Consumer is concerned becauseairbag light came ondashboard. Dealership is aware ofproblem.
Consumer was struck from the rear by another vehicle while idling behind a tractor trailer.the collision caused the mazda to strike rear of tractor and flip over on it's side.the driver's side air bag did not deploy.ts
I was involved in an accident and the air bags deployed on the first impact, butwhen i was rear ended my head was cut open by the plastic cover for the air bag.when i was rear ended a 2nd and 3rd time my nose was cut by the same plastic cover.
Vehicle was involved in a head on collision at a speed of 50 mph, and bothdriver's side and passenger's side airbags did not deploy. Driversustained injuries.
While placing the key inside of the ignition, the anti theft alarm system would come on and stay on.this caused the vehicleto not start.the driver has contacted the dealer for a appointment for inspection of the vehicle.please fill in additional information.
Whenpower is off and key inignition power steering fluid sprays all overengine. Manufacturer has been notified.battery failed and was replaced.
The contact owns a 2000 mazda b3000. The contact stated that the vehicle unexpectedly caught on fire while it was parked in a residential driveway. The vehicle was towed to a salvage yard and was not diagnosed to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the incident. A police/fire report was not filed.the approximate failure mileage was 400,000.
The oil pressure gauge sticks untill truck is warmed up. Usually takes anywhewre from a few seconds to as much as 10 minutes to register.
Frequently, turn signal indicators and turn signal lights will not stay on, come on, and have to be held on, rear and front lights are working, conditions are considered normal by dealer so no repairs have been made.
I went to a gas station to fuel my truck. Fuel started pouring from the bottom middle of the truck just as the tank reached its fullest capacity. There was no prior incident of fuel leaking before the tank reached its fullest capacity. Nor was there any prior similar experience before this date when filling the tank to its fullest capacity. The fuel was not leaking from any where near the fuel cap area. It may have been coming from the top of the fuel tank (un-confirmed).
Door latch sensor fails in high temp (>75 deg f). This gives door unlatched alarm, and key in ignition alarm. Happens whenever it sits in sunlight and door heats up. Will temporarily fix itself if a/c runs inside for >20 mins. This has also happened in a b3000 2002 model a friend has. Ford also supposedly recalled mustangs for same issue. Request you have recall extended to mazda pickups.
Transmission went out at 12-28-04 . Dealer told me i needed a new transmission at a cost of 3800.00 . At speeds high and low it will not shift right. I tried to get help on this problem and mazda corp said it would take a while to maybe solve.
The transmission had to be replaced at 53,000 miles.
Consumer states that while driving vehicle will not change gears like itshould.had vehicle serviced.the part in the transmission was bad, had part replaced, problem reaccured.nlm
While drivinga tlow speeds automatic transmission shifted gears. Dealership informedconsumer that the problempertained to the speed sensor, but the problem was not repaired.
Transmission failed at 71000.dealership stated that i would need new transmission at a cost of $3100.00.the truck has had transmission fluid changed at the recommended 30,000. *nlm
While driving up a hill at any speed,the engine revs up high, but the vehicle looses power.the consumer drove the vehicle to a mechanic, who informed her that there wassludge accumulation inside the transmission.a new transmission is needed at this time.the manufacturer and the dealer are aware of the problem.*ph
While driving gear shiftpopped out of gear into neutral. This occurred when the vehicle was slowing down in first or third gears.dealership was not able to resolve the problem.
While driving down a hill transfer case did not engage. Consumer tried to engage atbottom ofhill. Gears did engage at the bottom of the hill.the lack of 4''-low engagement caused the vehicle to speed dangerously.
Brittle metal failure in rear axle caused a shear near the left rear tire.the left rear tire separated from the vehicle while the vehicle was on the highway at 50-55 mph, causing the vehicle to roll several times.
Consumer states that while reversing vehicle, heard a loud clicking noise. Had vehicle serviced.the drive shaft failed.replaced part, problem reaccured.nlm
Failure started at 7000,9000,10000,12000 miles, dealership refusing to fix now,very very frustrated at this point with mazda and service. No safety defec tlisted.

Driver seatback recliner attachment failed while driving. Sounds exactly like what was going on with the ford explorer in action # pe03-020, except my vehicle is a mazda b4000 truck, year 2000. The explorer is also on a truck chasis.both vehicles basically come from ford, right? mazda madethe repair at no charge to me.
Front wheels would lock up intermittently when brakes were applied on cool and wet road conditions . Vehicle been to dealer on two occasions, andproblem reoccurring.
On 5/7/01,the truck was returned to mazda due to shimmying/vibration when brakes applied. Rotors had warped.truck had 22177 miles at this time. On june 14,2002,truck was returned again for same problem. Truck had 34387 miles. The second set had failed after only 12210 miles and mazda claims it is due to wear and tear. This is a defect either with the parts or the brake system.

Firestone wilderness tire p235/70r15 dot w2uu1p0 caused vehicle to vibrate since vehicle has been brand new, dealer has balanced and rotated tires, however this has not got rid of the vibration, firestone dealer and mazda dealer can not find problem.

Consumer inspected vehicle after hearing a loud squeaky noise coming from the front passenger sides. When inspecting he found a loose prematurely rusted lower ball joint with no lubrication and replaced the part. Dealer stated there was never any type of grease fitting which caused rusting. Consumer saved the old rusted lower ball joint part.*sb
The oil pressure guage has just quit working properly, it will not register when the truck is started, but if i hit a bump or stop the truck and turn it back on, or drive for two miles the oil guage will pop into normal range.the windshield wipers come on by themselves when switch is off, every time i make a right turn, during some left turns, and recently when i am slowing for red lights.the right front tire wore unevenly and caused excessive noise and bumpiness in the first 12,000 miles, it was rotated to left rear and now just makes noise.it was not a 2000 recall tire, but it seems to me that it has failed. The left rear tire on the pick-up went flat while i was driving on fm623 near pettus, tx.i was traveling at about 55 mph at the time.i noticed a pronounced reduction in power and pulled off the road.i changed the tire and took it to 2 places in beeville for repair.both establishments advised me to report the incident as a tire failure that cannot be repaired.the tire has a little more than 3000 miles on it. I am concerned since at recommended tire pressure the both the inner and outer ribs are rounding prematurly and it is starting to go out of ballance which deffinately means the tires are changing configuration.why has mazda not been involved in the tire recall since they use the same tires on their vehicles?( dot number: tire size: r15x235 )

I took my truck to the shop this past monday and told them my front end shimmys.they told me they would look at it, that was at 5850 milage and i took a road trip to live oak, florida.upon leaving live oak, fla. Entering i-75 north bound at the florida state line the mazda truck started shaking, shimmy like action, and along some parts of the road it was not so easy to maintain stability all of the road.i entered the georgia welcome center and checked the times for any rocks, nails, or any other objects.i then left there and proceeded north, the shaking started about 4.5 or 5 miles north of the welcome center.i would like to know if this might could be a tire defect or something else..thanks,charles edward nobles, jr.( dot number: tire size: p225/70r15 )

Type of car:2000 mazda b4000 truck .i was driving down the road at about 30mph, made a right hand turn into a parking lot.moments later i noticed in my rear view mirror a tire lying in the road.turns out my spare tire fell out from underneath my truck.the spare tire carrier cable had snapped allowing the tire to fall to the ground.it's a very good thing this tire didn't come off while i was driving on the freeway the night before.it's alarming to think what could have happened if this had occurred 12 hrs before while travelling at 65 mph.the tire carrier manufacturer is dura automotive systems (www.duraauto.com).i've contacted dura via email letting them know of the failure and they have not responded to my attempts.as of now the parts have not been replaced.

Defrosterfailed to operate properly while driving in cold/snowy/icy conditi windshield will ice up while driving, and whendefroster is on "high", it fails to clearwindshield.dealership had examinedvehicle, and claimed that they have repaired the defect.please provide any additional information/attachments.
Windshield wipers come on any time and whenput on turn signal,passenger airbag light dont come on or work went to dealer when i received recall letter they said they would call me on part it been over a year and the problem gets worse with everything.took it to another dealer last week they wanted me to pay 76.00 for them to look at a factory recall that was a diffrent dealer in greenvill nc(brown and ward) was last dealer i took truck last weekthat wanted to charge me.
