Consumer states that son's vehicle was involved in an accident the vehicle flipped overand the air bag did not deploy.owner of the vehicle waskilled. Manufacturer contacted.
During frontal impact at 15 to 20mph, the driver's side air bag did not deploy.
I have tried for over a year to get my passenger airbag either installed with a switch or simply have it disconnected. Mazda simply will not provide satisfactory service.my original dealer is gone and now i have bill roger's mazda in albany oregon. I called locally, called hq, wrotea letter and was told i could buy a brand new miata.if i had wanted a miata, i would have bought one in the first place.i have a one-year old grandson i will not place in danger.can i use the same certification to have it disconnected by someone else other than mazda?do i have to sell the truck to get this resolved?or do i simply hit the darn thing with a baseball bat to get it to deploy?i am very frustrated with this.please help me.thank you.

Purge solenoid failed.
Consumer complained ofongoing problem with windshield wiper/washer intermittently turn on/off. Vehicle in/out of dealer shop on four occasions, and every time dealer repairs themanother problem would arise. Also,signal light would come on/off, and air conditioning stopped running.

The contact owns a 1996 mazda b4000.the contact noticed a gas leak while filling the vehicle with gas up to the filling neck.this leakage has occurred twice before.he has not taken the vehicle to the mechanic.the current and failure mileages were 145,000.
Dt:gas was leaking from the top of the tank. The consumer just bought the truck a week ago and the gas tank started leaking on may 5-16-05. The consumer took the truck to a mechanic on 5-16-05 and the mechanic told the consumer that the gas tank looked defective. This is to be fixed on friday may 20, 2005. The consumer is not driving the vehicle at this time. The mechanic said he would have to drop the tank and try and see if the whole tank would have to be replaced.
Dash lights failed.
Interior light won't shut off door ajar light on even with both door fully closed.
Speed sensor failed.
Speedometer failed. Mjs
Transmission fluid is burning up, and it takes a while for the reverse gear will click in.also has had transmission fluid replaced 3 times.
Vehicle rolls backwards when placed in park gear.
Seat belts do not retract and lockpassengers in the seat.

Design of truck does not offer head support in truck resulting in neck and head injuries of driver during vehicle collison.
Consumer checked the brakes, and found that the brakes rotors on the 2 front wheels were cracked. He took vehicle to the dealer, but wanted to know if there were any recalls on them.
Rear brakes locked up resulting in vehicle collision.
Brakes made noise, the camber cut into the brake pads causing the lower portion of the pad to fall into the rotor.yh
Rear brake shoes wore out. Yh
Right rear brake lining failed.
Metal brake line failed in engine compartment leading to a complete loss of all brake fluid and braking.one brake line corroded through, another line was severely corroded, and the 3rd line is just starting to corrode.there was no warning of any problem.
Right rear brake spring failed. Yh
Steering is erratic, causing loss of control.
Steering column and wheel vibrates causing loss of control.
Power steering pump failed several times, one incident caused a collision.
While driving along slowly, the steering wheel began to shake & vibrate uncontrollably.i pulled into the median attempting to get out of traffic & then discovered steering was slow & lethargic.while attempting to pull out of traffic & into a parking lot, i heard a loud "pop."i got out of the car & discovered the tie rod separated entirely from the right front wheel & slashed the inner tire wheel (resulting in the flat). (tiresize: p22570r14)
While trying to move from a parked position, inner tie rods broke off and the vehicle would not move. Dealer can't find the reason for this.
Door indicator bell ring while travelingvehicle switch was change d and problem returned.
Power door locks can be opened from the inside by lifting door handle while vehicle is in motion. *sd
Frame is cracked and has holes from rust. Spring shackles have holes from rust. Will not pass inspection without new frame or major frame repair.
When going around turn at 55 mph vehicle vibrates.
Front suspension of truck unstable, highly unstable at highway speeds, front shocks replaced but no change whatsoever
Vehicle bounces into other lanes while driving.
After experiencing abnormal bouncing and front tires cupping, mazda struts replaced. Unstable handling reoccurred 2,000 miles later,replaced w/mazda struts. Failed again andmazda replaced struts with after market parts.please describe details.

Firestone wilderness at tires p215/75r15 dot w2hf1pj016 have cracks all the way around tire on sidewall, consumer noticed cracks when recall 00t005 went public in august of 2000, dealer won't do anything until tires are on recall.
Tires have worn incorrectly after short periods of use. Described as 'cupping' by several different mechanics. Two sets of tires have proven the same results. This ulitmately results in excessive vibration at highway speeds.( dot number: tire size: p265/75r15 )
These have not been recalled but i do have a small slit starting just below the tire tread on the sidewall.i dont believe the tires to be safe.(i am not looking to do this for new tires, i want my family to be safe)please respond.( dot number: tire size: 265-75r15 )

Frame is completely rusted/ cracked / holes / rotten from rust
Was driving 60mph when cruise control came on.cruise control could not be released after hittingbrakes or accelerator pedal. Had to shift into neutral, and then shut vehicle down. Once restarted, cruise control was not activated.consumer states this has happened on two occasions, the exact same thing happens at each failure.
Sudden acceleration experienced on several occasions while driving causing vehicle to lose control.

Cruise control came onwithout turning it on and would not turn off. I pulled to the side of the road anddisabled it under the hood.
Like many others wipers were working intermittently only to stop working completely replaced switch to no avail. Have red its a problem with the general electric module with try replacing that next!
The way the dashbroad is designed,the defroster will not defrost the lower right hand corner of the windshield.

While driving,intermittently, the windshield wipers come on by themselves.the dealer and manufacturer has been notified. The windshield wiper and washer will come on while driving, consumer is concerned that wipers will fail while on during a time of need.
Windshield wipers fail intermittently.we've taken it into the dealer several times, but they were unable to duplicate the problem.we've had the switch replaced several times, but that has never solved the problem.since we only use wipers when it rains, the failure has causes a dangerous situation. I been in several near misses when this has occurred, one when a tractor trailer sprayed my windsheild and i couldn't see.mazda has been unwilling to voluntarily investigate the cause detail. As a result, we've continually had to bring the vehicle back into the shop for repair. We currently have the vehicle in the shop for the same issue, but i'm concerned that mazda will just replace the switch, collect their money, and send us on our way.from past experience, replacing the switch has not solved the problem.as the rainy season approaches, i hope this matter can be resolve before a wiper failure causes a serious accident, injury, or even death.

Whenever it rains the windshield wiper motor stops working.causes poor visibility for the driver. The problem is intermittent. Took vehicle to dealer, 1st time & nothing found.the 2nd time, the mechanic changed switch. Problem still exists.
