Passenger restraint malfunction chime sounded every 5 seconds for 35 minutes. Passenger airbags are now disabled. Blind spot monitoring only works sometimes....a mind of its own.

The headlamps hold moisture. There are no cracks in the headlamps. I fear this will cause problems in the future.

Vehicle a/c quit working after less than 3 yrs, just out of warranty no less.dealer wants nearly $2k for repair.turns out the cause is a defective part mazda has been aware of since 2016.i was not notified of this issue. There are three separate tsb's about the issue and a mazda service program (msp 50) alert.tsb's:07-001-18-346507-001-18-3274b07-004/17-3332anhtsa #'s101367811012957010120389

The contact owns a 2016 mazda cx3. The contact stated that the evaporator for the air conditioning was blowing warm air into the cab of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken bellamy strickland chevrolet buick parts (145 industrial blvd, mcdonough, ga 30253 770-30253). The vehicle was diagnosed and a pressure test found a leak in the evaporator. A tsb was found which would cover the repair. The contact was referred to hennessy mazda (7261 jonesboro rd building 2, morrow, ga 30260 844-237-2079). The contact was informed that the tsb expired and would no longer cover the vehicle under a warranty repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and declined to offer a free repair. The failure mileage was 58,700.

The headlamps contain and hold moisture causing a softer light and less visibility. I am afraid the moisture will cause electrical problems in the future.

Driving on interstate car lost power all warning lights went on then died coasted to side of road could not restart car had about 1/8 tank gas dot came and put in some more gas restarted went to gas station and oil change shop that could not find anything to repair reset warning lights

While driving my 2016 mazda cx-3 on california highway 280 it suddenly started losing power,i couldn't drive the car and there was no warning light of anything.not knowing the problem i did not want to drive the car any further, had to tow to the mazda dealer.they have identified the problem as transmission had to be replaced.there was no engine check light and there was no other warning lights. As they working on the car they also identified the brakes were worn out well beyond the minimum standards. Also there was no brake warning light to alert me for the such problem. If the car didn't stall because of transmission problem i would be still driving the car and one day i could have had a major accident because of no brake function.this problem also cost me an additional expense where the calipers and the rotors had to be replaced. I am reporting this problem so that other 2016 mazda cx-3 owners can be warned, or this should be recall due to faulty warning lights for the transmission and the brakes.

While driving on a 4-lane road (~45 mph), the vehicle lost all power and died. The check engine and battery warning lights came on and the start/stop button light turned red.after coasting into a gas station, the car could not initially be restarted.it could be restarted after adding gasoline, although the fuel tank was not empty when the car died.the fuel gauge showed 1/8 tank, and 9.3 gallons fuel could be added to the tank, which has a capacity of 11.9 gallons. After adding fuel and restarting, all warning lights went off and the car could be driven normally again.the mazda dealer found no stored error codes in the system and verified that the fuel pump and gas gauge were working correctly.dealer performed powertrain control module software update.

Passenger seat belt released propelling me into the windshield.i'm an avid seatbelt wearer. We were hit by another vehicle that ran a red light.

The seat constantly deflates when it's pumped up to the tallest setting. Driver has to keep adjusting seat height while driving. I have a healthy bmi and only weigh 150 lbs. This should not be happening. Very dangerous, especially when it's hard to see over the dash.

The contact owns a 2016 mazda cx-3. The contact stated that nhtsa campaign number: 17v393000 (parking brake) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the repair as the recall notice was received in august of 2017. The dealer (davis gainesville mazda: 2600 n main st, gainesville, fl 32609) stated that the parts were unavailable for the repair. The manufacturer had not been made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

There is an open recall on this vehicle regarding the rear lift gate.it's been more than 2 1/2 months and still no repair for this and the winter is starting with the road salts which may corrode the improperly coated rear lift gate.mazda has not offered a remedy and it's been too long.please follow up and pressure them to come up with a remedy.

There is a crack in the corner of the mazda connect center display.i bought this car certified pre-owned last year and the crack was already there.

I bought a mazda cx-3 on december 31st 2015. On january 27th i drove the carfrom home to work for 20 minutes and i entered parking lot with may be 15 miles an hour! i made my 90 degree turn into parking stall with may be 5 miles an hour and pushed the brake to fully stop! car almost stopped but suddenly something weird happened and car suddenly accelerated! it stopped by hitting the snow bank and another car! i am shocked and very scared!

Rear tailgate will not open

Warm engine, very hard/long cranking time. Vs.starts right up when engine cold

Rust on hatch, similar to rust resulting in recall in 2016 in australia

In the past 4 months of owning the vehicle i have had 4 episodes of unintended acceleration. Each time when slowing to a stop, the brake pedal was depressed, and suddenly the car lurched forward as the engine revved, and the brake was ineffective at stopping the car. Two of the episodes could have caused an accident without quick evasive action on my part. I have also had several episodes of the engine suddenly revving on start up (without depressing the gas pedal).

I turned into a parking spot and was slowing down .everything seemed normal when suddenly the car sped up into a wooded area.the car shot into the trees. With my foot on the brake i tried to stop it but it just kept going.the car stopped when it hit a tree.i turned off the ignition and realized that my foot was on the brake and the gear shift was in park.

Multiple water lines left on windshield after each swipe of the wipers during a light or heavy rainfall whether the vehicle was stationary or in motion.this problem initially occured in october, 2015, and continues to occur every time it rains!!this problem definitely affects visibility!my new cx-3 did receive new windshield wiper blades, but the same problem recurred!apparently the wiper blades mazda is providing are defective!!

While driving home around 35 mph on a straight road with no cars, no bumps in the asphalt, and no trees, my sunroof suddenly shattered. I took the car to the dealer this morning after researching on the internet and finding results of class action lawsuits from kia and nissan based on the same problem, as well as mazda forums with customers complaining of sunroofs suddenly shattering, yet i was told that because the glass is already broken there is no way to visually tell if there was an impact or if it was due to a defect, and the cost is on me. I want to note this with the nhtsa since the problem is not due to anything i've done or caused. My mileage is just over 16k, which is average for the problems online that i've found. A common complaint is that the sunroof tends to "bow up in the middle" which is exactly what happened with mine - the image included shows this. The glass missing from the image broke away as i was driving home.

The windshield wiper fluid only reaches the very bottom portion of the front windshield.i brought into the mazda dealership where purchased and was told my vehicle was operating similarly to other new cx-3's and according to design/manufacture.i advised them my windshield is not being cleaned as one would expect and is presenting a significant safety issue.i called mazda customer service and am not being helped.

While driving home through pittsburgh, pa in about an inch of snow i came to a 90 degree turn on a residential city street. I took the turn at no more than 15 mph and the car did not respond to the turn, instead sliding into the curb causing damage to the right front steering assembly. This is not an isolated incident of the tires have little to no grip in the snow. Past incidents have all included the vehicle in motion, on a half inch or more of snow, and losing grip when attempting to brake or steer. Most incidents have occurred at slower speeds of less than 25mph. Mazda should not use these tires as they pose a significant safety hazard in the snow. This is more serious than any other vehicle i have driven with all-season tires as these provide no grip whatsoever in the snow.
