Complaint to [xxx]at lexus of palm beach was a crumbling dashboard that is accumulating an unidentified white powder around the broken edges.case #[xxx] at lexus, i spoke with [xxx] , case manager who told me lexus will not investigate this because the dash replacement was a warranty enhancement and not a safety issue.it is my impression that an unknown substance, possibly a sublimating airbag chemical, is exuding into the passenger compartment is indeed a safety issue.i do not know if this material is either toxic or flammable.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
