Dt:while driving on the interstate about 65 mph, the vehicle jumped about 4 feet into the air and flipped over about 4 times according to eye witnesses.the side curtain air bags did not deploy in fact no air bags deployed.it was not raining and as far as the consumer could remember shedid not hit anything.there was no blow out of the tires.
Consumer was driving and while adjusting the radio vehicle went down a 6 foot embankment and rolled over. Upon impact, air bags failed to deploy. Vehicle was totalled. *tc
Dt:the engine just turned off.the vehicle cut off twice when trying to go up hill at 20 mph.this happened on july 20th, 2005.the evolution was roughly at 10,000 feet.the vehicle is currently at the dealer.*sc
Dt: the consumer stated 2004 mazda rx 8stalled while driving at speeds of20-35 mph. There were no lights on the dashboard before this happened. , but afterwards all the lights came on, and the vehicledied. The consumerreported this to the dealer ,and they did the diagnostic test, and found nothing but suggested that he do a tune up on the car. The car has had no other problems and has driven fine before this incident. The owner noticed before this happened that he had driven about 100 miles when the car stalled. This was on both occasions. The dealer did do a computer update.
Sirr or miss,i live in holland and i have an question about an mazda 3 1.6v executive sedan(european model).after the first oil change the engine begins to make a loud noise.in the third gear it begins about 70 km/h.allso in the fourth gear the same problem that begins about 100km/h.the engine is a bit shaking in neutral (free) gear. When i drive about 80km/h in the fourhtshift (than normal noise) and let the feet of the gaspedal than the same loud noise i hear.i have drive in two other mazdas withe the exact same engine with no trouble at all!!the garage(dealers)can,t find anything. And i think that maby de mazda importeur wont help us any fearther.i am complain now evrywhere on more and more websites of all countrys in europe ,what is bad for the mazda company.please help me for an solutionophuis
Engine stalls--on hot days--you're on expressway you can feel power loss---then when you get off expressway or hit traffic jam --the car stalls...sometimes you can get it to start..and idle is bad but main goal is to get out of the way.....sometimes if on the side of road you can sit for awhile and then start it up like nothing happened???
Dt:the consumer owns a 2004 mazda 6i. When the consumer slowed down in first gear to come to a stop the rpm started to rev up about 2000 or 3000 rpms and theengine started to rev up also. When the consumer was at a complete stop the engine continued to rev. This has happened twice in the same day. The car has not been driven very much since. The consumer will be taking the vehicle to a dealer next week. There was no modifications on the engine everything was original equipment.
While pulling into my driveway, i was braking to park while the automatic transmission was still in drive. Suddenly, the engine started to rev on its own, while my foot was on the brake. The tachometer started reading in the danger zone, and the engine was revving out of control. White smoke started to come out from under the hood. I was able to put the car into park and turn off the engine. It was quite a frightening experience.
Car stalls at lights does not respond when accelerating have gone to back up and no response then car will just take off have had 2 accidents due to no acceleration fog and bugs in taillights airbag light on/off for no reason car has been to dealership for all recalls i am told i am not driving the car fast enough and am told i need to check my oil when i get gas.too many problems to list dealer will fix but cannot duplicate some of the problems i experience have tried to contact manufacturer only to be put on hold to listen to zoom zoom music over and over.
Dt:this mazda had a vibration problem . Recently,had astalling problem. The dealer tried to get consumerto trade i in vehicle.after stopping at a stop sign would have to push the gas pedal to the floor to get it to move. The service manager found out the were having the same problems in high heat areas.. This started happening on june 30, 2005.
On december 20, 2004, i tried to crank my new 2004 rx-8 to go to work.it was 19 degrees outside.the car would not crank.it had been sitting for 2 days over the weekend.unfortunately, i took it out of gear and did not place it back in.when i got out of the car and went inside, it rolled, hitting a tree causing $3800 dollars worth of damage.the tree was hit very hard and the airbag did not deploy.apparently, this car "supposedly" was recalled and fixed while still owed by the mazda dealership according to their records.however, after having it towed into the service department, it had not been fixed.i was never told of any of these problems or recalls prior to the purchase of the car.
Since february 2005 i have had my mazda rx8 serviced for engine noises, deceleration problems, stalling problems and restart problems.the vehicle begins to idle rough and just stalls out (twice in the middle of busy intersections with oncoming traffic-life threatening situation) and cannot be restarted.the vehicle has to be towed in to the dealership for restart.the pcm has been reflashed several times, plugs have been changed and the problem still persists.i am afraid for my life and will not let anyone else ride in the car with me.the service department at the dealership is aware of the life threatening situation and i want to know if i have any recourse in getting mazda to buy back a car i cannot drive.my luck will run out in thisvehicle and not only will i be injured or killed, but so will otherdrivers (oncoming traffic or traffic behind me). I have called mazda headquarters twice about this recurring problem and am awaiting a call back from the second phone call into mazda.apparently they don't feel it is as bad as it is.
2 occurances in 3000 miles of engine loosing power, then starts to buck above 3500-4000 rpm. This first happened on the freeway and it was difficult staying out of the way of traffic until i could exit. The second occurance was after i had exited the freeway onto a 2 lane. I then drove 30 miles to home. Both times it was ok the next morning. Dealer cannot replicate the problem. Several owners of this model car (2004 mazdaspeed miata )have had this problem as reported on www.mazda-speed.com forum.
A month after i purchased my 2004 mazda rx8, i went to start the vehicle one morning and it wouldn't start.had the vehicle towed to service and they advised they didn't really know what was wrong with the vehicle.service did a battery inspection, charging and testing; a diagnosis on the spark plug set and drive cycle; and cleaned the plug threads.just this month, i pulled to a stop light and the vehicle started shaking then died.had it towed to service.service said vehicle needed new computer program installed from mazda.have had this vehicle for 1 year.
Has no power, hesitates badly, bucks above 3-4 rpm, has caused me to all most crash and or get hit 2-3 times. Returned to dealer no "code" found was told there is nothing wrong. 10-20 people are having the same issue as i am (see information here http://mazda-speed.com/forum2/index.php?topic=86.0 )

After driving 45 mph on blue ridge parkway for at least 3 hours, i was exiting onto a major highway. When i stepped on the gas, i had a loss of power that almost caused an accident.could not easily recreate the problem, so i did not go to the dealer about it.
During accelleration loses power, hesitates, feels like its going to stall and smoke comes out of exhaust.dealer has replaced fuel pump, problem got better for a short period but has begun to reoccur.no check engine light so they say there is nothing they can do for me.two failed repair attempts - counting up to lemon law!
Bucking and loss of power, noise coming from area near fuel pump until part failed completely and car would not start, or it was taken in for repair before complete failure to be replaced. Four fuel pumps have been replaced in 10 months of ownership of new car.

1.when adjusted driver's power seat continues to move forward even after adjustment switch is released, resulting in a potentially dangerous unintended and uncontrollable driving position for the driver.2.while in the 'neutral' position, theautomatic transmission shift lever is too easily moved uintentionallyinto the reverse position resulting inthe vehicle abruptly and dangerously reversing its position and moving rearward unintentionally and without warning. The gear selector 'gate design' is faulty.
Clutch shudders violently when attempting to engage.is very pronounced on hills, inclines, and when attempting to engage clutch in an emergency situation, ie, need acceleration to pass, merged into traffic etc. As a result, the clutch will fail to engage properly and leave the driver and passengers in vulnerable position of not being able to move when expecting to.in addition, the car will roll back while on hills and get dangerously close to vehicles behind it since the clutch either engages resistantly or not at all.
2004 mazda 3 passenger seat belt malfuction. My mazda 3 seat belt locking mechanism fail to release.

Dt:while on the highway, the consumerlost control of the steering wheel. It felt like the steering wheel and tires were not in line, causing the vehicle to swerve.the service department stated that was the way thevehicle was designed. .if the road was not even the steering wheel will do the same thing.consumer stated on the highway when going at high speed, thishappened more often and on windy days. When making a turn, the steering wheel did not come all the way back.
