We would be notified when parts are available.no calls from the company.i have called numerous times during the last six months, still parts not available.lincoln sent an update in may 2018 that we could rent a vehicle up to $45 per day.i do not want to rent a vehicle, especially for an unknown amount of months. Takata recall recall has been active since 2016 and my vehicle's airbag still hasn't been repaired. This is very frustrating since my family can't ride in my vehicle. I have to rent a vehicle when we take family trips!

Takata recall - we were notified more than 9 months ago about this recall and they still have not gotten the parts to replace this. How safe are these airbags? why are the car manufacturers still not replacing them? we have been patient but if this is a true safety issue- how are they getting away with not correcting it?

Takata recall since i first got the recall notice in 2016 all ford/lincoln shows is:status: 12 - recall incomplete. Remedy not yet availablei cannot get it fixed until the company does something. The tk holdings legal notice i got today saying i must get it fixed is fraud.

Takata recall. Have tried to get lincoln dealership to replace the airbag and they said no parts are available to them. I want to sell or trade my vehicle and can not due to possible injury to a person. How do i get the air bag replaced so i can move on with my life and not get sued if i sell the vehicle? it has been years since i was notified i had a recall on my vehicle.

My 2009 mkx has scared the heck out of us as we thought a bomb had gone off, followed by the high-pitched whine which only stopped after we turned the car off and open a door for it to reset itself. We were driving with kids in the back asleep,, and all of a sudden it went off and we couldn't stand it. Turning the radio off didn't help, turning the ac off didn't help either. We were forced to pulled over in the middle of the night. Since then i can not trust my car won't go off and cause me to hit another car or god forbid something else. It usually happens in the hotter months for the last 3 - 4years.i've tried to find correlation to something, and all i can think off is the heat causing it to go off.

Frequency: once every other day when temperature over 73 f.electrical: (issue 1) the sound system while in use creates a horrendous sound/bang that sounds like an accident. This causes a loss of driver attention and distraction from traffic. (issue 2) after loud sound, the stereo will lock it self and not allowing to shut it down or anything. (issue 3) after loud sound, the turn signal will flash in a faster paced than normal. (issue 4) after loud sound, air conditioner would not work. All this issues would resolve by turning car off and opening the driver door to reset itself. This is a big safety issue, with sleeping kids in the back when loud sound gets trigger and have to stop in the middle of highway to "reset the system".

I've replaced a starter / alternator/ battery/ coil packs/ tune up/and my truck is still having problems with staying started..i have to push the gas in park because it seems like it will shut off.

2009 lincoln mkx vehicle has driver power seat that is unstable and rocks while driving.this causes an unsafe driving condition that makes the foot fall off the brake pedal when braking.dealer says this is normal.another defect is the sound system while in use creates a horrendous sound/bang that sounds like an accident.this causes a loss of driver attention and distraction from traffic.dealer says this is a defect with no fix.

Door ajarwarning light will not disengage even though the door is closed and it also causes my alarm to sound.

Wires to headlights brittle and/or broken. This vehicle has headlights that move the direction steering wheel is turned and also self adjust height up and down as vehicle is traveling. The almost constant movement of headlamp is causing wires to become brittle and break causing headlight failure. Not only is this unsafe, but it appears that some repair shops are saying the fuse box needs to be replaced and reprogrammed to repair symptom.some people may just think a headlamp is burned out and after replacing bulb, light still won't work. Those who continue to drive risk loosing other headlight at same time. There is no warning indicator in car to notify driver there is a headlamp out so a person could easily be driving with one light and not even notice. Upon searching internet i noticed other late model ford products with same problem. On my car the insulation was still in tact so it was not easily noticed, but yes the wire was physically broken inside wire insulation. My car has never been in a car accident, nor has it been worked on by anyone other than lincoln dealership or myself. There is a cap that has to be removed from headlighthousing before one could access this sealed off area.

Sync radio. Every once in a while, without warning, the radio will suddenly emit an extremely loud explosion noise, enough to startle you to jerk the wheel and leaving your ears ringing. This has happened to us three times since owning the vehicle. Once on a local highway and twice on the freeway. At all times was the vehicle being driven in a straight line. Research online shows many complaints as this appears is a common problem with the sync radio and lincoln has no resolution. This is a safety issue that should be addressed.

The gas tank has corroded so i have gas leaking under my vehicle. The maintenance man told me i could not drive it due to danger of a spark and fire risk. The 2007 and 2008's have this same problem which are recalled so why aren't the 2009's as well. It is the same faulty gas tank.

Subject :getting a raw deal ! just bought 2009 lincoln mkx. Problems are surmounting quickly. Fumes in cabin recall is connected to transmissionfailure in fords, lincolns, mazda years 2007 - 2013 approximately as reported.the fuel pump fails and is not easily replaceable. Ford is at fault for poorlydesigning a $200 part behind a "timing chain" which requires removal beforeyou can reach the fuel pump to replace - costing the customer exorbitant amount of money to repair.

The ptu (power transfer unit) is causing engine light to flash and loss of power when accelerating. Transmission sputters and seems to buck as if not finding the gear (almost always around 2nd gear).

I've replaced a starter / alternator/ battery/ coil packs/ tune up/and my truck is still having problems with staying started..i have to push the gas in park because it seems like it will shut off.

Brakes intermittently don't grab sometimes and sometime they grind when applied.i have had them worked on multiple times and i've had mechanics to tell me that there's some problem in the control unit that's causing this. I've had everything replaced and it still happens.

Abs light came on and the repair shop says the abs module has failed and needs to be replaced.

I have to change the breaks & rotors twice in 2 years. My mechanic says it is the 'break booster'. He stated that their might be a recall. The vehicle is having issues stopping. I am afraid the will go out and cause an accident. The breaks make a released air sound and it is hard to make a complete stop. So i stopped driving it.

I hear a hissing noise when depressing the brake pedal and the brakes feel spongy and not very responsive.garage have diagnosed a leaking brake booster.lincol recall 13n02 exactly fits this fault but is only being applied to 2010 - 2013 models, mine is 2009. This recall needs to be extended to cover 2009 models too.

As reported in forbes magazine on april 24, 2018 there are numerous complaints regarding brake failures with lincoln mkz 2006-2012 model years affecting one million sedans. The lincoln mkx model (crossover) i believe to be affected as well. In my case, what happened is that the anti lock brake system has failed on many occasions while i was operating the vehicle with my family inside resulting in several near rear end collisions. Apparently this is a common failure on the 2009 lincoln mkx model as the abs component is on backorder and a wait of over 3 weeks is required. This is a monumental safety issue and there should be an investigation opened immediately and a recall issued on these vehicles.

Brake booster vacuum leaks causing brakes to squeal and hiss thus rendering vehicle unsafe stop.. The recall starts on 2010 models but the recall should have started on the 2009s. I had to replace it and it cost 700. Now my vehicle is mechanically sound.

Brakes activate when turning and i pushing the gas pedal one year after i purchased this car , i noticed the brakes would active when i am making aright turn.it was either raining or beginning to snow. The car would brake as i was making a turn while i giving it gas to turn. Happened at least 3 times while i was turning on a main road. This could have been a life threatening event. Imagine a car coming at you and your gas pedal is not responding while at the same time your car is braking. A very scary scenario. I took it to the dealer. They said brakes need calibration and that i needed new brakes. I said sure.i asked is that normal for a car to do that when brakes wear out . They said no and tested the & found no issues. I paid for the brake replacements. 3 months go by and the same thing. Took back to dealer and they couldn't duplicate but the brakes were fine. I stressed the problem of moisture( rain & snow) when this occurs. This occurs when i first start driving the car under those conditions. Happens once and then i am fine for the of the drive. This keeps happening to me. I have contacted the lincoln headquarters & all i hear is take it to the dealer. But no solution. I even found people with similar problems on google and printed them & showed to the dealer. I did not get any help. All i got was that we cant duplicate it.. On june 15, 16 and 17 2014this problem has occurred 6 different times. I will contracting the dealer soon. This is a very scary situation.

I have a 2009 lincoln mkx where the brakes were so stiff that i could hardly stop my vehicle. This is such a huge safety issue. This issue has been covered under ford for certain vin #'s but not under my 2009 vin number. I can't understand how this is covered by them for some cars and not others? evidently it will take injury or death for ford to realize that this isn't something that should be over looked in some vins and not others.this was a cost of close to $850 which in my opinion should be covered by ford! have a 2009 lincoln mkx where the brakes were so stiff that i could hardly stop my vehicle.

There were no extraneous variables leading to the rear window explosion. The police were not able to find any contact entry or evidence of vandalism and indicated it was possibly defective glass. Dealership indicated that they would not investigate the possibility of previous stress cracks or design defects, although they admitted that this class of vehicle has severe internal pressure fluctuations while a rear passenger window is open traveling at highway speeds, and this was experienced the day before. The glass shattered while the car was parked, with the temperature being between 65 & 70f, with nobody in it. There were no prior issues with the glass. The only issue with the vehicle prior to the glass was the pressure fluctuations.

I live in a northern area where salt is used to deice roadways. I have noticed the chromed aluminum rims are losing the chrome in big strips. I cannot keep air in the tires for more than 3 or 4 days at a time because the chrome around the tire inflaters will not seal correctly., also the risk of being cut on the degrading chrome when washing rims is very dangerous.is the chroming process at fault and if so will ford replace these defective rims/

Takata recall , tire sensor keeps saying low tire pressure even after car in turnt off and restarted after air was put in and tire pressure was checked by a mechanic.some time after air is put in the tire the light may go off for a few minutes and or hrs then the low tire pressure light comes back on and you can't see your vehicle mileage or anything.
