The contact owns a 2007 lexus gs. While reversing at approximately 3 mph, the contact struck a pole. There were no injuries. The vehicle stalled and would not start and the check hybrid indicator illuminated. The vehicle restarted after 40 minutes, but the warning indicator was still illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence and the warning indicator was no longer illuminated. The dealer diagnosed that the hybrid battery was faulty and needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 102,000.
The contact owns a 2007 lexus gs350. During rainy weather or while the vehicle was at a car wash, water would leak into the headlight casing. The issue caused the fuses to fail. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the headlights were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vin was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.
Heard pop from engine lost power. Was able to drive off highway at 10 miles per hour or less with engine banging. Made it to my mechanic who said that the engine rocker arm in cylinder 3 broke.lexus was no help, as my 5 year engine warrant expired.
Because of the design, the rings stick causing oil consumption and engine wear.it smokes when driven.this affects these vehicles approximately years 06 - 11. They revamped the engine after 11 to fix the problem.they should repair our engines
Oil consumption, i have to add 2 quarts every 1300 miles
Low oil light came on 1000 miles after oil change at lexus dealership. Car was low 2.5 quarts of oil. Blue grey smoke was coming out of the car during acceleration and car smelled like poison inside very unsafe. Car has been dealer maintained for everything. Car was certified pre owned as well. At 100,000 miles oil consumption test was done and was in fact proved to be burning oil. Car is burning way too much oil. I've had 4 other vehicles none have burned oil. This is unacceptable and i might have to buy a new engine soon. Please help me out. Thank you.
Passenger side headlight intermittently stops working while in motion and/or stopped. Trusted repair shop said headlight ballast is bad and that the driver's side ballast is starting to make noise as if it is going bad as well. They have repaired many lexus cars with this problem. This is a known issue on this year, make and model of the car. In some cases, drivers have had both headlights shut off at once. Lexus requires a complete headlight assembly to replace the bad ballast, a cost of over $2500 for both sides. Given that this is a known problem and potentially dangerous should both headlights shut off at the same time while driving at night, i was surprised to find that there has never been a recall for this problem.
Left low beam headlight intermittently turn off. Need to turn off headlight for brief period causing a safety hazard in order for both headlights to turn back on. Seems to be known problem with this particular year/model.
Both headlights went out while driving in the rain at night.i am told this is a very common problem, water gets into the sealed head lamp and shorts out the balist. I was almost hit as another car pulled out in front of me before i realized both head lights had shorted out.they turn back on once reset but go out with out warning.

The lexus dealer once again (the first instance was in december 2013 at 45,533 miles and required replacement of pads and rotors.) reported during routine maintenance that the rear brake caliper pins were seized and had to be cleaned and lubricated (neither action is a lexus scheduled preventive maintenance activity.).as in the first instance, it is fortunate that no accident resulted from these seized calipers.
The brakes always make alot of noise and just hate the car.
No power steering
As i was driving, all the sudden i had a difficult time to make turns.i noticed that the p/s light is on.i have done some researches on the internet and i found out that several toyota & lexus vehicles have been recalled for power steering and emc failure problem. So when i contacted the dealer, they told me all the recall on my vehicle has been done and there is no emc failure recall at this moment.but there was a emc recall on the previous year model.i assume that they might be using the same parts on my car and that should be recalled as well.

Rear view mirror is being discolored with black spots
Auto dimming glass has started to deteriate causing black streaks and impairing visibility. This is don't a surface level scratch, this is underneath the glass and a faulty product.
Rear view mirror is being discolored with black spots
Inner rear view mirror discoloration including black streaks and spots make it impossible to safely observe behind vehicle. Lexus has an internal "secret" safety tsib l-sb-0043-16 but refuses to acknowledge it or perform a repair, claiming it is not the subject of a official recall. This is a known issue for many lexus owners and is widespread across numerous lexus models over the years of 2006 through 2009 and includes gs300, gs350, gs430, gs450h and gs460.i called the "lexus guest experience center" at their 800 number and they were evasive and combative with absolutely one goal in mind: no safety issue will be covered without being forced into coverage through a recall even though the service bulletin clearly covers the vin of my 2007 gs350 and clearly identifies the defective mirror. Searches across the internet show many complaints by owners of lexus refusing to fix this defective mirror.https://repairpal.com/the-inside-rear-view-mirror-may-become-discolored-857https://repairpal.com/the-inside-rear-view-mirror-may-become-discolored-318https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-3rd-gen-2006-2011/735645-black-scratches-on-rear-view-mirror.htmlhttps://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-2nd-gen-2006-2013/652097-about-black-spots-on-rearview-mirror-2.htmlhttps://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-3rd-gen-2006-2011/556707-rearview-mirror-question.html
