Driver side knee airbag caused hematoma, second degree burn on l. Leg, resulting in 2 surgeries, use of wound vac for 2 1/2 months, and permanent lympedema and scarring on l. Calf. Driver has replaced knees that are at high risk if further crash and knee bag deploys again. Driver needs on-off switch installed for driver knee airbag.driver was not at fault in this accident and wants knee airbags removed or an on-off switch installed.the airbag on steering wheel deployed correctly and caused no damage. The knee airbag is a danger to driver.

"takata recall" we just bought a lexus350es in september 2016, and were not aware of the takata recall until we received a recall letter on 2/17/17.the letter stated that "lexus is currently preparing the remedy for this problem and will send another notification to all affected owners when the remedy becomes available.and, what should we do?"until the remedy becomes available, we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat" and, "we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this will cause, but we are taking this action to ensure your safety" are you frickin kidding me?? we did not buy this so called, nicer car, and spend this much money, to not be able to drive it with an occupant...to transport, to go to & from work, or shop, to do that part of our life that requires a vehicle!!! no, nothing has happened yet, and we have not been in an accident that would trigger the air-bad to injure or kill the passenger; but how can we utilize the car if it is dangerous to our life and needs a repair, that is not even available??on top of all this, when we were doing the paperwork to purchase this car from carmax, and it came to their disclosure form "important information regarding your purchase- manufacturer recalls and acknowledgment", it indicated that the box marked was " no open recalls reported by nhtsa". The takata recall was a reported recall!we would not have purchased this lexus es350 if we had known about this airbag recall.and, if the form that carmax used stating that there were no recalls, stated that there was an airbag recall in massive numbers; we would have investigated and realized that this recall did not have a remedy, we would not have bought this car!! i feel screwed without a solution.what do we do?what solution is there for us so that we can drive the car safely. ???

There idea of a fix is not to let any passengers ride in your passenger seat until the airbag has been fixed. This might be ok for a month or so, but it is getting absurd now.

My only complaint is that i have been advised not to carry a passenger and am offered condolences for the inconvenience, but this problem has been known for nine months with no resolution. That is a long time to either not carry a passenger or worry if i do.

Driver has replaced knees that are at high risk if further crash and knee bag deploys again. I parked the car in my indoor garage (part of the interior of my home).several hours later, i began to feel ill and collapsed on the floor.i was able to call 911 and an emergency crew responded to my home.i was unable to open the door, but they were able to gain access.they immediately determined that my home was filled with carbon monoxide and found that the source was the car in the garage.they determined that the car's engine had been left on and the battery was dead.this was the result of me walking away from the car, which has a "smart-key" ignition, with the engine still running.i did not hear any alert from the car warning me that the engine was running.the medics said that 5 more minutes in my home would have been fatal, and i was rushed by ambulance to a hospital, where i remained for 3 days.

Michelin defender tires just have 10 miles on them . They have always had extreme road noise, they handle awful. I'm really thinking of taking them off and putting on yokohamas or goodyear or any tire other than michelin defenders,also while turning with defender tires it feels like i have to hold the wheel extra tight because iit feels like the tires feel bigger than they are,like i'm turning in mud. Also i rotate my tires every oil change. All in all terrible tires. I wish i could get some kind of refund from michelin tire company.
