Vehicle's driver's seat broke whenmaking a left turn.the whole seat came out of the bracket and the whole seat moved.
The bolts that holdfront ofdrivers seat to the tracks of the adjusting elements have pulled right out of the seat itself - therefore the front of the seat is rocking which can be a safety issue when accelerating. Any other reports of this type? sure seems odd to me.
Driver's seat track keeps breaking while occupied; 3 times within 5,000 miles; not safe to drive, shakes/goes backwards/forwards. Abs failure, extended stopping
The first time the seat frame broke was 04/29/97 @ 30952 miles. Each time the seat broke, it was around 40,000 milestime around 40,000 miles.
I was driving my 1992 lincoln towncar when suddenly the front driver's seat flew up from the front, nearly causing an accident.upon examination, i discovered the bolts on the floor which attach to the steel housing of the seat were no longer attached.at first i thought it was a bolt problem, but upon further examination discovered the steel housing under the seat pad cover which the bolts attach to had ripped open, releasing the bolts. *nlm
After taking off from a light, driver seat frame broke, frame needs to be replaced.tt
Hit from behindand drivers seatback broke , fell backwards and caused driver to loss control of the car.tt
Front left power seat has cam bars for the various positions tilts to the seat. When i went to reach back for the seat beltone of these cams broke. Now there is not any "tilting" to the seat anymore and the whole seat can rock back and forth 2-3 inches. I realize that this part of the power seat mechanism is not in regards to anchoring the seat to the body. However, because of this breakage, it can not be very safe to be driving in case of an accident. On the seat there are only 3 more "anchor points" to secure the seat in case of an accident. Plus the seat "rocks" as you are driving(braking, accelerating). Is this an issue or am i off base in my thinking? i realize that the car has many miles but this should be a pqs regulated item. I have owned the car for over 60,000 miles and it has never been in an accident.your time in this matter is greatly appreciated! thank you!
