Takata recall - i just received a recall notice on our 2007 mazda 6 passenger side airbags. The notice said thatno solution was available yet. And, they suggest no one ride or sit in the passenger seat while driving. Are you serious? i appreciate the late safety notice and their liability coverage by buryingthat statement on the back page of a business letter, however, what about offering us consumers options? 1. Disable the passenger side airbag at our choice and their expense until a replacement part can be installed at their expense? 2. Subsidizing the cost of a safe rental car until ours is safe to drive? 3. Paying us full value on our used vehicle in exchange for the sale of another vehicle that is safeto drive.i have called the dealer ship and none of these or any options are available to the consumer. The car is rendered useless and of zero value at the moment. Moreover, if anyone sits in the passenger seat and we get in a real accident, the run the risk of more injury, pain, andsuffering due to the airbag than the accident.if you look at the numbers, i believe wearing your seatbelt properly provides the highest percentage of safety in an impact. It sounds to me like this airbag is a defective part that can cause hurt either inside or outside of an accident. It needs to be removed and disabled from the vehicle right away. At the very least, this notice should say, bring it in and we'll remove it or disable it asap.

I currently own a 2007 mazda6 and have an airbag indicator light on all the time. Yesterday i received a letter from mazda informing me ofan airbag recall. The date on theletter is listed as february 2015. I tried their website and can'tget an e-mail to anyone. They don'tlist a phone number to call. They do however give youre-mail address.so this leaves meout in the cold with onlyone way to seek help and it is from your dept.the letter indicates that in certain situations the airbag could deploy. In the letter itstates to wait for the second letter because parts aren't available. This makes mysafety at risk and seems as though mazda isn't reallyconcerned. We received a notice for a recall on the airbag last march 2015. We contacted the local mazda dealership in august 2015 asking when we would have our airbags replaced.we were told that they had no idea when the part would come in. Maybe in 2016. We are driving around with an unsafe airbag. Has nhtsa set a deadline for replacement of the airbags? this delay is scary and frustration. Mazda is in no hurrywhat steps can we take to the airbags replace now?

Takata recall, mazda dealer, has failed to implement recalls in a timely manner. Scheduled service for recall repair. Delivered to dealer, returned later to pick up vehicle and was informed they did not have repair part components on hand. They agree to notify me when available to reschedule repair. Have received three notices from mazda since, asking me if i no longer had the vehicle. Never contacted to reschedule repair.
I had taken my car to the dealership three times in 2012 because the airbag icon had come on.the 3rd time i had it in was in march of 2012 just before the warranty expired.at no time were they able to find theproblem. With the more recent recall because of airbag problems, i asked if i could bring my car in again to be checked as the airbag icon had remained onmost of the time.i took it in on 10/09/14.the problem was found, but mazda would not cover the cost of over $1000.00.i am on a fixed income and not able to pay for the repair.mazda's solution was to remove or disengage my airbag. (i don't know which)i was told not to get into an accident as my airbag would not deploy.i do not feel this is a fair or safe solution to the problem. Can you help?

I received a recall notice on february 17 that the air bag inflater needs to be replaced because it is among the millions of takata air bags that could explode into shrapnel and injure or kill the driver, two months later, i'm still waiting for parts to come, and mazda says it has no idea how soon parts will be available. This leaves me driving a car that is potentially dangerous -- even fatal. Worse, we want to sell this car, which leaves me with two options: don't tell prospective buyers about the recall, which puts them at risk because of a sin of omission on my part,or go ahead and tell them about the air bag issue and greatly diminish my chances of selling the car (and/or reduce the value). I guess my best option is to keep my mouth shut and sell the car to a dealer because they are not required by law to disclose that there are unfixed safety recalls on used vehicles. Anyone buying a used car should keep this in mind and check to see if there any open recalls.

It seems to occur at warmer temperatures and goes away and colder temperatures.the code that comes back is b2234 and this is associated with the driver's airbag.i believe this has occurred because of the replacement of the driver's side airbag replacement that was done on my vehicle due to the takata recall.

Takata recall - my complaint is with the local mazda dealer. I received the recall notice and followed the instructions to set up an appointment. When i arrived for the appointment i was told that the work could not be performed because the parts necessary were not ordered. In my opinion the dealership handled this appointment and the follow up poorly. The repair has not yet been accomplished due to my busy schedule and the lack of communication on behalf of the dealership. I am not sure what is considered a "reasonable amount of time" but in my opinion this should have been taken care of weeks ago. As of today i have an appointment scheduled for wednesday february 22nd.
2nd complaint on this board. As of february 2015 we are still waiting for mazda to send us a 2nd letter which will allow us to make an appoitment with the dealer to get the air bag fixed.due to the seriousness of this situation we have not driven the car since feb. What exactly is a reasonable amount of time to handle a recall ??mazda cannot even give me a time frame when i call to find out when we will receive the 2nd letter.our state had a report on this recently and the governer told us not to be alarmed and it was ok to drive our cars. So tell me how metal fragments released into the air from the airbag is safe - and how long is a resononable amount of time?why has our goverment not done anything to expedite this situation ?

I have been involved in the massive recall of airbags for almost a year now and still cannot order a replacement part for my car. I have tried to call many dealerships and they all have told me they cannot order it for my vin # yet.i am being forced to either drive a dangerous, life threatening car made by mazda or rent one for months on end. Either way this is taking way too long and is way too risky and disgraceful. If anything happens while i am waiting for this remedy i will be contacting a lawyer.

Manufacturer refuses to replace the failed (recalled) takata airbag. For about 2 years mazda has sent letters indicating i have to wait. The attached is the most recent letter indicating they are not fixing the problem yet. I like to force the manufacturer to perform the required work so that the car will be safe again. Mazda has addmitted to the fault, but is not fixing it.. The fault with takata airbags was known in 2014 and now in 2016 mazda still refuses to fix the car. I have asked the local dealer (don miller) multiple times about a date for the fix, but was told to wait. I don't feel safe driving a car with a known airbag problem, but have no choice since no one will buy my car that is not fixed yet. Please help me and force manufacturers to actually perform the recall work.

Takata recall, over a year ago i did have a airbag recall for my inflator , which was for my mazda 6 2007, i did have one of them replaced, not sure if it was the passenger side or the driver side now, but only one was replaced at the time because that was all that was recalled at that time, the dealer told me i would have to wait for the other side to be recall, so what if i had a accident in the meantime? the other airbag wouldn't work, because it hadn't been replaced?not very good!the dealer didn't seem to thrilled with the whole inflator recall thing and didn't have very good things to say about it, which made me worry about if the darn thing would work at all!well not too long after i got the second recall note for the other side inflator to be fixed i was in a car accident! great!well, i was hit from behind at 70mph, the car was hit on the right side and i was thrown into a spin, now, i was not hit in the front, nor did i actually hit dead on in the front of anything! but my windshield was cracked.my right side airbag did deploy and save me from a massive head injury! the car did as it was designed to do in a backend collision, it folded up, the back end took the blunt of the 70mph force, and saved me! i walked out of the car! but the car was totaled! my only question and it was a question of a few other people... Was why did not the front end air bad deploy? was it not supposed to? because it had not been it hit hard enough? or because it needed to be replaced?not sure?all i can say is that thank goodness in a way i got hit from behind and not in the front, because i am not so sure if i could of depended on the front airbags working correctly!so my accident may have had a totally different outcome!
Takata recall. We keep getting recall notices for the airbag replacement but when we try to schedule an appointment they say they do not have the parts. This has been on going for at least 9 months! our local mazda dealer is dennis dillion mazda, boise, idaho.

I have got a auto airbag settlement letter
Mazda 6 sedan 2007 this car was purchased in oklahoma oct 2007 with 14,000 miles & is on the 2nd owner. Which is me. I am in a dispute with mazda because the rear side air bag is defective. The vehicle gets an on board lamp stating that the air bag has been deactivated. The car has been into the dealership 11 times since 1st occurance was discovered may 2008. I'm requesting a buy back/lemon law. I am getting denied by the dealer & mazda. I have children & feel all safety features should work. The car now has 81k miles & dealer has not charged me for this at all. But i feel it's a safety issue & should not be on the road. I have all documents & in the process of filing this with bbb autoline. If anyone with this agency would like info let me know. This is a safety hazard & unfortunate that the dealer/manufacturer can turn their back on this. Thanks
The first failure occurred in july 2007. The vehicle was involved in a driver's side impact crash on thehighway. Neither of the side curtain airbags deployed, but there were no injuries during this incident, only property damage to the entire driver's side of the vehicle from the back bumper to the front bumper. There was nothing done to investigate the potential failure of the airbag deployment. The second failure occurred in july of 2009. The vehicle was involved in a direct side to the driver's side of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle sustained an injury to their back, left ribs, and head. The driver's side airbags failed to deploy during the accident. The body shop that was responsible for repairing the damage said that they could not determine whether or not the airbags should have deployed and whether or not there was any malfunction with the airbags. The vehicle manufacturer was contacted and they said they could not provide that type of information to determine whether or not the airbags should have deployed and there was a malfunction. The driver of the vehicle is still being treated for all injuries sustained during the accident.

The low beam headlights on the vehicle are known to go out because of a 'harness issue' after research numerous other mazda owners are having the same isssue. This is whole stationary, in motion , city, highway, doesn't matter. A quick remedy is hitting the light and it'll turn back on. I received a ticket on a military base because of this. Im
The contact owns a 2007 mazda 6. The contact stated thatthe passenger side air bag light illuminated when the vehicle was started. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v382000 (air bags) and had the vehicle repaired by the dealer. While driving the vehicle home from the dealer, the contact noticed the air bag light illuminated and contacted the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vin was unknown. The contact owns a 2007 mazda, mazda 6 sport. The contact was driving approximately 25 mph when the vehicle stalled without warning. A jump start was performed and the engine resumed normally. The failure recurred six times. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer three times for diagnosis and the battery was replaced each time. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 29,000.
I have an 07 mazda6 that i recently had to replace the 2 battery cables going from the positive terminal to the alternator and the fuse box located next to the battery (it's one cable but it splits in two if you trace it).several months before i replaced it, i noticed quite a bit of corrosion on the battery terminal. I would clean it off w water & baking powder, but it would come back. Then my car started having trouble starting. I took the batt out and cleaned the terminal, but when i took the cable bracket off of the term it disintegrated from massive corrosion. I eventually traced the corrosion several inches back on the cable while removing the protective rubber hosing. Took it to the dealer who informed me they'd have to order a new wiring harness and replace all the cables in that bundle (there are other various wires that are all "bundled" together) at a cost of well over $1000. Took it to a mechanic who separated the cables from the bundle, removed and replaced w better quality cables. On online forums i've noticed other owners who have the same problem. Looks like mazda used substandard cable for the positive side. Also, had to replace the battery due to it constantly being drained and not recharged sufficiently. Corrosion was a distinct blue/greenish color. Mazda should address this and replace these. They don't even need to replace the entire wiring harness as the dealer stated!
Consumer wants to know if there is any recall 2007 mazda 6 and is trying to get an owners manual.the power windows did not work using the master control switch. *njthe keyless entry system, the transmitter and the security indicator light on the instrument panel were all inoperative.
For it having so few miles60k and having been serviced with synthetic transmission oil, this car shift hard from first and second at regular temperature. On cold starts car shift harder and at times turns off or losses power.
All of a sudden my cooling fan modulecontinues to run after car has been turned off (can last anywhere from 5-10 minutes).based off of the reviews i'm confused as to why there wasn't a recall for this issue? called local mazda dealership and they told me it would be $90 for them to just look at it.
Mazda 2007 mazda 6 with severe corrosion to engine subframe posing a very serious safety concern if breaks while driving. Current mazda 6 in question had less than 100k miles and was spotted by an oil change technician. I've asked a couple mechanics and was informed the car would be a possible death trap to myself or others if not fixed quickly. All parties are amazed at amount of corrosion, internet searches suggest this is a very common problem and already a recall in place for other year mazda 6's.
Engine cradle subframe rusting/rusted out prematurely. Holds engine in place. Stationary.
The car has very serious issues with the transmission. When driving it jerks violently when switching gears from 2nd to 3rd gear and some times to the 4th gear.the dashboard some times shows the car has switched to the 3rd gear while the car is still revving abnormally high in 2nd gear. The transmission has some very serious and potentially deadly issues. This issues tend to occur frequently when accelerating from a stop. (the car's acceleration is very weak, i don't know if this is related to the issue or not )
The contact owns a 2007 mazda mazda6. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, there was a loud abnormal noise coming from the front end of the vehicle without warning. The approximate failure mileage was 119,869 and the current mileage was 120,000.
I was drive my fiance car and on my way home i start hearing a ticking noise. When i got home i check the oil and then the next day i got it towed to the mazda dealership to be check because it was still under warranty.they had the car for a week after the second day i call to see what was going on i talk to the head mechanic his name was [xxx] he said"i should have no problem because we taking the top part of the motor off and the motor been well taking care of so your warranty will be good. The next day i get a call saying we need oil change record i sent all the record but two cause i had time to do it myself and i never save the receipt cause it was a new car. I get a call three days later talking about my warranty was denied cause of no oil so when i was told that i call the dealership to talk to [xxx] the head mechanic to find out he was let go. The reason why there is a nice time period in my claim cause i didn't have money for a lawyer but a lady i was talking to from penndot gave me your website.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
The airbag deflated when i was involved in a car accident september 25, 2015. I suffered a fractured sternum from the airbag and severely multiple fractures in right ankle. This car was totaled. The accident was not my fault, the other car moved into my lane and i struck it head on.
Interior component of enginefailed, causing the engine to throw a rod at 66,000 miles. Not normal wear and tear, dealer & corporation are refusing to cover cost of repairs, nor are they willing to investigate an apparent manufacture error, or accept full responsibility.
All of a sudden our car started making a horrific sound, especially when accelerating. We took it to a mechanic who had to replace the timing chain kit and tensioner assemblies. Doing simple online searches for this problem, this appears to be a major issue with a lot of mazda vehicles, yet still there has not been a recall covering this issue.
The o-ring use to seal the oil filter housing cannot be sealed to the body of the car unless proper caution is taken. The consequence could lead to oil loss and destruction of the engine.
Mazda6 purchased - current mileage 84808- discovered oil leak at engine rear main seal. Service mgr offered to correct problem. Oil leak not noticeable-oil dropping on under engine shield and coagulating. Low mileage might indicate problem existed at time of manufacture. If so, replacement of vehicle is proper action on part of manufacturer/seller. Oil changes have been done frequently and on time, however mazda is refusing to help with cost due to warranty expiration and the fact the car did not have a oil change at the dealership every time. The mazda warranty does not explain that the oil filter has to be mazda brand it states that it should be mazda compatible. Due to this inconsistency many mazda's are having engine failure such as mine. My vehicle is still in my driveway, awaiting a new engine, that i cannot afford. Please help!! for everyone reading this that is looking to buy a mazda don't!!! mazda is a horrible car!

2007 mazda6 wagon with 1900 miles engine stalled while driving in gear and under load at approximately 3500 rpms, roughly one minute after startup.gas tank was 3/4 full, weather was about 80f, 80% rh. With engine stopped car was brought to a stop with brakes, transmission put in park, and engine restarted immediately by switching ignition to engage starter motor.
2007 mazda6. Consumer states problem with clutch *tgwthe consumer stated the clutch pedal would vibrate when it was depressed. The dealer replaced the clutch and flywheel. However, the vibration continued.the problem was then diagnosed as a bent connecting rod in the engine. The vehicle has an aftermarket cold air intake. The dealer stated while driving through a large puddle or creek the aftermarket intake sucked in water which cased the rod to bend and therefore the warranty was denied. The consumer didn't believe that the intake had sucked up water. The consumer stated other mechanics said it could not have sucked up a substantial amount of water.
Purchased brand new 07 mazda 6with 41 miles on it on june 30, 2007.as of july 2, 2007 was returned to the dealership service dept with only 150 miles.heard a rattle coming from the area of the converter, and also a high pitched spealing coming from the engine area when the vehicle was stopped and only in reverse and drive and when the vehicle gets hot.service dept. Repaired some springs and a doughnut seal in exaust pipe going to the manifold.picked car back up on july 5, 2007 with now 170 miles on it, drove home about 7 to 8 miles and heard the same rattling and high pitched squealing, only it was worse, also now the vehicle feels like it's sluggish, and noticed that while driving once again back to the service dept. That day, while on the highway driving 55 mph and trying to accel, the vehicle shifts from 5th down to 2nd and then tries to go back up, also redlines while trying to accel.july 6, 2007 called service dept. They told me it's the catalytic converter, i asked about the shifting problem, they told me they didn't feel the vehicle had a problem with the transmission.my vehicle now has 225 miles on it since i left it.the service dept. Is putting on more miles than i am, and i have a brand new car that i have only been able to drive 2 days out of 7.
Mazda6 2007 march: car loses power for no apparent reason and with no warning. It may be a faulty egr valve. When failure happens the car will not accelerate. This has happened on narrow road and on motorway when overtaking. Both times other road users have had to take evasive action to avoid hitting my car as it slowed.

The low beam light of my mazda 6 is extremely dim, mostly on the rainy day. People sitting next to me always asked me did i actually turn on the light? i saw the mazda forum online, people other than me always complained the light too. It really affect the safety problem.
When is the government going to take the responsibility to readdress plastic headlights that cannot withstand normal use, cloud up, and create a safety hazard. My mazda no longer has normal light output due to inferior lens.this is a vital safety part of a car that should last substantially longer than the 7 years i have owned the car.yes, i have tried chemicals. This is a safety issue; not an exterior trim problem.cost to replace is unreasonable.it is almost like driving with no lights at all at this point!

There were no events prior to the event other than regular use and on time maintenance.the failure happens when ever we put gas in our gas tank.after filling the tank (no matter if its full or empty) the car will not start.we have to put the key in the ignition while pressing hard on the gas, and then take off.the car will sputter for about a mile and then will run normally.the only time we have had trouble starting it, is when we put gas in it.we have taken the car to an authorized mechanic who flushed out the fuel injection system, and that still did not work.
After filling up gas, the entire car smelled like gas. We parked the and got out to check. There was a car fast and prominent leak near the gasket of the fuel tank. There are recalls about it online but not for my specific car even though it is hazardous to drive.

I have an automatic 07 mazda 6 s grand touring that is having a problem with the transmission jerking. The car only has 100k miles on it. The jerk normally happens between gears 4-6.
The transmission in my 2007 mazda 6i ve started shifting hard and slipping. The transmission, after changing transmission fluid by dealership, has now gotten worse. 2nd and 4th gear do not work. 2nd gear is skipped and the transmission is slipped into 3rd, and going into 4th, the transmission fails to shift into 5th, as 4th gear doesn't do anything but rev constantly, like it is in neutral.
2007 mazda6 with "noise" in the front end, many people with same problem reporting online.the noise, a clunking, has been there since the car was new, but at 45k it became worse, where one could hear it constantly upon turning the wheel/braking. Like front end was falling off.now the dealer says it is the rotating arms in the front and that it is not dangerous to drive it this way with the constant groaning while one turns the wheel.also, online folks said they had thicker grease put into the steering column (which was extremely loose all the time).the dealer did put the grease in and now the steering is a little stiffer and better, but the noise in the front end continues.what began with a new car having a small "clunk" with the turn of the steering wheel, has become a full blown issue.people online all have repeated my exact complaint on this car.we all wonder, "is it reallysafe" to drive? warranties are of course gone, though power train warranty still in effect, (car not yet three years old, but exceeding mileage for warranty )mazda will not honor their power train warranty, even though' the rotating arms are connected to it.as with most people complaining online, mazda replaced my brakes --i paid out 800 today and 250 for a rental car.certainly, based on all of us consumers having the exact same complaint, something should be done to reel in mazda to do what is right with these cars.(see online blogs for investigation).thank you.

I have a manual transmission and there is a clunk noise from 2nd to 3rd gear at high speeds all the time and seems to be getting worse.my friend has an 2006 mazda 6 manual with the same problem, was wondering if there was any kind of recall on this because we have the same problem on similar vehicles
Mazda sedan6 purchased 05/2007- current mileage 2800- discovered oil leak at engine rear main seal. Service mgr offered to correct problem. The other day i was driving and i was trying to speed up to get on the interstate ramp. My car acted like it didn't want to shift out of 3rd gear and wouldn't accelerate much. It then shifted into 4th gear and there was a very loud thud and the car jerked. The thud and jerk have begun to happen almost every time the car shifts from 3rd to 4th gear.

While on vacation, 6/23/07, with approx. 400 mi on my 2007 mazda 6, i initially noticed some steam coming from the engine compartment and a distinct odor.shortly thereafter, my car would not shift out of first gear and my at indicator light appeared.i immediately pulled the vehicle over and noticed a pool of transmission fluid leaking under the vehicle.i then contacted the dealer.the vehicle was towed to the nearest mazda dealer.i was informed that the vehicle's transmission had a defective seal that led to the torque converter and therefore, leaked all transmission fluid.the car would now need a new transmission installed.at approximately 3000 mi on the vehicle, i noticed a high pitched whine when accelerating and decelerating.in addition, there seemed to be a lag in shifting.i contacted the dealer to investigate the problem and brought the vehicle in on 9/6/07.i was notified that 2 components in the differential failed; a differential seal and a solenoid valve.mazda installed the two components.the seal was repaired but the solenoid valve install was unsuccessful.the dealer contacted the manufacturer and was instructed to install another new transmission.as of 9/18/07, the dealer should have completed the install today and will contact me with the results.
While traversing an intersection my mazda 6's idle climbed to 3000 rpm without shifting. In order not to stress the engine i was forced to drive at a maximum of 15 mph and being on a highway with no parking or emergency shoulder i was frightened that i would become involved in or cause an accident. I was fortunate enough that neither occurred and i was able to get to safety. Upon investigating i discovered that this problem is not covered under any sort of manufacturers warranty and is the subject matter of many online discussion forums. It appears that this problem is all too common. I believe that it is in the interest of civic duty for the manufacturer to be held responsible for the replacement of a part that is defective and could potentially pose a great traffic safety risk.
I started hearing noise that sounded like i had ran over a bump in the road, then i noticed when my car switched gears it started to sound like a loud thump. This was unbelievable to me as my car only had 28k miles on it. I took the car to the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. However, when i took them driving and accelerated and the car changed gears, sure enough..thud! the service manager said turn around carefully and get back to the dealer because this car is dangerous to drive because it's slipping out of gear. They had my car for 6 weeks trying to get a good transmission from mazda to put in my car. Now it's 3 years later and my car has82k miles on it. I had a broken motor mount two weeks ago and there has been a noise in the front wheels that i have been told is the strut mounts but they can't seem to hear it. My daughter and i took a day trip this week and the day we got home i was running some errands.one place in particular is very hard to get out of and into the flow of traffic and you have to accelerate very quickly. When i did, my heart dropped because what did i hear but the familiar thud! yes, my transmission was slipping again and my car is sitting in the shop as i write this waiting on another transmission.i don't think my transmission will ever go out of warranty because they have to keep replacing it. I just pray it doesn't take 6 weeks for them to receive one that they consider good enough quality to install into my car again.

The consumer didn't believe that the intake had sucked up water. The consumer stated other mechanics said it could not have sucked up a substantial amount of water.
The contact owns a 2007 mazda, mazda 6. The contact stated that whenever he would press the clutch pedal to change gears, he would hear an abnormal clicking noise. The failure began to worsen to the point that the clutch pedal would not return to position once it was depressed. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the dealer advised the slay cylinder would need to be replaced. The contact replaced the cylinder on his own however the original failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a different authorized dealer where the contact was informed the firewall was cracked and was causing the failures. The vehicle was not serviced for the failure. Seat belts do not lock properly and they sometimes stick, not allowing me to unbuckle the belt.
I'm stuck in my vehicle because no amount of pressure will release the switch lever. Luckily this wasn't a traffic stop because this would have made things complicated if not deadly, not even considering the high possibility that i would need to exit the car immediately should i be in a accident.
Driver's side lap belt tongue will not unlock/release from the buckle.i had to recline the seat and slide out backwards to get out of the seat.
I have a 2007 mazda 6 and unfortunately recently after i turned on the seat warmer i smelled burning leather. I then felt a burning sensation on my thigh. I quickly moved away then noticed that my seat was on fire. The seat warmer burnt a whole in the seat. The threads looked like the blazing wick on a lit candle. A red glare was seen under the rest of the seat. I contacted mazda and was told that its the age of the vehicle, its wear and tear and therefore its customer cost to repair. The associate didn't even bother to look at the damage. Hesaidthat he could give me an estimate of how much it would cost for the repairs. Customer pay.this is very serious because if i had no sensation in my thighs i could have ended up with a third degree burn. Also, this is not an isolated incident as evidenced by reports on the internet including mazda's website. Http://forum.mazda.club.com/element/electrical"(pic) help!! seat heater burns a hole through my leather seat".injury: i used a cold compress on my thigh immediately, and therefore currently do not have any visible marks on my thigh. I have had my mazda 6 for 2 years.two days ago, it got very cold, and when i drove the next day, i heard this squeaky noise from the steering column and from the suspension when turning.not sure what problem is, but it seemed that once the engine was warm the squeaking was gone.i did check the power steering fluid, and it was low, so power steering fluid was added.also added brake fluid due to it was also low.i heard problem slightly the day after a little.hopefully the power steering fluid will solve the problem.if it persists, i will call the dealership.please advise if there has been any other complaints on this.my car currently has over 50,000 miles, and this is the first sounds i have heard.

I was driving on the right lane (the slow lane) of the freeway, going around 60-65 mph.around 4:45 p.m on a clear day, i noticed a white sedan next to me starting to change lanes into my lane.it did not see my car, because i had to veer slight right to avoid being hit by the car.my car did not handle the sudden move well and immediately started to swerve left and right uncontrollably for 1-2 seconds.i could not regain control of the car even though both my hands were on the steering wheel, trying to straighten the car.the car then lost complete control and swerved/spun all the way left (imagine making a complete left turn on the freeway), into the 3rd lane.it continued going in a counter-clockwise direction until a white van ran into my car in the middle of the freeway, stopping the car in a head-on collision.the air bags popped, smoke started coming from the car.i was amazingly unhurt for the most part.i took my hands of the steering wheel and managed to open the driver seat door to exit the vehicle.the final position of the car was facing exactly the opposite direction of traffic.several firefighters/paramedics arrived and proceeded to clean up the debris scattered around the roads and pushed the car to the side of the freeway.the car insurance company hired forensic engineers to reconstruct the accident and inspect the car for damages. Unfortunately, there was nothing conclusive to report (although the front rotors were suspect).
The contact owns a 2007 mazda 6. While driving at approximately 5 mph, the steering wheel fractured and caused the ball joint, the control arm, and the axle to fracture. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who repaired the ball joints, the control arm, and axle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000.
My 2007 mazda 6 was bought back in january 07. My problem comes from the steering column which was making a small sound when i pull out of my driveway but now it's getting worst i have not taken it back to the dealer because of my tight schedule.
Subframe rusted in the front right, behind the engine close to the control arm. Just this part of the subframe.
The low beam light of my mazda 6 is extremely dim, mostly on the rainy day. People sitting next to me always asked me did i actually turn on the light? i saw the mazda forum online, people other than me always complained the light too. It really affect the safety problem.
Engine cradle subframe rusting/rusted out prematurely. Holds engine in place. Stationary.
The airbag deflated when i was involved in a car accident september 25, 2015. I suffered a fractured sternum from the airbag and severely multiple fractures in right ankle. This car was totaled. The accident was not my fault, the other car moved into my lane and i struck it head on.

First of all i am happy that the car done it job in protecting my daughter during a crash with roll over of three times.the reason i'm here is to share my concern with the air bags not deploying during the crash.the crash was a very heavy impact on the passenger side of car and the driver side also had a big impact.no air bags deployed. I feel at least the side curtains would have .i have many pictures of the car and it done its job by protecting the driver compartment.i would really hope that there is nothing wrong with the air bags.on 5-16-15 i had a oil change at my local dealer and they repaired the recall for the driver air bag regulator.could something set wrong to keep the air bags from deploying?my daughter really wants another mazda since she walked away without any injuries but i'm scared the next mazda air bags might not go off when she really needs them.again i hope this is to help the next person daughter and they can be so lucky as i was to have my daughter.
The contact owns a 2007 mazda mazda6. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning lamp illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the throttle body was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 183,000.
(the car's acceleration is very weak, i don't know if this is related to the issue or not )
Consumer wants to know if there is any recall 2007 mazda 6 and is trying to get an owners manual.the power windows did not work using the master control switch. *njthe keyless entry system, the transmitter and the security indicator light on the instrument panel were all inoperative.
My new mazda 6 has an automatic window close on the driver's and passenger side that is supposed to reverse automatically if there is an obstruction,e.g.fingers, but often it just closes with an object in the way.
