Hid headlamps impose a serious problem for oncoming drivers. Recently, i was driving home and encountered an oncoming vehicle with hid headlamps coming up a hill and around a curve. As it reached the i was momentarily blinded by the brilliant blue/purple light which seemed to peak in intensity for just a couple of seconds. However, following this incident, i found myself seeing flashbulb like spots in my field of vision for several minutes after. Since it was dark and the road way is rural, there was no way to identify the make of vehicle. I do suspect that it was a higher end car. I have seen these headlights on lexus and other makes and while the light has been exceptionally bright in the past, this is the first time that i have really been seriously bothered by them to where i was concerned about my safety and being able to continue to drive into darkness after the encounter. I can see where these headlamp systems would be an issue on two lane rural roads for drivers of oncoming vehicles.

Lexus es300 has transmission failure problems.consumer wants to know why this vehicle have so many problems with the transmission. *njthe consumer stated he had to wait almost a month for the transmission to arrive from japan. The contact owns a 2017 (na) lexus es300. While stopped at a traffic light with the brake pedal depressed, the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (hennessy lexus, 3383 satellite blvd, duluth, ga 30096) where the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 889. The vin was not available.
The consumer received a recall(99v-307) notice on steering wheel set nut,but there was no dealer in the consumer's area and was unable to get it fixed.
Consumer cannot see the front right side of vehicle due to the design of the vehicle.*mran accident occurred as a result.
