Rack and pinion seals leaking. Dealer recommends replacement of system for a cost of #1000!!!! this problem seems to be very premature for a vehicle of this age, with relatively low mileage and a pedigree that speaks of the "relentless pursuit of perfection." lexus customer service contacted by telephone but they were unresponsive to my request for extended warranty for this problem.
