Radio will change automatically by itself from radio to other source cd, change to sat and eject a cd without touching anything. Lexus couldn't find anything wrong when taken in.they updated the firmware, but it still continues to change from radio to sat and ejects cd's. I asked if there was a recall or other know complaints about this.i was told no by lexus.i searched online and i find this happens to other customers so i wanted to document this defect.
Outer mirror, driver's side, turns down when placed in reverse and will stay in the down position. Occasionally it will turn down on its own when changing from park. When going to drive, there is no way to see oncoming traffic on the left without turning head and looking: something a driver isn't expecting. This always occurs going from stationary to motion. Occurance in random.
I have been a loyal lexus owner for several years and have meticulously maintained my vehicle at only lexus dealerships. While operating the vehicle 10 days ago, the oil cooler hose burst, which could have resulted in a major safety issue (engine failure/seizure while driving) with catastrophic engine failure. Lexus has known about this issue and has covered it for many other vehicles with 150k miles or less, hence the "enhanced warranty" about which i had no knowledge.i have 151k miles and they refuse to cover it or offer any kind of compensation for the expense of replacing the hose. They do not deem it a safety issue, which is absurd for the reason stated above.apparently there was a warranty "enhancement" offered a couple of years ago, about which i was never made aware, by lexus or by any of the technicians who have serviced my car over the years. If lexus offered this warranty, they clearly knew this was a potential issue with this vehicle.now that the issue has happened to my car, they won't cover it, as i'm "out of warranty" with a warranty i never knew was offered to me in the first place.i will never own another lexus - they have lost my business and my trust,

The hybrid computer system shorted due to a leak where the roof rack connects to the roof.this computer is below the rear seat and is next to the hybrid batteries.this compartment should be sealed to prevent water intrusion, and in no situation should water from the roof be able to reach this compartment.water entering this area is extremely dangerous and could cause a fire or the car to cease functioning correctly while it is in motion.

The steering lock actuator failed in the locked position while the vehicle was stationary. Although in this instance there was no safety hazard, it seems possible that this failure could have occurred while the vehicle was in motion, which would have caused the steering to lock and consequent loss of control of the vehicle. I informed lexus us about this failure.
