Melting dashboard recall. I have a 2009 lexus is 250 melting chipped dashboard and doors. It's very hard to see while driving due to the fact that the dashboard causes a glare in the window. Also the smell of melting plastic dash is sickening. I have recently taken my car to a lexus dealership to have sewell replace the airbags every since then my navigation system has been making weird noises and now it's completely not working black screen and the buttons on the side is not working. To make matters worse my ac is on and i can't turn off because of the buttons are not working. Very frustrating and i'm freezing.
A year or so ago my car started overheating.i stopped and the car shut off.the computer system froze and said checking system and showed a drawing of a car frame and what i guess is the heat source.i took my car to the mechanic and he replaced the water pump.it had cracked and boiled over and ever since i have had nothing but problems.i've replaced the alternator, the battery, and my navigation system is blank and completely doesn't work.nor do the buttons around it.the motherboard is fried.also sometimes when i'm driving at night my headlights turn off in the pitch black driving down the road.my dashboard is melting and since i'm a realtor who puts a lot of miles on her car, i'm underwater.i'm either going to have a heat stroke driving that sauna around (the heat is stuck on) or crash when my headlights suddenly stop working. My daughter is learning to drive and i cannot let her drive once it gets dark.it's okay for me to die but not her.there doesn't need to be a sensor right under the water pump that can destroy your hole car.thank you for your time.

In early 2009 i took out a lease on a early 2009 is 250 lexus black, after few months in october at first instance i started noticing fuel odor inside of the car, coming through the air vent of the car, when the air flow button was on the setting which the air from outside would circulate within the car, and this setting was the default setting when you turn thecar on but after i took my car to the lexus dealershipwhile the car was still under manufacturers warranty they told me that the car was fine and i just had to change to the air flow setting so that only the air inside circulate within the car. I was unpleased, until few times that i complaint i did not get anywhere at the dealer ship until i received the recall notice, which is a week before my lease is up.

The dashboard on my lexus is-250 2009 has been slowly melting for several years leaving a shiny and wet look and feel. This shiny area of the dashboard is directly over the drivers view and reflects on the underside of the windshield. In heavy or direct light (same at night) the reflected light obscures the view out onto the roadway. I believe in the right circumstances a pedestrian or another car could possibly be hidden by the reflected light from the dashboard. I can upon your request provide a video of the surface and the light problems while driving.

After adding air to the tire, the contact noticed that air continued to escape from the tire. The left and right side mirrors have become loose and freely move forward and backward.i have to use heavy duty cloth tape to permanently secure them in the rear facing orientation.i found a youtube video which discloses the mechanical defect that needs to be corrected.this is a safety hazard if the mirrors were not held steady in the rear facing orientation and this mechanical defect should not occur.
