While driving on the freeway about (50) mph the car stalled then completely stopped.

Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle stalled completely without warning at an intersection while traveling 10 mph on 07/15/06.the vehicle engine started up after 4 attempts and previously stalled on 9 other occasions.all incidents occurred during deceleration.on 08/14/06, the vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop who determined that wire plugs connected to the engine or the ignition could have caused the vehicle to stall. The vehicle had an automatic transmission.

Car will run for about 20 minutes before it starts to overheat, temperature gauge goes up. Only way to stopover heating is to turn on the heat. Consumer states this is second time problem has occurred.

Plastic radiator split, causingit to leak , resulting in engine to overheat and blowing pot.

On the above mentioned dates i encountered mechinical problems which consisted of my cooling system. Ireplaced the water pump, thermost, radiator, and timing belt. Six months latermy heater and defogger was working improperly. At the time i had no idea it was related to the first problem iencountered and i couldn't afford to take it in at the time. So i only drove the car when the temperature was at least45 degrees or higher. After ifinally paid off my car i was finacially able to take it in and had the heater problem checked out. Iwas told by covington pike mazdamr. Sommers , that they were informed by mazdamanufacturer in 1995 that these cars had a defect in the engine block that resticted the flow of the cooliant, which affected the heater/defrost/cooling system, and the only remedy was to buy a new motor. I contactedmazda corp. And got no assistance. I ended up buying a new motor from mazda on feb-23-99 and it was installed and returned onmar-05-99. My total out of pocket cost was $4925.60 which mazda refused to reimburse me for . I feel that because mazda knew of this problem back in 1995 when they informed the dealers with this technical infrmation. That any customer who encounterd these problems mazda would repair at no cost to the customer.

Driving on interstate and needed to slow for construction zone.cruise would not disengage.turned switch off.hit brake.even put car into neutral for a short time but speed control would not disengage.had to ride brakes about 5 miles in construction zone between tractor trailers before having chance to get off and stop the car.the cruise control disengaged after the engine was turned off for 15 minutes. I paid $420 to replace pads and two rotors after the incident.this is quite dangerous. It also happened last year and we had cruise control components replaced by montgomery mazda in charlotte, nc.

The tire quality grading(treadwear,traction,and temprature)are not marked with numerals or letters on the tires, three firestone tires were purchased from thedealer who stated that this imprint is not necessary (firestone affinity lh30 with vni-t, p205/65r15bw).*mj
