turns out the fix is smacking the top of the headlight to get it to come back on but this is only a temporary fix..

Low beam headlights continually fail to work. I have had the bulbs replaced 3 x in 3 years as the owner and once again the low beams are out. After reading the complaints on this post it is clear mazda has a problem that needs addressed. Driving with high beams on is dangerous and annoying to other drivers. I guess its time to buy something other than a mazda.

Headlight on driver side was burning out every other month needing replaced. Recently changed headlight and the bulb is fine but the adapter inside the assembly is burned and charred. Just went to change the passenger side and it has the same issue. Good bulb but the adapter to attach bulb is burned. Reading many complaints online about this being a common issue with 2012 mazda 6. Including issues of lights going out while people are driving and having to tap on the headlight to get it to turn on.

Wiring system problem with front headlights results in loss of lighting, potential could cause fire.

I have replaced my headlights several times over the course of a few months.i am no car expert but i know this is not normal nor safe.in addition they now shine very dime.after reading the complaints i see it's not just me but i am still taking it in.tonight alone one of them just went out on one of the darkest roads in my neighborhood. I can't count how many times i've driven with high beams because my light (s) went out.

Can smell strong gas fumes, after filling gas tank. Also, gas tank leaking, after putting gas in tank, at half fill or full tank, get gas smells and leaking. While stationary and moving, can smell gas fumes.headlights do not provide adequate visibility at night and during rainy weather. Headlights adequate only in high beam mode.

The main front light is off, it is not dead but it is off. If you hit a bump, it cuts off. I was wondering what was up so i went on youtube. Apprently there are a lot of people with the same model and have the same issue. They have been constantly replacing bulbs only to find out there isnt a problem with the bulb itself but the vehicle it self. Please look into this matter. Next question asks when it happened, its a constant thing. You adjust the light so that it turns on and then next thing you know you are driving and you hit a bump and the light cuts off. Really annoying and especially dangerous in locations with no lighting.

Seems there is a problem with the headlights.. I have replaced the bulbs 3 times they are burning out repeatedly...i drive with my high beams more often than the low beams... I have been pulled over 4 times for one of the low beams being out...this is a bit unfair..... I haven't ever in my life put so many bulbs into one car!! apparently a lot of people are having this same issue why isn't something being done?? obviously it's not something we caused.

Headlight bulbs go out often, have to bang on the light to get it to go back on, i can change bulbs and it will go a couple of months before it starts to go out again. Have to take the bumper off to change the light bulb so it is a hassle. After checking the internet i see there are a whole lot of mazda owners with the same problem

I have replaced the low beam bulbs 2 times since i got the car 2/2014. It's crazy cause once got out .then you can hit it and it won't come back on only for like a week or so then the other side goes out now i'm driving around town with no headlights only got high beams sounds like the steering wheel is about to fall off or the power steering pump is about to go out replace the brakes 2 times already since i've had the car just terrible

I've been replacing both of my headlights every 6 months. This is the third time since i have owned this vehicle that i had to buy replacement bulbs. I took it to the dealership and they said nothing was wrong with the electrical system but hear i am replacing the same low beam bulbs again.

I noticed my passenger side low beam was out on my 2012 mazda6.after searching online for how to change the bulb, i found hundreds of people who had fixed the issue by lightly hitting the side of the headlight cover.i tried it and it fixed it!since it has gone out again (just a week later) and came back on when i went over a bumpy area in the road.i live in an area with a light ordinance and the roads are pitch black enough to see every star in the sky at night.this is a huge safety issue.

Low beams failed on both headlights with in first year, attempted to replace bulb several times, finally replaced entire head lamp assemblies, with in first 2 months low beams have failed again. Attempts to replace bulb are still not effective.

I have owned my vehicle since aug 2013, and have replaced the headlights on driver and passenger side 4 times already. This last time i had both headlights blow out on me at the same time i don't understand why this isn't recalled yet. I see many complaints regarding this issue.

The contact owns a 2012 mazda mazda6. The contact stated the low beam headlights do not give sufficient light; therefore, the high beam lights had to be used in order to see the road. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated the low beam bulb could be replaced with a better bulb. The headlight bulb was not replaced. The failure mileage was 100 and the current mileage was 1500.

I have had to replace my front driver side low beam headlight 4 times. No other light has gone out on the car. I have read multiple stories about people having this issue.

Passenger side low beam light does not come on (high beams work fine). I've change the bulb but problem persists.

While driving at night on multiple occasions one or both headlights would just go out presenting a very dangerous safety issue. This has resulted in multiple headlight replacements, 7 times in 5 years. This problem has occurred on city, highway, and country roads. Present mechanical shop has no idea why since all electrical systems seem to be working properly. I have the receipts for the headlight replacements if you should need them. I had the headlights replaced in october of 2016 due to going out on a country road without streetlights forcing me to drive with the high beams on and then i had to replace them again in february 19th of 2017 for going out again now after only 1000 miles since february i had to replace the left headlight for going out today march 21st, 2017. Like i listed earlier this is the 7th time in 5 years.

Front headlights have been replaced 3x in 1 year.i have purchased upgraded bulbs which have now gone out within 2 months of the change, they did not supply any additional light and have not lasted any longer before burning out than the cheaper lights. Headlight causing difficulty with night driving. Lights appear to be facing downward and beam is very low causing poor visability, almost causing me to run off the road, mostly having to use high beams during night driving and constantly having to turn off when a driver is coming towards to me to avoid blinding them with high beams. I have reported this to mazda with nothing more be said than thanks for reporting this . I also had the same thing happen while driving a rental of the same make, model and year. I had the rental for 2-3 months and the front headlights also went out and the headlights were very dim.

Because of the severe pain i was in, i was not able to get out of the vehicle on my own.i carried out of the vehicle and laid on the grass.i was taken by ambulance in severe pain and could not stand or sit upi was diagnosed with a fractured sternum and sprained right ankle.car is totaled $11,000.00 worth of damage.i have not been able to work in 3 weeks because of the severity of the fracture on my sternum.

Over the past few months i noticed the passenger side dashboard of my 2012 mazda 6 was becoming sticky and looked as if it were melting. It also began to emit a smell and cracks began to develop while becoming more reflective than the driver's side which remains normal. I bought this car used in good condition from a dealership. After notifying the nearest mazda dealership they stated no recalls had been made and my best hopes for a solution was to have them inspect and photograph the car's dashboard and hope that mazda may give me some credit toward replacing the it. Though i will take my mazda 6 to a dealership for evaluation, i was unsatisfied with this response and learned there is a class action lawsuit describing exactly the same problem my mazda 6 is experiencing with the dashboard. Please let me know what my options are?

I was stopped at a red light in town and went to make a left hand turn when i heard a loud pop and then a springing noise. I myself looked under the car and just assumed i ran over something and it hit the bottom of the car. I had a friend look under it also and he didn't see anything either. I just found this out yesterday when it failed inspection.

The passenger side of my mazda 6 2012 is literally melting. The dashboard is all sticky and has a glare that affects my ability to see out the window. The passenger dashboard is cracking and has pieces that are falling off. It is a hazard because it causes a glare that limits my ability to see.

Dash board on the passenger side is sticky and chunks falling off as if it has melted.

The dashboards and other interior panelsis defectiveit has melted and feels like foam on the passenger side. It is sticky behind the steering column and on the drivers side as well. Anything that touches the dashboard turns black and sticky and may be ruined. The melted dashboards can cast dangerous glares across the windshields, inhibiting their vision and posing a safety hazard to others on the road as well as a fear that the airbags will not deploy on that side. .

On sunday, april 9, 2017, while driving in arizona on i-10 eastbound near the chandler exit of warner.my wife and i heard a loud noise like glass breaking, we looked around the car to see which passenger window may have broken and realized none had.upon reaching our home and exiting the vehicle we learned that the sunroof had exploded.luckily for us i had the shield closed so no glass was sprayed on us.like several of the other people that have had the same problem over the past years, we were not near an overpass, another car and it looked like it happened from inside out.

The dashboard is melting and shiny

When the car stands for a couple of days it makes a grinding sound within seconds after start. I have spent three years trying to get it fixed. It has been in the shop many times. First its this then that but remains unfixed. On the internet you can see complaints starting with 2009. I tried to talk to mazda but they tell me its a dealer problem. I wouldn't try to talk to them if the dealer took care of it. I was told by a service manager its in most of the 6 model. The mazda fixes haven't worked. If i could afford a lawsuit i would have by now. I don't want to be one of those dead so that's what it was. I would get rid of the car but i still owe to much. Car is stationary. They blame the air conditioner last. My car has only 7000 miles on it.

There was a recall on the air bags of my car and i was not informed of the recall that was for april 2019. How can this be fixed?

My dashboard is sticky and seems to be melting and ripped as i was cleaning the right passenger side(i had my keys in my hand and scraped it as i was cleaning then lifter my keys and dropped them and a chunk came off) also has cotton pieces sticking to it cause it's so sticky.

This is a complaint about the milestar tires, not the car.i have milestar ms 932 tires and these tires have about 5,000 miles on them.i was driving about 65 mph on the freeway when the tread of the front driver-side tire separated from the rest of the tire.the tread was whipping around and caused extensive damage to the front wheel well and i lost my brake fluid.i was lucky that no one in the car was injured.i don't think i hit a foreign object or a pothole.i went to the tire retailer twice but he didn't do anything.i sent a letter and an e-mail to tireco, the parent company of milestar, but they never responded either.thank you.
