We had lack of power engine and steering problems in the past with this vehicle. We filed a lemon law and supposedly they fixed it.now the pcs, vsc, anti skid, air bags, brakes, anti-lock brakes and other alarms came on again. This time the beeping sound is not on continuously but the alarms are on all the time. The power assist on the breaks and the anti-lock brake stopped working all of a sudden.we noted the rear driver side window works ok, the front driver side window does not go up or down automatically you have to keep the button pressed, the front and rear passenger windows do not go down all the way and when they go up they bounce back half the way.we changed the battery thinking that was the problem but the problem continued. We inspected the fluid levels and all breaks and all other fluids levels are ok.at this time we are very scared of this vehicle since the breaks can stop working anytime. If you know it is doing it you can drive extremely careful and very slowly, but the problem can appear anytime. If the breaks stop working when you really need them it could be fatal.we sent the vehicle for inspection the first time, but the alarms went away and everything went normal again. This second time the alarms and all malfunctions stayed until we brought the vehicle to the dealer. The brakes' assist stopped working all of a sudden, the anti lock breaks and stability control stopped working this second time without notice. I have never seen something as dangerous as this issue in any car we have owned or driven in my life.there is a main design issue. The breaks and all systems should not simply stop working while you are driving. I search the internet and there are many other people with the same intrinsic problem.we video taped the problem and took pictures if you need them, please email me or contact me.

The "starter" on my 2008 lexus ls 460 l failed after only 7 years and 114k miles of service.it is unfathomable and unconscionable that the "starter" should fail in 7 years at 114k miles on any vehicle; leaving me with a $1,900 financial burden for the repair job.it is my understanding that a "engine and engine cooling: engine" recall, id # 86449, to replace the "engine coils/springs," called for the removal of the "starter" in order to perform the "engine coils/springs" repair, thus compromising the integrity of the "starter," thus causing the "starter" to fail prematurely.based on my internet research, i have found numerous accounts of "starter" failure on lexus vehicles that have had the "engine coils/springs" recall repair. It is my intent to bring this information to the forefront of the nhtsa, as a possible "recall" for a defective "starter," and as a remedy for lexus car owners who have had recall id # 86449 performed on their vehicles resulting in the compromisingly of the "starter" as a result of this recall repair.
Tl- the contact owns a 2008 lexus ls460l.the contact stated that the manufacturer had acknowledged that there was malfunction that occurred with the remedy for nhtsa campaign:10v309000(engine and engine cooling).the manufacturer then contacted the dealer in order to re recall 150 vehicles to perform an inspection.the manufacturer referenced the vins specifically included with the problem. The dealer had then notified the contact, however, the contact was not in town at the time.the contact had then contacted the dealer a week later regarding the notification and the dealer stated that they were no longer going to accomidate him because the inspectors that were sent by the manufacturer were no longer available.the manufacturer was notified of the problem and claimed that they had no recollection of contacting the dealer for the matter.the contact had not experienced a failure.the vin was unavailable.gb
The contact owns a 2008 lexus ls 460l. The contact received a recall notice for recall 10v309000 (engine and engine cooling: engine). The dealer stated that the parts were not yet available. The contact called the manufacturer who verified that the parts were unavailable. The failure mileage was approximately 34,500.
Brake failure.foot on brake entering garage, no response from the brake pedal, pedal began to sink to the floor and the traction/skid control light came on, as pedal went to the floor car jumped several 100 rpm's, pedal still to the floor did not stop until running into garage cabinets.no abs noise, no abs light, no feedback from brake pedal.foot was never on gas pedal nor was ever removed from brake pedal.

The consumer stated the navigation system was in perfect working order before the vehicle was left at the dealer.the dealer refused to take responsibility.

In may 2017 i replaced rear brakes but the "squawk" noise when releasing the brake pedal persisted.on 6-8-17 i returned to lexus wh dealer (customer # 171829) and the tech requested a test ride.at the curb, i engaged brake, and tech saw the abs brake light.he immediately diagnosed the brake actuator unit.mileage in/put on invoice 207972 (attached) verifies the car never went on test ride for diagnosis.scott at lexus cust care claimed there was no warranty recall at that time and advised me to consider the lexus wh service mgr offer to repair for $5000 less $1200 good faith discount.i inquired if this was a safety issue and was told no by technician it was just a noise. Several months later, problem worsened so i researched issue and discovered service bulletin issued april 2016 for brake actuator.on dec 11 2017 engaged lexus cust care again and eric young, agent, checked my vin and advised my car was included on the sb.he also noted the lexus dealer claimed in june 2017 the car did not fail yet they tried to charge me $5000 for a repair.when i requested notes or tangible proof to take to the dealer, eric called to set appt at dealer for me and i dropped my car on 12-11-17 on 12-12-17 the lexus service mgr now claimed the car did not qualify for sb repair because no codes or lights on dashboard.dealer failed to acknowledge the battery replacement in oct 2017 which would have erased codes. Lexus service mgr new repair quote is $3900 less $1200 = $2700 + tax. (again no invoice provided) i refused to retrieve my car until corp and/or dealers put their decision to deny my claim in writing.lexus supervisor claims they do not put proprietary information in writing and would only provide attached email. No invoice provided by dealeri believe my vehicle is covered under warranty policy bulletin 16-01 aka warranty enhancement program - zlg

In oct of 2011 brakes would seem to lock up for no apparent reason...i took lexus to dealer and they could not establish any reason....this would happen, several times, again andafter stopping would clear up and drive normally. The last time it stopped dead while driving in city traffic at around 30 mph several dash lights came on such as; abs, vsc, check brakes, brake malfunction.i was able to get car to go again and took it to torrence lexus for their inspection...they are working on now....my wife will not drive the car for fear of the brakes locking up at high speeds....i'm getting to that point myself.
I own a 2008 lexus 460 l . There is now a safety recall due to valve spring problems. I called lexus in birmingham, alabama (tom williams lexus) they can not take my vehicle until march 23rd. Over 4 1/2 months from now. They will only service one car at a time.this appears to be ridiculous for a safety recall.
The interior of car is melting, sticky to touch, and cracking. Lexus will only replace if i make contribution of $3000+.
Popping noise at low speeds and also when going over bumps, dealer discovered bad lower control arm bushings, charging over $5,000.00 to fix. When searching the internet several other people complaining about the same issue, afraid suspension arms come off if bushings deteriorate enough.
