Takata recall; i want this taken care of! i just found out about the recall because i went to trade my car in for a new one.i cannot afford the new one now, but i drive my grandchildren around every day.no one told me about this and i am livid.i have my oil changed every 5,000 miles at the local lexus dealership so my information is definitely on file. Does someone have to die for lexus to take care of this???the lawsuits you will be paying for will be far greater than if they just hire extra people to take care of all these cars.
Takata recall- i have been advised not to operate my vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat which is absolutely ridiculous! when calling lexus service they just state they can't fix the recall at this time and really nothing they can do!this is unacceptable. It is going to take a death to make this recall important and get out problems fixed in a timely manner
Dealer, atlantic city lexus, advises that it is very costly to repair the air bag system as it involves miles of wires.therefore, i don't want to drive the car.
Takata recall.recently financed a 2010 lexus is250 in dec 2015. Shortly after i can't recall exactly when i noticed the airbag light was lit on, but i never paid much attention because i assumed that it was lit because it meant working active.after doing research i have learned that this was not the case and is showing defective. This has been and still is a big concern for many owners for a safety and deadly reasons.i am almost afraid to drive my car now for fear.i also do not not have the possible quoted other complaints for $3,000+ to fix this safety default.i am very disappointed in lexus/toyota for not having these defective non safe airbags on recall.
Cpu under seat controlling car airbags has failed. Lexus will not fix the issue. Airbags may not deploy or inflate.lexus states its not a saftey issue requiring their attention. Lexus stated they know aboutthe issue and it is happening in other vehicles.someone is going to get seriously injured because of this.
Takata recall, the fix for this recall has taken almost a year and suggested that no one sits in the front passenger seat which has been very inconvenient for me and my family.

Takata recalli have been calling the lexus dealers here in texas for almost a year after getting the recall letter and they still do not have parts for theairbag. In the mean time, someone could be killed sitting in my passenger seat. I have grandkids that i transport to school and athletic activities. My car is almost 8 years old and i live in a high humid state. I have even talked to corporate from lexus and they have no answers or remedies and no timeline as when my car will be fixed. This looks like a lawsuit in the making.
Takata recall - immediately after purchasing this used car, i noticed the red light, but was not aware at the time that it was warning light.so my airbag redlight remains on all the time once the car is started. I later was informed that this should not be happening and i am now fearful and see this as an airbag defect that could lead to serious concern of questionable safety.i think it is unfair that lexus now wants to charge me $280 for a diagnostic for the root of this problem, when in fact they know that these takata airbags are not safe and millions of cars have already been recalled.
Takata inflators- i received a recall notice in june 2016 and was originally told parts would be available in sep 2016, then oct- jan 2017 and finally early 2017. I was told not to have anyone ride in my passenger seat. 1. This is not possible long term2. I don't have the money to pay for my current car plus a rental every 30 days and wait for a check to be mailed to me. 3. I don't have the means to store 2 cars long term. 4. I don't believe this problem is limited to the passenger airbags. The dealership has been referring me to lexus and lexus has been referring me to the dealership. No one wants to take ownership and fix the problem. It is not safe for me to drive my car and lexus will not acknowledge the problem.

Takata recall- the dealership offers no help as to when my passenger airbag will be replaced and merely tells me to not drive anyone in my car unless they are in the back seat. This car originated in texas, a high humidity state, and i have no idea how much degradation has taken place . I reside in oklahoma and purchased the car this year, 2016, from a private party in oklahoma and was not made aware of any problems. I am concerned about driving this car and have no idea when it will be fixed or if that will happen before takata goes out of business.
Takata recall: i received a recall notice months ago stating that they have no remedy for this at this time but that no one should be sitting in the passenger seat or they may die. When are they going to offer a solution? it's not a solution to tell someone not to use the passenger seat in a 2 door convertible! i just want toyota to be responsible and fix this.

This 2010 is250 was purchased new in october 2009 and has approximately 3,300 miles.on feb 19th, 2010 driver made a u-turn at low speed. After the completion of the turn the car started an uncommanded acceleration, causing it to spin to the right. The car then jumped a curb with the wheel still spinning and the bottom resting on the curb. Pushing and holding the start/stop button in the car finally cut the engine. Significant damage to the underside and left rear wheel of the car. This vehicle is unsafe to drive as uncommanded acceleration could have led to serious injuries or death. Vehicle is currently located at south bay lexus in torrance ca.
Isfs year models 2008-2014 are affected the valley plate leak due to the fact that toyota/lexus utilized the improper sealant and used the improper amount, leading to the heat exchanger leaking coolant once the original, inadequate sealant begins to disintegrate. This could cause a condition where the engine could fail and someone could get hurt.furthermore, all isfs will eventually have a cracked rh manifold on the #8 runner. This can cause a fire hazard in addition to carbon monoxide poisoning.
Known by lexus as a common failure in the 2ur engine is the valley plate coolant leak.this is a failure that the majority of owners in the forums have reported as well as my personal vehicle experiencing.can happen as few as 50k miles. There is currently a recall of the fuel delivery pipe on my vehicle which is a 2010. I am currently in for service and they are telling me the fuel pump also needs to be replaced as it is leaking as well. They are telling me it is not under recall and is almost $2,4000. Per consumer report: toyota and lexus are recalling about 1.8 million vehicles from the 2013 through 2019 model years because their fuel pump could stop working, which could lead to a sudden stall or hesitation while driving. The problem increases the risk of a crash, especially when the vehicle is traveling at a high speed. Some of these vehicles are being added to an existing recall that was already announced in january.i would like this looked into further as there is a correlation in 2013-2019 models.
While driving at highway speeds cruise control set and not set, slight acceleration vehicle seems to completely loose gear and connection with drive train, the rpms spontaneously jump to 6500 to 7000, move the shifter at this point to neutral. Rmps drop to 1200 and then place the shifter to drive and everything reengages. This condition is intermittent. It has happened upon accelerating to reach highway speeds.
Currently have a 2010 lexus is250 awd (bought on 2/9/2010) and noted on several occasions that the rpms increase randomly after the car has stopped and is stationary. The car inches forward and the driver has to apply more pressure on the brake pedal to make sure the car doesn't lurch forward and hit the car in front. The rpms go up almost 1000 rpms from idling.happens in d and r. When turning on car putting the gear r the car just lurches backwards unless the brake pedal is heavily depressed. This seems to be a software / ecm issue as the accelerator pedal is not being inadvertently being pressed.as this car is not even one week old, i want to return the car.can you please help me with this?

2008 lexus is250 awd had pulled into a parking space on a slight incline and stopped. When the operator tried to put the vehicle into park the engine revved and car moved violently forward climbing an eight inch curb to hit a concrete column on the front of an office building. The driver had their foot off the gas and applied the brake to no effect, when the driver moved the gear shift into neutral the car returned to normal and the driver was able to back off the column in reverse and park the vehicle. Have turned the car over to lexus and a factory field representative is scheduled to examine. Car is at toyota knoxville body shop.
Daily driver of the vehicle for two years was easing into a parking space and applying the brakes when vehicle surged forward over a curb eventually crashing into a tree.after the vehicle went over the curb it went through a chain link fence and down a steep embankment leading to a great deal of chaos and confusion as to whether the brakes continued to be applied, but the driver is confident that the brakes were being applied when the initial surge occurred.the driver's spouse experienced a similar event about a month earlier when driving about 2 mph down a long driveway.in this instance the engine revved to a higher speed when the brakes were applied but the brakes did stop the car before theengine speed returned to normal.

The dashboard has melted, producing a significant glare that impairs my vision through the windshield when the sun hits it. The dashboard is sticky.
This regarding 2010 lexus is250 and we owned one. This vehicle has problem with dashboard getting sticky it is kind of melting due to heat and humidity. And lexus is aware of this problem. But they are not aware of is because of sticky dashboard it releases oily fume and it goes on to windshield and makes it foggy. This is on going problem. My son is driving this vehicle and according to him is in the long-distance driving he has to pull over multiple time to clean windshield . Just because of our car has salvage title lexus will not pay or replace this sticky dashboard. Having a salvage title does not mean car is not on the road and no-onebehind the driver seat..i would request you to look in to this matter. This is life and death safety concerns to us. Thanks

The car was stopped about to be put into park and then it revved up on it's own and the brakes were pressed but the car sped up until it crashed into another vehicle.
I purchased a lexus is350c on feb 12, 2010.on july 29, 2010 with a little over 9,000 miles on the vehicle, i was getting on the freeway at whipple headed north on 101, i accelerated really hard to avoid oncoming traffic.when i let up on the accelerator the car lost power!i couldn't accelerate or keep up with traffic.the engine was running like there were several cylinders not working.the antiskid and check engine light came on.i drove to the hillsdale shopping center and parked the car.when i restarted the car it ran ok.i drove the car directly to the lexus service department for a repair.the service department had the car for about a week but could not reproduce the problem.they returned the car to me with no solution to the problem.i am very concerned that this is a serious safety problem with lexus, toyota is sweeping under the carpet.i could have been killed if the other drivers had not been driving safely.when i spoke to lexus corporate they stated there was nothing they could do.
