On december 21,2015 there was a car that ran a red light and hit my car damaging the entire front end of my car. The airbag on my driver side deployed but not on my passenger side. My car was in motion going about 30mph on a city street and the guy that hit me was making a left turn.
Engine consumes excessive amounts of oil. Car is burning 1 qt of oil per1,000 miles. Emissions standard do not allow for engine to burn this amount of oil , polluting the air. This amount of oil burning can cause a engine to lock -up with out warning.

Takata recall. When driving the 2008 lexus gs 350 4dr sedan stalls when the car is in motion, it is uncontrolable. For example when i'm at a red light and my foot is on the brake pedal and i press my foot gradually on the gas pedal when the light turns green. Then car will stall for about 1 to 2 mintues, then will increase in speed. It's dangerous because, when i need to turn and the car stalls in the middle of a turn it would cause an accident to occur. Or when the car is in motion going straight on a highway or an intersection it could stall, and cause an accident to occur. It doesnt happen everytime when the car is in motion, so far i've been noticing and taking note it has been occuring 4x or more times a week. Because of the inconsitency of the car stalling when in motion it makes it especially dangerous for the other drivers on the road and pedestrains. Regardless any stall of a car while its in motion on a highway or street either turning or going straight is not safe.
Hey i did recall for my car after one months later engine was stall in motion. Person who make investigation from headquarters lexus they can't tell me what is the problem whit car and after recall he telling me my car vin number showed its engine no recalls. My wife she drove this car whit my kids . Thank nothing happen. In my opinion delear lexus tri county from new jersey they not fixed my engine like they should and after one months engine broke- i make recall for this. This car have safety issue. They keep my car 3 weeks and they can't tell me what is the problem whit engine. I blame them for make problems and this car got 86000 miles. Thanks
My vehicle is having an issue with oil consumption, after running it for 2000 miles after every engine oil (synthetic) and filter replacement, my vehicle engine oil level shows to be super low. No signs of leakage anywhere.
Brief engine knock/rattle noise at cold startupper tsb its a minor problem. That is not the case. This is a camshaft gear assembly defect , safety related and lexus is not fixing this problem when they know its there.
From the time the 2008 lexus gs, labor day 2008, was obtained i had problems seeing at night on a dark road, highway or interstate.unless the brights are on there is a black wall in front of the area where the light beams stop.i overdrive the lighted area and drive into the black night.the brights need to be on to see-which is a danger and annoyance to oncoming traffic. I have tried to get this fixed since october 2008. The latest date being january 2011.lexus tells me that the headlights are adjusted as high as they can go.i asked for them to change the bulbs from halogen to incandescent or to replace the entire unit.lexus says they can't do that.this is a very, very dangerous situation with this car.
Condensation in the front drivers headlight made may light go out when traveling on highway.completely unable to see, because of "leveling" lights.i was able to avoid an accident by using my bright lights.i took to the dealer service and was told this is a common problem and that the lexus rx is already being recalled, but not my vehicle.. This is a costly repair over 1000.
Lexus gs350 in general is pretty a good car but i always having problem with lexus dealer( westside lexus in houston tx). Whenever i bring my concerns or show them the problems, they will pretend or refuse to fix until they see the problem by themselves. First was my backup camera flickering and now my passenger low beam is acting up and it's a intermittent problem. Some time it goes dim and completely turns off by itself and i will need to turn off and on the switch for it to work. I even got a chance to take pictures and record video clip to show them but they denied and kept saying that they need it to happens in there dealer before they can fix it. This is ridiculous and very dangerous while driving at night time.
Mis firing vsc light is onwith check engine light, i brought it to la blanc they change spark plugs the light went off and cameback on the next day, i broughtthe back out to them they kept the car over night, mr. John said they can't find anything wrong with the car. I looked up the lexus gs 350 2008 theres 3 recalls on this car , piping,fitting,hoses, line fuel system ,engine cooling
2008 es 350 surge --as i was gliding (no acceleration) into my parking space in front of my town home, my car suddenly surged forward, jumped the curb and crashed into my brick town home.i applied my to the brakes, and the car continued to surge forward.i called my lexus dealer who said "this is impossible and could never happen and you just accidentally hit the gas pedal" .i did not hit the gas pedal.i had pictures taken of the crash, wrote a letter to lexus of north amercia stating and requesting a different es 350 (it is a leased car).i received a grammatically incorrect letter back from lexus that was there no reason for the problem and that is essentially was my fault.i have a copy of the letter..the lexus gm of sales in alexandria denied that a surge could have happened and clearly is was my fault.
I have had my lexus for since 7/2009 in nov 2010 and feb 2011 i have had to pay for several wheel alignments (frt and back) by the dealership in cerritos, ca. . i have had my tire replaced approximately 3 times and rotated them regularly.oakhama tire that came with the vehicle are very expensive and have now decided to go with bridestone tire to lower my expenses.i do drive alot but do not drive freeway on a daily basis to and from work,but do drive freeway in many occasions. . the suspension continues to pull to the rt and tires continue to wear in the inside, both times to the wire. And now again after driving to laughlin on 7/3/12--7//7/12 inoticed when i returned the far inside of mytires were worn to the metal treads again.i am replacing all for tires on 7/12/12 and need another alignments in the frt and the back. It just is not seem right that brakes and suspensions are continues maintenance issue on a yearly basics. I am a middle aged grandma and have my grandkids in my car all the time and maintain my vehicle per manufacture requirements. Brakes have been replaced 4 times frt and back..

Contact is owner of 2008 gs 350 lexus. While attempting to turn the vehicle into a parking space @ approximately 15 mph -- the vehicle accelerated suddenly on it's on without warning.vehicle hit an embankment & vehicle bounced back/forth on the embankment, causing substantial neck pain for both the driver and passengers. Pressing the brake pedal did not stop the vehicle & the airbags did not deploy.the front of the vehicle was damaged but was able to drive home slowly. Lexus dealer was told of incident & recommended taking vehicle to a local toyota dealer who could find nothing wrong with vehicle.time to trade vehicles with a competitor.
My rear view mirror looks scratched (the mirror coating inside the housing)and dis colored rear view mirror ; obvious defective mirrormy rear view mirror is complete deteriorated to a point that it can no longer see any object in the mirror. It has become a safety issue
My 2008 lexus gs350 is one of, apparently, many lexus models that have no camber adjustment capability front or rear rendering wheels to progress to the point of misalignment that excessive inside tire wear occurs and cannot be corrected.this tire wear left unnoticed, due to its concealment from view on the inside portion of the tire, is a safety hazard.the tires can wear unnoticed to the point of failure causing injury or death.my gs350, that i bought new, 1/25/08, has both rightside wheels out of alignment with no way to achieve proper alignment.inside tire wear is already apparent.vehicle has only 14,000 miles on it and with trunk and backseat empty of any added weight of cargo or passengers (which would only exacerbate the problem).even if empty, normal vehicle aging exacerbates the problem.inability to properly align wheels is unacceptable.this is a safety issue!

Lexus gs350 tire wear. Prior to 40000 miles, front tires showed wear on inside edges. Veh. Aligned, tire wear continued. At 46000 miles tires worn down beyond wear indicators on inside edges only. Replaced tires, alignment checked. Lexus advised that alignment was not bad. So why are the tires wearing out on the inside areas?

The contact owns a 2008 lexus gs 350. While driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle accelerated on its own without warning. The speed reduced after the contact applied the brake pedal. The failure recurred twice. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing on two separate occasions; however, the failure could not be located both times. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 36,720.
