Takata inflators. I had my car into the dealership after receiving several notices of the recall. I was told at the dealership i would be placed on waiting list for the recall parts. That has been months ago. I called today to inquire about the recall wait list and i was told they are not working on the convertibles. I would have to wait. I asked if i was not suppose to use the front passenger seat and she said they have had no issues or complaints with the pass seat. I am a realtor and use my car everyday for work with passengers in the front pass seat. Any idea how long this recall repair will take? i do t want me clients to be unsafe in my vehicle. Thank you

Takata recall: recall began may 23,2016.lexus has not fixed my car and it is now jan 20, 2017.eight months is entirely too long to still be determining the solution.the safecar.gov site states that some cars have been fixed.i am in the first phase of recalls, yet still don't have a car that i can drive!!

Takata recall - this recall was issued in may 2016 and now, 9 months later, there is still no remedy available.

Takata recallwhen will this be resolved, it has been 6 months since my notice?it is not rocket science since other inflators are working.

Takata recall-i was notified of the takata recall on my is 250 year 2010 back in july.i contacted the dealer the same day and was put on a waiting list.i followed up with them multiple times to see when the parts would be in inventory and they kept saying soon.did not apologize for any inconveniences at any time. This recall has also been reported to my insurance company therefore limiting the 100% use of my car. I was contacted monday march 20, 2017 (9 months later) that finally the parts have arrived.this is terrible consumer satisfaction and consumer quality.basically i purchased a 4 passenger car, to only really only have 3 passengers for almost a year.i used to be part of a carpool and no longer can which adds more mileage to my car.i was never offered a loaner car from the dealer and was told that the parts had to be manufactured which was why it took over 6 months.i would love to be part of any class action lawsuit or contacted for more information if needed about how this has affected day to day activities.

Since i bought this vehicle in 2010 i have been experiencing "raw fuel" smell and "catalytic converter" smell occasionally. It seems to happen most often when a small hill is climbed and when going down subsequently. I mentioned it to the dealer a few times but they said it was the wind! i never had these strong smells with any other car that i owned.

My dashboard is really sticky, i bought me the sun shade to cover it from the sun but it still gets sticky. Some of it got on the sun shade.

The automatic dimming rearview mirror on my lexus may present a hazard due to its failure to adequately dim bright trailing headlights quickly and sufficiently, sometimes resulting in a several second blinding by headlight in following cars. My lexus dealer says that the mirror is to "spec" and that they cannot fix it. I demonstrated to the dealer that the mirror took 5 seconds to start to respond to a trailing headlight and another 2 seconds to darken. Thus, for example, a truck could pull into the lane behind the lexus and the mirror would take 7 seconds to fully dim the truck's headlights. In addition, there is no way to keep the mirror dim, that is, when the trailing light ceases the mirror brightens. In addition, in a brightly lit situation, such as on a highway with good overhead lighting, the mirror "thinks" it's daylight and will not dim at all, even when a very bright headlight from a following car/truck is shining into it.this is a dangerous application of a "half-way" technology that has not been developed fully and could lead to a dangerous situation. For both safety and utility, a simple "flip" rearview mirror that stays dim and is dim enough to prevent blinding by trailing headlights would be much safer than the high-tech, but unsafe, lexus rearview mirror.
