I was slowly turning to the right into a parking slot.all of a sudden, the car shot forward and slammed into a brick building.the airbags deployed deployed because of the force of the crash.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs 250 hybrid. While at a yield sign, another vehicle crashed into the rear of the contact's vehicle. As a result, the contact crashed into the rear of another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained whiplash, concussion to the head, and neck injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to eskridge lexus collision center (12401 n santa fe ave, oklahoma city, ok 73114, phone: 405-755-7772). The dealer failed to diagnose the air bag failure and stated that they reset the air bag indicator on the instrument panel. The vehicle was not repaired for the air bag failure. The manufacturer advised the contact to file a complaint with their legal office and nothing else could be done. The manufacturer did not offer further assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000. Consumer stated nothing was done to correct the failure. Updated 8/30/18

Takata recall: i've had 2 incidents where all four of my car windows were down. Also my moonroof window was open. I assume they went down by themselves. The car was parked.i'd go out to my car. My car was locked. I always lock it and nothing appeared to be stolen or broken. The first incident happened around the time there was a recall on the car for potential hybrid system failure. I didn't know if it had to do something with that but i took it into a lexus dealership to get it fixed for the recall. It didn't happen after that again until december of 2018. So both times i had locked my car, came back to my car eventually, and saw my windows were down. Different heights. Nothing was taken or broken.

Hard brake pedal - brake booster pump may have been manufactured improperly hard to stop. Vehicle not safe to drive. There is a recall for similar toyotas vehicles.

My accident was caused by unintended acceleration.as i was slowly turning right into a parking place, the car suddenly accelerated and crashed into a brick building. The force of the crash caused the air bags to deploy. There was so much damage to the car that it was a total loss. After the crash i obtained the event data recorder (edr) reading from a contractor hired by toyota. It showed that for the last 5 seconds before the crash, i was applying very light pressure to the gas pedal up until the last .8 seconds. For the last .8 seconds the edr shows that my foot was on the break and the throttle was at nearly maximum value. During the last .8 seconds the car went from 5 mph to 9.9 mph and the engine rpm went from 1200 to 2800. I did not apply pressure to the gas pedal at this time. I was applying pressure to the break pedal. This is a case of unintended acceleration caused by faulty electronic throttle control (etc) software. Since the edr gets it data from the etc software and not the gas pedal itself, it is most likely that the software was a fault, as i was not applying the gas during the last second before the accident. It would be impossible for me to apply full pressure to the gas pedal while applying the breaks at the same time on this car. First of all my shoe width is smaller than the space between break and gas pedals. Furthermore the break pedal is above the gas pedal making it nearly impossible for anyone to apply the breaks and floor the gas at the same time. This is a case of failed electronic control software, which has been identified in several lawsuits that toyota has lost recently. In spite of all these lost cases, a lost class-action lawsuit, and numerous documented accidents with nhtsa, toyota has done nothing to fix the problem, which is faulty electronic throttle control software.

I was parallel parking the car.i pulled alongside the curb behind a volvo and stopped the car.with the car stopped and my foot on the brake i moved my right hand to press the park button and to my surprise the car leaped (5 feet) forward into the volvo causing damage to my car (hood, grill, bumper and right quarter panel) and the volvo (rear end).the gas engine was not running when i was parking only the electric engine was running.we were fortunate that my wife, son and i were not injured. They will not get back in this car again. I bought the car new and have been driving it for a little over 2 years.

On 9/29/2017 while turning left at night in a dark road all interior and exterior lights went out. We crashed into wall beside the city street and our car was totaled. We filed a claim with lexus at that time. A recall notice for this problem came in december. On december 22,2017, lexus stated in letter from their legal department that lexus had no responsibility. They were able to start the car and turn on the lights on november 14, 2017 when an inspection of the vehicle was made. The urgent safety recall described what we experienced. No adequate explanation for the failure of our electrical systems

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs 250 hybrid. The contact stated the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that the battery was replaced twice. The vehicle was taken to local dealer lexus of roseville located at 300 automall dr, roseville, ca 95661, (916) 472-7400, where it was diagnosed with needing to have the battery replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 100,000. *dt*dt

2010 lexus hs 250h start malfunction, all lights flickering then nothing. Attempted jumping the 12v battery off but that did not work, attempted replacing key fob battery and that did not work. Now there is no lights or electricity the only lights that flicker are the p light which strobes slightly and when the brake is played with (depressed and let out several times) i can get the light "key not detected" and the "triangle with the !" to come on.then when i hold fob to the power button it will say, "depress brake and push power button to start car" however that does not work.car was stationary in park in garage and had been driven not even 45 minutes prior.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs 250 hybrid. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a loss of engine power and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to lexus of melbourne (6927 bromley dr., melbourne, fl 32940) where it was diagnosed that the hybrid transaxle assembly failed. The vehicle was serviced per nhtsa campaign number: 17v619000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 81,000. The vin was not available.

Rear window break light(light in the middle of rear vehicle window) stops lighting starting 2015.when the vehicle is in the breaking motion, the rear window break light is dead and does not turn red.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs 250 hybrid. While driving various speeds, the malfunction warning indicator illuminated. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v619000 (electrical system). The part needed for the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact called south bay lexus (24777 crenshaw blvd, torrance, ca 90505, phone: (310) 325-9999) and was informed that the repair would be completed in february of 2018. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 131,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs250 hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, without warning, the vehicle hesitated while accelerating. The contact had taken the vehicle to don moore toyota (4216 frederica st, owensboro, ky 42301) and kenny kent lexus (5600 division st, evansville, in 47715) where the mechanics were unable to duplicate the failure. The contact also stated that the check hybrid system warning message recently appeared on the instrument panel while the vehicle was parked. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to a lexus dealer for assistance. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to nhtsa campaign number: 17v619000 (electrical system) however, the vin was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 220,000.

I'm just over 100k miles and my lexus had a "check hybrid system" light as i was driving on the freeway and completely lost power in my vehicle on the freeway going about 65 mph. All warning lights came on and i was unable to accelerate or put the car in drive. I had to pull over and put on my hazards on a very busy freeway. I took my car to my local lexus service center and they informed me that i have an "internal transaxle short" and the entire transaxle needs to be replaced for the cost of around $7,000.lexus informed me they actually didn't identify the issue or cause and simply called it a "glitch". Could be connected to the wiring or electrical system, but their answer was to just completely change out the system instead of actually fix the problem and at great cost to me. This could also be related to the ongoing hybrid battery issues that happen around 100k miles, but they said they wouldn't know until this fix was made.

I had parked the car in a grocery store parking spot between two cars and had my foot on the brake. I was about to shut off the ignition when the car suddenly moved forward. Intuitively, i pressed harder on the brake, but the car speeded up, jumped over two parking barriers, travelled about 50 feet at high speed, hit the back of another car, a honda odyssey van with sufficient force that the honda itself jumped over a parking barrier and a curve and hit a pillar in a building's veranda. My car then stopped and then i turned off the ignition. My car thus experinced unintended acceleration and, in spite of jumping over parking barriers and hitting another car with substantial force, the air bags were not deployed. I have bruises from the seat belt tightening over my body and the owner of the honda odyssey, who was about to get in his car and was thrown back to the ground, has a fracture in the tail bone area of his back.

Rear window break light(light in the middle of rear vehicle window) stops lighting starting 2015.when the vehicle is in the breaking motion, the rear window break light is dead and does not turn red.

I purchased a 2010 hs 250h lexus in aug 8, 2016. I recently found out that it has been recalled 7 times with serious under the hood issues and was told the only one outstanding the one i stumbled upon due to research. This car has ruined my life.it has needed all sort of repairs since i purchased it. Most of the time it has had to just sit in the yard due to the fact that i was and still is, afraid to drive it.. It started just a few days after my dealer warranty had run out. It cuts off in the middle of the road, losing the ability to accelerate, etc. One day during work traffic it cut off on me and traffic stayed backed up for miles before i could call and pay for a tow truck. In fact, nowadays, that's been the only way i can get it to and from the repair shop. Not to mention the fact that i socked much of my savings into this car because i had just recently received my teaching certification and expected to be working full time and would have no problems. I've received numerous offers to apply for numerous teaching positions but have not been able to apply due to the lack of transportation. I have a loan and insurance that had to be maintained. I also have a mortgage that i expected to be able to pay for due to my newly acquired certification and obtaining a dependable form of transportation became a neccesity. At this point i have had to move in with relatives because i can no longer afford the house and due to continuous car repair cost, may even be losing the non operating 2010 lexus hs250h, that i have basically never been able utilize for a better life for myself.the lexus dealer who now has the car has given me a loaner. I think that driving the car for eight years with this last two recalls, has destroyed it.lies have been told because a recall dated 8/11/2016, 3 days after my purchase contract, and inever received any notice of this recall non work done.

When i run over a bump in the road or hit anything in the street, my car goes into a fit almost hitting the other cars. Its like after that, he moves really fast forcing it to go faster and my foot is not even on the breaks...

Traveling between 60-70 mph i jerked the steering wheel to the right to avoid someone entering my lane at a freeway merge.the car started swerving to an extreme degree.i heard the beep of something engaging that i assume was the vsc, but my head was being jerked too hard from side to side to be able to confirm what might have been displayed on the dashboard.i slowly tried to brake when the vehicle continued to swerve without abatement and the vsc eventually turned off.had it not been for alert drivers behind me slowing down when this occurred, i'm certain this would have caused an accident.

The contact's wife owns a 2010 lexus hs 250 hybrid. While the contact's wife was driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle stalled. The malfunction indicator lamp, slip indicator lamp, brake warning indicator, and master indicator light illuminated. The vehicle was currently being repaired at lexus of route 10 (130 nj-10, whippany, nj 07981, (973) 319-7900) where it was diagnosed that the power inverter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered to pay half of the fee. The approximate failure mileage was 123,000. The vin was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus h250sh (na). While driving unknown speeds, the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer (jm lexus, 5353 w sample rd, margate, fl 33071, 954-972-2000) where it was diagnosed that the battery inverter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to jm lexusagain where it was diagnosed that the hybrid battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired because the contact declined to pay the diagnostic fees. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 117,000.

Condensation suddenly building up within headlamp assembly. Possible cause by faulty gaskets around headlamp. Condensation can build up and cause electrical failure with vehicle. Spoke with lexus they admit they have had a problem with rx350 but will not acknowledge an issue with hs250h.

I cannot hear the turn signal of my lexus.i have reasonable hearing and can hear the turn signal of all other cars that i can drive.lexus engineers have designed the tone of the turn signal such that people like me cannot hear it.as a result, i leave the turn signal on longer than necessary.other drivers then will disregard my turn signal.this could lead to an accident.my wife can hear to turn signal so it is probably working as designed.

Since the car was recalled for a fuel system issue, i have been experience issues with my fuel gauges and gas tank. I fill my tank but it triggers the gas pump that it is full when i know it is not full. The gauge will read that i am down 3/4 of a tank but when i go to fill the gas tank, it only allows me to put in about 5 gallons, knowing that i should be filling it with 8-9 gallons to fill my tank. Another issue i now have, is the gauges takes 20 minutes to register that i have filled my tank. I know longer trust my fuel gauge or any readings given on the dashboard.

Recall no. 17v-619 and 16v-596.this is an urgent recall but the dealer not able to get the replacement parts to fix my car until the next 30 days. And didn't offer me a loaner car due to this will be a safety issue if i still drive this car.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs 250 hybrid. While driving various speeds, the abs and check engine warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and it was diagnosed that the actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 10v039000 (service brakes, air). The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.

Hard brake pedal - brake booster pump may have been manufactured improperly hard to stop. Vehicle not safe to drive. There is a recall for similar toyotas vehicles.

Tl-the contact owns a 2010 lexus hs250. The contact stated that while driving down hill with the brake pedal depressed and bump was hit that caused the brake system to release and the vehicle to surge forward the failure was experienced several times and the dealer had previously replaced the brake software system due to the brake failure however the failure was not corrected. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 1,200 and the current 141,000. Li

While the brakes are applied and the vehicle goes over a bump or a pothole or a slippery surface, the following happens: - vehicle slips, - brakes lose control (i.e. No longer being applied) for a few seconds, - the vehicle accelerates for a few seconds.the above condition happens at approximately 35 mph or higher sped.

As my wife was driving car, she received (4) - lights on dashboard about break and abs system.she was driving on 610s in houston, texas.then all of sudden she was feeling break was not working as should and receiving noise like turbine running.it was vacuum from break.we took car to clear lake lexus dealership for repair.they run computer and found code c1391/89 accumulator leak malfunction.accumulator pressure sensor input does not increase before breaking or while the pump motor is operating.accumulator pressure sensor input reduction rate exceeds the specification before braking and while the pump motor is not operating.the dealership quoted for repair $3400 approx.i believe this should be a recall and/or warranty since defective part.the car has only 82k mileage and in very good condition.

This is an identical complaint to another i saw here. While the brakes are applied and the vehicle goes over a bump or a pothole or a slippery surface, the following happens: , - brakes lose all oftheir grip for approximately one second(i.e. No longer being applied) . While the vehicle does not accelerate for this brief moment, it does cease to brake, which has been very dangerous, especially if another vehicle is ahead. It is very predictable at this point, but still a safety hazard. This is not something that occurs sometimes, it occurs every time (especially if the car is on a downhill incline). This happens at lower speeds, less than 30 or 35 mph. The date of occurance reflected below is not accurrate, as this happens since i have had the car (2011) dealer claims they are not aware of the issue.

Took my car to the mechanic and was told that there is a recall on abs (reflash software) and break booster pump replacement. I have lost the hydraulic pressure on the breaks and is a safety issue. Dealer has same issue with other vehicles except of mine. How do i get my vin number checked and added to the recall?please assist.thank you.

Pulling in to a parking spot, i applied the brakes and the brakes failed causing the car to drive through a fence, small bush and an outdoor staircase.my speed was under 10 miles an hour.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus 250hs. The contact stated that when applying the brakes on an uneven or bumpy road surface, the brakes would malfunction and the vehicle would skid to a stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but they were unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also stated that the exterior of the windshield would become excessively foggy. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the air blowers were readjusted but the failure persisted. The failure mileage was 23,000.updated 01/09/15*lj updated 2/24/15updated 03/02/15 updated 6/3/2015

Brakes: the car is presenting issues when braking, in order to brake it has to be pressed too hard, and it does not brake immediately is more like gradually, which makes slower the brake process, and very dangerous. It also makes a very annoying squeaky sound. Suspension: the car has been aligned 3 times in less than a week since i bought it 10 days ago. However, it still pulls to the right when driving. It's very uncomfortable to be driving pulling to the left in order to keep the wheels straight. Toyota service said that the tires are in excellent condition, and everything in general as well.they attributed the issue with a recall in the rear arms. I investigated both issues with the brakes and the rear arms and in fact are due to recalls. How can i have lexus take care of this?

2010 lexus 250hs brake actuator. Driving along a city street going 55 mph. Slowing down to approach a stop light. Immediately after depressing brake pedal the red brake light and abs light comes on. My pedal goes straight to the floor and i have no brakes and almost crashed my car into the rear end of another car. I had to hit the ca shifter into b mode and fly into the grass to stop. There was a canal right there i almost went into. This was a recall in 2010 and vin specific. I have read a million forums that this is a chronic issue with this car. My cer has 81,000 miles only. Lexus corporate said they will not cover the 2,400 part/labor. I think this is extremely dangerous safety issue that this part can go out while driving. I drive over a high bridge to get to work. What wound they have done when getting a law suit when i'm belly up in the ocean if by brakes went out on the bridge. This car had a "abs update" in 2010 because this model was having issues then. They clearly don't care about our lives. I will never feel safe driving this car again. If this happens and i die because i have total loss of brakes for a second time who's the dumb one? me for keeping the car or lexus for not taking care of this chronic issue?!

Adding documents provided by the mechanic, and picture on the error. Looks like the same issue but dealer will not recognize this recall for the vin number. Please assist

The brakes of the car completely stopped working while the car was being driven.we had just picked up the car on the previous friday from the dealership for a recall (which was the 2nd time in for the same issue).my wife as able to finally stop the car by stepping onto the emergency boot brake.a little while earlier she was driving on i-5 driving 60mph which could have been deadly.after research there has been multiple recalls for toyota/lexus for brake related issues.

I was slowly turning to the right into a parking slot.all of a sudden, the car shot forward and slammed into a brick building.the airbags deployed deployed because of the force of the crash.

The contact owns a 2010 lexus hs 250 hybrid. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v596000 (suspension); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The 2010 hs250h rear lower suspension arm recall flaw the safety recall work caused non-recoverable damages to the rear tires of my 2010 hs250h. Toronto lexus told me that the damages to the tires wererear due to misalignment by westside lexus. Lexus usa only reimbursed me a small portion of the total cost (redo of recall work + 4 new tires). Neither lexus usa nor westside lexus would pay for the damages on the tires.the story:i purchase the lexus 2010 h250h from westside lexus houston in 2010. On april 10, 2015, westside lexus did a recall work on the rear suspension arms (rear tie rods). At the same time, i had westdise lexus installed 4 new dunlop 225/45zr18 tires.feb. 2017 i moved back to canada. On the long weekend of aug. 2017, i was driving on highway near toronto. One of rear tire suddenly burst out. I sent the car to a lexus service center in toronto for repair. The technician told me that the tire was not repairable. There was uneven wear-out on the inner edges of both rear tires. Toronto lexus told me that the uneven wear of tires was due to misalignment of tires by westside lexus. And it was also related to the rear suspension arms recall work. Since epoxy was applied to the rear tie rods, those rods were no longer adjustable. Toronto lexus had to redo the recall work and replace all 4 tires. Toronto lexus charged me total $1762.82. The technician also had given me a report of the misalignment by westside lexus.

I would like to file a complaint of recall services performed by longo lexus dealer in el monte, california. The service representative of longo told me that the recall services cannot be done on the same day due to?parts limited?need more than two hours to perform?need days to get the parts after car in?advise me to get a loaner car and left the car on saturday and pick up on tuesday or soi cannot understand because (1) my online services already gave sufficient time; (2) if parts are limited; why cannot order prior than that, (3) if longo confirmed by online reservation; why this services cannot be done sameday; (4)why i ended up wasted my time drove from chino hills to el monte (5) if this is the case, online service should include an advise of services timing and we need to choose other option or reschedule (6) my appointment @11:30 am to dealer?s closing time is much more than 2 hours and shall be more than sufficient to perform such services (7) why not inform customer upon our service reservation (8) i felt this is dealer?s business orientation, no recall services on a busy weekend (9) busy weekend time should be used for more profit oriented customer maintenance and repair services instead of low or no profitable recall obligation, so this services can only be done at weekdays (10) owner need to come back at weekdays or leave car for dealer to perform regularly (11) lexus should grade dealers? services score from recall performance as well (12) i felt i was discouraged not to do the recall services (13) dealer just created lots of inconveniences to customer and asked customer to do such services in weekdays working hours (14) owner has to scarify owner?s job time for such recall services (15) using a loaner car is also a risk to owner; especially for days.

I received a recall notice from lexus last year (nhtsa recall no 16v-596) re rear lower suspension arm (no.1) assemblies.as of today, well over six months later, lexus has been unable to offer me this free service to correct the defect.i have tried to arrange it multiple times over the past 6+ months and they claim they are out of the part(s).

Recall no. 17v-619 and 16v-596.this is an urgent recall but the dealer not able to get the replacement parts to fix my car until the next 30 days. And didn't offer me a loaner car due to this will be a safety issue if i still drive this car.

This car has had 7 recalls. When you review the carfax or nhtsa website, it only show open recalls.the rear suspension problem was originally recalled 08/02/12 recall number 12v37-3000, dealers were instructed to inspect for loose tie-rod nuts and replace as needed.then 08/28/13 recall notice 13v383-000 was issued and the rear tie rods will be encased in epoxy to prevent future environmental damage.since this didn't work, it was replaced with recall 16v596-000 on 08/12/16.this recall superseded 13v-383, the affected vehicles that were previously recalled but did not have both suspension arms replaced. Those vehicles were supposed to have them replaced and encapsulate the locknuts.here is the problem... Within 7 months of normal driving, no potholes, no speed bumps, the car is so far out of alignment it ruined 2 rear tires. Plus, the car can't be aligned without replacing the tie rods to the cost of $735!lexus refuses to pay for this since it is out of warranty. This is a recall that did not fix the problem.

Nhtsa recall no. 16v-596, issued approximately one month ago. There is a nationwide shortage of the parts needed to correct the recall, and dealers cannot tell me when the parts will be available.this was confirmed by talking with two dealers near me and the lexus customer care center. The recall cannot be completed in a timely manner - the recall appears to require immediate attention and replacement of both rear suspension arms.both dealers claimed this was an "interim" notice, but the recall states "remedy notice" and recommends an appointment asap.

The passenger and drivers side mirrors both failed within a year of each other. Both mirrors began to move excessively while driving, rendering them useless. Both mirrors are capable of being manually folded, the mechanism that holds them firm while car is in motion broke.

Transaxial failed per lexus while i was on the highway and the car turned off in the middle of the road suddenly

Hard brake pedal - brake booster pump may have been manufactured improperly hard to stop. Vehicle not safe to drive. There is a recall for similar toyotas vehicles.

I was turning to the right into a parking slot. All of the sudden, the car shot forward and slammed into a brick building. The airbags deployed because of the force of the crash.please note this is an edited version of an earlier report i sent. The change is in the affected parts. The part that caused the accident was a faulty accelerator (probably the throttle control software).

Petition for a defect investigation under 49 u.s.c. 30162 by interested person for standards and enforcement (2 cd' s enclosed).according to the consumer's wife, the accident was caused by sudden acceleration. As she was slowly turning right into a parking spot, the vehicle suddenly accelerated and crashed into a brick building. The force of the crash caused the air bags to deploy. There was so much damage to the vehicle, it was declared a total loss. According to the edr recording, the last five seconds before the crash, it showed she was applying light pressure to the gas pedal up until the last .8 seconds. For the last .8 seconds the edr showed her foot was on the brake and the throttle was a t nearly maximum value.during the last .8 seconds the vehicle went from 5 mph to 9.9 mph and the engine rpm went from 1200 to 2800.

The driver side mirror snapped and collapsed into the car while it was in motion at approximately 35mph, leaving no visibility in blind spot on drivers side. Had to pull over into a retail center and have the mirror taped in a fixed position in order to drive home safely. Dealer acknowledge this safety issue as a known defect of this make and model car, yet has not filed as a recall item and is taking no action to notify owners of this problem. Dealer refused to pay for repairs for this known safety hazard/defect.
