Takata recall - mazda recall number 9116a, nhtsa recall number 16v-048i was informed by letter about this recall well over a year ago, but the status still remains "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available". My dealership cannot advise if or when parts will be available. I am very concerned because it was a mazda b2300 series pickup a year newer than mine which blew up and killed a person, initiating this recall of both mazda and ford ranger branded mazda pickups. The failure rate of these inflators increases rapidly with vehicle age.
