My dashboard lights started to go out on my lexus ls400. Initially the lights would not turn on while the weather was cold and after a few months the lights would not turn on at all. I have seen similar complaints on the internet and wonder why there has not been a recall yet. This has to be a safety hazard, not knowing your speed and also not knowing how much gas you have seems to be a problem.
Dashboard lights flicker but do not come on, we cannot drive the vehicle at night. The fuel gauge indicator is inoperable.
Recurring problem with the 1994 lexus ls 400.when outside temperature droppedbelow 50 degrees fahrenheit the instrument panel lights and gauges ceased operating for a period of 15 to 30 minutes , until the engine and /or interior temperature warmed sufficiently.lexus dealership quoted $1200 to repair an obvious manufacturing defect. This was apparently a very widespread problem. Can vbe erified by googling lexus intrument cluster repair and refer to the clublexus web site.

The contact owns a 1994 lexus ls. The contact stated that thefront passenger seat belts would not retract back into position. The contact took his vehicle into his local dealer who advised him that the repair cost was at his expense for $502.00 . The failure mileage was 75,000.
