The contact owns a 2006 long chih usa trailer. She stated that the hitch unhooked from the trailer. She also stated while hauling lumber, the hitch became unhooked and nearly caused a crash due to the ball not fitting properly.. The owner re-welded the trailer; however, the lug nuts were loose and the wheel came off of the trailer. The contact has had several failures with the trailer. The failure mileage was unknown. Updated 10/06/09 instructions listed the ball size as 17/8 but it was not, it was smaller and came off. It bent the tongue severly and had to be cut off off completely and a new steel tongue had to be welded on. A week later, the left wheel fell off. The nuts were made of ordinary cold roll insted of leaded alloy and do not lock down properly.updated 10/08/09
