After 2.5 years of satisfactory operation, the front passenger airbag sensor light began to intermittently change between "on" and "off" with my 100 lb. Wife as the front seat passenger (same wife, same weight within +/- 3 lbs,),lexus dealer tried 2 recalibrating with no success.lexus customer support says sensors are designed to detect adults weighing 84 lbs or more."[xxx]" said it really didn't matter because of protection from the seat belt, other air bags (side) and "sturdy construction".information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Takata recall: lexus has been unable to repair our passenger-side airbag in a reasonable time from the may 3, 2016, amendment to the november 3, 2015, consent order requiring the replacement of said airbag.

Takata recall- lexus has not fixed our inflator.it has been a whole year since the recall.when?

Apparently, lexus mailed a recall notice to my home address sometime in june (the letter does not have a date that it was issued) about the takata passenger airbag problem. However, i did not know about the recall notice until after i made a long trip with my sister from atlanta, ga to melbourne, fl in mid june 2016. Fortunately my sister and i were not in an accident during that trip, but if i had known about the recall beforehand, i would not have used the car for the trip. Lexus needs to do a better job of notifying their customers of serious problems that could result in major injury or death. I am angry that my husband and i cannot make full use of this car and that lexus is not fixing this problem...they told us to wait another 6 months. Why should i have to continue making car payments on a vehicle that is defective and dangerous. Shame on the car manufacturers lexus (toyota) and many others who knew that takata air bags were defective and yet still installed them in their cars in the name of saving dollars. Disgusting!

Takata recall - took vehicle in for takatarecall with no issues with vehicle. Picked it up after "repair" only to find airbag light on. Made appointment to bring vehicle back in and now being told that there is a passenger occupancy sensor that has gone bad. They claim this issue does not have anything to do with the recall!! after researching online, i find complaint after complaint concerning this very issue. This sensor should be included in a recall as there is obviously a defect with the sensor with so many complaints about it. And it is a high dollar fix.

Takata recall, i don't understand why it has taken so long to address this issue. I was notified almost one year ago, i had to take a long trip with my family this past november 2016, and lexus did provide a rental, however, the recall has mademy family have to plan not to use the front sit and limits the vehicle's useful purpose. What disturbs me more, there has not been any further information regarding a scheduled remedy. How do you plan your vehicle's use? a projected scheduled remedy is in order, older vehicles affected should have priority, if schedules are announced it would be difficult for dealers to pick and choose what vehicle owners get serviced and in what order.

We received a notice by mail that the airbags in our vehicle was being recalled and additional information regarding repair would be forthcoming. The notice was received may 2016, almost a year ago and no further notice has been received. The only recommendation from lexus was to not have anybody sit in the front passenger seat which means not having full use of my own vehicle. This delay in taking action is unacceptable.

Takata recalli received a recall notice in may 2016. I inquired about the repair and was told parts would not be available until jan 2017. I called again and was told the parts are still not available. Please do something to expedite the repairs.

Takata recallreceived a notification for owners of vehicles with takata airbag inflators

"takata recall". I called my local lexus dealership to see if i could get a rental car until they were able to fix my car.what they offered was ridiculous.they would approve $30.00 a day for rental car with a $1,000.00 limit. The parts will not be available until 2017. That would mean that i would be responsible for over five month for a rental car.my honda truck is on the same recall and they offered me free rental which i am driving. I tried to call lexus at 800-255-3987 but they drop the line after holding for over15 minutes twice.i am retired and we have 3 grandchildren so my car will not be safe to drive when they visit.plus, my wife and i will not be able to ride together unless she sits in the back seat.the offer by lexus is not acceptable especially since honda has offered a more reasonable option.thank you

Takata airbag recall.notified in july 2016 of the issue of the takataairbag recall and was instructed by local lexus dealer (motor city lexus, bakersfield, ca) to refrain from allowing passengers to ride in front passenger seat.extreme hardship because my wife recently had surgeries and getting in and out of rear seat is difficult and uncomfortable.monthly contact with lexus dealer regarding repair have been met with arrogant disregard for repair request.[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Nothing has happened i am complaining as lexus has known about this since may and still haven't been contacted to fix my vehicle?

My takata recall on my passenger air bag was recalled.i was scared to drive since my former 2004 lexus airbag was not functioning properly. So i did not drive it for 3 yrs knowing my husband could not ride in the front sure to being handicapped, from a stroke, he could not get into the back seats.i owned a 2004 lexus was totaled in 2010 and neither airbag deflated either .

Takata recall.my father was told about an inflator recall on his passenger side airbag last year (may 2016).he was told to continue driving the car but it was recommended that no one ride in the passenger seat.my father is 90 years old and still carries a valid driver's license. My mother is 84.putting her in the backseat of the car for a few months would be inconvenient but doable. Putting her in the backseat for over a year is unacceptable (not to mention she refuses to be chauffeured around the city by my father).i work for american honda motor co. And it is our policy to get people out of their cars until such time as they can be fixed.i am concerned that lexus does not have this same policy. If that airbag deploys during a collision, i have no doubt it will kill my mother. I think it only appropriate that my parents be provided a rental at lexus' expense until the inflator can be replaced (hopefully sometime in 2017).

Takata recall: it is taking too long to remedy this airbag situation. It is an extreme inconvenience to have passengers ride in the rear.fix it or upgrade my vehicle!

Takata recall i have been waiting for the fix for almost a year called the dealership and they said hopefully in september of 2017.seems a bit crazy to me

Takata recallmy letter is dated.july9th 2016 i would like to find our why this problem has not been corrected. I have not had a passenger for over a year.

Takata recall.lexus states that "do not operate vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat".have done this since may 2016.this is an unreasonable request for a family of 5.to date, lexus has exceeded the time frame to replace the air bags and no replacement in sight.have called lexus..still no timeline for remedy.my son's honda pilot airbag has been replaced. Is lexus waiting for an accident to happen?we need you to push lexus to remedy this problem.

I began to notice after long drives, a smell similar to a car overheating. One night, while warming the car up, the alternator light came on (the battery symbol). I figured it was probably my battery and decided to call an uber. In the short time that i waited for my ride, the car began to smoke. The next morning i took the car to my mechanic and he discovered that engine oil was leaking from the valve cover gaskets down into the alternator causing an electrical short circut.

I have lexus es350 year 2010 ,i have problem with the battery need to jump star i bring to the dealer to check ,they told me need to change the battery ,with the full price $198.00 ,they told me the battery on my car is no more warranty i have no idea ,but the battery on my carfrom lexus logo and with the 84 month warranty on it , if you counting back on the car 2010until now is not 60 month yet , but the told me no morewarranty ,they say the lexus company only warranty for 2 years i have take the picture on that battery they have part no.# 00544-mf24f-575 575cca/130rc84 month warrantylexus logo distributed by toyota motor the serial # 2111278637please can you tell me is that still warranty or not , and what do i have to do next , because i think that the lexus cheating on customeron the warranty , need some advise ,thanks

1.when backing out of the garage, the backup sensor sometimes starts beeping when there is nothing behind the vehicle. 2.driving car on dan ryan expressway. Pressing left side buttons on steering wheel, attempting to change the sound level, channel, or radio mode (fm1,fm2,am, etc.). Instead, nothing may respond, or right side buttons respond; i.e., car began dialing a phone number (using bluetooth). Took car to my dealership, orland park lexus of il on november 20, 2017. Was advised there is nothing they can do because neither of these problems has occurred in their presence. I had previously paid for an electronics testing check up just before my 7 year extended warranty expired (november 2017). I indicated these same types of concerns. They had not kept of record of this, stating they did not see any of the problems then either, so the check-out sheet (based on my initially expressed concerns) were reflected any where in their records. Instead, they took off the cost of the car review price (when they fixed other things). Thus erasing any record of my expressing concerns related to these issues. They also said it might indicate a computer issue, but as there was no problem when seen at their shop, no record is being kept. I asked what the price might be to replace the computer. They indicated not knowing. I have no records to 'upload'. I am concerned that if i had problems while driving, what if my phone is the next thing to go out? chicago area streets are not that safe.

At 59000 miles my 2010 lexus experienced rough shifting up through the gears and down the gears until the car comes to a full stop. I took the vehicle to the lexus dealer near me in florida. They diagnosed the rough shifting as a bad transmission that needed to be replaced. Although the powertrain has a 7 year 70,000 mile warranty for defects, the factory customer satisfaction representative only offered to offset the $7,000 cost of transmission replacement by $3,000. I do not think that i should be responsible for any portion of the cost associated with the premature failure of the transmission. Although the vehicle is 10 model years old it has been carefully driven less than 60,000 miles. Most of the miles are highway miles as this is our second car and is used primarily for driving trips. It is garaged during inclement weather. Has been serviced only by a lexus dealer since new. It is my concern that lexus has provided me with a defective product that failed after 59,000 miles through no fault on my behalf. Because the car exceeded the years of the warranty sitting in a garage not being used should not be the deciding factor. I request your assistance to have lexuscorrect a defective transmission that has not been used for the 70,000 miles that should be the controlling factor not the amount of time the vehicle was only lightly used and carefully maintained

The seat material deteriorated and thread falls apart causing seat to fall apart.the repairs for the single seat were estimated at $2,300.00

Minor uneven pavement causes this vehicle to wobble and difficult to steer.notice this since we bought it about 2 years ago.

Location: where front driver side door attaches to body of vehicle. The upper hinge from the door that attaches to the body, is detaching from the body of the car. The material that the door attaches to does not appear to be metal, it appears to be some sort of fiberglass. I will be shocked if you do not have any other owners complaining. If you have not, the only reason i can guess is that other owners have not looked at this area where the door attaches to the body. Mine is still working, but it is just a matter of time before it becomes a major problem. The door has already shifted somewhat where the door does not shut like it should.this problem was diagnosed when the vehicle was stationary.

Insidedashboard is very sticky and lexus told me that there was a recall on this and we were never notified.

I am having a problem with my side view mirrors. They keep poppingloose, swinging freely on it's base.one time the mirror popped loose while i was driving. Could not see traffic in the right lane. Could cause an accident.

Melted dashboard which creates glare right in my line of vision. I have noticed other older lexus models have the same problem as well as other toyota vehicles.

I am having a problem with my side view mirrors. They keep poppingloose, swinging freely on it's base.one time the mirror popped loose while i was driving. Could not see traffic in the right lane. Could cause an accident.

Both rear view mirrors for the driver side and passenger side spontaneously popped off and would no longer stay in place. They would just swivel back and forth while driving. I needed to use tape to keep them in place while driving. I heard a loud popping sound while my car was parked and the mirror just fell backwards. Nothing hit the mirror and i was in the car as it happened. The popping mirror happened on two separate occassions. The first time happened while i was driving and i thought something had hit my mirror and caused it to break. However, i didn't see anything hit it while driving. I only heard a loud noise. The second time confirms that the mirror spontaneously broke on its own. This becomes a safety hazard as my mirror broke while i was driving and i could no longer use my rear view mirror.
