Car has been serviced in two lexus delaerships in the last 2 months....car started blinking the stability control lights and steering started intermittnetly working and the brakes were at 50%. I was able to the stop the car and shut it down when i restarted the no warning lights were on.the steering feel was back to normal and so were the brakes. I accelerated up to about 5 miles per hour...and the lights went off with alarms and the steering and brakes completely malfunctioned and would not work and i hit a parked car because of no ability to control the car.no warning signs before that.this was on a small city side street in front of a school

"abs actuator" car was makes a continuous buzzing noise and then a click when in park, or when turned off after driving. Reported to dealer, who could not find anything wrong when reported in 2016/2017. 2018, was told that i need a abs actuator after all lights on my dash appeared on the screen. The lights include, abs, check abs, slippery road, and a couple of hazard lights. When driving the vehicle at sporadic times leading up to the lights appearing on screen, when i press down on the breaks, it takes a longer than normal response to break, unless i press all the way to the floor it finally responds. This happened while i was not aware of a problem with the abs actuator system that is a part of the breaking system with lexus / toyota cars. I spoke to dealer hendrix lexus north of kansas city who found that the issue was the abs actuator and that it would cost approximately $3,000.00. The noise i had heard on the car continues and the car is basically a hazard to drive. Looking at many other lexus forums, this is a known issue. I looked for recalls and found nothing on it. I called my dealership that services the vehicle and asked if there was a recall on this item. I was told no. They informed me that lexus does have a warranty of this, however i am out of warranty. This is a high safety part, so i called lexus. I spoke to case manager miles @ 800-255-3987. Miles insists thati am out of warranty for the " warranty enhancement" that ended in 2017 of december, and 10 years after operation of vehicle. I have no record of receiving a letter in the mail. The previous rep says that the letter can be overlooked because it looks more like junk mail. This is a problem and this problem is on the streets and this should have been a recall, not a warranty enhancement. Please look into this. The warranty enhancement i found is attached. Why is this not a safety recall?

This is part of complaint 11140678 filed with nhsta. I meant to attach the warranty enhancement for the abs actuator. This is a known issue with toyota/lexus and i feel that it is more than a warranty concern. This is a malfunction of a part that is safety concern to the highways and beyond. I also am concern if this was an issue looked at when toyota had the "unintended acceleration" issue where drivers were not able to stop. These cars go far beyond the regular 150,000 mile cutoff for the enhanced warranty mileage given of the vehicles listed in the warranty. In this particular warranty, my car is not listed at first but if you scroll down the attached warranty it appears. More than 736,000 vehicles according to this document are covered by this warranty, however i am pretty sure that many were not fixed and this is a concern to people driving. The "unintended acceleration" was a major problem, but what if the abs system completely fails and not able to react in time to stop when one is driving to take their kids to school, through school zones, or even through business districts on their commute to work, who may not know of this issue. This warranty i found online at a forum and never to my knowledge received this at all in the mail as lexus stated that each customer would have received this as a matter of fact to their homes according to the dmv records they had on file. I was never verified that it was sent to my correct address of record according to my previous rep and miles, my case manager at lexus.

The contact owns a 2007 lexus gs 450h. When the vehicle was started, the engine made an abnormal noise. The vehicle was taken to magnussen lexus of fremont (located at 5600 cushing pkwy, fremont, ca 94538, (510) 657-6600) where it was diagnosed that the variable valve timing needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 160,000.

My 2007 lexus gs450h is not having all cylinders firing and has engine power loss. I called our local lexus dealer and they said there's no recall of this kind of problem. I searchedonline and there's a certain recall describing exactly what my car is doing. The recall number is 10v309000- toyota recalls 2006-2008 lexus models due to possible engine problems due to micro-foreign objects in the valve spring that can cause it to break. This could cause the engine to fail suddenly, while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash.

With no warning, while driving the engine suddenly stops . After car comes to complete stop shifter in park turn ignition off and back on engine starts fine ,but i have had to do that so many times i think the starter is taking a server beating . Sometimes this happens 2-10 times a day, this could be extremly dangerous like on the freeway ,in rush hour ,with it raining traveling 65 -70mph with no emergency lane .

The front brake have been making a squiky nose when you pressed to stop the car. I called lexus for a potential recall regarding this problem. Lexus tall me it was not on recall for this issue. For months we kept trying to find a solution for this problem we couldn't until a week ago the dealer have finally admited that the actuator assembly/ abs brake module have failed and that should have never happened to this component of the vehicles and ask to me to call lexus for a remedy.
