Tamara recall. I feel that they are doing nothing to resolve this problem. I received this notice in may of 2016 and it is now october 2016 . Why don't they just replace the air bag with a different one. Remove the defective one not send a notice not to use your car.i have a child and he sits in the passenger seat and if anything were to happen to him because of the lack of response to the recall . I will take legal action especially hearing about the lady who just recently died regarding these airbags.i keep asking lexus on when they are going to fix the problem and they said next year (2017) sometime. Why is it that our safety is nota priority. But they sure are in a rush to sell you a car. I bought my car to use it not sit at home to look pretty and stay parked because that's the advice they are giving us. How hard is it to replace 1 airbag . Accidents happen every day and no one knows when they will be involved in one. I work really far from home and i am scared to drive my car knowing that at anytime my airbag car deploy on its own or in fear of being involved in an accident that will cause my air bag to deploy.

Takata recallin june 2016 i received a letter notifying me that my passenger airbag was on recall for being dangerous & harmful if inflated and to not have any front seat passengers in my vehicle. To date, there hasn't been a fix for the recall which has been going on 8 months now.i am very upset that this issue hasn't been resolved. No one has checked on my vehicle nor offered a loaner. I recently took my car in for service & a rental car option was mentioned. That isn't acceptable when i'm paying a car note for a vehicle to which i can not fully use. I have a disabled parent who i care for & it's not comfortable for her to ride in the back seat. The backseat of the is250 is tight & more comfortable for kids not adults. I am her sole care taker and this inconvenient issue as lexus explains it, is not acceptable. At this point i do not believe that lexus or the manufacturer are trying to come up with a fix or replacement because the vehicle is an older model. If that is the case, then lexus needs to either replace or buy back these vehicles.

Takata recall.it has been 12 months since we were notified of this recall, and the dealership has yet to have a remedy available, with no possible date in sight.we do not feel safe driving the vehicle and cannot accommodate passengers.this is not a timely remedy.

I was driving my vehicle and the vehicle 3 car lengths ahead of me put on his brakes and when i went to put on my brakes my car continued to accelerate and i had no control of the braking and ran into the back of the vehicle. My airbags failed to deploy- my car was a complete loss to the front end ($17,000.00) and the insurance appraiser, body shop, police officer, towing company were stunned that the airbags failed to deploy do to the severity ofimpact anddamage.

"takata recall"since recall no repair has been obtained yet, presumably due to ''no replacement parts available'' says sole local dfw dealership which supposedly put me on a waiting list.

Takata recallaccording to safercar.gov, there has been an airbag recall (#16v340) since 5/23/16 with no remedy. What can be done to get this expedited as this has been very inconvenient for me? i drive this vehicle everyday as it is my sole means of transportation.

I was driving in heavy traffic (stop and go); i was fully stopped with my foot on the brake - i eased off the brake to slowly roll forward - absolutely did not place my foot on or anywhere near the gas pedal - as i eased off brake, i felt a strong "surge" from the front of the car- the car accelerated and i slammed in to a truck that was directly in front of me- i looked at the dashboard as this was happening and the "check engine" light and the "traction" light were both on - itried to brake but the brake pedal was hard - i was stopped due to the impact of hitting the truck-- i am attaching the edr report as retrieved by a company lexus contracts with

Drove over gravel on road, then steering column froze up. When brought to lexus they said all the electrical steering components are broke. My insurance co. Said parts are made of plastic, and would take a minor occurrence to cause breakage to these necessary parts. Insuranceco. Says it she be under warranty (i have less then 3,000 miles), but lexus says no!

Unintended acceleration eventwhile driving up a steep hill, vehicle began to accelerate quickly on it's own accord.while braking, the brakes went all the way to the floor and only served to destabilize the vehicle and slow it slightly.tachometer was pegged at 6,000 rpm and the vehicle would not stop.after pushing the "start" button several times the vehicle shut down and was brought to a stop.this took almost two minutes and was extremely dangerous.lexus inspected the vehicle and determined it operating as designed, with no manufacturing defects found.we sold this vehicle to the lexus dealer for $26,000 well below the low blue book.

Car suddenly lurched forward (while my foot was on the brake approaching a stop sign) and struck the vehicle in front of me on january 6, 2012.this problem occurred again in december 2012 and january 2013, i.e., car lurched forward while driver's foot was on the brake while approaching a stop light/sign. The latter incidents did not result in any accident or injury.

Intermittent problem - car occasionally pulls to either side, right or left, when applying brakes. A video recording of the latest incident, which occurred on 7/29/11, showing the steering wheel spinning 90 degrees to the left when brakes were applied at a speed of approximately 10 mph while driving on the grand central parkway in queens, new york is available upon request. The problem was reported to lexus corporate and brought to lexus of queens (new york city) for correction on 7/19/11. Since the technician was unable to duplicate the problem, it was determined that, "vehicle is operating as designed." i can not, with complete certainty, state that the brakes are causing the problem. However, an ase-certified master technician, when the problem was described to him offered his opinion. He wrote, "when a vehicle pulls either way the possible problems are no fluid pressure getting to opposite side of the pulling, a frozen or sticking caliper or partly collapsed flex hose on the opposite side of the pulling. The abs and/or traction control system might not be allowing pressure to the brake caliper. There also could be air trapped in the system." additional documentation will be mailed to nhtsa.updated 08-29-11 updated 10/17/11updated 02/07/12the consumer stated the brake pulling happens about every 195 miles. About six months after getting this car brand new i started smelling a foul odor.it happened every time i used the air conditioning.when i went to open the fresh air mode a moldy/musty smell emanated throughout the car.it continued and i took the car in several times to lexus. They changed the cabin filters, even used a state of the art process to eliminate the odor - but it kept coming back.they claimed it was an environmental issue. However i got an attorney who suggested i hire a mold expert and sure enough they found a toxic mold in the engine.lexus still refused to do anything about this.everyone who has been in my car smells this except the people at lexus.it is documented that the mold exists, but they refuse to admit it's probably due to a leak in the a/c system.they would never take the a/c apart to find the leak so i've had to drive this smelly car for the past 2 1/2 years....i'm going to turn it in early for fear of breathing in this toxic mold and shame on lexus for not being concerned about my health.an air conditioning expert in los angeles told me he has had several complaints about similar smells from the is.my doctor said this mold is man made and not environmental so it must be from water condensation.also, my car had several other issues like the fresh air mode would not stay open so that the water condensation could dry out.that had to be repaired two or three times.

My dashboard is melting and it's hard to see when driving because of the sun reflext

During the month of december 2013, i experienced several incidents of unintended acceleration. I also had several before december that i didn't pay much attention to. What they had in common was that the vehicle was almost stopped with my foot on the brake when i experienced a surge. In one instance, i was easing out of a strip mall parking lot onto a major highway with just the idle speed momentum moving the car with my foot on the brake. The car surged and pulled me into the roadway blindly but fortunately there were no oncoming vehicles. Happened again on march 20, 2014 with full documentation on my part.
