I was stopping for a red light and noticed that the car was not stopping normally.i realized that part of my shoe was still on the accelerator pedal when i intended it to be only on the brake.this happened to me several times since.i noticed that the brake pedal and accelerator pedal are exactly in line with each other and very close together.every other car i have ever driven had an offset between the brake and accelerator to prevent this from happening.i contacted maserati but their customer service department told me that every granturismo is designed this way and they would not do anything about it.i consider this a very dangerous design defect that could easily allow inadvertent actuation of the accelerator when trying to brake causing catastrophic consequences.i also noticed on the maserati forum that other granturismo owners had experience this same problem.please look into this.

Hi i have a 2013 grandturismo with 10700miles on it and was involved in car accident earlier today where the gas pedal was stuck and car kept accelerating despite taking my foot off the gas pedal. I was able to hit the brakes but ended up getting in an accident. I googled this problem and came across several complaints regarding this problem and noticed some recalls regarding some maserati models.regards
