I am having various issues with my mazda 6. First, i have had the car 4 years and have replaced the headlights 4 times. I was told by the dealer it was normal.my major issue is the air bag light. Had a problem back in july with the light flashing. Dealer determined it was the pad sensor and i had it replaced. Now the air bag light is flashing again and dealer now thinks it is the srs control module. The pad sensor was $200.00 and this sensor is over $500.00. I am not sure why air bag components would need to be replaced after 4 years. They are not a wear item. The car has never been in an accident.

Takata recall.insufficient parts.but, mazda advises us to "not allow passengers to ride in front passenger seat."that is ridiculous.also, isn't the driver at risk as well?isn't the advisal insufficient?if they don't have the part, and if driving the car is dangerous as advised, shouldn't we be provided a loaner until the parts are available?

The dash panel on my passenger side is melting, sticky, and cracked eventhpu i've used the recommended care procedures.

Had an head on car accident on the street my tire blow out and hit a light pole. The passenger air bag did not come out, also the driver airbag came out but it was deflated no air was in it or what ever makes an air bag blow up. In which cost me to hit my head on the steering wheel.

Key on ignition off, the air bag light will come on. Key on ignition, the airbag light will flash.

Airbag light is on all the time. Has red light with the airbag symbol on.

Takata recall - i am still waiting for a replacement air bag for my mazda 6. My car was part of the original recall last summer. It's been 8 months now, and the part is still not available. I received a recall letter that was absolutely terrifying and advised me that i should not use the passenger seat because if the air bag deployed it could seriously injure or kill me.this recall is really putting me at a disadvantage. I only have 1 car. I can't afford to buy another one, and i feel unsafe in this car. Not only do i not feel safe in my own car, my son has his driving permit, and i'm not able to teach him how to drive because i can't use the passenger seat. This is absolutely ridiculous. Something needs to be done to compensate those of us that are forced to deal with a car recall which is causing disruptions to our daily routine and delaying basic life lessons from occurring like student driver's education.

Takata recallmy son's 2011 vehicle has a takata airbag in the passenger side. According to the dealership they can not replace it at this time as there is not a formal recall. That is ridiculous. They know there is a problem. The website says it is a safety issue. A recall should be done asap on all airbags youknow there is a problem with. Is it ok that the airbag kills a passenger?

Takata recall - 2011 mazda 6i was the passenger in a collision in november 2015 where the 2011 mazda 6 was t-boned on the driver's side by another vehicle (ford fusion), which made the mazda 6 spin several times, hop a curb, and deploy the airbags.as the passenger (front seat) i suffered injuries caused by the takata airbags and required going to the hospital following the collision.injuries included at least three fractured/broken ribs and major bruising on my right knee.injuries took over 6 months to heal, taking heavy doses of pain killers just to manage the pain.lingering effects from this collision can still be felt 7 months later.the driver did not sustain major injuries aside from scrapes and a few bruises.police reports determined that the driver of the ford fusion was responsible for the collision and was charged with careless/reckless driving.that driver failed to stop/yield in their turning lane before driving straight into the mazda 6.the mazda 6 was declared totaled by insurance.the mazda 6 was added to the takata airbag recall in may 2016, approximately 6 months after the accident had occurred.

Takata recall. I live in the humid hot south in texas. Though mazda is well aware of the defective airbags in my car and the fact that humid conditions worsens the problem, they have no plans in place at this time to fix the problem.we have contacted our local dealership and they will not even offer a loaner or rental car.in the meantime, i am driving around with a ticking time bomb carting young children to school.it is ridiculous that this is taking so long. Something needs to be done to speed up the recall and repair process.

Currently, i have been waiting for a replacement dashboard for the last two years.the right side of my dash board is melted.apparently it is a factory defect in my model car.two years ago the dealership took pictures, sent in the claim, and i started waiting.since then i have received at least two letters to update me to the fact that the part still is not available.so i continue to drive around with a melted dash board, which by the way is a sticky mess.now, as if to add insult to injury, i have received a notice that my passenger air bag inflator needs to be replaced.yet again, the part is unavailable and i will someday receive notification when the part is available.even more outrageous is that the letter says, "until this repair is performed, do not allow passengers to ride in the front passenger seat.it has been months and still no letter concerning the part being corrected.

Two car collision at an intersection .city streets.both cars in motion. Air bag deployed but didn't inflate.smoke filled interior.attending fireman at first thought the car was on fire.examination showed that smoke was coming from a rupture in the air bag near the point where the bag was connected to the steering wheel.

The bulbs on my vehicle seem to blow out within a month or 2. We tried different bulbs and it still happens. We are spending tons of money replacing headlights and the car is only driven a couple miles a day.

Alarm goes on intermittently while car is parked. This started in february, 2020 and has continued to the present.

The low beam light goes out every time the car is off for the night ,in the morning when turned back on you need to hit the light or the font fender on driver side wher the problem is,every time every morning,i have to do this in order forthe low beam light to work, l/s low beam light..many people have the same problem just go on youtube..

When you put the vehicle in park and press the engine button the car does not turn off, you have to move the shifter back and forth several time to get the car to power down.

The vehicle's car alarm goes off at random times. Generally it seems to happen only in warmer weather and/or only if the key fob is within a certain distance. So far changing batteries in both the car and the key fob have not changed anything. There appears to be flaw in the door mechanisms that make the car think someone is breaking in due to loss of contact when the car has been locked. This only happens when the car is parked and locked by any method. It does not happen if the vehicle is let unlocked or in cooler temperatures. This issue has been ongoing for the past three years.

Headlight on both sides go out often. After having this issue far too many times, i looked online hoping to find a solution and discovered multiple mazda owners are having same problem. Its a malfunction in the mazda that needs to be fixed by mazda this happened ever since i bought the car in 2011 i had to replace the headlight bulbs twice a year at least .

The contact owns a 2011 mazda 6. The contact stated the main wire harness on the driver's side burned out and the vehicle shook when being driven. The contact was concerned that the burnt wire harness could cause a fire or cause the air bags to deploy on their own. The dealer (bakersfield mazda, 3201 cattle dr, bakersfield, ca 93313) stated that the vin was not included in a recall. The manufacturer was notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 58,000.

The passenger headlight will go out on my 2011 mazda 6 even though the bulb and fuses are still intact and working properly.it worked when i parked my car and turned them off manually and then did not come back on the next time i started my car and turned the lights on.it is definitely a flaw from mazda as numerous people have had this same problem.it is not only the 2011 models, search for "mazda headlight issue" and a variety of the mazda 6's are having this same issue.

The ac compressor clutch locked up and caused the belt to make loud screeching noises. Also, something burning could be smelled inside the engine and burnt rubber was flung around the engine compartment. Another issue: read about this a lot because i am experiencing it, the passenger-side dash is melting. Seems they used a cheap material and when it gets above 80 degrees outside the dash begins to melt. It is sticky, leaves a residue on your fingers, and produces an extreme glare. The ac went out while i was in the drive-through ordering food. The dash board has been melting since last summer and has not gotten any better. Stopped melting during the winter and began melting now that it's summer again.

Vehicle has a 3.7l v6 duratec engine designed by ford.i was entering the highway at about 55mph, check engine light went on, then vehicle shut off, and i lost both power and steering.was able to get to side of the highway without crashing.steam/smoke was coming out of the hood and the temp gauge was pinned at h.dealership advised that coolant had gotten mixed with oil and engine was destroyed.cost to repair - $7400 used $13k new engine.told it was not due to any neglect or maintenance issue.it was a water pump failure.there is a design flaw in this engine.the water pump is integrated into the engine and timing chain.when the pump fails it damages the engine, allowing coolant to mix with the oil.numerous ford and mazda owners have had this problem but because it usually happens at or after 100k miles the manufacturers do not report it.they will also do nothing to help the customer who is left with a huge repair bill or a totaled car.please help me and other owners.i have research with the names of other owners who had the same problem with their ford or mazda.

My 2011 mazda 6 had the exhaust system become detached twice within 3.5 years.i purchased the car new.i heard it the first time as i was driving slowly, luckily.i was able to pull over and make it home so i could tie it up with rope to get to a repair shop.the 2nd time i was pulling out of home when i heard the same scraping noise.i luckily could pull back home to tie it up and to get to a repair shop.when i was at the repair show last time, the mechanic said that this is a recurring problem with mazda 6 bolts rotting out.i am just glad i was driving on the highway and higher speeds when this happened.it could have caused a fire.

The bulbs on my vehicle seem to blow out within a month or 2. We tried different bulbs and it still happens. We are spending tons of money replacing headlights and the car is only driven a couple miles a day.

I purchased this car in may 2016 with 68k miles on it. First month replaced both headlights because the drivers side went out.figured ok no problem normal situation, replaced both due to good practice you don't just replace one.fast forward 3 months later, think it was almost thanksgiving.it was getting dark, and i figured ok it seems way darker than it should. I pulled over to realize, i had no headlights.i proceeded up the road to where i knew an autozone was, and purchased a new set of sylvania long life bulbs, i think, i just know they were expensive, about $120.so i whipped out the credit card and purchased them along with a screw driver and pliers and proceeded to destroy my new carhartsweatshirt laying in the parking lot jamming my arms in the wheel wells to replace these bulbs.yeah this was real fun considering it started to rain.anyway, i won that battle, but little did i know i was going to lose the war!please see word document attached for rest of this nightmare.i ran out of space trying to describe it here.

We have replaced passenger side low beam and driver side lowbeam lights since march 2015. After reading countless reviews over last couple of months, many many people have replaced more often than this. There is an obvious design flaw because a slight rap on affected headlight will make it temporarily work. There should be a recall by mazda to fix this issue very soon..

Have to replace both low beam headlights every year. Now something has burned out or melted and a simple bulb replacement will not fix the constant reoccurring issue.

I was pulled over my local police for no head lamp. They let me off with a warning. I searched the internet the next day and found that this problem is a known defect by mazda and they are doing nothing about it. I found over 4 dozen testimonials from car owners describing the exact same problem on the exact same model. They were told by mazda north america to "rap on the plastic headlamp cover" and that would turn on the lamp....which it does. In my opinion, mazda is negligent in correcting a known defect.

Takata recall :i have a mazda 6 2011 2.5v and the driver side low beam light goes out every single night i drive and i have to tap it really hard to bring it back on and i saw thousands of comments regarding this issue from mazda 6 2011-2013 owners in social media

Car is new, less than one month since purchase. Issue has occurred with every fill-up.when filling up with gas, as soon as or near tank is full, gas spews out of tank. Took to mazda dealer on 11/19/2011 and they cannot find what the cause is. Seems like a highly dangerous problem to have gas shooting from the tank. Also, it could be a faulty valve that may malfunction in the case of a rollover, creating a highly combustible situation.

Fuel overflowed during a routine fuel fill up at a national gas chain in the philadelphia area.gas continued to spew out uncontrollably until the pump was manually shut off by hand.

I have had an ongoing issue since i purchased my mazda 6 2011, if i slow down or stop for a traffic light and then try to accelerate the gas pedal is to the floor and the car doesn't move, then out of nowhere it will accelerate. I was told the voltage in the gas pedal censor and the censor in the engine were not the same voltage, both were replaced but i still continue to have problems and the dealership cannot find out what the problem is. My car has been back in to mazda 3 times but no solution, as this is extremely dangerous in heavy traffic i wish someone could figure this out before i get into a serious accident.

Takata inflators.mazda recall #: 7214c nhtsa recall #: 14v114000i was never notified of the fuel tank recall and now it is closed.

Parked vehicle on friday and engaged the emergency brake on vehicle. Went to leave for work on monday in a.m. And when started to give vehicle gas, the vehicle was hesitant and then jerked forward making a loud chunk noise. As i drove down road, approximately 2 driveways, there was a wobbling noise coming from the rear of vehicle. I immediately stopped because it sounded as if a wheel was loose.i did a walk around the vehicle and could see something not quite right on the right rear brake rotor (4 wheel disc brakes on vehicle). Upon further inspection, i noted that there was a piece of what appeared to be my brake pad melted to the rotor. I did not drive vehicle further but contacted local mazda dealership. I arranged vehicle tow to crossroads mazda in prince george va. Upon inspection by their technician, they found that my emergency brake cable was locked up and this is what caused the problems. My brake pad on the right rear rotor had disintegrated and large chunks were completely missing.crossroads arranged warranty repairs to replace my rear brake pads and emergency brake cable in the vehicle and to clean the right rear rotor. Since these repairs, the vehicle seems to be driving better than it ever did. Crossroads employees were super great to deal with and i felt took good care of me.on several times prior to this incident, i had commented on the smell coming from under my vehicle when driven for some time. Obviouslyemergency brake had been locked up for some time.

The 2011 mazda 6 has a hard shift from 1st to 2nd gear leading to a hard jerk to all passengers. The car seems to jump at times or feels like some one hit it from the back. I have checked online, and it seems to be a problem with many mazda 6.

When i back up and stop with my foot on the brake i shift the car to drive and it feels and sound like the rear end is coming out.

Rear control arm broke off the rear subfame due heavy rust. I had to replace the entire rear subframe plus both control arms. This incident occurred while i was driving! now i find out that the front end is shot as well and that mazda is only recalling the front subframe and not the rear and i want to know why. Somebody could have been killed. The repair cost me $700 plus rental fees for a vehicle. I had my vehicle in the shop for 16days. It cost me $1,135. I have the invoices.

I was driving in the rain, the road was wet and as i attempted to stop the brakes were locked. The brake pedal would not depress while trying to stop in the rain. As i swerved to avoid a fatality i continued to tap on the brake before the brake would unlock. This is the third incident that i have encountered since i purchased this car in 2011. I have taken this vehicle to the dealership and each time i have paid for brake issues, rotors being warped, brakes scrubbing together not holding. I have attempted to get a resolution but noone has assisted with this issue.

I was on a street in the city waiting for the light to change.suddenly i lost control of the car, the card accelerated himself. I try to and put brake to the bottom but anyway i hit the car in front of me.much of the front of my car is broken.the other car was damaged in the back of their car.the police made a report of what happened.

Was driving on interstate at 70mph and applied breaks, heard a bang from area of passenger front side and lost control of the steering of the vehicle causing it swerve into the adjacent lane on my right.i narrowly avoided being hitting and being hit by other vehicles and was able get the car to the shoulder event without having proper control steering as the car would only steer to the right.upon inspecting the vehicle it was discovered that the bang was the passenger side subframe cracking due to heavy deterioration from rust.the car is underivable.i contacted mazda and discovered that the previous years of this model have a recall for this subframe deterioration issue for the same exact part #.i was also informed that the car cannot be fixed as because of the part # is not available and has/is on backorder for many months.this defect is a huge safety risk, in my case i am very lucky this did not result in fatal accident traveling at 70mph on interstate 80.i fear other might not be so lucky.the subframe recall most certainly needs to be expanded to at least 2011 and subsequent years that use this same subframe.additionally, at minimum courtesy to it customers mazda should be altering its customers to have their subframes inspected as this is a very dangerous situation with many vehicle owners un aware they are driving ticking time bombs with subframes that are deteriorating prematurely and can lose control of steering at any moment.

Recently while driving down a straight road about 35 mph my steering started to failin order to keep the car going straight the wheel has to be turned to the left and held in place. The indicator lights came on that my brake assist system is off/failing. The car slightly jerks to the right when trying to stay going straight. There was noise coming from under the car when turning and going in reverse. Upon inspection for the body shop the subframe is prematurely rotting and that is why i lost proper steering along why the other issues occurred too. The car is inoperable and the subframe is not holding as it should

I was driving 40 mph and all of the sudden i heard a loud nice and my car was going to the right while my steering wheel was straight, in order to drive straight i had to turn my steering wheel to the left. While i made turns i would here loud noises. Also my traction light turned on and the breaks were not working well which made me slide and caused the tires to spin when accelerating and that's when i pulled over to a safe spot and called a tow truck. I took my car to the car shop and they told me the whole sub frame was rusted and needed to be replaced.

The rear subframe has excessive rust and mechanic reported it would not pass yearly inspection unless replaced. Front subframe had the same problem in 2019 and was replaced through mazda recall. Mechanic reports the rear subframe has the same exact nature of rust.

While driving to work on 290 in the morning traffic doing speeds around (30-50mph) the steering wheel began progressively rotating counter-clockwise with the vehicle pulling drastically to the right. The dynamic stability control turned off as if the vehicle was out of control and the vehicle acted as if it were on icy/slick surfaces no longer providing support to the driver. The steering/braking system began to struggle nearly causing an accident on the expressway causing a fishtail with the abs attempting to engage. At this point the steering wheel was registering straight’ with the steering wheel turned approximately 90 degrees left. thankfully i was able to exit the expressway and pull into a just tires shop, who informed me the front subframe has rusted completely thru and even twisted due to the corrosion. Now my 2011 mazda6 is not drivable and hopefully nhtsa will force mazda to do a recall for subframes before someone is killed in an accident.

While driving on the highway at about 55 mph i heard a loud noice and the car suddenly started to swerve, the steering became difficult. I was able to slow down and pull off the highway and to a parking lot. During the ride at a much slower speed around 20-25 very loud noises came from the right front of the car especially, when the the wheel was turned. The vehicle is not drivable and had to be towed. The sub frame rusted out and the lower control arm pushed the right front tire into the back of the wheel well.

I was on a street in the city waiting for the light to change.suddenly i lost control of the car, the card accelerated himself. I try to and put brake to the bottom but anyway i hit the car in front of me.much of the front of my car is broken.the other car was damaged in the back of their car.the police made a report of what happened.

Subframe on passenger side has rusted completely through, exposing a lower control arm bolt. This has occurred on the passenger side. There is a recall for 09/10 mazda 6. Don't know why this isn't expanded to cover this mazda 6 model as i'm sure the subframe is the same throughout.

The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Eich mazda (1933 w division st, st cloud, mn 56301, (320) 251-1737) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Rear cross subframe is very rotten and my mechanic told me not safe to drive car. Mazda had recall on front but not on rear. Is made of same material i look at line and a lot of people have same problem i hope you can help us with this problem thank you and i hope you can investigate this major issue

The rear subframe has excessive rust and mechanic reported it would not pass yearly inspection unless replaced. Front subframe had the same problem in 2019 and was replaced through mazda recall. Mechanic reports the rear subframe has the same exact nature of rust.

I am writing this letter because i recently learned about a safety issue with my car during a routine oil change on thursday, july 19, 2018. I was made aware by the mechanic that the subframe on my 2011 mazda6 is covered in rust and should be replaced. Upon trusted inspections from two different auto shops, the result is the same: i need a new subframe because it is extremely dangerous if it broke away. I bought my car new in 2011, so i am shocked that a major structural component of my car is now compromised, putting my safety at risk. The subframe is on nationwide back order, which tells me (and both mechanics echoed each other) that this is a much bigger problem. My daily commute to my job has me driving on the interstate, at 70 mph, at a total of approximately 80 miles per day. I no longer feel safe when driving my car. I did some online research and discovered mazda had over 20 reports from owners who say rust in their 2009-2010 mazda 6s has caused, or nearly caused, a steering failure. This extended even further into other model models for subframe rot deemed dangerous. In 2016, mazda had to recall 190,000 cx-7s for a similar issue wherein corrosion was causing suspension failure. Days later, 2.2 million mazdas were recalled worldwide. I called mazda's customer service, but they declined to help me because 'i didn't continue my relationship with mazda", after my warranty was up. However, while under warranty, i only took my car to mazda for service because i knew i had to due to the warranty, despite their complete incompetence. During the time my car was under warranty and was serviced at mazda, they installed my driver's windshield wiper backwards. It popped off the next day during a downpour. Two times they didn't close my hood fully (once left oil cap on top of my engine). For these reasons, i sought out a more reliable mechanic after warranty.

The contact owns a 2011 mazda 6. The contact stated that the frame was rusted and the entire vehicle was corroded. The vehicle was driven to mazda mall of georgia (3546 ga-20, buford, ga 30519, (678) 394-3085) where it was diagnosed that a new frame needed to be installed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 89,914.

The vehicle started to produce tire screeching under normal driving conditions and appeared to be out of alignment with the steering wheel to the left while driving straight. Within a few miles, it became difficult to control, and then the dynamic stability control off and traction loss lights came on. Upon inspection at an auto repair shop, the right front side of the frame had severely rusted. I was advised that it was unsafe to drive. There was no other rust or damage on the vehicle.

I was in a crash where my front end was easily damaged and passenger air bags not deployed

The right side of the engine cradle rotted away, causing the right lower control arm to break away and loosing control of the vehicle.i was only going approx. 15 mph on a side street and applying the brakes when this accorded. The vehicle only have approx. 85k miles on it.

Front suspension subframe is completely rusted disabling the vehicle and making it unsafe for operation. Complete subframe will need to be replaced due to the severity of rust and corrosion before vehicle can be operational again.

The dash of my car is melting - a known problem in the mazda 2011, as well as other makes and models, that is exacerbated by the heat.i leave in south central texas, where we see a lot of heat. I called our mazda dealership to ask what could be done about it.they said to just wait until mazda issues a recall.in addition, they said they have had these parts on order since december and still haven't gotten them in.a recall needs to be issued and repairs need to be made.the dash becomes sticky and shiny, which in turn reflects light up on to the windshield. Visibility is then cut drastically trying to see through the reflection from the dash.

The contact owns a 2011 mazda mazda6. The contact stated the vehicle failed the state inspection due to corrosion. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer north penn mazda (181 bethlehem pike, colmar, pa 18915, (267)956-1160) where it was diagnosed with needing the underbody to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired as of yet. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 19v323000 (structure, suspension) however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that they were unable to provide assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 88,259.

On october 2, 2018, during the regularly scheduled 6-month maintenance and oil change, mechanic at mazda dealership notified me of severe corrosion on front and rear sub frames. Service director notified me that the vehicle will not be returned to me due to safety issue and he was going to contact mazda corporate on my behalf. On friday october 5, 2018, dealership notified me that mazda was going to repair it at no charge to me. I was contacted again today october 9, stating that my vehicle passed the initial inspection test, there is no perforation developed from corrosion, the car is safe to drive and i should come over to pick it up. After lengthy discussion expressing all my safety concerns (plus the fact that there are currently more than 30 reports investigated with the same issue), mazda agreed to replace it at goodwill. I really hope nhtsa can create a pressure on mazda to start the recall, because there are numerous drivers of effected models that do not know about this serious safety issue.

The contact owns a 2011 mazda mazda6. The contact stated that there was an abnormal sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 19v323000 (structure, suspension) for the front cross member however, the rear cross member was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer and an unknown dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 108,000.

Mazda has recalled and replaced front sub-frames for corrosion related issues.mazda has not recalled rear sub-frames which have the same corrosion related issues from improper steel quality or fault manufacturing of the steel components.upon inspection of rear sub-frame, multiple holes in the rear sub-frame were observed, including multiple holes at the passenger side rear spring mount which significantly compromises the structural integrity.i am now afraid to drive the car at high speeds in fear of catastrophic failure and a crash.mazda dealership has stated it is not under warranty or recall and will cost me approximately $4,000.00 to replace the entire rear-subframe.this is not a maintenance item in my opinion on a less than 10 year old vehicle i bought new, and is a defect from the manufacturer similar to the front sub-frames.upon investigation on the internet, numerous mazda6 owners who had front sub-frames replaced also have same issue.

The rear subframe is badly rotting out.there is a large hole in the subframe next to the spring where it us about to break through. The garage said it us not safe to drive. Same issue with the front frame and it was replaced under recall.now the car been sitting in the garage for a couple of months and no parts available. The manufacturer offers no help.

The contact owns a 2011 mazda 6. The contact received a recall notification in october of 2016 for nhtsa campaign number: 16v593000 (suspension). The dealer (continental mazda of naperville, 2363 aurora ave, naperville, il 60540) stated that the parts were unavailable for repair. Rear cross member is totally rusted out'just like the front cross member was that had a recall. Was driving and the right rear wheel totally collapsed under the car while driving at 60 mph. Could have caused an accident. Rear cross member broke in pieces

Rear cross subframe is very rotten and my mechanic told me not safe to drive car. Mazda had recall on front but not on rear. The contact owns a 2011 mazda mazda6. The contact stated that while her son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel was turned to the right inadvertently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed that there were holes in the subframe bracket. The contact was advised to contact the local dealer for assistance. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the dealer informed the contact that the subframe bracket was installed prior to a recall repair as a temporary fix. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that they would approve the replacement of the front subframe, sway bar, and arms only as part of the warranty. The failure mileage was 103,000.

Sometime around the beginning of june i thought my children had spilled something on the passenger dash by the windshield.it turns out it is not a spill, the dash is sticky, shiny, and it is soft and melting.i can stick my nail into the dashboard; it is like hot black asphalt where you walk with heels and the heel goes into the black asphalt.since i realized this, the area that is soft, sticky/melting is progressing farther down the dash toward the glove box.my car has 46,000 miles and is out of warranty with mazda.additionally i had a headlight on the front driver side out; after researching on youtube, i found out that i can bang the clear headlight shield with my hand and the light turns back on.these are the two issues i am alerting about as there are numerous accounts of corroboration on the web and youtube from mazda owners about both these same problems.

Mazda will only replace dashboards for melting and sticky dashboards. They knowthere is a problem with the material used. They will not replace dashboards that are cracking . My concern is the cracking is over passenger side airbag. I fell this could be a problem. The airbag should not be compromised and contained in afaulty cracked dash. I believe toyota and lexus had the same problem but they owed upto it and replaced dashboards that were melting and cracking. Mazda refuses.

Dashboard became sticky as if melting

The door lock mechanism on my drivers side rear door does not lock completely. It has to be manually pushed in about 4-5mm in order to engage the lock. After locking, the door can be unlocked after pulling the outside handle 2 times, setting the alarm off. This is extremely unsafe if traveling through dangerous areas or if the vehicle were to be approached by someone with an ill intent while the vehicle is occupied.

My mazda 6 interior dash is melting in 74 degree weather in va. The dash is melting and making a sticky mess that may cause a glare on windshield while driving. Car is stationary.

One day we noticed the dash was becoming more and more sticky and didnā€™t know what was happening until watching a recent video about mazdaā€™s having a melting dash.

The dash panel on my passenger side is melting, sticky, and cracked eventhpu i've used the recommended care procedures.

Melting dashboard. Causing glare and some weird smell..

I had to replace the batteriess on both remotes that open the doors at least 4 times a year since i owned the car. I feel this is a safety hazard since i can not get in my car unless i use the key. I also have no access to the emergency button on the remote with a dead battery.

Melting dashboard. Causing glare and distraction from driving.

My 2011 mazda6 is in excellent condition.however, the dashboard on the passenger side has and is melting causing a very bad glare that obstructs ones view.i've read there's been many complaints and class action lawsuits.mazda needs to do what's right for their consumers and put their safety first!my son is using this car for college and just sent me pictures of the glare he sees.something needs to be done before lives are lost.

Frame/engine cradle has hole next to lower control arm due to rust.

Passenger side dashboard is getting a sticky surface on top. The top layer almost seems like it is melting. It is just starting to get sticky and it is just on top. The stickiness has just started in the last 2 weeks. The sticky surface is causing a glare and is affecting the visibility when driving. Further, the dashboard cracked all the way down after having the air bag replaced due to the recall. No pressure/damage/hits has occurred on the dashboard by consumer and yet it cracked all the way down in january 2018.

Melted dashboard. I've seen on news about company having them replaced.

The contact owned a 2011 mazda 6. While the vehicle was shifted into reverse, it accelerated on its own. The brake pedal was engaged, but the vehicle continued to accelerate and crashed into the garage door. The driver suffered injuries to the right arm that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.the failure mileage was 50,000.

I was driving down the hwy and my sunglasses holder fell open was in the way of my rearview mirror and when i went to close it popped off and flew at me spring and all. My mazda 6 is a 2011and there are no recalls for this problem, but a lot of reports regarding this problem. I believe mazda should have to pay for me to install a new one. And there should be a recall on them. Very hazardous when youre driving down the road and the springs flies off and lands on me the driver let alone the whole door falling to my feet and im driving down the road.
