While driving south on a three lane roadway, my daughter and i were involved in a collision. While i was driving, a motorist was exiting a fast food restaurant parking lot from the right side of the road, and suddenly accelerated across oncoming traffic (assuming the driver wanted to make a left turn) without observing the right of way to the drivers on the road.the vehicle hit my car on the front passenger side where my child was sitting.the drivers' side airbags did deploy, but the passenger side airbags did not deploy.the passenger side was hit with the forceful impact from the negligent driver. I did not hear any vehicle warnings prior to the collision. A police report was made for this incident.

My wife's car was hiton the side by a stolen car fleeing something.her front and lower leg air bag went off.the side air bags did not go off.

My car has only 80,000 miles is 2010 and is telling me to check the hybrid sistemthe hybrid battery is supposed to work longer more miles i really need help

I have a complete loss of motive power a lot when i run over a bump and then my car accelerate faster almost causing me to hit someone in the rear.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs250. The vehicle was repaired for recall 10v285000 (fuel system, gasoline: storage). When the contact received the vehicle back and was driving approximately 65 mph, he heard a rattle from under the vehicle. One week later, he could no longer hear the rattling. He then noticed the check engine light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was told to tighten the gas cap. The failure continued where the dealer stated that the gas cap still was not tightened. The failure continued. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000 and the current mileage was approximately 9,500.

I am the second owner of this lexus hs250 purchased 7/2020 it had a recalled hybrid transaxle replaced 7/2018, by the previous owner.however on 8/11/2020 upon starting the car and driving just 4000 the hybrid battery failed andneeds to be replaced. I have read that the previous recall is to blame for the hybrid battery failing prematurely and short circuiting this battery replacement should also be covered by the manufacturer.

My lexus hs250h periodically lunges forward when i'm at a complete stop.this lunging occurs when the vehicle is in drive while using the foot-break (such as at a stop light).it also occurs when in park with the emergency break on.the lunging has also occurred when i've started the vehicle and have sat idle (in park with the emergency break on) for a few moments before putting the car in gear.initially i thought it was movement caused by the gas engine automatically shutting off, but have ruled this out after paying close attention to each incident.i have taken the car in to the dealership for this issue.this issue has been occurring weekly, for months-sometimes the lunge is more forceful than other times.i'm indicating today's date as the incident date as this is the date i've taken the vehicle in to the dealership.

On 8/16/19, i was leaving for work, and went to reverse my vehicle out of garage, down inclined driveway, found out that the brakes were completely out accompanied by warning beeping rapidly. The power steering also locked up. I was able to push emergency brake, which did stop the vehicle, i put in car in drive and went forward into garage and pushed/locked emergency brake again to store vehicle in garage on flat surface. Car was towed to local toyota (lexus certified) service shop. Diagnostic showed that abs master cylinder needed repair, once repaired they then tell me the booster pump also needed repair. A simple google search revealed that in 2013 these exact parts were recalled on this same year/make/model however my vin was excluded from this recall. It is believedthat these parts are defected and should have been included in this recall initially. It simply cannot be a coincidence that these parts for the 2010 lexus 250 h were identified as defective, along with 7 other recalls for my vin alone. The previous day i had taken a trip 2 hours away, and back home. Had i been driving when this happened the results could have been deadly.

Brake booster pump wentother vins same make model and year were recalled for this but not my vin4k job

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the brake pedal was depressed however, braked ceased. The contact stated that the abs, hybrid brake assembly, traction control warning lights were illuminated. The ignition was cycled to the off and on position however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to (sewell buick gmc of dallas 7474 lemmon ave, dallas, tx 75209(214) 350-8000) where it was determined that the brake booster pump failed and needed to be replaced. The repair was still pending. The contact mentioned nhtsa campaign number: 13v235000 (service brakes) as a possible solution to the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.

While driving anytime i attempt to slow the vehicle the brakes do not work as it should the car continue to roll forward for a few seconds before it completely stops. Abs and traction control lights are on. My mechanic inspected the vehicle and advised that brake booster pump needs to be replaced and said there is a safety recall for this faulty part. I took my car to lexus but they refused to fix the recall as my vin is not listed in effected vehicles vin list. Please help/

2010 lexus 250hs brake actuator. Driving along a city street going 45 mph. Slowing down to approach a stop light. Immediately after depressing brake pedal the red brake light and abs light comes on. My pedal goes straight to the floor and i have no brakes and almost crashed my car into the rear end of another car. Diagnostic showed code c1391that abs master cylinder needed repair. I paid for a car report and found three recalls regarding that problem,toyota/lexus never notified me about those.i just copy paste the report that i have paid to have information about the recalls. So i just got this lexus 2 days agoand i notice that if i have to brake suddenly, the car rolls forward for like a extra 3 seconds..you can feel when the brakes lock up and make the car slide forward, and you can also hear it as well..this is super dangerous and needs to be fixed

Anytime i ride over a bumpy patch on a road on a street and then attempt to slow the vehicle, the brakes do not appear to work as one would expect. The car continues to roll forward for a few seconds prior to coming to a complete stop. This is extremely unnerving. To date, this has not resulted in an accident, but if not addressed it could lead to potential damages.

My brake booster fails while driving and there is a recall for other toyotas not for lexus hs250h have to pay out of package for repair. The rear light is led and they burn out no replacement from lexus.

The vehicle won't stop. It was a very cold day, it had been snowinga bit and i was at an intersection. The car seemed to keep going and the abs did not deploy either.

My car has lost braking/slipped 3 or 4 times in the same spot on my street where there is uneven payment.i drive the new lexus hs250h... It sounds very similar to the prius brake recall. I have had the car 2 months. After a couple of brake pressings, the brakes resume.

I have a lexus hs250h year2010.when you go over a series of bumps or railroad tracks at about 40mph while hitting the brakes to slow up the brakes fail.even with my foot still on the brake pedal the brakes fail and i have to release my foot off the brakes andpress down again.i have had the car back at 1,000 2,500 and 5,000 and complained about it each time and was told the first two times that it was fixed.well the last time in when i told them again about it the dealer said when i was leaving and asked if they fixed the brakes he said "it is a characteristic of the hybird car to have the brakes react like that".well it is not safe like that.get one and try going fast over a series of holes or bumps or rough railroad tracks and put the brakes on just before you hit them and the brakes release even with your foot still on the brake pedal.

Lexus hs-250h 2010 momentary brake failure.

Not sure what happened but the car ran into a barrier pole while turning into the parking garage. The front bumper was damaged. I cannot tell if it was a problem with brake or not.

I have a new lexus hs hybrid and i have specifically noted problems with the brakes when going over bumps, potholes, etc. The brakes seem to 'skip a beat', or 'not catch' for a second after you go over a pothole and i noted this directly to lexus and in the survey forms i filled out for them.

When at a mid-speeds (typically 35 to 50 mph) and one tries to brake on a rough, uneven or loose gravel surface, the car accelerates against the driver's braking.this is particularly problematic when making a turn from a bumpy or uneven road.the acceleration force overpowers the driver's braking and makes the turn difficult causing the driver potentially to overshoot the turn.this acceleration against braking has also occurred on straight road driving when one brakes from mid-speeds on uneven, bumpy or loose gravel roads.this event has occurred repeatedly in similar circumstances.

Brakes momentarily don't function as i drive over uneven road.it feels like you are hydro-planning(skidding) even though road is not wet.

While applying the brakes, nearly 100% of the time when i hit a bump of any sort (small, medium or large), there is an apparent loss of breaking and the car actually lunges forward -- feels like acceleration -- and even pressing firmly on the break does not slow down the vehicle.this has occurred on several (probably about 10) occasions since i first got this car.fortunately, it has never resulted in an accident, but i have come extremely close a few times.i do not feel safe in this car when it comes to braking.i never experienced anything like this on any vehicle. Especially with lexus.

This is to report a problem with braking system in lexus 250h 2010 model car. When i drive over a bump the car loses a braking power and it causes what seems like an acceleration forward. Luckily there were not any accidents yet as i keep sufficient distance, but it could lead to severe consequences.*tw

Entering a freeway from a downgrade cloverleaf entrance ramp.dealer used new car,7,000.00 miles.driving home from dealership after purchase.weather was mixed rain and freezing rain.i applied the brakes to complete the last segment of the clockwise cloverleaf turn.brakes locked.no anti-lock action occurred.car slid into the left curb and bounced off to hit the right curb.total front end undercarriage damage.cost to repair, $14,000.00+.more than a month to get parts and repair at dealer preferred repair shop.

While braking there is a sudden loss of brakes and simultaneous lurching or lunging forward of the car as if it is accelerating. It happens for a split second but it is very dangerous since something can be hit and/or it creates a very unsettling and unpredictable reaction from the driver and passengers. It is very unusual and i have never experienced anything like it. It has happened many times over the last two years, the last two times in feb. 2012. It happens during slippery conditions or when going over a bump.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs250. While driving approximately 65 mph, the driver applied the brakes. The vehicle began to brake as normal before the brakes felt tighter and the vehicle suddenly lost control. When the vehicle lost control it began to slide and then began braking as normal again. The failure occurred whenever heavy pressure was applied to the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was told the vehicle was functioning properly. The failure continued. The failure mileage was 3,000 and the current mileage was 9,500.

I purchased a new 2010 lexus hs250h on october 31, 2009.i commute approximately 20 miles each way to my office in downtown denver, co.approximately 2 months ago while traveling north on lincoln street and braking hard to slow for a left turn onto colfax with a green light, i experienced momentary brake failure and went into the intersection unable to slow or stop.the street in the far left turn lane has several large bumps and i initially attributed the problem to the car's suspension when i filled out a survey for lexus.since that event, i have had two more similar problems at the same intersection.on february 5, i reported the issue to the lexus dealership where i purchased the car and provided them imformation similar to the above details.they are looking into the issue at this time.i believe that this is similar to the issues reported with the 2010 prius and should be included with that research.

The car had a recall to correct the problem of brake failure on uneven, bumpy pavement. Had problem at least half dozen times before the recall repair was made. It did not solve the problem. I have had the problem several times since, usually in monmouth county, most times near my home, but last time in long island freeway. The brakes do not slow down/stop vehicle for approximately 1 second, and then start to work. It is intermittent problem. I had lexus rep come to test my car yesterday, november 9, 2010. They were not able to simulate problem, but have advised they have been able to simulate problem on other vehicles of this model since the recall repair. They advised that even if they simulate the non-braking, this is considered "normal" based on the lexus engineers. I want a car that brakes every time. It is not safe vehicle.

I was driving my lexus hs250 hybrid on a highway access road traveling about 30 miles per hour when a vehicle moved in front of me slammed on their brakes.when i fully engaged my brakes the car ahead of me was about 40 yards away.when i slammed on the brakes, the abs system activated and began slowly trying to stop the vehicle.it did not matter how hard i pressed the brake pedal the abs kept a gradual slowing.i missed the car in front of me by two inches.i took my car into the lexus dealer and they ran a full check of the abs and indicated its working how its supposed to.the reported software fix had been accomplished on my vehicle a few months ago. I've read a lot of information since the incident regarding the hs250/prius brake problems and the reported software fix and can assure you that did not address the problem.no brake system shouldtake that long to stop at that low of speed.the road surface was not highway smooth, but it was not bumpy nor was there excessive moisture on the road, whey toyota claims is a cause.since the dealer service department could not duplicate the problem i was sent on my way.

Lexis hs250h 2010.....on 4 different ocasions the brakes fade and almost caused me to have a rear end accident.i informed lexus and they said there was nothing wrong.i have owned a hybrid car in the past and the brakes on that car worked as they should.this vehicle you can not tell if it will stop in time.

On january 27 2012 my lexus took off by itself brakes would not stop the car reported to lexus dealer they found nothing wrong on april 10 2012 while on vacation in florida if happened again this time more power hitting a brick wall and damaging the car that we had to sell it because we were afraid to drive it.

We own a lexus hs-250h that seems to have a problem with the braking system. On uneven or bumpy road surfaces when the brakes are applied they do not initially respond. It takes a second braking application for the stopping process to begin. This defect has occurred approximately 4 times since we purchased the car in september, 2009.

Approaching intersection using brake car accelerated on three separate incidences. 3,000 miles on car. All three incidences in last 500 miles.

I purchased a lexus hs250 in october 2009.since then, i have experienced at least 6 occasions from the end of october 2009 to early february 2010 in which i braked with the intention of coming to a stop.the vehicle began to slow down in the braking process, then the brakes stalled for a few seconds before resuming the braking action.it is unexpected and dangerous because you don't know if your brakes are completely stalling or not. For a couple of seconds, everything just gives way before the brakes seem to begin working again.in that situation, you don't know whether to press down a second time on the brake or to pump the brake pedal or not do anything.when this event happens, you feel as if you have absolutely no control over the operation of the vehicle, similar to driving on a sheet of ice, except none of those safety rules seem to apply here.this has happened about every few weeks.i have noticed that it sometimes happens when i am driving over an uneven surface, bump, or a pothole in the street while braking.while i have not been involved in a crash, it has worried me that this could lead to one.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs250 hybrid. The contact was driving approximately 1 mph when he applied pressure to the brake pedal, the vehicle began to slide. The contact was able to gain control of the vehicle and continue to drive normally. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the technician was unable to duplicate the problem. Nhtsa campaign id number 10v039000 (service brakes, air: antilock: control unit/module) recall repair was performed on the vehicle; however, the vehicle continued to experience the failure. The remedy repair did not correct the failure. The vehicle was taken to the authorized dealer on five occasions for the identical failure. The vehicle remained at the dealership for one week. The technician stated the failure was a manufacturers design. The failure mileage was 869.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v596000 (suspension); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Hello,i have a 2010 lexus hs250h. The car is wonderful, but since it has recently started raining in my area, i have had several experiences when my right tires go over two small metal plates in the road near my house and i apply the brakes and the car seems to go out of control. It appears to seize and slip, and it is very frightening. As a result, i have been driving around the metal plates to avoid them. However, if i don't know the area i cannot always anticipate this type of problem.*twa second problem i have had with the car, is when i drive through a pothole in the road, it also appears to go out of control, surging and stopping. I consider these two situations to be safety issues, and i havenever experienced them with any other cars i have driven in almost 35 years.

On at least three separate occasions, my lexus hs 250h has had a sensation of losing its brakes.each occurrence happened while slowing to a stop on a bumpy road.as the brakes are applied to stop, if the car hits a pothole or bump, it feels as though i am on glare ice with no deceleration at all.the sensation lasts only a moment and then normal braking resumes.it seems to only happen at slow speeds on a bumpy road. In each case it was noticeable enough that my adrenaline kicked in.i have reported this to the dealer and to lexus.no repairs or other actions have been taken yet.

Safety connect system that reaches out for help automatically in the event of an accident will be discontinued by most telephone service providers in late october 2022. As a result lexus will stop supporting safety connect and will not offer an upgrade to 5g service for a fee. I therefore have a 30,000 vehicle that is otherwise perfect that i will have to replace if i want to maintain this safety feature.i think nhtsa should extend the required time vehicle manufacturers should have to maintain safety features even in situations such as this where the phone companies are phasing out a technology. A reasonable fee would be accepted by most customers.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs 250. The contact stated that while driving at 40 mph, when braking without a warning the vehicle accelerated on its own. She stepped on the brakes with extreme pressure and it still did not stop. After a while thebrakesengaged and stopped the vehicle. The vehicle wastaken to the dealer who stated that there was no problem with her vehicle and that they have never heard of this issue. The acceleration has happen 9 times in the nine weeks since she purchased the vehicle. The vehicle was at the dealer at the time of the complaint. The contact stated she will not drive the vehicle until it is repaired. The failure mileage was 3000 and the current mileage was 6500.

On 4 separate occasions- 2 times each for 2 different drivers, occurring about every 1200 miles, our lexus hs250h accelerated during a stopped or braking situation. We brought it to the dealer and contacted lexus customer service. The response: [there is nothing wrong and the vehicle is operating normally. You are either using the accelerator and brake at same time or just experiencing the gas engine starting up which is giving you the sensation of moving when you actually aren't moving.this sensation is normal for both priuses and hs 250 models.]i can usually tell when the gas engine fires up and the sensation is definitely different than the scary problem we are having. When asked what to do if this causes an accident the response was: [contact your insurance company].clearly lexus has no intention of admitting that there's anything wrong.no salesperson informed us that the normal operation of the car includes sudden acceleration or the "sensation" of it.two incidents caused my wife to slam on the brake in bumper to bumper traffic to avoid hitting the car`in front and one incident caused me to hit an object in my garage.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs250 hybrid. While the vehicle was stopped and the contact had her foot on the brake pedal, the vehicle suddenly accelerated. The contact applied the brakes with extreme force to stop the vehicle. The failure occurred four times. Whenever it rained, the vehicle slid when the brakes were applied. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer but the failure could not be duplicated. The contact called the manufacturer who stated that an engineer would inspect the vehicle mid-october 2010. The vehicle had not been repaired. The fialure mileage was approximately 6,300 and the current mileage was 9,316.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs250h. The contact was driving approximately 60 mph on normal road conditions with the acceleration cruise control feature activated. The cruise control system failed to function when it was disengaged. The acceleration continued, followed by an unintended increase in speed. The driver was able to slow the vehicle down. There were four separate occasions that the identical failures occurred without warning.the vehicle has not been repaired for the malfunction at this time. The contact had concern of the potential safety hazard.the failure mileage was 2,000. Updated 2/26/10 the consumer was informed by the dealer, the cruise control was designed that way.updated 05/10/10
