My check pcs and vbs lights came on and went off. I continue to drive and my breaks worked fine for a week. Driving home on a side street crossing a bridge and a piercing beep came on and would not go off. I think that was an indicator ro pull off the road. Itook my foot off the accelerator and slowly guided to side ofbridge and called my husband. I had a diagnostics and was told that is abs accelerator and that and the part is $2500 without labor. This is a safety hazard that my brakes gave out and should be on the recall list. My car is 2006 gs430 with 106,000 miles.

Re:lexus gs430dear sir/madam:i bought the above referenced automobile in july 2008 from pohanka lexus, chantilly, virginia.last saturday, i brought it to the dealer for the second time to fix the squealing brakes.i was told that lexus is working on the problem but no solution is available for me at this time.on sept 27, i was told that they could not duplicate the problem.i thought that this concern was unique to my car, but this clearly is not the case according to club lexus.see attached.can you please tell me how you propose to make this awful noise go away?my patience is wearing thin.i would like to pursue this with another dealer at this point since pohanka have no credibility remaining.thank you.

Door hinge on vehicle looks to have manufacture problem but i do not see a recallfor this issue it is break through the metal and creating a hole and may need to be welded of some sort or a new door. I purchased this vehicle from lexus in ft myers florida around two years ago and the door has always hard a ruff close to it. Recently ive noticed it getting harder and harder to close. And when i looked to see where the issue was it seems to be the hinge. I brought this up to the dealer the first week i bought the vehicle and they said it may just need to be opened and closed a few times since its been on the lot for a bit. But that is not the case.i would really appreciate some type of resolution as ive never had any complaints but feel this could not have been wear and tear and seems to be a manufacture issue. And its only on one hingeof the two on the door. So no way this could have been something created or done by myself or any previous owners. The door is starting to hang and bottom is pushed out a bit so its unalined.i love my vehicle and hope that i could get some assistance.
Premature tire wear on 2006 lexus gs430.inside shoulder of each tire prematurely wears in a "scalloping" fashion.dealership is aware of the issue, says it is due to the sport suspension and it happens on all their "sporty" models.dealership concedes that proper rotation, balance and alignment maintenance does not correct the issue.i was told by the dealership that 20,000 miles on any tire is what should be the expected tire life.therefore there seems to be no correction for the failure offered, at anyone's expense.primary safety risk is due to the location of the premature wear, which is not easily visible (inside shoulder of each tire).there are numerous bulletin boards online, including on the lexusowners website, which confirm that this is a widespread issue with the engineering of the suspension on many lexus models.
I have a 2006 lexus gs 430 with 17500 miles.when rotating tires at 8000 miles i noticed unusual wear on the inside edge of the front tires.i had the dealership check the alignment.at 17000 miles the wear on the inside edge continued and was a serious safety risk.the wear is difficult to see as it is on the inside edge of the tire and only noticeable with the tire removed on wheel turned full left or right.the wear resembles a groove or channel wearing on the inside edge of the contact patch on the tire.discount tire inspected the tires and concluded camber wear.this was reported to yokohama who replaced all four tires.lexus refused to acknowledge any problem and stand firm with a position of normal wear.this is a serious risk as the wear in not easily seen and poses a risk of tire failure at high speed.i feel there might be a design flaw in the suspension, steering, or alignment.
Front right wheel makes loud banging sound. Started when the car had about 70,000 miles on it. Then came a horrible squeaking sound. This occurs constantly when driving and especially when turning the wheel. I replaced the lower control arm bushing in june. They were completely gone and made the wheels have a lot of play . The noise went away for about 3 months and is now back louder than ever.
