The 1998 chevy tahoe i have had to have a transmission replaced. I have read other related problems on the site about this. My friend has a tahoe that has 35,000 miles on it and hers had to be replaced also. I do no towing with the vehicle and has been babied every since i have had it. The chevy tahoe recall center said they have had a lot of people call about transmission issues but nothing has been done about this. Chevy has always been know for a wonderful vehicle but it really concerns me when the same issue is affecting everyone else and nothing is being done about it. Contacting the bbb about this matter.
