Intermittent air bag warning light for months. Stayed on and brought to dealer on july 16, 2014. Cited lexus service bulletin# 282827 dated 1/13/2010 and nhtsa action# 100335557. Repair completed 9/2/2014. Lexus refused to cover full cost to repair, only paid for the parts. I had to pay labor charge of $1,453.50.i purchased this 2007 ls460 brand new on 10/02/2007.i believe this should be a recall campaign since it involves airbags. When the warning light goes on, the airbags are disabled and the vehicle safety is compromised.i also believe this should have been covered under warranty, which i believe was extended for this tsb to 7 years/70,000 miles from the in-service date.
Oct. 29, 2019mid-morning vehicle was southbound on us hwy. 2 in north hero, vt.vehicle crossed the northbound lane and crashed in a grassy field:came to rest upside down, right front wheel torn loose from the axle.air bags did not deploy.injured driver was in emergency room 3 times, hospitalized in icu for two periods, numerous procedures, follow-up craniotomy in 2020, anti seizure medications.police report, ems report, and insurance adjuster inspection could be made available.
Air bag light stay on once car is running there seems to be a shorts in the electrical system the speakers have no sounds coming through them and the rear executive council in the back seat as no power and the head lights on the driver side go off and on at times i replaced the fuse for the speaker but it blow out as soon as i put the new one in
A warning light indicated urgent - take your vehicle to the lexus dealer -we took it to the toyota dealer -said airbag problem) charged us $175. And said it had to go to the lexus dealer so we took it to santa barbara 75 miles away - they charged another $75. To say repair bill for air bag was over $7,000. (our lexus 460 has only145,000 miles on it).

The contact owns a 2007 lexus ls. While driving approximately 30 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal and found it harder to depress than normal. The contact had to use an excessive amount of pressure to apply the brakes and the vehicle hesitated before coming to a stop. In addition, several unknown warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel and there was a continuous beeping noise coming from the dashboard. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 73,000.
Brake malfunction error was shown on the speedometer screen with five lights (abs, vsc, brake, traction control light, and warning light). The brake pedal became very soft and the vehicle came to abrupt stops. On other occasions the brake pedal became hard as a rock and also made the vehicle come to a jerking stop. Pulsation and noise were also noted. Dealer advised that the brake actuator part (44050-50110) was the cause of the malfunction and noise. Lexus tech and advisor noted that this is a a very common issue on this particular model - 2007 ls460.
My 2007 ls460 lexus with 100k miles has a failed brake actuator assembly ascertained by a lexus and toyota dealer. This was a confronted problem by toyota for failure of the o rings within the assembly. The actuator abruptly went out while on the highway at 70mph causing brake fluid to not go to the right calipers. There is a recall for 150 k mi or 10 years, whichever occurs first. However. My lexus was out of warranty in may, 2018 and they will not offer any help whatsoever because my warranty expired aprox. 1 year ago.
While driving, the navigation monitor screen has gone black and reset 10 to 15 times. When this happened, on 2 to 4 occasions, a red "electric power steering warning light" comes on for a few seconds and the steering hesitates. This happened while driving on i-5 at 60+ mph. It didn't happen after i slowed down to less than 50 mph.

The abs actuator assembly has been deemed faulty in several toyota/lexus vehicles. Instead of the a recall being issued a warranty enhancement was put in place to address this issue for anyone who took the car to the shop. However with out a recall most people who were owners of these vehicles was not aware to have the part checked and this is a safety issue, a very expensive part that should not normally fail and with out a recall or a letter from lexus/toyota a lot of people was put at a disadvantage with being able to address this issue before the warranty enhancement expired. While in motion i received all kind of error lights and a message to pull my vehicle over as soon as possible and notify the dealer. At this time my abs system is compromised and i have no traction control and my abs actuator continues to vibrate even when i turn the car off which is using the battery even more. It pulsates the entire time the car is running also. I feel with lexus know this is a faulty part it on several of their vehicles customers that was not made aware of this issue or the warranty enhancement should not be held labile with the repair cost which is 1800 for the part and 300-400 for labor. This should be a recall or the warranty enhancement should be extended and all owners of these vehicles should be notified and lexus/toyotashould compensate with a replacement part all the owners of vehicles which was effected. This took place while my vehicle was in motion on the interstate. My brakes are very hard to use.
Vehicle stability control fails recurrently. To dealer twice with only temporary resolution.

Intermittently hesitation of power when stepping on the gas after every oil change which will resolve itself after driving few hundred miles.this can be very dangerous situation.
When driving warning lights came on vsc(vehicle stability control), traction control, check engine; warning text to take to dealer. The cruise control did not work and the performance of the motor declined, loss of power and excessive engine noise. When stationary upon inspection both high pressure fuel pumps that reside in the rear top of the valve covers showed signs of leaking gasoline and oil. The passenger side was so bad that the chance of igniting was imminent, as it leaked onto the exhaust below and came in contact with an o2 sensor directly below on the engine block, that has an electrical connector. My vehicle currently has 170k miles. At 85k miles the recall #10v30900 (valve springs) was performed. Upon investigation this recall was incomplete as it did not include a serviceable part gasket #2322438010 that should have been included in the "valve spring kit"#0400037338. This gasket is always replaced when the fuel pumps are removed. It resides in the valve cover under the removable fuel pump plate. All other serviceable gaskets in the fuel pump were included: 2 o-rings for mount bolts, 2 ring gaskets for fuel dampener, 1pump to plate gasket but not the plate to valve cover gadket. This is a known leaking problem for 2007-2008 ls460 (years included in the recall), most commonly seen as oil leaks at the valve cover but mine and others show degradation to where gas leaks from the pump to plate gasket as well. The possibility of a severely deteriated gasket at the valve cover #2322438010 has the possibility of pieces falling into the moveable parts area that were the reason for the recall. This non replaced gasket should have been replaced and it has created a fire hazard. I currently show dtc p0455, p0441, p0455, p0441. The p0012 vsc error has resolved recently after clearing the memory.
I'm getting a loss of power on acceleration.. Happens of and on every other day.... I read alot about this issue online, but lexus has no real fix for it... I have all tyhe recall the related to this issue, but the problems continues...

The contact owns a 2007 lexus ls460. The contact stated a strong odor of fuel emitted through the vehicle vent into the cabin. The contact became aware of the odor when attempted to drive or when the vehicle was in idle. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer and dealership was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. The failure mileage was approximately 158,000.*ln
An interim notice was issued october 15, 2014. Almost six months have passed, and i have not received a notice to have a resolution to this potentially explosive problem.

The brake actuator on this vehicle fails and disables the abs system. This is a costly fix for comsumers.

The contact owns a 2007 lexus ls460. The contact stated that the brake lights remained illuminated while driving. The brake warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to jim hudson lexus of columbia dealer, (328 killian rd, columbia, sc 29203) and was diagnosed that the brake actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 52,800.

Lexus diagnosed the front brake actuator is failing. Apparently this was a known issue and there was a customer support program that extended the warranty on this part to december 31, 2017 or 150,000 miles.this issue appeared at about 100,000 miles on my vehicle, but beyond the expiration date of the customer support program and lexus has refused to repair it at no cost or consider an extension.i consider this issue a safety risk as it concerns the braking system.given that lexus previously acknowledged the issue on these vehicles and there is a safety concern, i believe a recall campaign should be formally announced.

My kids and i was traveling in vehicle when i tried to apply the brakes and noticed my car would not stop. I was traveling approx. 25 mph on city street and had to pull over and later get my car towed to dealership. The dealership explained my actuator needs replacing and lexus will cover the cost, however the actuator caused my brake pump to go out. Lexus have not issued a recall but have put an "extended warranty" in place until 12/2017, my family lives was endangered due to this failure and now lexus want to charge me $2k to replace the brake booster pump assembly. This part is directly related to the abs system. Lexus representative mike stated "we will pay for actuator ($2k) and you will pay for the pump). My husband contacted lexus corporate and spoke with kathrina boyles and denied our case and reinterated lexus will only cover the actuator-she also sent us a denial letter. How is this possible? lexus do not want to issue a recall on the actuator because that would be them taking blame so they cowardly issued an "extended warranty". My actuator malfunctioning put my family life in extreme danger and caused my pump to malfunction and yet lexus want me to pay the bill. Do lexus care that my family life was put in danger? should i contact a lawyer or local news station and tell my dangerous story. My god i couldn't stop the car immediately and swerved all over the place until i was able get car to slow down.
Lexus had received numerous reports where various brake system related warning lamps illuminate due to internal malfunctions of the brake actuator assembly.while my 2007 ls 460's brake actuator assembly was replaced under this recall/warranty and was replaced 3 years ago, my vehicle continues to have the same issue.the lexus's recall letter dated april 19, 2016 to me stated that the primary coverage offers warranty enhancement until december 31, 2017, regardless of mileage after the primary coverage end, the secondary coverage is applicable for 10 years from the date of first use, or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first.lexus is refusing to replace the faulty brake actuator.this continues to be an issue for most of the ls 460 vehicles that had the brake actuators replaced.
There is a safety related defect in my vehicle which can cause the braking system to fail completely. I do lot of highway driving and some lights like abs , traction , brake and warning turn on and my brake system starts behaving bad. After some research and talking to lexus dealership i found out that this model has a design defect and the brake actuator go bad. This is a safety issue and it should be a recall but lexus instead extended the warranty on this item and have replaced this device for free on these models but when i called they said warranty is not going to cover it and i have to pay out of my pocket. It costs roughly $3000 parts and labor. I do not want to sell my car in this condition as i do not want the buyer to die from it. Lot of people are buying these cars without knowing that there is a big risk and they may loose their lives. I request safety administration to come forward and look into this issue and save 100s of lives. Just imagine you are driving on highway have brand new brake pads new tires and all of a sudden your braking system fails and you loose your life. Please take action.
I have filed a complaint with corporate lexus about the notorious 'brake actuator ' issue. There was a recall campaign 150k miles or 10 years from manufacture build date. What i am having is noise coming from the brake actuator when the pedal is depressed. This issue will only lead up to the brake actuator failing and causing a catasrophic accident. My vehicle only has 88k miles. Dealership and corporate knows of the issue and will not honor the warranty enhancement. There is a reason why they had this extended campaign because they know that the brake actuators in these vehicles are faulty. Not only on this model but other models and most recently newer vehicles made by lexus are having this issue and are being called in to have the brake actuator fixed. The control arms on this vehicle is also another issue but i dont mind forking the bill on that because it is a wear and tear item. The noise of my brake actuator will grunt on the highway streets and while parked. As a life long lexus consumer i am extremly bothered that they do not care about their customers safety. Mind you the repair is roughly $5000 rediculous that customers have to fork out the money on a vehicle they call their flagship. It is not a matter of 'if' it will fail but 'when'. Conaidering the amount of vehicles affected by this i am very surprised theres no actual 'recall' for this specific vehicle. The number is in the thousands. Highly dissapointed in lexus as they are willing to sacrafice the safety of their customers over a faulty part the car was manufactured with. Also supposedly they sent out letters for the warranty enhancement but i never received one or a phone call stating that owners were able to bring in their vehicle to have this repaired. I had this issue before the warranty enhancement was over and they said if there is no light they wont honor it.
At random times when driving our car, the abs, vsc and brake warninglights come on on the dashboard.when this happens the abs system becomes inoperative, and the front brakes can easily lock up during moderately heavy braking.we believe toyota has purposely designed the system to disable the abs functionality when there is a possible problem detected in the abs accumulator.that does not seem like a good idea.the warning lights sometimes go off for a while (a few days sometimes) and then return at random times and during various driving conditions.the warning lights usually come on when driving at moderate speed, and when not touching the brake pedal.from our research it seems like this issue is well known and documented, and toyota sometimes repairs the brake system at no cost, however it seems like this should be a required recall.our car has low miles for the year, only 86k.we have asked for help from lexus however have not gotten any response so far.
The contact owns a 2007 lexus ls460. While driving approximately 10 mph, the vehicle lost steering power while turning. The steering warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was coasted to the side of the road, turned off, and restarted. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 133,000. Updated 03/02/17*lj
As idrivemy car the cars drifts a little to each side as it drifts to either side the steering wheel gets completely stuck k on me and i am no longer able to steer the vehicle . I would then have to jerky wheel with force causes the whole car to jerki had to leave my car in a parking lot and find another way home because it's to dangerous to drive in it with my 2 year old and self . As i was driving on a highway going 60 miles per hour . Very dangerous ! extremely upset !
While driving, the navigation monitor screen has gone black and reset 10 to 15 times. Door armrests are disintegrating. The surface is very tacky which is becoming soiled and can not be cleaned. This rubber material also deteriorated on the trunk (lit switch cover) but was replaced under warranty
Lexus ls 2007..trunk will not open...numerous attempts open the trunk has failed. Several mechanic has tried to open the trunk and couldn`t not open the trunk. Checked the fuses, tried the key fob, the valet switch in the glove compartment was checked. The button under the trunk lid handle did not open the trunk.the trunk release button under the dashboard was unresponsive. Used the physical key in the trunk and it open about 1/4", but still won`t open. The emergency latch in the trunk would not open the trunk either. I case of an emergency, i am unable to gain entrance to the trunk...flat tire, child accidently locked in the trunk..etc. The vehicle was stationary when the problem occurred.

The dashboard and side trim on the door has become sticky causing glare in the windshield which makes driving hazardous as difficult to see through the windshield while driving.our 2007 lexus ls460 has only 23,000 miles on it as it has been garaged most of the time we have owned it.lexus will not process a recall to cover this issue.legally they have a 'duty of care' with the manufacturing of this vehicle which they are refusing to meet.
The dash boardand door panelssticky and cracking
The contact owns a 2007 lexus ls460 . The contact stated that when she attempted to park, the vehicle suddenly accelerated and crashed into a cement wall. The contact was injured. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer but the failure could not be diagnosed. The vin was unavailable. The current and failure mileages were approximately 75,000.
